Holy Cow. So, we won't be doing another lock-in for a very... very.... VERY long time =..= If only to give ourselves time to forget how grueling it can be. Alicia and I were the only ones who didn't sleep at all. The others stayed up a lot, but each one of them did end up falling asleep, even if it was for a brief period of time. Billy swears he wasn't sleeping, he was on stand-by :) But I'm getting ahead of myself. OK! Let's see.

I got to the church around 4. Alicia had stressed about everything, and thus, showed up mega early to make sure everything was set up. So, I got there and unloaded all the snacks and drinks and such, and then Alicia wen to pick up Takara and Lamarr and their cousin. Well, not too long after she left, the Tyree brothers showed up with their friend Buddy. Billy, Jesse and Julian I knew, but I'd never met Buddy before. He's energetic, and rambunctious, and loud... and after a while, he's really annoying -..- But, they were hanging out and talking and then a few minutes later, Takara and Lamarr show up with their cousin. Their parents had dropped them off o..o' So I texted Alicia to let her know that they were here... and she came back. I should say, Takara's cousin was Timmy, which was confusing because Alicia told me it was a girl named Penny =..= So, essentially, the only girl was Takara.

The boys started playing PS3, and I mean really playing. They played Rock Band first (until the pizza arrived). My parents had shown up then, but I told them they didn't have to stay if they didn't want to, because Dad had only gotten home that morning at 9 and he had been driving for about 2 days =..= So, they left as soon as we were all fed. They reminded me that they were only a phone call away, so that was nice.

The boys hopped back onto the PS3, and Takara jumped on Alicia's computer and played games there. Alicia had brought a game called Dance Dance Dance... which is a Vegie Tales version of Dance Dance Revolution, but it didn't work. The game would run just fine, but the pads that you're supposed to dance on would not. So... that was shot. For a long time, the boys just took turns playing fighting games like Soul Caliber, Call of Duty and...other such games O..o' I lost count of all the games they were playing. At one point, the older boys (the Tyrees and Buddy) got really bored, and they noticed it was raining outside, so they tried to force random members of their own group outside in the rain. I would then stand by the door and say "Oh! He's running around to the other door!" and when they'd race over to the other door to intercept, I'd open the back door and let the guy in -..- guys. After that, they discovered a ping-pong set and used the entire fellowship hall to just smack the ping-pong balls back and forth to each other. Was amusing, if only because they kept trying to keep more than one ball in circulation. ... it wasn't so amusing when they just started throwing the balls at each other -..- again, guys. It's all funny now, but at the time it all just seemed kinda annoying.

Everyone was getting kinda bored with the games. I had forgotten my iPod at my house, so I said I was going to run over and get it. T (Takara) was bored and annoyed with the boys, so I asked her if she wanted to come along for the ride, and she jumped at the chance. She looked around the house, and I showed her the library... and she ended up borrowing Breaking Dawn from me o..o I suppose it's only fair, since I brought that Ultimate Guide to Transformers for Lamarr. So, she got that book and I got Calliope (my iPod) and then we headed back. During our absence, Alicia conducted a small devotional about acceptance (whatevs), and then it was decided that we'd stop playing the games and head upstairs to watch the movies.

We actually put the movies on around 9ish... we struggled with trying to get the sound to work. See, the movies were played in the Sanctuary. We have a projector hooked up to a laptop in there, and so we just put the movies on the laptop and projected them onto the screen.... but the laptop isn't hooked up to the sound booth, so we had to hook speakers onto the laptop and then put a mic between those speakers.... but we couldn't put the mic too close to the speakers, because it would feed back terribly -..- It really didn't help that Buddy would not shut up. He talked almost all the way through Prince Caspian. At one point I told Alicia to just put subtitles up because that would be the only way anyone would be able to know what was being said ... of course, then he started reading the subtitles outloud -..-

After that, there was a 30 minute break in which everyone went to the bathroom and got something to drink (energy drinks) and snacked a bit. We didn't allow them to bring food or drinks into the sanctuary, so of course they had to wait to snack (of course, they probably snuck stuff in >..>). After the break, we started Iron Man which was awesome, as always. I'm fairly certain that T fell asleep during that, and she had borrowed my iPod. She turned it off when she felt herself slipping and just passed out.

We were all pretty tired after that... so, once again, there was about a 30 minute break. Alicia asked me to play some loud music that would wake us all up, and she'd turn the speakers on in the fellowship hall where the food was so that everyone would hear it. So, I played a lot of Thousand Foot Krutch (one of my favorite bands), and that was really energizing. Then Alicia came up and asked if it'd be a good idea to play Mortal Kombat as opposed to The Dark Knight or Hellboy 2, because both of those movies are really long (meaning we'd all probably have a better chance of falling asleep in there) as opposed to MK and MK:A which is maybe an hour and a half at best each. So, we decided on Mortal Kombat, and as a way to signal that we'd soon me starting that movie, I put the Mortal Kombat: Annihilation soundtrack on :D

Jesse and Buddy came running up the stairs and started dancing around, and they were very closely followed by Billy and Julian. It was hilarious to watch them dancing around, because they weren't really trying to dance .... it was more of a ' jump forward while punching straight up in the air' dance.... so it covered a lot of ground and looked very funny.

Anyway, we started the first movie and continued with our '30 minute break in between' routine before starting Mortal Kombat Annihilation. During the break there, I was just sitting in the sanctuary reading... and I hear the floor start to squeak (which means someone has entered the sanctuary) and I look behind me and Jesse and Julian are sneaking around, ducking behind furniture and making their own dramatic spy theme music. There was a part where Julian ran by on all fours and then ducked and rolled behind a pue... I thought I'd die laughing. But the point was that at some point, Jesse had brought up a can of Mountain Dew, and they were trying to sneak it back out... I was so amused by their antics I couldn't be angry at them for breaking the no food/drink rule =..= I'm a bad disciplinarian. But, after that we put the MK:A movie on....I think Alicia had tried to sleep a little, because she had intended to start cooking breakfast around 8, but wanted to sleep some first. She didn't really manage it, so she just decided to go downstairs and cook breakfast right then so that it'd be done whenever the movie was over.

She and I were the only ones that didn't sleep at all.... the older boys were all awake by the end, but they had napped a bit during the movie. And Takara and Lamarr were OUT. Dead to the world and all. So, while I was hooking up my iPod to the sound system to play some stirring music, Buddy ran downstairs, got some of my fingernail polish (I'd brought it for Takara, in case she wanted a manicure or something) ran back upstairs and painted some of Lamarr's toes =..= Was funny when Lamarr woke up, but at the time I just kept wondering why Buddy was running around laughing like a maniac >..>

Alicia cooked breakfast and we all headed down to eat. She had made boy-scout breakfast, which is a pound of potatoes, a dozen eggs, a pound of bacon and a pound of cheese all stirred together in one skillet. She also made biscuits, which I thought were awesome :) The kids settled in the youth's Sunday School room to talk and eat together... but afterwards, when we asked them whether they wanted to watch Hellboy 2 or The Dark Knight, they couldn't make up their minds. So, Alicia and I decided to start the clean up process and we made them stay there and play the quiet game.

I put Harvey on in the Sanctuary upstairs after I made sure that everything was picked up off the floor and then went downstairs to see what needed to be done. I have to say...The kids did stay there and they were fairly quiet (the game was that if anyone made a noise, the entire room could smack them on the rear... that was Alicia's idea =..=), and I washed all the dishes (by hand, because a lot of them really needed it and Alicia still hadn't unloaded the dishwasher) and Alicia swept. She got the kids to help her arrange the tables in the middle of the fellowship hall, and then they all went up to the sanctuary to get their stuff... somewhere along the way, Alicia told them that Harvey was up there cleaning and not to get in his way... so they all got their stuff, but then they just sat there and watched Harvey bump into things o..o it was really funny to see them so enthralled by my vacuum :D I realized that everyone yells at the roomba too, because they kept yelling, "Harvey! Come back here! You missed a spot!"

Anyway, I finished up the dishes and cleared off all the counters, putting trash in the trash can and putting food where it was supposed to go. Then I wiped off the counter tops. After that, I got the old vacuum out off the cabinet and vacuumed the youth room. I went up stairs to watch Harvey, and Alicia made the kids find all the ping-pong balls and put the set back in the youth room where it belonged. After we checked everything, we turned off the lights and air and then locked up and it was all over.

I know I headed home and showered... I do not remember much of it. But I wasn't feeling good at all... so I took my pills along with half of a muscle relaxer and slept for quite a while. Mom called me for supper, but after I'd eaten and talked with them a bit, I ambled back over to my place. I didn't want to sleep because I was afraid it'd mess up my sleep schedule, but I really wasn't awake enough to do much.

Today I am almost just as exhausted as I was yesterday =..= So, like I said, we're gonna be waiting a long long time before we do this again... if only so we can remember why we shouldn't. I do intend to have another movie night some time in August before school starts... but other than that, we really don't have any definitive plans for the youth at this point. We're just happy to have survived this event :)

I guess that's all... My account for the days of the lock-in are finished and I've nothing more to add :) Later, Sunshines.

…le sigh.

Ok, so I've had some time to think stew about The Chronicles of Narnia - Prince Caspian. I've calmed down enough to look at things objectivly...so, here's my two cents worth. The movie wasn’t…that bad...I suppose. I didn’t enjoy it very much until about …well, the end.

I’m going to stop now…not because there’s nothing more to say, but because...I can’t bear to say any more. I really love the books, so I will be buying the special edition movie when it comes out...but, this will not be my favorite adaptation. Please, do better next time, Disney. Kthxbye.

msmoon: (SM - Yummy!)
No one told me how great cookies and cream milk shakes from Chick-Fil-A are…why is this? I mean, zomg, anyone? They’re only made of awesomeness that even a McFlurry or Blizzard could not contend with…or maybe it’s just because my teeth are so sensitive to the cold, and the shake is easier to swallow than the other things. Either way, I just have to say, they are made of awesomeness.

In case anyone didn’t notice, I’m in a good mood. Last night I RPGed with my Twin-san, today...well I didn’t get to do that. But my dad’s home, and we got to sit and watch Survivor: China together...a show that I really don’t care about but Chinese culture is pretty awesome. So yeah. And Mom brought home some boudin and boudin balls, yummy goodness anyone? Yeah. That’s what I thought. And the floor dude has finished almost everything in my house. The only thing he has left is the bathroom and some closets. That’s it...So why wouldn’t I be in a good mood, right?

Tomorrow, Dad and I are gonna …”uninstall” the toilet that I currently have there and then take measurements and go look for a new one (and of course by "Dad and I" I mean, I'll watch while Dad does the uninstalling and measurements and help if I can ^..^). If we can find a good deal, I’ll have a new toilet in there by tomorrow after the floor dude finished with the bathroom. It’s just so awesome. I mean, we’ve been saying that it’ll happen soon…but it seemed like soon was more 'Aslan’s soon' than my soon. Those of you who haven’t read The Voyage of the Dawn Treader probably won’t get that…heck even if you have, you might not (in the book, Aslan tells Lucy that they will meet again soon and she asks him what does he call soon and he replies with “I call all time soon.”). It was like “yeah it’ll happen soon, but soon is an immeasurable amount of time, so you’re still in constant limbo.”

Our head nurse Lori is off to Las Vegas, but that didn’t stop her from calling us around 11 and asking what we were doing for lunch (since that seems to be the same question every damn day). It dragged on in some parts and sped up at others. We played our first joke on Kamila. She has a bag of candy, like I had, only it’s kept in her drawer. Dena moved the bag to Lori’s drawer when Nicole encouraged her to play a prank. Kamila was looking for it everywhere, albeit discretely. She’d gone in the back and looked for it, she’d gone to the downstairs kitchen, she’d looked over our desks for it, and in the hallways, she even looked in her car and called her fiancé asking if he’d taken it. Finally she asked, and we played dumb for a little while before telling her where it was. Then we all shared candy and enjoyed the sugar high.

I came home and watched Supernatural till Mom and Dad got home, and of course that was right around the time my Twin and I were supposed to meet. So I sent her messages saying that I wouldn’t be able to make it (she hadn’t pinged me so I assumed she was busy with something) and went to spend the rest of my evening with my folks.

And now...I’m tired (as always). So I bid you all goodnight, sunshines.

Beware, for I am: Sleepy Sleepy

What a long day...It never seems that way while you’re going through it but at night once it all hits you it’s like, “Wow...”

Ok. So the things I did today...

Work. Might’ve gotten 2 boxes full of files all alphabetized. Though I had to pull a lot more to get room to fit other files into the filling cabinet...so it seems like nothing got done. Man, this week coming up is gonna be really hard...I’d better just stay in the filing room, hot and sweating though I’ll be. Oi vey.

Obsessions/Narnia. I actually entered the ‘Ultimate Narnia Fan’ contest, which I don’t really think will amount to much. Being a secluded, hoarder Nerd that I am, I tend to hoard my stuff and knowledge but never really get too out-going in my fandoms. A heated discussion is the most audacious I get. But I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try and all, so I went for it. Also, I just got wind of a 4-disc, special edition DVD The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe coming out...wtf? Why not just release that one right away too? That way we don’t have to worry about buying the other supposed ‘extended edition’? Now, the obsessive fangirl in me wants to buy this, but the rational business woman in me says to just wait till all the movies are out and they’ll make a huge extended box set edition with all of them in there. But that could take anywhere from 10 to 14 years depending on which movies they decide to make if all of them. If it’s just the five that people usually go with, then it’ll be 10 years because they seem to be keeping a 2-year waiting period between movies or some such (TLTW&TW was Christmas 05; PC is scheduled for around Christmas 07).

Ok...back away and take a pill =____= Moving on...

Chibi. I sent Chibi the gift that I got her at MechaCon 2.0! I bet she’ll love it, but that’s just because...I’ll kill her if she doesn’t ^_^! Yeah...where are those pills?

Family. Oh, and I finally got the chance to sit down and write to my cousin. I got her e-mail address when I was at MechaCon, or I should say Mom got it and God only knows if she got it right...But anyway. The e-mail was sent today. I don’t know if she wants me to say her name and all, so I’ll restrain myself till I have her say-so.

Other than that, life’s ok. I can’t wait to get to sleep. I had to wake up at 5 a.m. again today, and I don’t get sleepy till much later. It all just hit me about 20 minutes ago. But I made myself stay awake just so I could send out said e-mail and write down my day. I guess that’s all…insert random quiz here:

Your Passion is Gray
Your sexual attitude is best described as apathetic. Often joking that you're asexual, you can go months without getting any. For you, great sex does not make or break a relationship. If it happens, it's just the icing on the cake.

Hey! I like the color gray...it's all...peaceful and ...cool..and...and...and besides all that, I’m celibate! Because I don’t take sex or love lightly. Not because I'm 'apathetic' or 'asexual'….why am I defending myself against quiz results?..I confess I am a bit curious to see my friends’ results in this quiz...especially my Twin-san’s...ah well, I'm rambling. =___= Tiredness.

PS: Oh yeah. My box set of Threshold just got sent out to me tonight, although I've no idea where it is. No, scratch that. It's in the US somewhere. Stupid Amazon.com...>.<

Wow. Today was just...wow. Dad woke me up around 10. I ate breakfast and we headed to my bank to deposit the rent money. We then went to Wally-World to get groceries. I swear, all we had was 5 things on there. But of course we found a dozen or so other things we needed. Then we realized that some of the stuff we needed we could buy in bulk at Sam’s. So after spending money at Wally-World, we headed over to Sam’s. But we only got like 3 things there. We then sent buh his money and came home.

After unloading the groceries, I sat Dad and Mom down and watched The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe with them. My God, I love that movie. I cannot wait for Prince Caspian. But that will be coming in December of 2007 if IMDb is accurate. Dad really didn’t get it so I had to explain a lot of it to him. Mom is so focused on the fact that LWW parallels the Bible that she sometimes aggravates me. The story is teh greatest on it’s own! Anyway...

After the movie, I got to work washing; dishes and clothes mainly. I then got online and checked eBay for Corel Draw. I’d be saying to Mom that I needed to get the newer version for AMOS, but it cost like $200, and now that I’m unemployed I don’t really have that type of money. I bought it today for about $45. God, but I love eBay. However, I need to make sure that I stay away from it for another month or so; otherwise, I may end up buying more stuff and without an active source of income...well, that’d get old fast.

I had started watching The Day After Tomorrow last night. You know how it is, up and can’t get to sleep. Watch something you’ve seen a million times and hope it lulls you. So I finished watching it this afternoon. It just proves what I’ve been saying all along. We are all suckers for CGI weather graphics.

Since I have a paid account, I searched for people in my area. I actually found an old friend of mine that I’d virtually lost contact with. She’s mostly on MySpace really, but it pointed me in the right direction. So, now I’ve been messaging her with MySpace and we’ve kinda renewed ties. That’s good. It makes me feel like I actually have another friend.

Well...that’s all for now. I need to go check the clothes and then I might try taking a shower. Catch ya later, babies.

Not much happened today. Wait...that’s not right. Stuff happened. Lot’s of stuff. What happened today? /thinks Ok..I called the boss-lady and asked if there was any time that she wanted me to come pick up my stuff, and she said any time. I apologized and she ‘accepted my apology’. ...Mom and I went walking. We walked 2 miles and decided to go check out Nanny McPhee at the dollar theater. I think Mom wants to perk me up or something. Truthfully, the only thing that really bothers me besides the lack of income is the lack of productivity. I’m afraid I’ll get lazy if I don’t have something to keep me going. Anyway. Mom and I walked. We saw a few things around the stores to look at on our last lap (the cool-out lap). We ended up going into Bath&Body Works, and I finally got to see (or smell as it were) the Cherry Blossom fragrances that [livejournal.com profile] chaineddove had told me about. OMG, Odango, you weren’t kidding. I have to admit that I like the white and pink products more than the yellow colored ones. They had a white, yellow, and pink variety of cherry blossom stuff and the yellow was way too strong. I like subtle fragrances. Your perfume isn’t supposed to announce you, it’s supposed to accompany you...and all that jazz.

After the walk, we deposited my check into checkings and then we headed over to Burger King to visit with Grandmere. She’s always at Burger King between the hours of 9:30ish to about 11. Allways with gets her biscuit (well done), her medium diet coke (which she refills throughout the day) and sits and talks with her sister and whoever else should wander through the door and be in the mood to talk. We stayed and talked for a while, then Mom had to deposit some money in her bank.

Then we headed over to the agency to pick up my stuff. We got everything cleaned out in record timing; packed it all in a box and was ready to go. I did forget to get Mrs. R to sign my time sheet, but I can sign it and fax it to her and she can sign it and send it on. I hope...Mrs. A has always loved my chocolate treasure candies, and she always finds an excuse to sneak in and get one. So I grabbed a handful and put them on her desk and said “For the road” she thanked me and we were on our way. No one else talked to us. No one else so much as looked at us. /shrug I’ll assume they were all too busy and leave it at that.

We got home and my Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion the Witch and The Wardrobe was in. I love special edition stuff. It’s great so far, and all I’ve watched is the bonus footage. I thought I recognized Mr. Tumnus from the movie, and I know where now. He’s the same guy that played as Leto in Children of Dune. He’s got this really sexy Irish accent. It’s absolutely adorable. I also have this wonderful Unicorn Coloring book that I ordered with it (shut up! It was like $2 and the shipping was free if I added $2 so..so...shut up!). But really, it’s the coolest coloring book I’ve ever seen. But I’m not going to color it till I get a new Printer/Scanner/Copier. I want to scan the pages so I’ll be able to color it as much as I like, whenever I like.

That’s another thing. Poor old Madison hasn’t been working right at all. She says that her black and white print cartridge is not installed properly. But every time I check it, I only find that it is installed properly, and then I take it out and put it in again and all she’ll do is blink at me and say it’s not done right. /sighs Oi, these machines. I can print on her though, which is odd...She just won’t scan or copy anything. I was going to get a new one as soon as I’d saved up enough money to get a really good one, but…well. The best laid plans, no da.

Anyway. Mom was feeling sleepy, so she went and napped while I dove into obsessive fan-girl heaven watching the CON (Chronicles of Narnia) bonus footage. These children are charming...Really. I mean, forget the fact that William Moseley (Peter) is extremely cute. They’re all just such a delight. It was a pleasure to watch them be themselves and have fun. This isn’t a occurrence that I’m accustomed to. I have made it evident on several occasions that I loath children to the very core of my being. And to find myself enjoying watching these children was a surprise. Maybe it’s because they’re British...that must be it.

Anyway. Mom finally got up from her nap. She went outside to read on the patio and she spotted two small wood-peckers. She called me out to take pictures, but my camera was kinda dieing and they were too far off anyway. And much too fast to catch on camera.

I came back and Mom wanted to fix her famous strawberry popsicles. She takes sugar, water and freshly grown strawberries and puts them all in a blender, then into little wax cups and puts a pop cycle stick in the center and freezes them all. She makes like 200 and we slowly eat them over the summer. I washed the strawberries and she blended and poured.

Then I went and made this little colorbar.

Kidd Kraddick is my favorite morning radio show. I was upset that I wasn’t waking up early enough to listen to them on a regular basis after the job thing. So I made this for fun.

Then, I watched half of tonight’s Bones. I’d taped it but I couldn’t get through it and check mail and stuff before CSI: NY rolled around. It was really good...both of them, I just don’t know how Bones ends.

Now, I’m showered and the pills are kicking in (thus the shorter sentences), so I’m off to bed. G’night everyone.

You Are The Moon

You represent the unconscious side of life, what happens in dreams.
You are capable of great genius - but also of great madness.
Emotions tend to be primal for you, both your fears and your fantasies.
Your intuition is always right, listening to it is the difficult part.

Your fortune:

You are about to embark on a very important journey - and a very difficult one.
Some of your deepest dreams will be realized, as well as some of your deepest nightmares.
Follow your creativity and visions; stay away from your weaknesses.
You are taking a voyage to the center of yourself, and you may be pleasantly surprised by what you discover.

...Dude,..that’s like profound...and quite accurate...

Gosh, I am so tired. I have no right to be tired. I guess I kinda stayed up late last night so that I could keep Mom company..but, I haven’t done that much today. Ok, let’s see.

1. Got up at 9 a.m.
2. Watched The Colbert Report with Mom
3. Got on the internet and watched a ton of WoW movies which I then posted links to on LJ
4. Overloaded PhotoBucket with pictures of Me, Chibi, and Reiko (honestly, seriously, I did, it told me 50MB’s the max and I was over the max O.O)
5. Fooled around with DreamWeaver, still trying to connect and it wont let me.
6. Ate and watched Trading Spaces with Mom.
7. Went to town and watched The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe with Chibi (and boy, was than an event).

...and that’s it. I just got out of the shower a few minutes ago, and I realized how tired I was. I mean, it’s not a normal tired, it’s like a druged/exhausted tired. And I’ve got no business having said tired!

The Movie was great...again. I got there really early and got tickets for both of us. Chibi ([profile] amai_tenshi) owes me 50 cents. I’ll just put that on her tab...or whatever. But she came bearing gifts so, I kinda don’t mind. She brought me a book that I had at the top of my wish list. The Magical Worlds of The Lord of the Rings – The Amazing Myths, Legends, and Facts behind the Masterpiece. Ok...that earned serious brownie points, that did. Oh, that reminds me, I have to go over and delete that off my book wish list. Now I’m down to 92 items on that section of my wish list (I kid you not; go look). Thanks, Chibi!

Speaking of books, I also got the X-men Encyclopedia, The Dragon at War and The Dragon the Earl and the Troll today too. Both Dragon Knight books are great. They’re old, there are marks down the spine of the books, and they smell like old paper; they’re wonderful ^.^! Unlike the X-men Encyclopedia. I mean, I’m all into antiques, but this book was missing the first 14 pages, and most of the pages come out of the book. The binding has fallen apart totally. But then, I paid $5 for a $25 book, so I guess I got what I paid for. It’s just kind of discouraging, because I don’t remember the seller saying the book was in such bad shape. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have bought it. Oh well.

You see how tired I am? I’m not even ordering the things I want to talk about! God! Ok, so, the movie. I told Chibi half way through the movie, that we should go to movies bound and gagged, because we joke with each other all through the movie and even if it is really funny it totally messes up the tone of the movie. I mean, Chibi’s all ‘Peter’s so hot. God, does that make me a pedophole?’ and I’m all like ‘Doesn’t anyone else realize that Tumnus isn’t wearing any clothes!’ and just saying inappropriate things at certain parts... Like:

*Aslan walk out of his tent appearing for the first time* MM: *whispers to Chibi excitedly* Fluffy! I wan’t one! Cuddewey Wuddelwy Kitty!

I mean honestly! Or like the part where the Kings and Queens are hunting the White Stag at the end of the movie and we’re all like “Hello, Edmund! Boy he sure turned out nice. And Hullo, Peter! God he’s hot!” and then they get back into our world and they’re children again and it’s like, “Damn!” “Does this mean we’re back to pedophiles?” I mean honestly!

After that...what happened after that. Oh, I remember...no I don’t...we were talking...we talked all through the thing though...somewhere in there…mentioning that I couldn’t wait to see Reepicheep in the next movie. I also said that I had heard of a bunch of Tumnus/Lucy lovers and it made me sick. I knew that would happen too. It happened with LOTR! The movies came out and suddenly sicko writers who didn’t know squat about the world Tolkien had worked so hard to make were writing smut about Legolas and Haldir. I actually saw an icon that had Peter and Susan standing together in Narnia somewhere, and it read “I like Peter with Susan, I don’t care if it’s wrong.” And I was like “Waterfalls!!!” Next think you know, we’ll be hearing about how Aslan and Tumnus are boyfriends! Ughhh...I mean honestly, Tolkien was a devout Catholic and Lewis was an Atheist turned Christen, do you honestly think men like that wanted people to eventually write about illogical smut in their world? I don’t think so. It’s one of the few things that would hinder me from making a movie about my world.

/deep sigh. Anyway. Lord, I’ve been ranting. Ok, what else? Uh...Oh, whenever I was walking to the car, I first approached the passenger side, so I put my stuff down there first, but I kept the book with me to look through. It occurred to me once I got in the car and all, that what I did didn’t make any since at all. It’s not like I’d be able to read the blasted thing and drive at the same time. But I was so itching to read it. Luckily, Mom asked if I would go to Sonic and pick us up some burgers, and anyone who knows anything about our Sonic knows you’ll be waiting ten minutes just for someone to ask “Can I help you?” through the intercom. OK, it was only a 5 minute wait for me. But I gave her my order 3 times, and then four minutes later another girl asks me my order again ‘just to make sure it’s correct’. /rolls eyes I had plenty of time to read the introduction and the first chapter!

I got home and Mom was watching Dancing with the Stars and she was actually liking it. Go figure. I guess on those nights when CSI is a rerun she can watch that. Me, I just watch the reruns, but Mom gets bored watching reruns. So I kinda always felt bad that she didn’t have anything to satisfy her. Well, now she does.

And that’s my night. I was really tired, and thinking “I should update, I’m tired, I dunno if I should in this condition, ah I’m replying to comments, I might as well.” So here’s the post.

That movie was so good. It was fun watching it together. We’ll have to get it on DVD and all three of us watch it together and make inappropriate jokes. That would be a blast.

Ok, I’m exhausted. Goodnight.

Beware, for I am: Image hosted by Photobucket.com Frustrated

Today isn’t really worth much mention. Aside from the fun stuff that happened this morning, nothing good came of today...and that really ticks me off for some reason. It’s like I feel I should’ve done something...like I was supposed to do something, but forgot to do it. Not only did I forget, I forgot what it was that I wanted to do...

Mom’s home. She’s safe and sound and she’s been sleeping since 3:30 when she got in. She slept at my Aunt’s house and then made her way back here. Ended up buying something to munch on just to stay awake, and when she did get home, she just went to sleep...

I’ve talked to Reiko on the phone today (she’s sick), and I’ve been corresponding with Chibi ([profile] amai_tenshi) through e-mails (we’re set for tomorrow). I really want to get together with them and do something...like a review or rant or ramble or something but I know that’s not possible and it really aggravates me. Reiko mentioned making an Emo section on our Sloths Gone Mad web site which will pertain to everything we know and love/hate about emo people. I think it sounds like fun...and a lot of work. But still, plenty of fun. Maybe we can get Chibi to make up pictures of us all looking emo. I mean she’s already done it for me and...well, it doesn’t take much to make Reiko look emo.

And that brought up another problem...Dream Weaver has become a royal pain. I installed the same version of Dream Weaver that I had on the old computer onto this one...but for some reason, this one is different. The major difference? It wont allow me to create tables. I can work within tables, but I can’t create them. I’ve tried everything that I know, but I still don’t know what I’m doing wrong or what I should be doing that I’m not. I’m beginning to get desperate...I wonder if they have a place that’d teach me how to make tables using only HTML. That might make it easier, ‘cause you can alter thing HTML style in Dream Weaver. But still! I mean, it’d be so much easier if I could just go to Insert and then Table like I have always done in the past. /shakes head. Insanity…I’ll tamper around with it a little bit more as the evening wears on.

Also, I’ve finally transferred all the info from the Dream Weaver on the old computer to the Dream Weaver here, only there’s a slight problem. The password that I have for my site, and the Sloths Gone Mad web site is the same password, so it’s really hard for me to forget. But evidently the password for Reiko’s Place (Reiko’s web site, which I designed) has a different password...and I do not know what that password is. Neither do I know what name the site was registered under. Therefore it’s impossible for me to find out what said password is.

Ok, so tomorrow at 4:45 Chibi and I will be seeing Narnia. I cannot wait. I think it’ll do me good to get out of the house and relax a bit.

Holy Quadrupeds! I just fixed the Dream Weaver thing! It was in View, Table View, and then you have to click the Standard View option. Otherwise it’s on the Layout View option...which means you can’t do jack...Which really makes no sense..

Ok, I’ve reached the point where I have nothing to talk about. That generally means that I should close the entry. So without futher ado...goodnight.

What a day. Ok…desperately in need of an update. Friday was oh, so much fun.

Here Be Pictures and incessant babbling from days gone past )

I got to Chibi’s([profile] amai_tenshi), and realized that Reiko wasn’t there. So I called Reiko and asked where she was and she was like, “When ya’ll want me to be there?” and I was like, “Uh…now.” And she’s like, “Why didn’t you call me?!” and I’m all like, “You’re gonna be 18 in March. I kinda figured you could set an alarm or something.” So Chibi and I had hot-mocachino-hotchocolate-coffee-goodness and made small-talk till she got there. We then talked a bit and made Reiko a drink like ours, and then we exchanged gifts. But not before Reiko made fun of Chibi’s cheeks. Chibi had just gotten her wisdom teeth pulled Wednesday, so her cheeks were still huge.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Here’s Reiko’s gifts. Some MeruPuri Manga (I think) from Chibi, and from me she got Ju-on and Ring-U the original Japanese versions of the Ring and The Grudge.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Chibi’s gifts! She got the first season of Firefly from me, and from Reiko she got The Last Samurai, the cute round-top red&black purses and the bath-scent stuff.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

And MM’s gifts. Princess Mononoke from Chibi, and The Brothers Grimm from Reiko along with the square red&black purses and bath stuff...is Reiko trying to tell us we smell? No, her mom got it for us...that’s just as bad I suppose. Oh well.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Ok so now we move on to checking stuff out on Chibi’s computer, and since Reiko hasn’t had the internet in ages she’s usually stuck to the monitor.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

But watching someone fool around on the computer can be boring. I think that’s what Chibi’s cat was trying to say with this body language.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

So, we decided to watch The Brothers Grimm in the family room...here’s Chibi trying to work the DVD players.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Reiko reapplies makeup while we wait. I choose to continue taking pictures...obviously.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Well, I got my ‘Moto-chan picture for this year I suppose. All is well with the world.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

After going online and watching the Emo Video to our hearts content, Reiko did a few Emo shots for us.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I’m an Emo kid! Non-conforming as can be. You’d be non-conforming to if you looked just like me!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Stop my breathing and slit my throat! I must be emo!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

But Reiko had to leave for work...that didn’t stop her from turning up the stereo and making an exit.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Chibi and I went back inside and Chibi had a little too much fun with my picture and the photoshop program.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

The End. Of the pictures at least.

So, that was all that’s good about Friday. Sloths’ Cons are so much fun. Ok, moving on!

By Saturday, I was sick. Very very sick. Sicker than a dog...why do we have that expression? Dog’s are famed for being sick...Anyway. I think I had a sinus infection, because I hacked, coughed, wheezed, and my voice became qualified for that of a phone sex operator. I did very little of anything Saturday, but laze around and tried to find something interesting to do. And worse, that night Mom started showing the symptoms that I’d been showing Friday night.

That’s right, Sunday we woke up with both of us coughing, hacking and wheezing. What’s worse, our air conditioner decided it didn’t want to cool us off any more. We had to open all the windows, which wasn’t terrible since it was pleasant out. Is it really January? Well, if the weather’s any indication for LA the new year will be great. Can’t say so much for Texas, California and all the other states that are getting flipped off by Mother Nature. Sorry guys. So Sunday was much like Saturday, only in stereo.

Monday, Mom and I finally started moving about more, not that we wanted to, we just knew we needed to. I got a call from a place I’d sent a resume to... HRM. It’s a graphics place that makes business cards, stationary, posters, maps (for tracking hurricanes and otherwise), and anything else that can be put on paper. Wanted to interview me and asked if I was free today at 2. I said I was and that was that. I also called my Sunday school teacher who’d been “working” on AMOS here. I shall from hence forth call him…

Lunixman!

…because that’s the name he choose for himself. So, I called Lunixman and he said that there was no doc for the hard drive to sit in so whoever told me that there was had lied. So he said my best bed would be to just get a USB thing that I can plug the hard drive into and I can’t do that right now. It coast at least $80 the last time I checked, and I can’t afford that. So I told him to patch AMOS up and I’d pick him up today sometime.

Today...God, today was so emotionally draining. Got up around 8ish this morning. I slept pretty well, but that’s partially due to the fact that I haven’t slept well the nights before. I was either ill and coughing and all, or I had to sleep with the window open for air and I couldn’t sleep because some douche-bag was popping fire works, or a dog was barking, or the wind chimes constantly gonging, or birds...you know what? I’m not gonna relive that. Anyway, I slept really good, only I felt like I could go on sleeping. But if I wake up fully and then go back to sleep, each time I wake up I feel like I’m more tired. So, I got up and drank two cups of coffee. I went and picked up AMOS from Lunixman’s place. Set AMOS up and posted here with that brief thingy there. Mom had called the air conditioner people and he was check out AC. Turns out we have a Freon leak. So he filled the thing up with Freon and told us to watch it, because he couldn’t find the leak. Just great. The thing is almost 3 years old and in ACs that’s still new. It shouldn’t be turning on us like this. Mom had to pay the guy $110 too, and that’s money we didn’t really have. I went on my interview, and dropped a resume off at a local place that wanted people to come and drop the resumes off in person instead of mailing them in. The interview didn’t go too well. I got that impression at least. But what can you do?

After that I went to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things that we needed. I didn’t spend but 15 minutes there. My shopping style is really get in-get out and that’s it. And since I was dressed up and in heels I really didn’t want to be there any longer than necessary. I mean, the whole purpose of putting on a pair is heels is to make your legs and butt look good. So here I am walking around Wal-Mart and I can’t really help but walk that way right? I mean, I’m a boutylicious girl as it is, so there’s motion in the ocean with or without heels. And I hate to get the idea that people are staring at me. I don’t like actracting attention...unless I do. But then it’s different.

Anyway, I got home, and Bub was still MIA, and Mom was upset about it so when I told her that the lady who interviewed me told me she had 20 other people to consider she took it out on me. I didn’t really mind too much it was just slightly depressing. But I got online and tried to forget about it. She kinda apologized a little later, and I could understand it. I mean she’s sick and feeling miserable, and then her son is gone and his buss leaves tonight at 12 midnight, and he’s no where to be found and...ok these issues are getting to angsty for this journal. I’ll have to put them in [profile] ruby_unicorn later...if I have the energy.

I edited chapter 26 of the The EQ Saga. I still haven’t put it up on FF.net yet...but I think I’ll do that on the 5th...just because I like the number 5. I was thinking of using 5’s as a element in the story now. Not in the plot or anything ya know, just maybe update the story on the 5th or 15th or 25th of each month. That gives me a goal to work towards that would be more regular. /shrug. Just something to think about.

Also, I got on AIM, and suddenly a buddy alert popped up and said that an old friend of mine was on. And I hadn’t talked to her in a while...I don’t remember exactly how long, but it had been a while. So, I IMed her and we got to talking. We had a nice long talk, and eventually she was like “Do you have any recent pics of yourself?” and I was like, “Uh, sure.” And she gave me a link to her Photobucket and so I gave her a link to mine. Then I relized she was on FF.net, and LJ. So I have now added [profile] chaineddove to my friend’s list on both journals. Thanks again to Allah Sulu's Massive Tool for the cute little Shampoo icon near her name! This girl and I have been friends for like 6 years or so. She and I would send anime to each other all the time back and forth. She had a ‘moto-chan just like I did, only their Sister-Sister group was Odango and HamHam. It’s great to know that we both have a lot of stuff still in common, and we both enjoy talking to each other still.

So now, Bub finally got home, and Mom hurried him to pack and bathe and all that so that they could leave. They’re gone and I’m holding up the fort. If I don’t hear anything back from Chibi soon, I’m gonna go and take my shower and then check back. I can’t wait till we can go see Narnia again...I know I’ve seen it already but it’s seeing it with her! Oh well. I’m gonna rest my eyes for a while and then go shower and then that’ll be it for me for tonight. Goodnight!

Yo. /sigh. Right. So, yesterday wasn’t one of my better days. Today hasn’t been an absolutely great one either. Anyone who’s actually friend listed at [profile] ruby_unicorn can read about the other day, and if you aren’t friend listed at [profile] ruby_unicorn...then, my God, but you haven’t been trying very hard, have you? /sigh. Yesterday..how would [personal profile] tinhuviel put it? Ah yes, ‘my moon’ came upon me. It was utterly wretched because the day was supposed to be great, and here I was in labor. Then we went to church and that was a whole ordeal. That’s a small summary of yesterday.

Today wasn’t too much better. Thank God for the good things, because otherwise, I would be one very depressed psycho bunny...and we couldn’t very well have that now could we? I decided today to copy all of my journal entries from now on and send them to my Twin-san ([profile] animequeen). Including this one (/waves. Hi, Twin-san!). She never posts to her journal, so of course she doesn’t see mine, and I don’t send out e-mail updates because I assume everyone can just go to my journal. So, it’s a terrible mental trap that we’ve fallen into, and thus we have not really spoken at all in so very very long. I thought about it the other day, and I still find it amusing. She’s always online by all appearance, because her screen name is always active...however she’s never really online because she’s always away. I’m hardly ever online, but when I am on, I’m totally there. Funny, no?

What else did I do today? Oh! I did start using the moods that I made for myself in both my journals (both [personal profile] msmoon & [profile] ruby_unicorn). [profile] ruby_unicorn didn’t take too long, because the entries weren’t too many. But [personal profile] msmoon has far too many posts for me to do the entire journal; so, I just started with the post where I showed off my moods and continued on from there. Even with that, it was still a lot...geeze that was back in September after all. I got to the point where I liked them so much, I figured I’d better start using them at some point or I never would.

I went over to my old (old, old, old, really really old) web site, and I read over the web page Chibi([profile] amai_tenshi) had made me for my jellies, and I nearly died laughing. I’d almost forgotten about that web page...and it’s not like I can update it because Chibi’s the one who made it...so there’s just one little lone comic up there. It all started a long time ago. I always joked that I could never draw anything but sickly stick-people, and someone said something about how they were sure I could draw something. So I started drawing little jellyfish characters, each one with a different set of eyes. The eyes came mostly from computer symbols. This one ^.^ is the happy face, =.= is tired etc. Well, I was somewhere, and I wrote Chibi a letter and I made a comic with the my Jellies on it, and she scanned it in and fixed it up and made a web page about it. So now I have my own trade mark “MM’s Jellies”. If I had Corel Draw on this computer, I might try to make a jelly theme to this journal. I now have my own stationary set with the jellies and I doodle them all over everything. So that was a nice trip down memory lane. I only wish Chibi would send me the files and stuff so I could continue to add to it. Oh well...

I finally got a call back from Reiko, and we are going to the movies tomorrow. Which is good, because I really need to get out of this house and Reiko always manages to cheer me up a bit. She said the day I called, she’d given blood and she doesn’t remember anything that happened that day. But she does want to go with me. Mom also wants to go with me, but she can’t because tonight’s a women’s thing at the church...she said she’d take me Tuesday if she could. Which would be nice, ‘cause Mom’s never gotten into C.S. Lewis’s stuff, and only saw my enthusiasm from it.

Oh, another funny thing that happened today: I installed City of Heroes on my computer. I ended my subscription at the beginning of this year, but for some strange reason I have a yen to plan the damn thing again. In fact, I want to play CoH more than I do EverQuest. I think that’s weird and funny, but I do not often deny my urges. Now, I don’t have my subscription renewed or anything so I can’t actually play. Why did I install the thing? Because I’m a moron, of course. I do want to play, and one day I will play. I don’t know when or how I’ll come to that point, but I’ll get there. And when I do, I won’t have to install the damn thing. It’ll be installed already. I was thinking of saving up a lot of money, and just buying a year’s worth subscription. It’s like $143 something for that, but it boils down to you paying a little over $11 per month. If you buy for 3 months it’s a little over $13 per month, and if you buy for six it’s a little over $12 per month. So this way, I figure I’m actually giving myself more options and saving more money. /shrug. In some universe, that does make sense. Maybe not this one, but somewhere it does.

Ok, so I’m now officially zonked from the meds and all, and I don’t see how anyone else really cares about the crap I talk about. So I’ll just go to sleep now, shall I? Good. Very good. Goodnight everyone.

Yo...Much has happened...I just haven’t felt up to posting. I’ve wanted to post on many different subjects, so I’ll just go ahead and write about those things I wanted to write about.

Monday was long. Drove up to the funeral, and then started back around 12ish after we had lunch. I drove us almost all the way home. From I55 to our home, that is. We were dead tired once we’d gotten home...

Today, I called ASC back. It’s a staffing agency that’s supposed to help me find a job. Their efforts have become somewhat disappointing of late. Last week they called to ask if I wanted a job catering. They know as well as anyone that I’m looking for a job in clerical. Yet they call to bother me with catering? Then they left a message while Mom and I were gone. So I called back. They wanted to know if I was interested in working nights at a place where I’d be folding clothes and ‘tidying up’. My response was this,

“…….No.”

Today also marks a glorious day. I made my first gumbo today without assistance. Mom had gone to the church to help with the phones. There’s always a meeting on Tuesday mornings, and the church’s secretary has to attend the meetings. This causes a problem when the phones ring or she is otherwise needed. So, my Mom offered to go over there and help with the phones while they were at the meeting. She called, and asked if I would mind bringing her a cup of cappuccino. I didn’t mind, so I hurried up and brought her a mug (they were finishing up the street paving so it didn’t really go as quick as I wanted), and asked if she needed anything else. She said she wanted me to get the bag of okra out of the freezer to thaw so she could make a gumbo when she got back. So, I asked what I’d need to do to make a gumbo and she told me. I’d done it before once when she was with me. So I wrote it all down, and made my first Okra & Sausage gumbo. It wasn’t as good as I would have hoped, but Mom says it’ll be better with time. Gumbos are like that. The longer the gumbo sits, the more the ingredients mix, and thus the better everything tastes.

Mom didn’t get home till 4 something, so it was good that I’d made it. She was very tired when she finally got in. But then, being out from 8:30 till 4 at that mad house would tire anyone. After we’d eaten a bit, I headed to town. I wanted to make sure I’d bought tickets to The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe. Friday at 7. I bought two and asked Reiko to go with me, but she’s not sure if she’ll be able to go. I know that Chibi, Reiko, and I are supposed to go see it for our Christmas, but it’s one of those things that you want to be able to tell people. “I saw the first showing of The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe.” Or...at least the first showing I was able to see. Besides, I don’t mind watching it more than once. Not at all.

I’m watching the Dune thing my Mom bought for me the other day. I must’ve watched it seven or eight times since then, and yet I never posted about it. It’s much better than the movie. Well, it’s much better in the sense that there’s more material, and you understand more about the universe you’ve been thrust into. I still can’t picture anyone other than Patrick Stewart as Gurney Halleck... Princess Irulan is better portrayed in this one though. On the other hand, Muad Dib seems much less of a hero than in the movie version.

I went over to the EQPixel Army. I usually go there to make dollz of my existing EQ characters; the ones that I write about in my stories or have played in game. Tonight was different though...I made a doll of a high elf chick that I’ve never even seen before. She just jumped into my head, and who am I to deny her? After I made the first doll, I decided to make aBarbarian girl. Also, one I’ve never seen before.

Well, I guess that’ll be all for today. Goodnight everyone.

Judd got voted off of Survivor tonight...that made my day a little better...

I've been considering perhaps making my own layout...it would probably be one of the Demona wall papers that I had up here so long ago. God...that seems like so long ago. It was the July 22 post of this year. I'm still not sure which one I should use, but I think it'll be the "My Vengeance is all you've left me!" one. It just looks better. Though I could put some other phrase in there..I dunno yet. We'll see.

One more week till The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe comes out. I'm so psyched. I can't wait. I really must see if they'll let me come to the Thursday night screening...we'll see.

I guess that's all for tonight. Later.

Important Obsessions

Yo. While my earlier post was entirely humorous, I intend to continue on while my usual banter as opposed to spamming you with funny things I get sent in e-mail. That was just too funny to pass up though. Anyway!

Dad came in last night. I don’t think I posted that. But he got in late last night. He brought me a cheese burger. It was a Whopper with cheese, and I usually like those, but he’d had it since morning, and it was partially bad. Oh well, it’s the thought that counts, right?

Jobs fair this morning didn’t quite turn out the way I thought it would. Mom had implied that there would be tons of doctors there wanting people. However, it was just a normal jobs fair with people from all over including McDonalds and Home Depot. So, I passed around from table to table asking who was hiring and what for, and then I headed home. It only took 20 minutes or so. Hibernia bank was the first to actually reply by sending me an e-mail that linked to their online applications. However, I can’t remember the exact dates of my high school, nor can I remember my grade averages. +_____+; Oh well, I’ll get that as soon as I can.

I then came home, received The Daria Database book that I’d ordered, and began reading that. But we all got really really sleepy, so we decided to go to town just to have something to do. We ended up buying my gift to Bub, and a chair for my computer desk. I had to make do with an extremely old, uncomfortable chair, but now I have a nice fancy one. And it only cost like $80 something. So that was good.

Mom also talked us into going and checking out what the Toyota hybrids looked like. We were all in a jokey mood when we got there, so we kept saying funky things that threw the dealer off. Like, I was sitting in the back seat and I looked over my shoulder and noticed that the trunk was a hatch-back trunk that opened up to the back seat. So I said, “Hey! This means no one can put me in the trunk!” and then we took a tour of the trunk from outside the car, and he was showing us the spacious storage underneath the carpeted area, and we’re like “Good for smuggling.” And he shows us this thing that stretches from the back seat to the end of the trunk (effectively blocking anyone’s of what’s in the trunk), he said “Which is great if you’re carrying Christmas presents, and you don’t want anyone to see them.” And I was like, “Or if you’ve got a body back there.” And he pointed out the lighting that makes the trunk super visible, and I’m like, “To make sure you’ve cleaned up all the blood afterwards.” It was just fun.

Then we came home and assembled my computer chair. I got online and checked e-mail and such. I then asked if Dad wanted to watch the Survivor that he missed, and he did. So I put that on and took my shower while he watched that. Dad and I watched the end of the Survivor while drinking coffee. I’ve suddenly realized that I enjoy coffee a lot, if I’ve had the chance to doctor it up. So, I’m now a coffee girl. I make a cup every morning.

Now, I’m looking up more stuff about The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe on the internet. I cannot wait till this movie comes out. I can’t wait till all of them are out and I have them on DVD. Chibi ([profile] amai_tenshi) and I have already agreed to go and see it with Reiko whenever it comes out to celebrate our Christmas. We used to celebrate by watching Lord of the Rings and exchanging gifts after the movie (or before, or after, usually after since Chibi’s always late and we have to hustle into the theater). However, I find I have many concerns when it comes to this edition of Narnia. Narnia was my first literary obsession, and I loved it throughout my childhood and right into my teen and adult years, so I hold it very near to my heart. I, in fact, have 3 copies of the Narnia books by C.S. Lewis; one soft cover set, one hard cover set, and the all-in-one huge book that’s fully illustrated and all. Considering my obsession well and pointed out, I will now voice my major concerns at this moment.

Concern #1: The Voice of Aslan. Aslan is the lion. He has to have a certain tone to his voice, it has to be rolling, deep, moving, and frightening all at once. Liam Neeson is playing the voice of Aslan. Now, I love Mr. Neeson, at least I’ve loved everything I’ve seen him in thus far. I’ve never seen anything that he did as far as voice acting. I am excited to see his performance, and I am equally terrified that it won’t be just everything that it’s meant to be. I just hope he rocks the hell out of this role!

Concern #2: Import/Export. Yeah, sure I sound like I’m covering for the mafia or something, but think about this for a second. In LOTR: The Two Towers there was never a company of elves sent from Rivendel (or any other place) to help them fight at Helm’s Deep. To me, this was a huge Import that was done on the part of Mr. Jackson and his staff, but it was one that I could see happening in a way. Perhaps it was something that he wanted to do to show the King that alliances were still being honored and they weren’t alone. Also, the entire story pertaining to Tom Bombadil was Exported, and I’m pretty sure we all know why. It wasn’t essential to the story of the Ring, and its bearers. The movie did have a time limit and there was only so much they could do. I’d say that Export was reasonable; I’m much more interested in finding out more about the story pertaining to the ring and ring-bearer than what and who they encountered along the way to Rivendel. However, I find I’m more worried over things working their way into the story of LWW that have no business being there but are there solely to keep you interested between point A to point B. I can see how it could happen, but I find the book to be captivating on it’s own without extra drama. Thus, I don’t think it needs additions or subtractions.

Concern #3: Over concern. You ever worry over something so much, that you think you’re worrying over it too much and you won’t be able to enjoy it? That’s me right now. For some odd reason, if Weta were working on this film I think I’d feel a lot better, just because I know they can do this. If Peter Jackson were working on the Chronicles, I would feel better because I know he can keep to a story without making too many changes or that the changes he makes will be in line with the story-tellers goals. But suddenly, I’m thinking things like, “Wait, that can’t be Susan. She’s supposed to be blond!” and “Shouldn’t Mrs. Beaver have some string in her mouth? Oh wait, she’s at the table, not her sewing machine.” I’ve gotten to the point where I’m, just trying to forget about the movie till it comes out so that I can enjoy it instead of criticize it.

And that is all. I have ranted and raved and carried on. I shall now go to bed (and hopefully then to sleep). 6:00 a.m. always comes so early. Goodnight.
