It's pretty self explanatory :| I was really hoping to have this video fully edited and up now, but it's obvious that that just won't be happening. I need to whittle it down and work on a few things. But until I have it, here's a something from it that won't fit where I wanted it. Anyone wanna guess what the next episode will be about :D? Please do enjoy...

Dammit. My cousin gets to stay home and sleep through this glorious weather. Life is so not fair.

Last night, Scamp and I got to see 300! It was so good! I’m a little hesitant to rant and rave about it, if only because I don’t want to give things away. I lost a lot of shock-and-awe factor after one of my friends ranted about Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest and I saw “OMG, Barbosa!” in her rant, and kinda wasn’t too surprised to see Barbosa and noticed his boots in the Voodoo woman’s thing (because, in fact I was looking for him). But this was just an awesome movie. My coworkers asked about it this morning, and they asked if it was gory, and to be honest...gore doesn’t bother me (Al Gore, sure, but not movie gore). What bothers me is nudity and sex scenes, both of which were in this movie. But that’s why God invented Fast Forward. And thankfully the scenes weren’t too lengthy. I always feel like intimacy is something that’s personal and private, so having it public kind of takes away from the whole ‘intimacy’ thing =.= But, every other part of the movie was greatness in itself.

Scamp and I had a regular Geeks Night out. First we headed to Burger King to eat, and that was interesting. It was nearly empty when we walked in, and these guys walked in after us. I wasn’t paying attention to them really (if it’d been Vin Diesel or Orlando Bloom, then I would’ve paid attention, but it was not). When we sat down and started eating Scamp asked if I’d heard what they were talking about and I was like, no I wasn’t really paying attention. She said that they said something along the lines of, “That’s the biggest asses I’ve seen on a white girl. Wouldn’t mind tapping that.” ...I told my coworkers about it and they were like “Gee, how romantic.” I told them that the guys probably didn’t count on Scamp’s elvish hearing ^.^ Then we went over to Books A Million. /looks around as angels start to sing. Hmmm. Yeah, so we looked around in the Manga and D&D books. Then we headed over to the journals (which was probably a mistake). I ended up buying the D&D Player’s Handbook for myself and the Warcraft manga/comic/graphic novel/whatever. I got Scamp the Godchild manga and a leather journal...with slot for a pen and these nice dark brown pages. It was prettiful. Although Scamp was a bit shocked that I got it for her. I just enjoy getting gifts for people, especially when I have the means to do so. And besides, I couldn’t walk in there and get something for myself without getting something for her. That’d been unfair.

After that we saw the movie and Scamp exhausted me with her giddy chatter all the way home. We noticed that the “Check Engine” light was on in my car...Of course, Dad’s never really shown me how to check my oil or engine or anything else, so I’m like “Ok, now what?” Every time it’s time to check the oil, I tell him to wait and show me what to do, and what does he do? Either he forgets entirely (like this time) or he just does it without me. Honestly. I’m gonna call Mom on my lunch break and tell her what’s up, then I’ll call my Paran (who works on cars and owns a shop) and ask if there’s any time I can bring the car over since Dad isn’t in town. I don’t see any other options really.

So far….that is all that there is to talk about. So that’s all for this post. I’ll check in with you later, sunshines. Ja!

You Are a Little Messy

You aren't the cleanest person in the world, but you're definitely not a slob.
You clean up when you have the time, but you're realistic about what you can get done.
Generally, you're pretty organized and tidy - though you may have a few hidden messes.
You eventually get around to making things spotless, but you do it on your own schedule!

Hmmm...I think I need to retake this quiz =.=

Well, as far as starting your day off goes, this morning sucked royally. It was going good…until around 7. Then I made my grits like I usually do and I accidentally made them a lot more liquidally than usual. It spilled over the bowl and all onto my right hand. I burnt my right ring finger, my pinkie finger and the palm of my hand...along with the edges of pinkie and ring finger on the other hand. So, I cleaned off my hand with cold water. Then once I was sure it was clean, I went outside and got some aloe vera from Mom’s garden and rubbed it all over my hand. Then I turned on my little fan and put my hand in front of it to cool it off. Once I’d used all the aloe vera in the plant I got the ice pack and put my hand on that this morning. Then I finished getting ready and headed to work.

Reiko called me too today. Her dad’s undergoing an open-heart surgery this morning. A little later she called and said that he had a few complications due to blood clots. Evidently they found a lot of them and they had to clean them out. Well, they did as much as they could for him and then they put him in a room. Hopefully there won’t be any more complications and he can recover...maybe Reiko will even be able to come over tomorrow so we can give her the presents for her birthday.

Work is just dragging by. I can’t seem to make myself feel better either. I’m guessing it’s because I had such a bad start. Tonight, Scamp and I are planning on eating out somewhere (don’t know where as long as it’s not crowded), and then we’re going to see 300 at 7:45. The rest of this day had better get better...or I will be forced to go home, go to bed and sleep till tomorrow and try all over again for a good day /sigh.

Oh well. I’ve got ten minutes till I have to clock back on. I’ll see ya’ll later, sunshines.

Beware, for I am: Pleased Pleased

Hope everyone enjoyed that crazy fact filled post. I know I did.

Today work was huge. Let’s just say, I earned my shower today, ok people. I’m mainly in charge of filing things right? Well our filing cabinets are located in the ‘storage room’ which is secret code for the sweat box unfinished area that will be another office. So there’s no air conditioner and it’s hot no matter what you do. I have a fan that blows on me constantly, and I’m always soaked when I come out. Well I’m feeling fairly good since I’ve got half a box left before I’m done filing all the old files. Then I look over in the corner, under some wall decorations and other misc boxes, and after some heavy digging I find about 16 more boxes full of files...I asked Nick which files need filing and the reply was ‘any that aren’t stamped Complete…aka...all of them. ---___--- Yeah. But then I bucked up and just went to work. I filed, I charted, I copied, I filed some more and then I swept and I was home.

Watched Mona Lisa Smile tonight on TV. It was good all over again. It’s one of those movies that makes you very grateful for how far we’ve come and it makes you appreciate all the fights those women had to fight to get our rights for us. I’d seen it ages ago with Mom at the theater. That kinda brought me back. It feels like it’s been ages since I went to the theater. The Palace that is. I can’t wait to go back and see X3 whenever I can. I’m hoping me and the ‘Mouto-chans can pull that off some time this coming week.

Speaking of the ‘Mouto’s, Reiko dropped by to get her graduation present. It finally came in this afternoon with the mail now if only the damn Fruit’s Baskets would get here, then all would be well. She was very very excited. I got her the fourth volume of MeruPuri and the first volume of Fushigi Yugi: Genbu Kaiden...and they’re both in English -.- Yeah...Chibi kinda gets into a bad habit of buying Japanese Manga...in the original Japanese language. I’m a fan of Japan and all, but I still can’t read Japanese, yo. I can’t even really speak Japanese. I mean, sure, I can cuss people out, and I can say token phrases, but unless I get into a conversation with a Japanese cab driver, what good will that do me? /takes a breath Man...that was a long sentence...So, Reiko’s graduated (did so on the 24) and Chibi should be coming back soon. Can’t wait. I need my fix, man.../twitch twitch.

I was looking at this picture from Pirates of the Caribbean – Dead Man’s Chest, and I couldn’t help but notice that Johnny and Orly look great and rugged and the pictures are so cool..and Kera looks the same. It’s like almost the same pose as from the last one. At least the wet Orlando’s hair and sopped it around his face and put a back light on him and played heavenly music, but Kera looks almost exactly like she did from the first movie...Gotta love this piccy too. I love that the doll hanging from the skull’s dreadlock, dangly thing is like a unhappy voodoo doll of Captain Jack ^___^

Well that’s enough gabbing about movies. Mom and I kinda have plans all made up for parts of this weekend. Tomorrow we’ll sleep in. Then we can go to town, shop a bit, see the sights, have a pedicure (she’s been wanting to do that with me for ages now =_=), and we’re gonna go see Eight Below at the dollar theater. Then we’ll do some grocery shopping and be home. Sunday’s got no plans tacked to it, and even though I know it’s a tad unrealistic, I’m hoping to work on some of my fan fictions (it’s a damn good thing I wrote down all sorts of ideas while I was in college and typed them up. Otherwise I’d have nothing, and the end of the month would come and I’d be like “Ahh! Need write chapters!” But anyway.) Monday I’m kinda hoping to spend with Chibi and/or Reiko. For parts of the day that is. Just to have some fun. Because I think Reiko’s leaving for Kentucky someone tell me what’s in Kentucky worth seeing again? in like a week from tomorrow...uh…today...Uh. It’s the third --___-- So yeah. And then Chibi’s headed off to Switzerland that same week too. So...yeah. We have to manage our time wisely. But Mom and I have agreed to go rent some movies for that night and pop some popcorn and watch them together and have a girl’s night. That’ll be fun. I really hate that I’m not spending as much time with Mom these days...but work does that /shrug.

Well I’m off to bed now. G’night

Well today was a rush. I actually was busy all the way till lunch. Then...well, I was just as busy after lunch too. Mostly typing stuff, copying some stuff, and staying on the phones and such. Oh! I did do one fax. I love faxing. To me it’s fun. And I could totally kick myself because I forgot to bring in my time sheet for the staffing place. I was in such a hurry /rolls eyes. I’ll have to try and get it to them tomorrow...or something. I dunno. Oh, and I also learned that they do casual Fridays. I wish someone would’ve told me that before I dressed up. But I suppose it can’t really be helped.

Yesterday, Mom had called and said that the pork chops that she’d planned to cook were bad, and that she didn’t know what to fix. She’d already fixed smothered potatoes and green beans, but she didn’t have any ideas for the main course. So, I offered to get some Poppy’s fried chicken for us. She liked that because it meant she didn’t have to cook anything last-minute! Whenever I request a 2-peice white meat over there, they give me a breast, a wing and a drum stick...doesn’t really make sense, but that’s me requesting a 2 piece and they’re giving me three. So, I ate the wing and leg and had the breast today at work. It was so good. Sometimes they just cook it so well.

There was a small lull at work around 2, and I took that time to check LJ and then sneak over to [profile] bri_chan’s deviant art page. She had some new stuff. Her Alice in Wonderland art is amazing. You can see her love for the characters showing through. And the picture of Sata and Brooklyn with their wing talons clasped /sigh so sweet...I’m still not quite sure what I think of the mansion maid...but still it’s very well done. I almost expected to see some Bambi art after her last post. Her ‘review’ of the movie only reinforces the want to buy the DVD too. And now that I’m making money, I can actually start getting stuff off of that enormous wish list of mine.

Oh also, I was reading over my Writer’s Digest during my lunch break. I have 3 of them all piled up that I haven’t been paying attention to for a while, and I figure since I’m stuck here anyway I might as well read them. I’ve been wanting to, I just never seemed to find the motivation to actually sit and read them. Anyway, I came across the whole writer’s digest book club offer, and I thought, “Hmm...that might actually be fun.” So I’ve decided to join. You get 3 books free for buying one for $19.98, and that isn’t a bad deal at all. And besides that, you don’t have to purchase anything afterwards...though it’s more than likely that I will be purchasing a few things /grin. I just never figured that I would join a book club. I mean, it’s one of those things you think about and say ‘yeah maybe someday’ or ‘that might be fun to do later’ but I’m actually gonna be able to do it now. I find it slightly thrilling...then I remind myself that I’m all excited about joining a book club, and I tell myself to get over it. I think I’ll wait till my second pay period though...I’m still not sure what my checks should look like, so I don’t want to risk spending too much on other stuff.

One thing’s for sure; if my next pay check is big, I will be paying my insurance in advance. I want to get that out of the way. I’ve always been the type; I want to pay my bills as early as possible so that I don’t have to worry about them till the next time I have to pay them. Then I can divide up the rest of my check into savings, checkings of the fun fund /wiggles eyebrows.

I remember the last time Dad and I went to the movies I told him, “When I get a good paying job, I’m gonna wait till I’ve paid my bills, then I’m gonna get a $50 gift card to AMC for myself! That way, if ever I want to go see a movie, I’ll have the ability to do so.” Now I’m kinda like, “Enh...is that really so important?” I know the answer is no, because it’s not really important. I don’t need to have a huge AMC gift card in order to survive and be sane. But it’s kinda like accomplishment thing...that’ll probably be something that I’ll be doing with my second pay check. So what does that leave us? So far the list is;

1. Join the Writer’s Digest book club.
2. Get $50 AMC gift card.

...And the rest can be tithed and saved for whatever may be coming down the road I suppose.

Gosh this entry turned out to be long. Probably because most of it was written up at work when there was nothing to do. I’ve tried to keep from bouncing around and yet still touch on all the subjects I wanted to talk about.

Oh, another thing that I wanted to mention. I’d really love it if I could find a place that teaches html. I see all sorts of things going on on web pages and I’d love to know what type of html the people are using and exactly why. I find it interesting...but it’s one of those things like the hobbie thing. I’ve always said that I’d love to take classes in wood work and carpentry just so that I could have those skills. I love being able to think up things that I could make with wood. Just the other day on Trading Spaces they wanted to frames some pictures and put them on the wall. Well, instead of measuring around the picture and building the frame, the carpenter measured the picture, got a piece of wood that was a little less than an inch bigger than the picture, and routed around the edge. Then, they just shellacked the picture onto the wood (which had been stained and varnished by then, of course) and you have your very own picture plaque instead that looks like a picture frame! Ingenious! I told my mom that I want to do that with my posters and such. I could even do it with my diplomas.../light bulb.

Reiko came over around 6 ish too. We had such a blast. We never would’ve had that much fun if Mom would’ve been home though. We tend to be loud and rowdy and more free when we know we’re alone. We teased each other like crazy, watched a bit of Gundam Wing and she read some fan fics while I jeered at the anime. It was fun. Oh, and she introduced me to Jamaican hard core music...yeah. The really crazy part is how much I liked it. It’s funny and it does have a good beat. We’ll see.

And I’ve basically been reading fan fics since. And that’s it. I’m gonna go ahead and go to bed. I can’t wait to just laze around tomorrow. Goodnight.

Yo. Today was...so unreal. Mom woke me up around 11:30 a.m. We had to go to town to get sturdy black tennis shoes (because they have to be black for work and they have to be sturdy because …of work), and black jeans, also for work. We figured we’d go to the mall first to see what they had to offer. They have Foot Locker there and Lady Foot Locker. I had mentioned that we might be able to do a few laps or something.

Holy God. The PEOPLE! It was unbelievable! It was the most aggravating experience of my life. We walked from JC Penny’s to Sears (which means from one end of the mall to the other), and found nothing. We went to Wal-Mart and got the jeans. Wal-Mart looked like there was another hurricane coming (and I say that in jest of course). Once again, the people! People toting 2 to 3 buggies. And, what’s worse, toting their miserable, whining, ill-disciplined brats around. Another memory on which I will look back to if ever I actually question my desire not to procreate.

We mentioned the flock of people to the cashier, and she said it was like that every first of the month. Not to mention that it was Saturday, after all. I absolutely loath going to town on Saturdays. Mom and I once again resolved never to go to town on Saturdays again. Which, I’m sure, we did last time we were out on a Saturday.

We then went to Sonic and got salads for lunch. When we got back, we watched something Mom had taped on TV. I got on and checked on LJ and my friends’s list and I was shocked to see the whole page filled up. It was astounding. It was like everyone decided to post. Is it the first of the year thing? Hmmm...Ah well. Then I went to my room and watched Threshold, which I’d taped last night. Twice. It was interesting, again. I find myself enjoying the show. I then came out and sat with Mom a little while, only to learn that Invasion was going to be not only rerunning, but the next episode would be playing as well. What luck. I hadn’t seen the entire episode last Wednesday. It’s also interesting. Especially since [personal profile] rattgirl and I had discussed something about hurricanes being generated by people for reasons. She said something about the government causing hurricanes to generate sympathy for the U.S. while taking everyone’s minds off of the war in Iraq. I don't think the people we have in charge are capable enough to think up such a machine, much less actually make it.

Every time my screen saver kicks on, I stop and watch it. I enjoy watching the pictures now. There are more Black&White 2 pics, which are stunning in my opinion, plus really cool to look at. Then there’s the EQ pics of my characters that I’ve weeded out. I went thought their files and just picked certain pics of them that I liked, instead of putting all of them on here. There’s also the movie mialargs that I’ve collected while I was at the Palace. It’s just nice to see it all happen. But then I feel like a dork for staring at my screen saver with that goofy smirk on my face as I watch a picture of Shenna waving at me materialize on the screen. Ah well.

It’s raining outside. I so love the rain. I think I’ll go lay in my room and listen to it hit the tin. Goodnight.
