msmoon: (Gargoyles - Lex nerd)

The area we live in right now is under an ice-storm warning. Local officials have shut down pretty much everything for the day (schools, nonessential businesses, etc.), and warned everyone to be prepared. They’re expecting anywhere from 1 1/2 to 2 inches of ice to fall, and that could mean downed power lines. Mom and I have gotten pretty much everything we could possibly need for this occasion. We have plenty of water and food and wood for the fire. We’ve charged up our cell phones as well, and cleaned and then filled my bath tub with water (just in case). Over all, we’re pretty set to hunker down and wait till Wednesday or Thursday...whenever the weather decides to brighten up a bit :)

In other news, this morning while we were watching the Food Network, a show came on that I’d never seen before in my life. But it was a show called Giada at Home and the only reason I kept watching it was because they showed some sort of sushi roll and someone in the back was saying “Doesn’t that look good?” Or something like that. And Mom was like, “Oh look, she’s gonna show you how to make sushi.” and so...you know, I taped it (naturally). But the sushi she was making...well, it just didn’t thrill me. So, I did what I always do, turn to my dear friend Google. From my search I found 2 web sites:
Sushi Recipes and Sushi Links. From the Sushi Links place, I found the Sushi Magic Kit which looks fantastically awesome (it’s also awesomely fantastic :D), and that is now the top priority on my Amazon.com Asian Theme Wish List. Among the myriad of books in my Book Wish List, the one at the top of the list is Sushi For Dummies (for obvious reasons :D). Also, if you scroll down a little, you’ll see after all the sushi books the Where’s Waldo? The Complete Collection book XD Feel free to laugh, I usually do.....my goodness but I did love those books.

Anyway...it has been a busy day. Mom didn’t sleep well, so she’s gone off to take a nap. I plan to stay in the living room for a while and hang the clothes up when they’re done...and make sure the fire does not go out. Other than that, it seems it will be a very slow, lazy day.

Last night, before I went to bed, I managed to upload a bunch of pictures to my
deviantART page. I now have 2 small galleries, one is Trees and the other is Sunset. I’m actually really happy with all of them. Sunset especially, but I did manage to get some really good shots of those trees in Bayou Blue. So, I’m happy with both.

....I really can’t think of anything else to write...Ice storm - check. Sushi obsession - check. Photos on deviant - check. Guess that’s everything. :) Later, Sunshines.

What day'z it again?

2007-Feb-18, Sunday 09:12 pm
msmoon: (Firefly - Crazy Wash)
My good friends, if you have not voted on LJ Idol this week, I strongly recommend that you check the poll…and vote for me while you’re at it ^.^

Thanks for your support!

Anywho...man. This LJ Idol stuff kinda takes it outta ya. I mean...I spend the first half of my week agonizing over what I’m gonna write. It’s weird. It’s weird having deadlines on my writing/creativity O.o Makes me wonder if I’d actually be able to do it professionally =.=

Plenty’s been going on. My dear cousin, Scamp, came down with a combination of Bronchitus and salmonella poisoning. That’s right, she had that nasty dinosaur-ridden peanut butter (“Kid’s voice: I think salmonella is a type of dinosaur..” Sha.) She had an upset stomach one day and had peanut butter on toast to settle her stomach =.= Only several days after eating this peanut butter did she hear on the news that all peanut butter with the first numbers “211” on them were recalled because of salmonella poisoning. That’s when the whole sickness thing came to light. SO …she is now recovering from that, although last I heard the bronchitis had gotten beater. Man…she just couldn’t get one sickness. Oh no! She’s too special for that. Damn over achiever issues.

What else is there? Oh, not that much of anything but, on Warcraft, I deleted almost all of my Hoard characters on Icecrown, deciding that Icecrown would be my Alliance server. So Bonnianne (human mage), Qiralyn (Nigh elf Druid), Dolithiel (Draenei Shaman), and Leikra (Dwarf Paladin) are all on Icecrown still. Jezeth (Troll Hunter) is still there temporarily...till I can work up the money to have her switched to Sentinels. Sentinels is where I have my Hoard characters. So far, I have Yaviel (Blood Elf Warlock), Yalisilwen (Blood Elf Hunter), and Suzii (Tauren Warrior) on Sentinels. Although, I haven’t gotten the chance to actually play Suzii much =.= I gotta admit...I’m not that into Warriors...I only made her as a Warrior because she’s got Druid, Shaman, Hunter and Warrior as her only options; and dammit! I want a Tauren! They’re…cool…..even if I can’t figure out a way to make such a character interesting…I’m just very warily of making her a hunter, because then that’ll be 3 hunters. Some might say having two hunters is like having the same thing. Oh, no my friends. Having a Troll hunter and a Blood elf hunter are two very different things. But, having a Troll hunter and a Tauren hunter might be very similar. So I’m staying away from that class...even though I do love the Hunter class. So, it was either Druid, Shaman or Warrior and I thought, “hmm…never really played as a warrior…*shrug*”.

Another thing I’d been wanting to do was make some sort of RPG icon for LJ, but have it with my old characters from EQ and my newer characters from WoW..like a moving Giff. Only for some reason, LJ never liked the giffs I made before when I had working corel draw and now that it’s busted I’m sorta stuck. It keeps “Unable to create a DOM document. Class not registered. Verify that MSXML4 is installed”. So I’m prowling the internet for that, even though I’m not sure what I’m doing O.o’ I’m trying the Windows site now…let’s hope that helps. (It’s what it’s there for right?)

Also, I finally ordered something from Amazon.com. Well, a few somethings actually. I figured, I haven’t ordered in a while, I’ve been watching my money like a good little girl, and I got a nice refund from the tax people just recently, so it’s ok to actually get something for myself. Plus pay-day is this Friday, and I did so good between pay-days that I had lots of cash in the bank still. I’ve been meaning to expand my (nearly nonexistent) Manga collection for some time now. I have something like 3 or 4 series up on my Manga wish list, and I’ve yet to start acquiring any of them. So I bought the first and second volumes of Fruits Basket; one of my favorite animes every. Before this anime came along, I had no idea there was such a thing as genki angst. Then I also go a DVD called The Greatest Journeys on Earth - Japan: Journeys on the Tokaido, because while I do enjoy reading, if it comes to something such as learning, I can’t learn very well from reading. Now, if it’s on the History channel or Animal Planet or the Discovery channel...it stays in my brain for years. So buying documentaries on stuff I think is cool works. I also go I’m not Dead by Pink...just because ^___^

…….I think that’s it for me. I’m gonna give a slight ‘Mouto-chan update. Chibi is still doing very well at college in Arkansas. She said that this semester is much easier than the others (though by no means easy) and she’s allowed a bit of a social life. She also said that she’d be coming down for …something…not Spring Break but something else that they have, and it’d be around May-ish. Then she probably wouldn’t be down till Christmas break, which really works because Scamp and I might actually be moved into the Nexus by then and we could have our Christmas celebration there! Coolness! On the Reiko front, things have been fun. Reiko called me Wednesday (I think it was…) and asked if I planed to live with my parents forever…like I’ve got the word “Looser” tattooed on my back or something. It’s not what she said, but how she said it. I informed her that Scamp and I would be moving in the Nexus later in the year. Turns out she’s looking at buying a house in Hammond because it’s closer to the school she needs to go to, and she can buy one at auction cheap from the state. Of course, she’d looked to me as a potential room mate…but that was till she realized I’d have my own house. She also has a new pet rat (her rats are cute guys…seriously. Stop making those faces! They’re really sweet!). Her first pet rat is Milo…he’s kind of this off grayish rat…maybe white with grey tips or something. Anyway, he’s pretty big, and she has her grey cat Chimera (after the band), and Pet Smart (where she works) gave her another rat, because it’s tail is stubbed off and no one wants it. She’s a lot smaller than Milo and she’s dark brown (mouse brown ^.^). She said that she wants to mate the female to Milo later once she’s matured. She asked me what I thought she should name it, and I told her to name her “Joyce”. For you Milo & Otis fans out there, I’m sure you know why ^____^…oddly enough it feels like my ‘Mouto-chans are moving far, far away from me….s’a good thing Scamp’s moving in soon. Otherwise, I’d feel abandoned or something =.=

Eureka! Corel is now working! I just needed to download something from the windows site and I’m good! Thank goodness.

Well, my sleeping meds are kicking in. I’ll be logging off, sunshines. But here’s a nice bout of Sunday Quizzes for you…

No Bones About It

msmoon: (CSI)
I would like to take a second to express my unfathomable joy that they are finally releasing the first season of Bones on DVD. It’s odd, but I find that I actually enjoy Bones more than I do CSI; and we all know how much I love CSI. I have added the first season box set to my wish list, and I cannot wait until I have the resources available to buy it. That definitely has to go on the list of things Chibi must see. It’s too smart and fun and cool not to.

…That’s all.

Holy cow...I haven’t been this sore in a long time (or if I was, I don’t remember it). Last night, we did nothing but laugh for about..*thinks* 4 hours...Reiko didn’t get there till about an hour after I did though. I got there at 5:20 ish. My throat is sore too from all the crazy laughing and the cool night air. Thank God for warm tea.

But enough about me feeling like petrified crap. Today Mom woke me at 10 to go to town. I needed to drop Reiko’s birthday present to me in the bank so I could buy something. Then we stopped at Target to see if they had any more of the art that I was hoping for but no luck there. We did find a DVD rack that was selling their DVDs for $3.98 or something like that. I got Fun with Dick & Jane, Memoirs of a Geisha, The March of the Penguins, Spiderman 2, and UltraViolet. Not a bad haul considering it was all $22 something. And that was just Target. When I got home, I ordered Races of Destiny (Dungeons & Dragons Supplement), Field of Dreams, The Pacifier, The Mists of Avalon, Pride & Prejudice, and Smokey and the Bandit Pursuit Pack. So my DVD collection just increased significantly. Probably shoulda asked around about The Mists of Avalon since I never did see it...But I figured it was only $9 so it couldn’t hurt.

I am so sore...I’m gonna go finish my black-berry tea and watch another movie.

Boy did I ever open up a can of worms the other day. Mom and I were at Books A Million, just casually strolling around, when we saw a section devoted to the National Audubon Society...Now, most of you will not understand the significance of this find. I for one did not know that the Audubon Society (maythestarsevershineuponthem) had made other guides, though it stands to reason why they would. Many years ago, Chibi’s mom, my former tutor, gave me a copy of The National Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Rocks and Minerals when she noticed my interest in the different rocks and minerals (and the book itself of course). That book became an invaluable source when creating my world and is still used as a reference to this day. The book was so complete in its information that I really had no need for any other books about the subject (even though I still like collecting them). Learning that there are other books of this caliber on other subjects that interest me (especially, but not limited to, the books on Weather, The Night Sky, Trees both East & West, and Mushrooms.) has of course increased my Guides Wish List extremely. This is partially due to the fact that Books-A-Million had a big price tag on their copies..and partially because I believe you can find almost anything on Amazon and perhaps even get it cheaper than anywhere else ^.^

Other than this...I have nothing left to say. Well, there’s plenty to say, but at the moment, I’m too tired to do so. So...goodnight.

The Medicated Blues

Wow...the last few days, man. They’ve been a bit odd. Not too long after my post Tuesday, I got this terrible migraine and had to go home. I got there and Aunt Lane’s dog, Pocco, was in his kennel so I took him out first so that he wouldn’t have any accidents in the house. Then I took a quick shower, and by that time Mom and Aunt Lane were back home. Mom gave me two pills for my migraine, and I took both o them. Afterwards she says, “You didn’t take both of those did you?” and I was like “yeah…” and she says “You were only supposed to take one and take the other 8 hours later!!” so, she and Aunt Lane kept watching me like they expected me to plop over all ‘timber’ like any second, but my constitution doesn’t get sedated easily na no da. Other than not being able to move suddenly or walk a straight line, I was fine. Talk about knock the headache out too.

The next day (yesterday), I had my OBGYN appointment at 9. Luckily for me, they’re prompt and efficient along with being friendly too. I got a 3 month sample of my birth control pills and a prescription for when those are over with. When I got to work, they asked how it went and what I’d gone for because all I’d told them was I had a doctor’s appointment. I said, “I took off my Wonder Woman underoos, put on my big-girl drawers, and went to my OBGYN.” We all laughed at that.

Yesterday we got about 16 charts in the mail and the day before that we had 13…..my estimate for today? Close to 200. They’ve been doing that the past week or so. Earlier in the week, or mid-week, there aren’t that many charts coming in, but Thursday and Friday suck! It doesn’t bother me too much, because it means that I have plenty to do from the moment I sit down till it’s time to go. Like, yesterday was tough for me at first because I’d finished all my work and there was very little to do. Lacey had done all the copying and our shredder died on us (rest it’s poor little mechanical soul) so I was like “I need something to do.” Luckily there’s always something to do, even if it doesn’t fall under my job criteria. So when Nicole left, she handed me the 800+ invoices that she’d been saving up that were supposed to go in folders in one of her drawers and asked me to put them in order. The folders that she has are categorized by the name of the companies and she prefers to have the most recent towards the back. So I worked on that after she left at 2. I was happy to say that I got all the way up to the company Foundation Coal done.

I don’t know why, by my mouth has been really soar lately...like the inside, all around my lips. It aches and itches and when I eat, it feels like sandpaper rubbing against my mouth. It’s really bad. And this morning, I noticed that my eyes were itching too…I hope it’s nothing. But I’m gonna ask the nurses this morning when I go in what they think of it. Lori worked in ICU for a long time and she’s seen a lot, so she’s got a wealth of knowledge when dealing with things like that. Either way, I’m glad I have my benedryl handy in case the itching should get too bad. Of course, that’ll put me in a proverbial coma, but at least I won’t be itchy.

I guess that’s all for now. Hope everyone else is having a better week than me =.=

You are "Sleeping"

Harvest Moon

PS: Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Last night I impulsively bouth the 3rd and 4th seasons of Batman the Animated Adventures. I really just wanted to have at least one complete fandom in my DVD collection, and that was not only cheap but easy to get. So yay for me and my Nerd Card. On the flip side, I won't be buying anything (for myself) for a very long time.

Apathetic Behavior

2006-Oct-28, Saturday 11:25 pm
msmoon: (Supernatural)
For some odd reason, I kinda drifted away from LJ-Land...I’ve been getting online with no definite purpose of what I wanted to do, and then totally forgetting to do everything. That includes e-mail, IMs, World of Warcraft, and LJ. So, if it’s any consolation, I’m not just forgetting LJ =.=

Ok, so what’s been happening...um, been dreaming up more stuff for my story. Thursday night I actually signed up at the CWTV site to check our more Supernatural stuff since the last episode (and all the others before it) rocked my socks. I also did something I’ve never done before. I actively posted the Supernatural message boards there. Was kinda cool. Not as fun as having a chat or IMing people. But still...ok.

Today’s been kinda bad. Mom and I weren’t feeling good, but we went to town anyway. Mom was supposed to pick up her brand new Toyota hybrid car, but when she went to get it, it wasn’t right. She ordered a dark red car with tan interior…they car they showed her was dark red with dark grey interior...Mom didn’t like it and she said if she was gonna pay that much for a car it better be exactly what she wanted. And I believe she’s right. They’re gonna fix that mess up.

We got food from Chili’s for lunch. We got it to go because we weren’t feeling well, and while we were there I started having really really bad abdominal pain. We got our order 25 minutes after ordering (my chicken crispers and her southwestern eggrolls), and headed home. I had a really bad diarrhea episode when we got home. The worst it’s been in a while, and I was sore the rest of the afternoon. But I was still very hungry, and I’ve learned to try shrugging off pain, so I forgot about it quickly.

Luckily we had something to distract us. We watched the new Pride & Prejudice movie together. Mom’s never really gotten P&P before…it’s not that she never tried, it’s just they’ve all been these long, old movies that had language that was so far above her at the time that she didn’t get into it. She and I both enjoyed this one a lot. Of course that made me realize that I didn’t have any of Jane Austen’s book in my Amazon.com wishlist. So, I went over and found The Oxford Illustrated Jane Austen, a six volume set, and added it to my list. Of course, it’s way too expensive right now, but eventually I’ll add it to my library.

Now I’m watching the episode of Supernatural that I taped Thursday, because once is never enough. But I feel the meds kicking in already, so I’m gonna go ahead and close this. Goodnight everyone.

The Sonnet
Deliberate Gentle Love Dreamer (DGLDf)

Romantic, hopeful, and composed. You are the Sonnet. Get it? Composed?

Sonnets want Love and have high ideals about it. They're conscientious people, caring & careful. You yourself have deep convictions, and you devote a lot of thought to romance and what it should be. This will frighten away most potential mates, but that's okay, because you're very choosy with your affections anyway. You'd absolutely refuse to date someone dumber than you, for instance.

Your exact opposite:
Genghis Khunt

Random Brutal Sex Master
Lovers who share your idealized perspective, or who are at least willing to totally throw themselves into a relationship, will be very, very happy with you. And you with them. You're already selfless and compassionate, and with the right partner, there's no doubt you can be sensual, even adventurously so.

You probably have lots of female friends, and they have a special soft spot for you. Babies do, too, at the tippy-top of their baby skulls.

ALWAYS AVOID: The 5-Night Stand, The False Messiah, The Hornivore, The Last Man on Earth

CONSIDER: The Loverboy

Good morning! I woke up a little early today, because the boss-lady gave us all bonuses the other day for working so hard through the audit. And there’s no other way for me to deposit the thing unless I remember to leave early -.-

I would just like to take this time to point out what a cool month October is. Not only is it the only time of year when you can dress ridiculously and get away with it, but tons of cool people are born in this month. I’ve always said that the ‘ber’ months (September, October, November & December) are the coolest months of the year. I included November and December because you get together with family and eat a lot in those two months. This month not only is it my birthday but the following people celebrate birthdays as well: Dreamie, Sephiroth, Chibi, Jen-Twin-san, Crooked halo, Anowyn, and Purrsia. Tons of uber-cool people.

Now that that’s been said I feel much better. Scamp said she got my birthday present in, which is very good since the stress of not getting it was sending her into spazes. Speaking of spazes, I really need to wrap Chibi’s and Reiko’s gifts. I intend to send Chibi’s some time next week...probably the 9th. Although I don’t know how or when >.< I have to go in to work early that day (8) so I don’t know. I do know that I’ll get an hour break, so maybe I can get something to eat and drop it off. That’d be good.

I’ve been thinking of buying myself a few things off of my wish lists just because it’s my birthday and all. But I’m still not sure. I think I’ll wait till Friday, because that’s when the party is, and I’ve no idea what lacey may or may not have gotten me -.- then again, I don’t know if anyone else may’ve gotten me anything either. It’s not like it’s a huge birthday or anything. In two more years (when I’m 25), Mom and Dad may choose to make a bigger deal out of it since it’s sort of a mile stone...or some other such nonsense.

In other news...this is the fourth morning in a row that I’ve woken up with a sinus headache and had to take something right away for it. Damn humid south-LA climate. Why can’t we have seasons, dammit! Honestly! I’ve noticed that my ears are really sensitive to sound and touch. It’s just odd.../shrug oh well. I’ll live =.=

Uhhhhhh……I think that’s all. And even if it isn’t, I should probably finish getting ready. Ja-ne!

Wow. MM has been a very bad LJ girl. Bad MM. I’ve been meaning to post, I just never have worked up the proper enthusiasm for it. And I’ve been writing e-mails like crazy to Gillian, and on a working day, I can only focus my energy on one thing; writing her a e-mail or posting. Don’t ask for both na no da. So, updates and changes...let’s see...

Well, I’ve added on a few more Icons because I’m just nerdy that way. I also found the cutest mood icons hidden away in the recesses of AMOS. I guess I must’ve found them as a zip at one time and downloaded them with the intent of putting them on and then forgot about them. Problem is, I’ve no idea who made them in the first place. So, thank whoever you are from bringing the kawaii blobs back. I’m enjoying them very much.

I’ve been watching Lord of the Rings again. With my work schedule and all, it’s taken me a week to get to The Two Towers. Isn’t that just depressing? But then I’ve been watching all the bonus footage. And when I say all, I mean all.

In other news, I’ve been ripping all my CDs and putting all of my music on my computer. Why? Because I’m a paranoid nerd like that. Go figure. Also, my parents bought me Easy Media Creator 8 today for my birthday. Mom said she had no idea what to get me so she just wanted me to go with them and pick out what I wanted. So I did. Speaking of Birthdays, I have Gillian’s, Chibi’s and Reiko’s birthday presents. All I need to worry about now is my Twin’s. Which isn’t much of a worry since I’ve a pretty good idea what I’m gonna get her. You know, it’d be so much easier if everyone in the world had an Amazon.com wish list. Chibi always makes it extraordinarily easy for me to buy her things if only because she has a wish list with Amazon. Moving on...Oh, you know what? Gillian’s birthday is right around Thanksgiving, so if we end up getting together for Thanksgiving with our families like we’ve been hoping we would, I could actually give her her present…that’s be so cool!

Other than all that, not much is really going on. Other than me starving...which really doesn’t make sense when you consider that I’ve got a steak from Applebee’s sitting in the refrigerator...I think I hear it calling my name...So, till next time!

Beware, for I am: Sore Sore

Ok...so my day. Work was fun-ish. Pulled charts for a while, and the rain made the room more bearable. We worked for a while and then we had lunch (wingstop), and then... we had Connie’s ‘birthday’ party. That was fun. She musta turned seven different shades of red. That was a whole lot of fun. Unfortunately, I had to leave after that or I would’ve been over on the clock...I think. My math-ah-matic skills aren’t that great considering how early I woke up and how long I’d been up.

Anyway. Went home. Serious rain coming down. Thunder the works. It was great. So, I realized that I’ve bought Gill her gift right? And I have her Christmas gift lined up too. So I went online and got Chibi and Reiko’s gifts. I got both of their birthday and Christmas gifts, so I don’t have to get them anything for a long while. I’m glad I got that done and out of the way. I don’t think either of them read my journal regularly enough to read this, but either way, I’m still not posting what exactly I got them.

Went back to work for a couple of hours. Oh, and I told Lacey about my wish lists, so now she’ll have an easier time of finding something to get me for my birthday...that is if she can sift through the massive amount of crap I have up there to find something she would enjoy giving me, of course. Work was pretty uneventful. We’re still learning the scanner system thing, so we’re not really doing too much as far as for going paperless.

I tell you what though, I’ve been having diarrhea a lot lately...I know that’s not unusual for me...but I’ve actually gotten to the point where, I’m soar from it. It’s a little weird. I’ve got to watch how I get up and sit down and all that. Mom says if it doesn’t clear up in a few days I may have to go to the doctor. That’s just great. As if we need more doctor’s visits and patients in this house.

After that, I went home and showered and heard back from Reiko. She apologized for not coming over sooner, but she’s been very tied up with work and college. So I guess I’ll be understanding. She came over later and we watched a bit of Supernatural together and her boyfriend (Ty) was mesmerized by my Electric Sheep screen saver. It is awfully mesmerizing. Mom says so a lot. We’ll be sitting in the living room watching something, and she’ll get up and say “Oh! Look at the screen! Oh that’s so pretty!” ...Seriously.

After Reiko came and picked up her shirt (which reminds me, I need to update my site with pics), I continued to fart around on the computer (fart around? God, I’ve been hanging around with Lacey too long -.-). As a result of that my Jewelry Wish List has gotten much bigger =.=’ Now I’m thoroughly exhausted (mostly due to medication), and I’ll be going to bed. 5 a.m. always comes early...

It was all there. And then I realized...I was board out of my skull with nothing to watch. So I meandered over to Amazon and took a gander at my Movie wish list. I found four movies that were really cheap. Added together, they came to about $34 bucks (maybe a little over, what with taxes and shipping and what-not). Then, today, I happened to receive the Painted Ponies news letter. I went on over to take a gander at my favorite horse, Epic. Now, you really must understand; I promised myself when I saw this figurine that I’d buy him to go in my Zen-style, Japanese-ish room. So, I’ve always been kinda watching it. But...well I’ve been a little out of touch lately. I noticed his status was 'Retired' which meant if I didn’t buy soon, I might not be able to. ----_________---- I’m sure you see how that went. So, I’ve got about $40 in my bank now (according to my checkbook, although a check hasn’t gone through and that means I’ve got well over $300 according to the bank – God bless internet banking). But I do get paid Friday, so I’m not too worried. Still...probably coulda planned that a bit better. Oh well. What, with all the over-time and extra work I did these past two weeks, I shouldn’t be hurting Friday...when did I turn into a drama queen? Dear God, I must go take a pill or something...

Allrighty...so other stuff that’s goin’ on. Well, I moved up to full time officially. I have to be at work at 10 tomorrow and I work till five with a 30 minute break in-between there somewhere. That’s about all that’s really going on at work. Today I had lunch with Mom and Dad at Chick-Fil-A. Didn’t enjoy the food, but I really haven’t gone there a lot, so I didn’t know what to get. But I’ve got to try their cheesecakes some time. Maybe I’ll get like a whole bunch and bring them home for Mom and me sometime. Dad’s not a cheesecake type of guy. But anyway…about work...I’ve logged 154 charts so far this week, and it’s only been the first two days. Yesterday we got 118 in and that took all my time a-doin’. Today we only got 36 so I finished that up and made copies of the invoiced charts that Nicole was through with. Pretty long day. Oh, but I stopped by Dairy Queen (*angels singing*) and got a Hazelnut Moolate. /sighs oh, sinful rapture. I think I’ve decided that’s my favorite. Sure Moca is good, but Hazelnut is my fav fav. ………..I need to get a coaster. Something cool for when I have a drink or something at work...that’ll be cool. Yeah. A coaster...hmmm…where can I find a plethora of cool coasters?

Mom, Dad and I had a family night tonight and watched Hook. Mom’s been feeling bad lately and bored out of her skull. She’s been asking if I have any good movies we could watch and I say, ‘only the ones we’ve already seen’. So I said something about watching Hook and she was like, ‘isn’t that a bit immature?’ Then she realized that she had no idea what Hook was. She says she’s never seen it, but I’m betting that she has, she just doesn’t remember it. It’s an older movie after all. So we watched that and laughed. It was good.

Oh! This morning, I pulled out of my driveway and I was driving up the street, and what do I see but these three feathered butts! It was so cute! These three little ducks were just walking up the street. So I slowed down and they stopped! They were looking at my like “OK..why’s she stopping O.O!!!” and I’m like, “Kawaii ^.^ !!!!!!” So! I whipped out my cell phone and took a picture and made that my new wallpaper for my cell phone...too bad I can’t figure out how to get those pictures on the computer huh? Oh well...

I guess that’s all. Mom and Dad couldn’t find my shampoo at the store today...guess that means that Thursday after work I’ll be swinging by Wal-Mart for that too. What else do I need to remember? ...Oh yes! Must bring more candy to work tomorrow. Nicole came over the weekend with her two girls, and they kinda raided my candy bowl =.=’ Can’t say I’d’a done any different if I were a kid. Oh well. I’ve got plenty of Kisses (Hershey’s, that is) in the fridge. So that’s taken care of. Guess that’s all so far. Goodnight everyone!

Busy Morning

Beware, for I am: Sore Sore

I have new glasses! They’re really great too. My prescription didn’t change but ‘one click’ as the doctor called it. He said there’s only one click of difference on that thing they make you look though, and that’s not enough to be causing my headaches. So, he advised me to go and see my regular care doctor and tell them about it, because he doubts it’s something to do with my eyes. Of course, I don’t really have a regular care doctor. Then I got to thinking, and I’ve always wanted those transitions lenses that go from clear to dark in shade and light, so I got a new pair of glasses and got the transitions. It helped that both lenses and frames were all 50% off. Otherwise I might not have. So yeah, I have nifty new glasses that are very nice because they’re only half frames (the bottom of the lens doesn’t have a wire frame, so it’s not as heavy). And I no longer need clip-on sun glasses...I hope.

After going to the eye doctor, Mom and I headed over to Books A Million . They had sent us a thing in the mail that they were having a huge one-day sale. So we decided to go there while we waited to get my glasses. I ended up getting the D&D book Races of Eberron, which looks extremely cool. I can’t wait to read it, and what’s more, I can’t wait to take it off my Amazon.com wish list ^_____^ Oh, I also got a gift for Chibi and Reiko for Christmas...but I don’t have to elaborate on that ^_^

Speaking of the ‘Mouto-chans...Chibi should be home or coming home. I had that she was coming back yesterday on my calendar. Meanwhile, Reiko should be in Kansas now. So I suppose I’ll be heading over to My Space to send Reiko a message, and I’ll leave Chibi another comment on her journal. /sigh They never call, they never write. What’s an Ane-san to do?

So anyway...Mom and I then went to Sam’s to get some water. We’ve been out of water in the house for like, four days now. Mom said when she went to the store the other day, there was none. She’s been going stir crazy wanting a bottle of water and not having any in the house. So we got that. The traffic in town was atrocious of course, but we made it through. I suppose I should come to expect that on a Saturday...Anyway...Then we went to Sonic and from there back to the eye doctor and then it was home, James.

We ate when we got home and tried to watch some TV while doing so, but nothing was really on. Mom’s not as much of a rerun hound as I am. I can watch things that I enjoy over and over and not be overly board. Or at least not feel like I’m gonna puke. But as we couldn’t really find anything to watch, I came in my room and started cleaning up a bit. Mom’s got some real-estate lady come to appraise the house, and evidently she’ll be taking pictures as well. So, Mom’s all in panic mode about my room since it’s anything but clean. I have gotten everything up off the floor, the tables are clean and everything, I just need to find a place to put all this junk...It’s now all on my bed for now. But I thought I’d check in and see how everyone was doing. That’s pretty much everything that’s happened so far. I guess I’ll go back to cleaning now. Will post if something else should happen ^_^

I made two orders from Amazon.com, and they were shipped out Tuesday (the 14th). And I’ll be dad-gum if I can’t track their packages. All it says on the web site is that they were shipped out on the 14th and they’ll arrive anywhere between the 21st and the 24th. I really cannot stand the fact that Amazon.com has gotten so sloppy about customer service. Sure, I get the stuff, but I used to be able to track packages whenever I wanted just by being on Amazon and all. Waterfalls, people? Waterfalls!

But as for what I ordered, here’s a little list.

1. Batman - The Animated Series, Volume One (DC Comics Classic Collection)
2. City of Heroes Binder: Prima's Official Game Guide; Issues 1-6 (Prima Official Game Guides)
3. Frank Herbert's Children of Dune (TV Miniseries)
4. Thankful by Kelly Clarkson
5. Legend (Ultimate Edition)

I cannot wait till it arrives too. I mean honestly...

Wow. Today was huge. Work was busy, busy, busy, busy, busy and then...nothing. For like an hour and a half there was really nothing to do. So I wrote as I usually do. Started on the next chapter and then I realized...it’s kinda done. O.o...I just need to proofread and make sure everything’s in the right place...Freaky, no? I’m still unsure as to whether I should up date sooner than next month...I’ve been pushing the ‘I’ll update on the 5th of every month’ thing. Besides, if I have the next chapter done, I can focus on the chapter that comes after that; thus ensuring that I have myself set up for the next few months. It’s a nice pace to have...slow and steady.

Mom and I went to Sam’s today. OMG, I love that store. Where else can you buy 28 sharpie markers, all the same size, for cheap? No where. No really. I mean, you can get a supposed ‘value pack’ at Wal-Mart, but then you’re paying like $12 for 10 sharpies...or whatever...I’m not sure...it’s late, and I’m tired. What else...

Oh, yeah. I bought 3 movies while at Sam’s. I got Hook and Zathura for $23.99. Verry nice. And I got The Incredible Mr. Limpet which I only just added to my DVD wish list on Amazon.com the other day. It was like $5.99. So that was fun. Mom always laughs at me when I compare prices. She’s like, “Hon, you probably wouldn’t have bought it if it weren’t a deal.” And I’m like, “...Huh...you’re right.” So, yeah. That’s cool. We’re gonna wait till Saturday and watch Zathura with Dad, ‘cause none of us have seen it. I can’t wait to re-watch Hook and The Incredible Mr. Limpet.

My Mom keeps saying that eventually DVDs will be obsolete and they’ll have something new that we’ll keep movies on. I think we’ll have some sort of digital media that we watch movies on, and we’ll just pay to download them eventually. To hell with individual things like DVDs, MiniDiscs, and the stone-age VHSs. Give me a portable computer triked out with terabytes of space any damn day.

Ok. I’m starting to sound like a zoned out hippy that’s missing the good old days. And I still haven’t copies these entries to e-mail for Jen-Twin-san. I’m gonna log off now. ‘Night-night.

Beware, for I am: Image hosted by Photobucket.com Happy

Well today was a rush. I actually was busy all the way till lunch. Then...well, I was just as busy after lunch too. Mostly typing stuff, copying some stuff, and staying on the phones and such. Oh! I did do one fax. I love faxing. To me it’s fun. And I could totally kick myself because I forgot to bring in my time sheet for the staffing place. I was in such a hurry /rolls eyes. I’ll have to try and get it to them tomorrow...or something. I dunno. Oh, and I also learned that they do casual Fridays. I wish someone would’ve told me that before I dressed up. But I suppose it can’t really be helped.

Yesterday, Mom had called and said that the pork chops that she’d planned to cook were bad, and that she didn’t know what to fix. She’d already fixed smothered potatoes and green beans, but she didn’t have any ideas for the main course. So, I offered to get some Poppy’s fried chicken for us. She liked that because it meant she didn’t have to cook anything last-minute! Whenever I request a 2-peice white meat over there, they give me a breast, a wing and a drum stick...doesn’t really make sense, but that’s me requesting a 2 piece and they’re giving me three. So, I ate the wing and leg and had the breast today at work. It was so good. Sometimes they just cook it so well.

There was a small lull at work around 2, and I took that time to check LJ and then sneak over to [profile] bri_chan’s deviant art page. She had some new stuff. Her Alice in Wonderland art is amazing. You can see her love for the characters showing through. And the picture of Sata and Brooklyn with their wing talons clasped /sigh so sweet...I’m still not quite sure what I think of the mansion maid...but still it’s very well done. I almost expected to see some Bambi art after her last post. Her ‘review’ of the movie only reinforces the want to buy the DVD too. And now that I’m making money, I can actually start getting stuff off of that enormous wish list of mine.

Oh also, I was reading over my Writer’s Digest during my lunch break. I have 3 of them all piled up that I haven’t been paying attention to for a while, and I figure since I’m stuck here anyway I might as well read them. I’ve been wanting to, I just never seemed to find the motivation to actually sit and read them. Anyway, I came across the whole writer’s digest book club offer, and I thought, “Hmm...that might actually be fun.” So I’ve decided to join. You get 3 books free for buying one for $19.98, and that isn’t a bad deal at all. And besides that, you don’t have to purchase anything afterwards...though it’s more than likely that I will be purchasing a few things /grin. I just never figured that I would join a book club. I mean, it’s one of those things you think about and say ‘yeah maybe someday’ or ‘that might be fun to do later’ but I’m actually gonna be able to do it now. I find it slightly thrilling...then I remind myself that I’m all excited about joining a book club, and I tell myself to get over it. I think I’ll wait till my second pay period though...I’m still not sure what my checks should look like, so I don’t want to risk spending too much on other stuff.

One thing’s for sure; if my next pay check is big, I will be paying my insurance in advance. I want to get that out of the way. I’ve always been the type; I want to pay my bills as early as possible so that I don’t have to worry about them till the next time I have to pay them. Then I can divide up the rest of my check into savings, checkings of the fun fund /wiggles eyebrows.

I remember the last time Dad and I went to the movies I told him, “When I get a good paying job, I’m gonna wait till I’ve paid my bills, then I’m gonna get a $50 gift card to AMC for myself! That way, if ever I want to go see a movie, I’ll have the ability to do so.” Now I’m kinda like, “Enh...is that really so important?” I know the answer is no, because it’s not really important. I don’t need to have a huge AMC gift card in order to survive and be sane. But it’s kinda like accomplishment thing...that’ll probably be something that I’ll be doing with my second pay check. So what does that leave us? So far the list is;

1. Join the Writer’s Digest book club.
2. Get $50 AMC gift card.

...And the rest can be tithed and saved for whatever may be coming down the road I suppose.

Gosh this entry turned out to be long. Probably because most of it was written up at work when there was nothing to do. I’ve tried to keep from bouncing around and yet still touch on all the subjects I wanted to talk about.

Oh, another thing that I wanted to mention. I’d really love it if I could find a place that teaches html. I see all sorts of things going on on web pages and I’d love to know what type of html the people are using and exactly why. I find it interesting...but it’s one of those things like the hobbie thing. I’ve always said that I’d love to take classes in wood work and carpentry just so that I could have those skills. I love being able to think up things that I could make with wood. Just the other day on Trading Spaces they wanted to frames some pictures and put them on the wall. Well, instead of measuring around the picture and building the frame, the carpenter measured the picture, got a piece of wood that was a little less than an inch bigger than the picture, and routed around the edge. Then, they just shellacked the picture onto the wood (which had been stained and varnished by then, of course) and you have your very own picture plaque instead that looks like a picture frame! Ingenious! I told my mom that I want to do that with my posters and such. I could even do it with my diplomas.../light bulb.

Reiko came over around 6 ish too. We had such a blast. We never would’ve had that much fun if Mom would’ve been home though. We tend to be loud and rowdy and more free when we know we’re alone. We teased each other like crazy, watched a bit of Gundam Wing and she read some fan fics while I jeered at the anime. It was fun. Oh, and she introduced me to Jamaican hard core music...yeah. The really crazy part is how much I liked it. It’s funny and it does have a good beat. We’ll see.

And I’ve basically been reading fan fics since. And that’s it. I’m gonna go ahead and go to bed. I can’t wait to just laze around tomorrow. Goodnight.

Manga obsessed

OK, it’s about time I post about the anime Reiko gave me. OMG, I love manga. I could read it every day, and not get bored. This time around, Reiko loaned me the first volume of The Devil Does Exist and the first two volumes of MeruPuri. I love the drama and playful nature in Devil Does Exist, and I love the whimsy and sheer sweetness of MeruPuri. As I’ve now added them to the Anime & Manga section of my wish list, I will now add tags for them as well (it’s only fair since I have tags for anime and Alice 19th). I’d go back and see which entry it is that I talked about Wallflower and W Juliet, but...I’m tired right now from the reading and I don’t really feel like it. Maybe some other time though.

Other than that, not much has happened today...or at least not much worth mentioning. I did manage to get the Pick a Character section updated on the web site, though I doubt anyone actually noticed. I switched out the imaged of just the characters’ faces and put in roll-over images with their description pictures in front; so you actually know the name of the person you’re clicking on and then it rolls over to show you their face. Making those description thingies took a while, and it’s the first chance I’ve had to just put colors on an image and then play around with them with effects and such to produce something really cool. I figured I might as well show case the suckers as much as I possibly could.

I’m mind-numbingly tired, and yet I feel a strange urge to write stuff...and my mind is rebelling against the urge. Conflict. Damn. Oh well. I’ll figure something out. Later.

Yo. It feels like I haven’t posted in forever when really it was only a day without posting. For someone who can do up to 4 posts a day when she gets excited, that feels like a stretch.

Ok, so yesterday I was just feeling blah, you know? It was just a bad case of restless indifferent slothfulness. It sucked. I wasn’t feeling great about where I was or what I was doing, so I did what I always do when that happens; I submersed myself in fan fiction and did nothing else.

By night, I realized I really hadn’t done anything. So, I got on AMOS and hacked away at the old web site. Found a few things that were wrong with the EQ Characters site that I fixed. Then, I started looking over the unfinished site, and realized I have a hell of a lot of work to do.

I did a lot of stuff graphics-wise and sorting-wise, but it feels like I’ve done nothing. I went to bed around 10:30 feeling kinda bad.

I woke up around 2:43 a.m. I was nauseous and hungry-ish. I had gone to bed kinda hungry, but I really didn’t want to eat since Mom and Dad had already gone to bed too. So at 2:45 I slipped into the kitchen and poured out the reminder of the freshly squeezed orange juice Mom and I had made together a couple of days ago. I took a couple of sips, went to the bathroom, and threw up. It was one of those things where you feel terrible while it’s happening, but once it’s over it’s like a relief...kinda like peeling off a scab or something. My relief didn’t last too long. I tried to go back to bed, but I couldn’t sleep. So around 3:20 I slipped back into the kitchen for some water. Threw that up too. I tossed, I turned, I hoped, I prayed, I debated whether I should wake the rents (they’re always so concerned about those things, even though they can’t do anything about them). Then I said to myself, “I’m not sleeping anyway, I might as well try a popsicle.” Mom buys these Dole popsicles. They’re supposedly made from real fruit juice, and there’s less sugar than other brands. So, it took me a while to eat the thing, because my stomach was still so jumpy. I just layed there and bit off a small chunk, then sucked on it till it had melted. After the popsicle was done, I tried to get back to sleep. It took over an hour for my stomach to stop rolling, but I finally did get to sleep.

I slept so hard though, that I didn’t really enjoy it. Then I woke up feeling weird, and told Mom and Dad what had happened. I had a cup of coffee and some peaches for breakfast because I was still feeling terrible.

Then Mom announces that she and Dad need to head to Wal-Mart. And I know that I should go with them, because a lot of the times, they don’t know exactly what to buy me, so it just helps things go a lot smoother if I’m actually there. So, I agreed to go. I dressed comfortably and we headed out. While there, there were a couple of things I noticed, that I’d really like to point out right now.

Our Wal-Mart is being remodeled inside. At first, things were really subtle...a few of the tiles on the floors were missing, some of the departments had actually been moved without anyone seeing it happen, Wal-Mart employees doing a rather impressive impersonation of headless chickens. That sort of thing. But then, we went today and the clothing department had wood flooring. Or at least mock wood flooring...The eye glasses place is boarded up, meaning we’ve got more of a bottleneck to get across the store after check out. All the aisles are facing a different direction, and almost all of the departments are in a different place. The only places thus far that have yet to be moved are the pharmacy, hair, makeup, soaps, and grocery sections. The clothes are all in the same place (mostly), they’re just mixed up...they’re still in the center of the store and all, it’s just that the women’s clothes are where the men’s were...I don’t know where the men’s clothes are; I don’t shop for men.

Ok, I did not know this, but evidently everyone else did. I hate it when people think you know something, so they decide not to tell you. Honestly, how’s anyone gonna learn with that philosophy in mind? Anyway, I found out that Wal-Mart sells Pocky. Seriously. My Wal-Mart has dark chocolate and strawberry flavored Pokcy. And since Strawberry Pocky is one of my favorite snacks, I’ve been buying like 2-4 boxes every time that I visit Wal-Mart. When I tell all my friends that there’s Pocky at Wal-Mart they’re all like, “Oh yeah. I knew that...” and I’m like, “Waterfalls?” In our place it’s near the coffee section, in with other Japanese-ish stuff like Meso Soup and such.

Also another thing that’s always made me laugh about Wal-mart; birds. Alfred Hitchcock would be scared shitless! There are crows and other types of birds all over our parking lot. And not just Wal-Mart (although there seem to be more of them there), they’re in all the parking lots. Now, I’m sure that that isn’t anything new. I’m betting that anyone who reads this will think, “Yeah, my Wal-Mart has a lot of birds in the parking lots too.” This is what I’ve noticed though. Sea gulls. That’s right, sea gulls. They’re all over the parking lot all the time. It’s weird. I mean, they’re sea gulls, right? Shouldn’t they be at the Sea? It’s like that old joke, “Why do Sea gulls only fly over the sea? Because if they flew over Bays they be Bay Gulls.” Well, I guess we have Parking Lot Gulls. Waterfalls? I mean, I often wondered if the states that are close to large bodies of water have sea gulls in their parking lots...

Ok, rants over...for now. I’ll get my second wind eventually. So, yeah, we went to town and I still felt miserable, but it was one of those ‘just deal’ moments. I came home, and I finally wrote out that letter to Odango ([profile] chaineddove). I only started writing the damn thing 4 days ago...or...something...no wait, I started writing on the 8th...it’s the 13th...that’s like, 6 days. Dude. I suck. Oh well, I finally got it all typed up (even the envelope) and it’s stamped and ready to go. It’ll go out with Monday’s mail.

Speaking of mail; yesterday, I ordered the first volume of the second season of Gargoyles. I ordered it yesterday.../thinks...yesterday mid-morning I suppose. I just had the extra money, and I was like, “Ok, I have $50 extra, I’m bored outta my mind...oh...second season Gargoyles...Cha-ha-ha.” So, I ordered it, and then 2 seconds later I get a confirmation of the thing going through, then I get a note from the seller (I bought used/new) saying it’s in the mail today. I was so stoked. So, it went out with Friday’s mail. I was happy about that. It means I’ll be getting it sooner. I’m so happy.

Other than that I’ve been varying between working on my web site and watching Tenchi Universe. I know it’s not the best anime, but it makes me laugh. That’s all I need. I’m still a bit confused why Tenchi in Tokyo doesn’t have it’s on box set...I don’t buy individual DVDs when it comes to anime. If it’s not in a box set, then I’m not gonna get it...9 times out of 10 that is.

Oh well. I still have a few things I’d like to tweak on my web site, and tomorrow will come early as always. So I shall now sign off. Goodnight.

Beware, for I am: Image hosted by Photobucket.com Tired

Gosh, I am so tired. I have no right to be tired. I guess I kinda stayed up late last night so that I could keep Mom company..but, I haven’t done that much today. Ok, let’s see.

1. Got up at 9 a.m.
2. Watched The Colbert Report with Mom
3. Got on the internet and watched a ton of WoW movies which I then posted links to on LJ
4. Overloaded PhotoBucket with pictures of Me, Chibi, and Reiko (honestly, seriously, I did, it told me 50MB’s the max and I was over the max O.O)
5. Fooled around with DreamWeaver, still trying to connect and it wont let me.
6. Ate and watched Trading Spaces with Mom.
7. Went to town and watched The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe with Chibi (and boy, was than an event).

...and that’s it. I just got out of the shower a few minutes ago, and I realized how tired I was. I mean, it’s not a normal tired, it’s like a druged/exhausted tired. And I’ve got no business having said tired!

The Movie was great...again. I got there really early and got tickets for both of us. Chibi ([profile] amai_tenshi) owes me 50 cents. I’ll just put that on her tab...or whatever. But she came bearing gifts so, I kinda don’t mind. She brought me a book that I had at the top of my wish list. The Magical Worlds of The Lord of the Rings – The Amazing Myths, Legends, and Facts behind the Masterpiece. Ok...that earned serious brownie points, that did. Oh, that reminds me, I have to go over and delete that off my book wish list. Now I’m down to 92 items on that section of my wish list (I kid you not; go look). Thanks, Chibi!

Speaking of books, I also got the X-men Encyclopedia, The Dragon at War and The Dragon the Earl and the Troll today too. Both Dragon Knight books are great. They’re old, there are marks down the spine of the books, and they smell like old paper; they’re wonderful ^.^! Unlike the X-men Encyclopedia. I mean, I’m all into antiques, but this book was missing the first 14 pages, and most of the pages come out of the book. The binding has fallen apart totally. But then, I paid $5 for a $25 book, so I guess I got what I paid for. It’s just kind of discouraging, because I don’t remember the seller saying the book was in such bad shape. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have bought it. Oh well.

You see how tired I am? I’m not even ordering the things I want to talk about! God! Ok, so, the movie. I told Chibi half way through the movie, that we should go to movies bound and gagged, because we joke with each other all through the movie and even if it is really funny it totally messes up the tone of the movie. I mean, Chibi’s all ‘Peter’s so hot. God, does that make me a pedophole?’ and I’m all like ‘Doesn’t anyone else realize that Tumnus isn’t wearing any clothes!’ and just saying inappropriate things at certain parts... Like:

*Aslan walk out of his tent appearing for the first time* MM: *whispers to Chibi excitedly* Fluffy! I wan’t one! Cuddewey Wuddelwy Kitty!

I mean honestly! Or like the part where the Kings and Queens are hunting the White Stag at the end of the movie and we’re all like “Hello, Edmund! Boy he sure turned out nice. And Hullo, Peter! God he’s hot!” and then they get back into our world and they’re children again and it’s like, “Damn!” “Does this mean we’re back to pedophiles?” I mean honestly!

After that...what happened after that. Oh, I remember...no I don’t...we were talking...we talked all through the thing though...somewhere in there…mentioning that I couldn’t wait to see Reepicheep in the next movie. I also said that I had heard of a bunch of Tumnus/Lucy lovers and it made me sick. I knew that would happen too. It happened with LOTR! The movies came out and suddenly sicko writers who didn’t know squat about the world Tolkien had worked so hard to make were writing smut about Legolas and Haldir. I actually saw an icon that had Peter and Susan standing together in Narnia somewhere, and it read “I like Peter with Susan, I don’t care if it’s wrong.” And I was like “Waterfalls!!!” Next think you know, we’ll be hearing about how Aslan and Tumnus are boyfriends! Ughhh...I mean honestly, Tolkien was a devout Catholic and Lewis was an Atheist turned Christen, do you honestly think men like that wanted people to eventually write about illogical smut in their world? I don’t think so. It’s one of the few things that would hinder me from making a movie about my world.

/deep sigh. Anyway. Lord, I’ve been ranting. Ok, what else? Uh...Oh, whenever I was walking to the car, I first approached the passenger side, so I put my stuff down there first, but I kept the book with me to look through. It occurred to me once I got in the car and all, that what I did didn’t make any since at all. It’s not like I’d be able to read the blasted thing and drive at the same time. But I was so itching to read it. Luckily, Mom asked if I would go to Sonic and pick us up some burgers, and anyone who knows anything about our Sonic knows you’ll be waiting ten minutes just for someone to ask “Can I help you?” through the intercom. OK, it was only a 5 minute wait for me. But I gave her my order 3 times, and then four minutes later another girl asks me my order again ‘just to make sure it’s correct’. /rolls eyes I had plenty of time to read the introduction and the first chapter!

I got home and Mom was watching Dancing with the Stars and she was actually liking it. Go figure. I guess on those nights when CSI is a rerun she can watch that. Me, I just watch the reruns, but Mom gets bored watching reruns. So I kinda always felt bad that she didn’t have anything to satisfy her. Well, now she does.

And that’s my night. I was really tired, and thinking “I should update, I’m tired, I dunno if I should in this condition, ah I’m replying to comments, I might as well.” So here’s the post.

That movie was so good. It was fun watching it together. We’ll have to get it on DVD and all three of us watch it together and make inappropriate jokes. That would be a blast.

Ok, I’m exhausted. Goodnight.

I honestly didn’t turn this computer on till like 4:30 this afternoon. I kinda thought that my dad might want to paint the computer corner today, but he kept having things that he had to do (his brother gave him a bucket-load of fresh fish to chop up). And so, I didn’t wanna log on just to have to log off and unplug everything. But around 4ish I kinda figured that we wouldn’t be getting around to it.

I returned the necklace the rents got me for Christmas. Originally, they wanted to return it and give me the money to spend however I wanted. But I told them it would be fine with me if they just kept the money and used it to pay bills and whatever, because I know we’re in debt as far as the credit card goes. I always feel like that’s partially my fault, but then I realize that the only burden I’m placing on them is my car insurance bill they have to pay for me while I’m currently unemployed. And that’s not very much. So, really it’s not totally my fault...but I still feel like I should be trying to help out. I think I’m gonna do some research on these new things where you can take quizes online and make money at it. As long as their’s no annual fee, I don’t see why I would have a problem with paying for membership. And it may be a good way to actually make some money while I’m in between jobs.

Anyway, I told Dad that we could start on computer corner tomorrow morning. He said that’s fine with him. So, I called my Sunday school teacher (aka my computer guy), and asked if I could drop my computer off at his place tomorrow for him to install that hard drive in there. His wife said that it was cool with her, that she’d be there. So, I probably wont be checking in for at least tomorrow. I don’t know what his schedule’s like, which means I don’t know when I could be getting the computer back. So I might not be checking in for a couple of days. So that’ll explain that. I’m gonna miss AMOS. /sniffle. But I’ll just take this time to proofread the crazy behemoth chapter that’s coming up in EQ Saga that I mentioned yester— uh…this morning. I’ve got it all printed out and now I’m just gonna be working on it with an ink pen. I may post the rough draft on [profile] ruby_unicorn...I dunno yet.

Oh! I don’t know if I put up here that I’ll be going to visit with Chibi Friday. Chibi and Reiko and I are all getting together at Chibi’s at 9 am on Friday morning to exchange gifts. It’s not our usual of going to the movies and then exchanging gifts, I know, but it’s this or nothing at all. Chibi has such a busy schedule this week, and so does Reiko. Reiko wasn’t too happy that we couldn’t meet before Thursday because she’s working 40 hours this week, and she’ll have to go to Chibi’s then scamper home, then go to work for 12 hours. But, that’s life I suppose. She hated it, but I told her it’s better to have only a little time with her than no time at all. You know what they say about beggers...they’ll only spend it on booze.`

I have just finished going through my Amazon.com wish list. For some odd reason I decided to go through all the crap that I had. Was I spring cleaning and wanting to decrease the stuff that I had in the wish list? No! Of course not! It’s a wish list! That means anything you might have a hankering for can go in it! That means there’s no real reason to delete something unless you no longer want it. And I want stuff! No, what I did was make a bunch of different wish lists and then sort all my crap into their designated lists. I now have a list for Box Sets, Books, Movies, Anime & Manga, Jewelrey, and Everythng Else. But I didn’t just dump the stuff hap-hazardly into their lists. Oh no! I dumped them into their lists, then I came back and went through each list, sorting things so that they were in the proper places (Star Wars books with Star Wars books, D&D books with D&D books and everything that I want to remind myself that I absolutely want at the very beginning of the list!). I’ve found that apart from an absolute love of gems, I pretty much like any type of oriental jewelry that’s shown at the Energy Muse jewelry store. And boy, do they ever have a lot. But after I went through all the jewelry I got rid of a bunch of stuff because some of it was just wa~ay too pricey. I kept all my books though...in fact I think I added a few more...heh. But I did delete a few of the movies that I had put up there. Overall, an honest effort..

So, my night has been long. My eyes are now rebelling against me and tearing up constantly. So I shall now go and take a shower…I sure hope that hot water heater does better tonight than it did last night. I think the hot water lasted all of 2 minutes. /shakes head it was not pretty. At least I got through shaving my legs in time. But still. I’m all for showering with cool water, but when the bathroom’s already cold and you’ve got cold water poring all over you, it is not something to smile about.

Ok, I’m really getting off line now. Goodnight.
