Geeks Night Out (Burger King, Books A Million & 300)
2007-Mar-14, Wednesday 11:40 amDammit. My cousin gets to stay home and sleep through this glorious weather. Life is so not fair.
Last night, Scamp and I got to see 300! It was so good! I’m a little hesitant to rant and rave about it, if only because I don’t want to give things away. I lost a lot of shock-and-awe factor after one of my friends ranted about Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest and I saw “OMG, Barbosa!” in her rant, and kinda wasn’t too surprised to see Barbosa and noticed his boots in the Voodoo woman’s thing (because, in fact I was looking for him). But this was just an awesome movie. My coworkers asked about it this morning, and they asked if it was gory, and to be honest...gore doesn’t bother me (Al Gore, sure, but not movie gore). What bothers me is nudity and sex scenes, both of which were in this movie. But that’s why God invented Fast Forward. And thankfully the scenes weren’t too lengthy. I always feel like intimacy is something that’s personal and private, so having it public kind of takes away from the whole ‘intimacy’ thing =.= But, every other part of the movie was greatness in itself.
Scamp and I had a regular Geeks Night out. First we headed to Burger King to eat, and that was interesting. It was nearly empty when we walked in, and these guys walked in after us. I wasn’t paying attention to them really (if it’d been Vin Diesel or Orlando Bloom, then I would’ve paid attention, but it was not). When we sat down and started eating Scamp asked if I’d heard what they were talking about and I was like, no I wasn’t really paying attention. She said that they said something along the lines of, “That’s the biggest asses I’ve seen on a white girl. Wouldn’t mind tapping that.” ...I told my coworkers about it and they were like “Gee, how romantic.” I told them that the guys probably didn’t count on Scamp’s elvish hearing ^.^ Then we went over to Books A Million. /looks around as angels start to sing. Hmmm. Yeah, so we looked around in the Manga and D&D books. Then we headed over to the journals (which was probably a mistake). I ended up buying the D&D Player’s Handbook for myself and the Warcraft manga/comic/graphic novel/whatever. I got Scamp the Godchild manga and a leather journal...with slot for a pen and these nice dark brown pages. It was prettiful. Although Scamp was a bit shocked that I got it for her. I just enjoy getting gifts for people, especially when I have the means to do so. And besides, I couldn’t walk in there and get something for myself without getting something for her. That’d been unfair.
After that we saw the movie and Scamp exhausted me with her giddy chatter all the way home. We noticed that the “Check Engine” light was on in my car...Of course, Dad’s never really shown me how to check my oil or engine or anything else, so I’m like “Ok, now what?” Every time it’s time to check the oil, I tell him to wait and show me what to do, and what does he do? Either he forgets entirely (like this time) or he just does it without me. Honestly. I’m gonna call Mom on my lunch break and tell her what’s up, then I’ll call my Paran (who works on cars and owns a shop) and ask if there’s any time I can bring the car over since Dad isn’t in town. I don’t see any other options really.

Rocks in my Head
2006-Nov-16, Thursday 09:59 pmI should be off this box, but alas! I am not. I got my Moon Crescent Pendant in the mail with some coupons for $10 off the vendor’s store...Then I read it again and noticed the ‘earn your wiccan degrees online’ part and that kinda fizzled. I did glance at it, and it’s got some seriously cool stuff on it. It’s called Sacred Mists, which is really dramatic but uber cool. I can find all their jewelry on Amazon, so I’d pretty much decided not to use the coupon. Then I saw the Crystals & Gemstones section and nearly came unglued. Those of you that know me well know why I’m such an avid rock/gem collector and why I’m almost obsessive about the hobby. So this site’s now officially become invaluable to me if only for that reason. Mom and Dad wont be thrilled that I'm buying these things from a wiccan site...but wiccans gotta eat too na no da ^.^ It made me want to search for books on gems again though =.= Honestly. I’ve got two huge ones already.
However, I’ve no real intention of using this coupon. So I’ve decided to make this post detailing the whole thing if only for the benefit of whatever wiccan friends I may actually have here on LJ. If anyone wants to take advantage of the coupon I’ve gotten, by all means comment. I’ll hand it on over and at least someone will be able to use it. I hate letting things go to waste.
In other nerdyer news, I also received the 3rd and 4th seasons of Batman The Animated Adventures. Coolness to me. I can’t wait to watch them all, and since I’ve been feeling under the weather all damn week, it will be a nice diversion.

The Medicated Blues
2006-Nov-09, Thursday 09:16 amWow...the last few days, man. They’ve been a bit odd. Not too long after my post Tuesday, I got this terrible migraine and had to go home. I got there and Aunt Lane’s dog, Pocco, was in his kennel so I took him out first so that he wouldn’t have any accidents in the house. Then I took a quick shower, and by that time Mom and Aunt Lane were back home. Mom gave me two pills for my migraine, and I took both o them. Afterwards she says, “You didn’t take both of those did you?” and I was like “yeah…” and she says “You were only supposed to take one and take the other 8 hours later!!” so, she and Aunt Lane kept watching me like they expected me to plop over all ‘timber’ like any second, but my constitution doesn’t get sedated easily na no da. Other than not being able to move suddenly or walk a straight line, I was fine. Talk about knock the headache out too.
The next day (yesterday), I had my OBGYN appointment at 9. Luckily for me, they’re prompt and efficient along with being friendly too. I got a 3 month sample of my birth control pills and a prescription for when those are over with. When I got to work, they asked how it went and what I’d gone for because all I’d told them was I had a doctor’s appointment. I said, “I took off my Wonder Woman underoos, put on my big-girl drawers, and went to my OBGYN.” We all laughed at that.
Yesterday we got about 16 charts in the mail and the day before that we had 13…..my estimate for today? Close to 200. They’ve been doing that the past week or so. Earlier in the week, or mid-week, there aren’t that many charts coming in, but Thursday and Friday suck! It doesn’t bother me too much, because it means that I have plenty to do from the moment I sit down till it’s time to go. Like, yesterday was tough for me at first because I’d finished all my work and there was very little to do. Lacey had done all the copying and our shredder died on us (rest it’s poor little mechanical soul) so I was like “I need something to do.” Luckily there’s always something to do, even if it doesn’t fall under my job criteria. So when Nicole left, she handed me the 800+ invoices that she’d been saving up that were supposed to go in folders in one of her drawers and asked me to put them in order. The folders that she has are categorized by the name of the companies and she prefers to have the most recent towards the back. So I worked on that after she left at 2. I was happy to say that I got all the way up to the company Foundation Coal done.
I don’t know why, by my mouth has been really soar lately...like the inside, all around my lips. It aches and itches and when I eat, it feels like sandpaper rubbing against my mouth. It’s really bad. And this morning, I noticed that my eyes were itching too…I hope it’s nothing. But I’m gonna ask the nurses this morning when I go in what they think of it. Lori worked in ICU for a long time and she’s seen a lot, so she’s got a wealth of knowledge when dealing with things like that. Either way, I’m glad I have my benedryl handy in case the itching should get too bad. Of course, that’ll put me in a proverbial coma, but at least I won’t be itchy.

I really just wanted to have at least one complete fandom in my DVD collection, and that was not only cheap but easy to get. So yay for me and my Nerd Card. On the flip side, I won't be buying anything (for myself) for a very long time.

2006-Oct-04, Wednesday 08:49 amGood morning! I woke up a little early today, because the boss-lady gave us all bonuses the other day for working so hard through the audit. And there’s no other way for me to deposit the thing unless I remember to leave early -.-
I would just like to take this time to point out what a cool month October is. Not only is it the only time of year when you can dress ridiculously and get away with it, but tons of cool people are born in this month. I’ve always said that the ‘ber’ months (September, October, November & December) are the coolest months of the year. I included November and December because you get together with family and eat a lot in those two months. This month not only is it my birthday but the following people celebrate birthdays as well: Dreamie, Sephiroth, Chibi, Jen-Twin-san, Crooked halo, Anowyn, and Purrsia. Tons of uber-cool people.
Now that that’s been said I feel much better. Scamp said she got my birthday present in, which is very good since the stress of not getting it was sending her into spazes. Speaking of spazes, I really need to wrap Chibi’s and Reiko’s gifts. I intend to send Chibi’s some time next week...probably the 9th. Although I don’t know how or when >.< I have to go in to work early that day (8) so I don’t know. I do know that I’ll get an hour break, so maybe I can get something to eat and drop it off. That’d be good.
I’ve been thinking of buying myself a few things off of my wish lists just because it’s my birthday and all. But I’m still not sure. I think I’ll wait till Friday, because that’s when the party is, and I’ve no idea what lacey may or may not have gotten me -.- then again, I don’t know if anyone else may’ve gotten me anything either. It’s not like it’s a huge birthday or anything. In two more years (when I’m 25), Mom and Dad may choose to make a bigger deal out of it since it’s sort of a mile stone...or some other such nonsense.
In other news...this is the fourth morning in a row that I’ve woken up with a sinus headache and had to take something right away for it. Damn humid south-LA climate. Why can’t we have seasons, dammit! Honestly! I’ve noticed that my ears are really sensitive to sound and touch. It’s just odd.../shrug oh well. I’ll live =.=
Uhhhhhh……I think that’s all. And even if it isn’t, I should probably finish getting ready. Ja-ne!

Tired
You know something funny? I can wake up at 5 a.m. and not really feel tired. Not right away that is. I don’t start feeling tired till much later. Round ‘bouts mid-afternoon. To make matters worse, I pulled a little muscle in my back late last night (somehow), and it’s been bugging me all day. Not so much that I can’t move or anything, but it’s just enough to remind you that it’s there and not let you get on with life.
Tomorrow is pay day and I have 3 things now on my list of things to buy. We all know about World of Warcraft (*cough cough*warcrack*cough cough*), and Supernatural, but the other thing which I was gonna get earlier but didn’t get the chance to...Mom’s birthday gift. I’d been eyeing these special humming bird feeders that she wants in a magazine and thought I’d get one of them for her. But they were extremely expensive so I thought I’d wait. Turns out the ones she actually wants aren’t available. Figures. So, I’m just gonna have to get her the other one, which is very pretty, and I’m sure she’ll love.
That’s my financial dilemma. Moving on. Today, (and some of last night), I totally reformatted the ‘Writing’ section of my web site. Not that I’ve posted anything as of yet, but I’ve got most of the ground work laid out. I just need to write up a few rants to add (yes, I’m adding rants to the Original section -.-), and then I’ll post everything and we’ll be in business...so to speak.
I’ve been so tired after work lately, that I haven’t really done much but loaf around afterwards. Which, I figure I can do since I am a full-time worker and all. But Mom asked if I wanted to go and visit Grandmere tonight, and I was too tired. But it bothered me because I hate missing visits with her. So I told Mom to ask Grandmere if she’d mind us all coming over on Saturday. She said she probably won’t mind unless she already has something planed. So, I’m hoping to spend some time with her then.
Oh also, I got Beatrice and Bill in. So now Bert doesn’t look all alone and undignified up there.

So, yaeh. I also put together some of my written stationary. So, let's see...I have my two 'fandom' t-shirts. I have money, and of course the stationary to write all my friends and tell them 'yo, got you a souvenere!' and such...What else should I be bringing? I know there's gotta be more...If anyone coments with 'clean underware' I'll so slash you with Tucker's big thing.
Oh, and my parents are gone...I can't remember if I mentioned that. They left yesterday morning to go to Texas. Dad's got some testing that he has to do for work and Mom just goes and relaxes at the hotel...she tends to do that whenever she can. Anyway, they're not coming back till Thursday night sometime...I was thinking of inviting Chibi to come over for an evening, but it'd have to be after 5 and I don't know if her mom would appreciate that. I still wanna watch Red vs Blue with her. And ask her what she thought of the other movies I left there and all.
I'm so tired. I think I might just try to turn in early tonight. Or at least make the attempt. For some odd reason, even when I take my pills early and all, I still can't seem to get to sleep till 11 or something. Just my luck. Oh well. 'Night.

Oh wow…work today was so tough. I got there around 9ish and after faxing maybe 3 things, I went straight into the hot room to file. Lacy joined me about 30 minutes in. We periodically came out for little breathers from the heat, and lunch breaks, but we never really got out of it till around 1. That’s when the mail (finally) came in. There were 69 charts in today’s mail. It took me till just after 4 to get them all sorted, labeled and logged...and that was with Lacy’s...help. Although, Lacy found MusicMatchbox not long after we sat down and we pretty much lost her to the tune. Man, that was hilarious.
Oh, and my shirts are in. The Soup one came in a few days ago and I just got the Red vs Blue one in today. At first, I thought that my Soup shirt didn't really fit, but after trying it on, I realized that it fit just right. It just makes it glaringly apparent that I have boobs. But, I'm female so I can do that. My Red vs Blue shirt is much more comfy. But I got a dude's shirt -.- Yeah. Sucks to be me. Anyway, here's some pics.

Wow...wow, wow, wow. Man. I’m so tired. I don’t’ know how I got this tired. It feels like...oh yeah. I did take those sinus pills. That’ll get me every time.
So today’s post is gonna be a little scattered. First thing...work. Uh...Work actually went by quickly, but that’s because no one else is working. That tends to decrease the amount of faxes, letters and phone calls, na no da.
I’m slightly disturbed be one of my EQ2 characters. I never noticed till just recently, but Anvanime is starting to sound like she’s having a mini-orgasm every time she goes into battle. When people hit you, your character makes noises to vocalize that “Ow, that hurt.” However, Anvanime’s voice sounds like a high-pitch gasp or cry...When I heard it I cracked up leafing and nearly died because I forgot I was in the middle of battle. Then when I went over to play my evil characters, I noticed that all the Tunarians sounded the same. I think it’s a humanoid thing...So, it’s probably safe to say that Wood elves, High Elves, Half elves and Humans all have the same problem =_=
I checked my web site counter, and there’s only be like 5 people there. I know it’s not me either, because I’ve set the site not to count me. I do know that at least one was my Mom. So, I went over to my links section and checked to see which site had e-mails. So I sent out e-mails to people I’d linked. I just wanted them to know I had linked to them because I liked their sites. I feel like people visit the site and don’t leave feed-back and it kinda frustrates me. So, I wanted them to know that I was loving their sites so much that I wanted to link to them. I think I sent out ...something like 37 e-mails. Only 7 came back from the Postmaster (wonder if he’s anything like the Pagemaster...)
Other than that I really haven’t done much. Rewatched Firefly...uploaded a couple more icons...but that’s about it. So I’m gonna go to bed ‘cause I’m half way asleep anyway.

Yo. Today was another interesting day. I got up around 9 as usual. I poked my head out of my room, and my parents weren’t there. They certainly hadn’t left the house, but they weren’t in the living room. So, I quietly fixed my breakfast and got a cup of coffee, and then I went to my room. I started updating stuff on my web site from behind the scenes so that no one will know it’s being updated. Then Mom poked her head in here and asked when I’d gotten it. An hour and a half had already gone by. I gathered up the laundry and put that on. Mom’s still feeling terrible so things like that are up to me. By the time it was 1 I had finished the laundry, put up 3 parts of my web site, and written more in my fan fics. I was exhausted.
So I ate and relaxed for a little while re-watched episodes of Gargoyles. My favorites to revisit are of course Double Jeopardy, Upgrade, The Mirror(everyone’s favorite). Those are the ones that I like to watch that don’t make me feel like I need to sit down and re-watch the entire season. I hate going into the Avalon episodes in the last DVD, because it makes me want to watch all of the World Tour section, and I only have like 3 episodes of it. That’s the next part of the second season. I can’t wait till the next installment of this series comes out. Honestly. Way to keep us hanging, Mr. Wiseman!
Anyway. I went and did the dishes with Dad too. They were seriously piling up, and sick or no, I know my mom hates to see a dirty kitchen. So, we got that all cleaned up and then I re-read all of Lady Rheena’s LOTR Fan Fiction. I know. I’m a sap. I admit it, and I don’t care. Deal with it or be dealt with. I only just noticed a little while ago, that if you click on the stories “To Have and To Hold”, “To Love and To Live”, “Interlude”, and “Epologue” a quote from that story appears at the top of the thingy! I’ve been clicking on each one randomly just to get random quotes. I’ve been laughing about it too! God, I wish I could figure out how she did that! It’s genus. The woman is pure genus. If you read one LOTR fan fic, read that one...or...is it really 2? To Have and To Hold is the first one, and then it’s followed by the Interlude semi-fic which is just a one-shot story to pick up where it left off no more than a chapter long, then there’s To Love and To Live which is almost better than it’s predecessor, followed by the Epilogue. God...this has turned into a terrible plug. And I don’t even know this woman! /shakes head New subject!

animequeen) and I never talk anymore...well, depending on what you call ‘talking’. When we do happen to catch each other on AIM we’re not actively focusing on what the other is talking about...at least that’s the way it feels. It makes me feel so guilty. Like I should be doing more. But I don’t know what to do...
Ok...after that, I showered...and then I checked to make sure the stuff I’d put on the web was ok (it was only then that my headache had died down, so it was ok for me). I fine-tuned the web sites as much as I could and now I’m calling it a night. I’ve already taken my pills and I look forward to just plunging into my disc-man. Oblivion awaits. Goodnight.

Hello, everyone. Today has been interesting to say the least. Went with Mom to the doctor this morning and Doc gave us medicine. I gotta say, I feel worse today than I felt over the weekend. Mom had a sort of relapse thing, and now I’m afraid I might do the same thing. God, I hate being sick like this.
Ok, so Mom and I got food and medicine while we were in town, and if felt like it took us everything we had just to do that. So, we got home and took our meds, and the meds made us a little woozy. But, I still got on and gathered up pictures to make color bars. I present to you the two Johnny Depp color bars that I made for Chibi (amai_tenshi).

I just can’t decide which one I like better! They’re all good and all true, so I kept them all. Yeah. I’m a looser.
Reiko came over afterward...I think it was afterward...yeah it was. ‘Cause I showed her all the colorbars and Johnny was among them. I had been bugging her about her books that she’d left over here. She brought chocolate chip cookies, we watched many videos and had some delight even though I was ailing thusly. Dude. No matter how hard I try to use cool words like that, I never sound as good as tinhuviel.
Oh! I got an e-mail from an old friend of mine who saw my profile on MySpace. Good old Senshi (not that he’s old or anything). We kinda lost track of each other and got busy with life. You know how that goes, you forget to drop a line and life just goes on without you. But he sent me an e-mail and got a song stuck in my head, and got me to rambling and made me totally forget what I was doing, so we’re all good. /stops and looks back and forth confused Uh...whatever. Anyway, yeah so, it was great to hear from him again. That’s the second old friend that I haven’t talked to in what felt like ages that I’ve gotten in touch with lately. I hope it keeps up. I’ve gotten to where I feel like I don’t have anyone to talk to through e-mails and AIM and such before all this.
Ah well. Other than that...not much has happened. I started writing the beginnings of another EQ chapter. But it’s probably barely a page long. I’ll have to see what I’m doing and how I’m feeling tomorrow before I can say how that’ll develop.
Well, I’m really tired and I’ve been fighting off this feeling all day long. I shall now submit to the meds and sleep. Goodnight.

What a day. Ok…desperately in need of an update. Friday was oh, so much fun.
I got to Chibi’s(amai_tenshi), and realized that Reiko wasn’t there. So I called Reiko and asked where she was and she was like, “When ya’ll want me to be there?” and I was like, “Uh…now.” And she’s like, “Why didn’t you call me?!” and I’m all like, “You’re gonna be 18 in March. I kinda figured you could set an alarm or something.” So Chibi and I had hot-mocachino-hotchocolate-coffee-goodness and made small-talk till she got there. We then talked a bit and made Reiko a drink like ours, and then we exchanged gifts. But not before Reiko made fun of Chibi’s cheeks. Chibi had just gotten her wisdom teeth pulled Wednesday, so her cheeks were still huge.
Here’s Reiko’s gifts. Some MeruPuri Manga (I think) from Chibi, and from me she got Ju-on and Ring-U the original Japanese versions of the Ring and The Grudge.
Chibi’s gifts! She got the first season of Firefly from me, and from Reiko she got The Last Samurai, the cute round-top red&black purses and the bath-scent stuff.
And MM’s gifts. Princess Mononoke from Chibi, and The Brothers Grimm from Reiko along with the square red&black purses and bath stuff...is Reiko trying to tell us we smell? No, her mom got it for us...that’s just as bad I suppose. Oh well.
Ok so now we move on to checking stuff out on Chibi’s computer, and since Reiko hasn’t had the internet in ages she’s usually stuck to the monitor.
But watching someone fool around on the computer can be boring. I think that’s what Chibi’s cat was trying to say with this body language.
So, we decided to watch The Brothers Grimm in the family room...here’s Chibi trying to work the DVD players.
Reiko reapplies makeup while we wait. I choose to continue taking pictures...obviously.
Well, I got my ‘Moto-chan picture for this year I suppose. All is well with the world.
After going online and watching the Emo Video to our hearts content, Reiko did a few Emo shots for us.

Stop my breathing and slit my throat! I must be emo!
But Reiko had to leave for work...that didn’t stop her from turning up the stereo and making an exit.
Chibi and I went back inside and Chibi had a little too much fun with my picture and the photoshop program.

By Saturday, I was sick. Very very sick. Sicker than a dog...why do we have that expression? Dog’s are famed for being sick...Anyway. I think I had a sinus infection, because I hacked, coughed, wheezed, and my voice became qualified for that of a phone sex operator. I did very little of anything Saturday, but laze around and tried to find something interesting to do. And worse, that night Mom started showing the symptoms that I’d been showing Friday night.
That’s right, Sunday we woke up with both of us coughing, hacking and wheezing. What’s worse, our air conditioner decided it didn’t want to cool us off any more. We had to open all the windows, which wasn’t terrible since it was pleasant out. Is it really January? Well, if the weather’s any indication for LA the new year will be great. Can’t say so much for Texas, California and all the other states that are getting flipped off by Mother Nature. Sorry guys. So Sunday was much like Saturday, only in stereo.
Monday, Mom and I finally started moving about more, not that we wanted to, we just knew we needed to. I got a call from a place I’d sent a resume to... HRM. It’s a graphics place that makes business cards, stationary, posters, maps (for tracking hurricanes and otherwise), and anything else that can be put on paper. Wanted to interview me and asked if I was free today at 2. I said I was and that was that. I also called my Sunday school teacher who’d been “working” on AMOS here. I shall from hence forth call him…
…because that’s the name he choose for himself. So, I called Lunixman and he said that there was no doc for the hard drive to sit in so whoever told me that there was had lied. So he said my best bed would be to just get a USB thing that I can plug the hard drive into and I can’t do that right now. It coast at least $80 the last time I checked, and I can’t afford that. So I told him to patch AMOS up and I’d pick him up today sometime.
Today...God, today was so emotionally draining. Got up around 8ish this morning. I slept pretty well, but that’s partially due to the fact that I haven’t slept well the nights before. I was either ill and coughing and all, or I had to sleep with the window open for air and I couldn’t sleep because some douche-bag was popping fire works, or a dog was barking, or the wind chimes constantly gonging, or birds...you know what? I’m not gonna relive that. Anyway, I slept really good, only I felt like I could go on sleeping. But if I wake up fully and then go back to sleep, each time I wake up I feel like I’m more tired. So, I got up and drank two cups of coffee. I went and picked up AMOS from Lunixman’s place. Set AMOS up and posted here with that brief thingy there. Mom had called the air conditioner people and he was check out AC. Turns out we have a Freon leak. So he filled the thing up with Freon and told us to watch it, because he couldn’t find the leak. Just great. The thing is almost 3 years old and in ACs that’s still new. It shouldn’t be turning on us like this. Mom had to pay the guy $110 too, and that’s money we didn’t really have. I went on my interview, and dropped a resume off at a local place that wanted people to come and drop the resumes off in person instead of mailing them in. The interview didn’t go too well. I got that impression at least. But what can you do?
After that I went to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things that we needed. I didn’t spend but 15 minutes there. My shopping style is really get in-get out and that’s it. And since I was dressed up and in heels I really didn’t want to be there any longer than necessary. I mean, the whole purpose of putting on a pair is heels is to make your legs and butt look good. So here I am walking around Wal-Mart and I can’t really help but walk that way right? I mean, I’m a boutylicious girl as it is, so there’s motion in the ocean with or without heels. And I hate to get the idea that people are staring at me. I don’t like actracting attention...unless I do. But then it’s different.
Anyway, I got home, and Bub was still MIA, and Mom was upset about it so when I told her that the lady who interviewed me told me she had 20 other people to consider she took it out on me. I didn’t really mind too much it was just slightly depressing. But I got online and tried to forget about it. She kinda apologized a little later, and I could understand it. I mean she’s sick and feeling miserable, and then her son is gone and his buss leaves tonight at 12 midnight, and he’s no where to be found and...ok these issues are getting to angsty for this journal. I’ll have to put them in ruby_unicorn later...if I have the energy.
I edited chapter 26 of the The EQ Saga. I still haven’t put it up on FF.net yet...but I think I’ll do that on the 5th...just because I like the number 5. I was thinking of using 5’s as a element in the story now. Not in the plot or anything ya know, just maybe update the story on the 5th or 15th or 25th of each month. That gives me a goal to work towards that would be more regular. /shrug. Just something to think about.
Also, I got on AIM, and suddenly a buddy alert popped up and said that an old friend of mine was on. And I hadn’t talked to her in a while...I don’t remember exactly how long, but it had been a while. So, I IMed her and we got to talking. We had a nice long talk, and eventually she was like “Do you have any recent pics of yourself?” and I was like, “Uh, sure.” And she gave me a link to her Photobucket and so I gave her a link to mine. Then I relized she was on FF.net, and LJ. So I have now added chaineddove to my friend’s list on both journals. Thanks again to Allah Sulu's Massive Tool for the cute little Shampoo icon near her name! This girl and I have been friends for like 6 years or so. She and I would send anime to each other all the time back and forth. She had a ‘moto-chan just like I did, only their Sister-Sister group was Odango and HamHam. It’s great to know that we both have a lot of stuff still in common, and we both enjoy talking to each other still.
So now, Bub finally got home, and Mom hurried him to pack and bathe and all that so that they could leave. They’re gone and I’m holding up the fort. If I don’t hear anything back from Chibi soon, I’m gonna go and take my shower and then check back. I can’t wait till we can go see Narnia again...I know I’ve seen it already but it’s seeing it with her! Oh well. I’m gonna rest my eyes for a while and then go shower and then that’ll be it for me for tonight. Goodnight!

Yo. Ok so, today was tons of fun. Really. It should be illegal. It was around 11:15 when I got a call from Reiko. She was at Chibi’s but Chibi wasn’t there. I was like, “That’s probably why they wanted us there at 12...” but I hurried up as much as I could (as Mom had found a few chores she wanted me to do before I’d left 10 minutes before I actually needed to leave). Then I got over there. Of course, I was only there two minutes before Chibi arrived.
We heated up pizza and talked for a little while. Reiko was saying something about a guy’s salt-water fish tank that she loved. And Chibi was teasing her, and I said something like, “You may laugh, but fish tanks are the bling of pet stores.” That made everyone laugh, but then I broke it down and told them fish tanks alone are a lot of money, but then you consider the gravel, sand, coral, and fish, you’ve got yourself a serious bill.
We watched Gestalt first. Though some of you might be familiar with the Gestalt Theory from Psychology, the thing we watched had nothing to do with that. Gestalt Theory proclaims that the whole is greater than the sum of it’s parts...in essence, my body is greater than my pinky in all it’s glory. Gestalt that we watched is an anime, and a pretty damn good one so far. Of course, Reiko only had the first tape, meaning she only had the first 2 episodes (I think), but from those first two episodes I can say that anime was pretty good. Kinda had too many good looking women in revealing clothes, but thigns actually improved by the end of the episode. I enjoy seeing characters that actually change clothes. I remember watching cartoons as a child and thinking things like, “Does Peter Parker ever get tired of the tennis shoes, blue jeans, dusty maroon t-shirt, and blue over shirt?...He must have a ton of those, because that’s all he wears!” Of course then, I thought that cool people wore the same things over and over again to signatureize a certain look, and tried wearing the same pair of pants for two weeks. I got over that phase pretty quickly...anyway, I liked that the girls in this didn’t always have their beast hanging into a flimsy piece of material. They eventually upgraded to something more supporting, and then something that covered more. And that’s good!
We then watched Watership Down. Or at least, Chibi and I watched it. We stopped watching it like, 2/3 of the way through, and we went outside. Reiko needed a cigarette and we went to keep her company. Reiko then started jumping on the trampoline and trying to keep her skirt from going up, while Chibi and I talked back and forth with her, and Chibi’s cat stalked around in the grass.
We then went to Chibi’s Mom’s work station to check things out on the internet (Chibi has a substitute computer that isn’t fully operational yet). We laughed at the Chinese Backstreet Boys and the Dancing Room mate clips...and somehow we really got into Ozone. The Romanian group that sang the Numa Numa song…I don’t know if that’s actually its name, but that’s what we kept referring to it as. We even went so far as to print out a picture of them for Reiko (which she’s promised to put on her ceiling over her bed), and I now have that image as my desktop. What can I say? Dan Bălan is majorly hot. Take a gander at said picture. Dan Bălan’s is the hot burnet to your left.
Chibi, and I went back inside and finished watching Watership Down while Reiko satisfied her hot-band-guy fix. We rejoined her once it was over and laughed about maybe making our own type of music video and putting it on the internet. It seems like a sure-fire way to get famous these days. Just look at Gary Brolsma.
We then hung out in Chibi’s room talking till it was time to go...then again that only lasted maybe 10 minutes because we realized it was dark:30 and time to go. I now present the pictures taken from today. There’s plenty of Reiko jumping around and the rest are mostly of Chibi & Reiko. Enjoy.
And that’s about it. I’ve watched CSI:NY, and it was good. I shall now sleep. Goodnight.

Yo. Today was fun at the start. Woke up as usual, went to church then Sunday school which was interesting. Then Mom and I went to Books A Million to kill time. Afterward we went to the Olive Garden, where we tried the ‘Never-ending Pasta Bowls’ which was wonderful. Mom and I don’t like marinara or excess meat, so we stuck with the garlic and mushroom sauces. It was great. And it only cost us $19.96. By far, the cheapest excursion to The Olive Garden yet.
Also, we got the chance to talk to Tamara, a girl we’ve known for ages who works there. Mom told her we were coming to celebrate my birthday...of course Tamara got everyone to come and sing for me. /sigh Oh well, it’s all in good fun I guess.
Then we came home, and I promptly crashed and went to lay down. I have been having such a problem with congestion and nasal drip lately, and we did get something for it. They have this new thing called Sudafed Shower Soothers, they’re tabs that you put in the shower and they release effervescence. It was interesting. But overall it just eroded away releasing menthol while I showered.
As my day was totally uneventful. I have enclosed come nice color bars for you to look at behind the cut.

And I just got the strangest sensation of dizzyness/dissorientation. So I shall now go and let the medicine throw me for a loop. Later.

Yo. Today was more productive than I thought it’d be. I excepted that I’d lay around and wait for Survivor to come on or something, but I actually got stuff done today. Not in the mountain-moving sense, but it was still something. I got those mood thingies done. That did take the better part of the day. But once I had my technique down, it was relatively easy...of course, by the time I had the technique down, I only had 29 things left to make!
Then I watched Ghost Hunters that I’d taped the other night. I don’t know why I keep watching it...I just love it for no good reason. It gives me ideas...none that I could discuss now, but ideas none the less. After watching that, I watched the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen again. That was fun. It’s great to revisit a movie you like. Maybe tomorrow I’ll try for something else. I surprised myself two nights ago by watching the Lion King 2, Simba’s Pride. And I found I loved it just as much as when I’d first seen it. I just love watching animated movies though. The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, Aladdin, etc. They’re all old favorites. There’s just something about sitting down and watching them. Maybe it’s cause it allows me to be a kid again...I dunno.
Anyway. Survivor tonight was great. It wasn’t so much that the episode was so fantastic, it was just a break in the monotony! I mean, finally something to watch! Something that isn’t a rerun! And CSI shall come next week. I’m so happy, I could cry…Ok, not really. But it’s just great to see that new things are starting up. The down-time between seasons are way too long.
Then the President came on. We changed the channel 5 minutes into the speech. It wasn’t that we didn’t like what he was saying so much, it was just...boring. /shrug Go figure. I think it’s big of him to admit his mistakes and all.
Then I promptly got online to post in my journal. That was at 8:15 ish. ...I saw some cool-looking quizzes from purrsia-san. So, I was trying to fill them out. But Mom was watching this thing of Food Network about these master cake makers. They make wedding cakes and children’s cakes to die for. And she kept saying “Oh! Honey, look at that one!” every 2 minutes. It made things difficult. Finally she found a movie that didn’t require my attention. I didn’t finish the quizzes, but that can come at another entry...or just to fill in space if nothing else. And here I am.
And that was my day. Like it or not. Finally got around to posting in ruby_unicorn earlier too. That made me feel a little better. I feel bad if I don’t keep it up semi-regularly. But that’s really all there is for this day. So goodnight.
