You’d think I woulda learned, no? Nothing is every that easy. AMOS is back. AMOS is running just fine…AMOS cannot connect to the internet. I have tried –

1) Reseting the Modem twice
2) Turning AMOS off and reseting the modem then turning AMOS back on
3) Calling the techs and letting them ‘send a signal to the modem’, then turning off AMOS, unpluging the cabel wire that goes to the modem and restarting everything 45 seconds later.

None of these things have worked, and I’ve lost the phones each time I’ve done it (mostly because the phones, tv and internet are all connected. All of these things I have tried, and none of these things have worked. It’s time to send tech guys in and let them work their magic, cost be damned. On the bright side...AMOS is running very nicely in all respects and all that crap that was by the clock is now gone, save for the Sound and Hardware Remover buttons.

In other news, Lori (our head QA nurse) has loaned me season 4 of the X Files. I watched five episodes last night...and I called Scamp when I was winding down because I just didn’t want to be alone >,< Lori was telling me that it was a lot like Supernatural only broader. I’ve found that while both series share simularities, X Files is all over the place and delving into all paranormal phenomenons (as well as a few sick and creepy things)...and it’s funded by the government. Supernatural is more localized and tries to only deal with the supernatural...Still. Both seasons are cool. I just like Supernatural better because I’m into paranormal more than sci fi and...creepy.

Scamp told me she is almost finished with my next two drawings (while she was playing Adventure Quest with Billy Goat -.- I miss rpging!), and that she’ll be sending them by…soon (eventually)…along with a surprise...that’s ‘cute’. >.> …….<.< Mmmhmm. We shall see.

I swear, you guys. One of these days, I will post after 5 and you will know that I have internet at home. Oh well. S’all for now. Ja.

Beware, for I am: Ecstatic Ecstatic

Ok, I am so happy that I don’t even care that I’m broke. Really. It’s that great. I really need to slow down and explain. Ok...

Saturday when I said that not much had happened that day, that was not quite right. A lot did happen on that day. First off, Mom and I went shopping. I bought myself a very adorable golden crescent moon necklace. It’s a simple little thing but I think it’s beautiful. Mom also paid me back for the money I used to get her medicine, and that gave me plenty of money to put into my bank account. So I went home and went onto Amazon.com and bought Threshold. It was all there, nice and ready for pre-order and just calling my name. So I figured, ‘to hell with it’ and just bought the thing. It comes out officially tomorrow. I can’t wait to get it.

So Saturday I got some new pants and a new necklace and Threshold. Sunday, I put up the MechaCon 2.0 page and updated the convention section with new graphics and all. That’s been my weekend.

Today, work was ok. We logged 86 charts. I then checked the charts for the nurses (basic stuff like heart rates, grip strengths and such). The poor nurses have been swamped with charts. So much so that they can’t really get to the ones that come in right away. And it doesn’t look as though we’ll be getting any help any time soon. The copy machine broke though, and Karen called up to warn me ahead of time so that I wouldn’t have to heave a heavy load down the stairs for no reason. That was a bit of kindness.

Other than that, I’m waiting for Friday to get here. I plan to do two things. 1) Pre-order Supernatural; 2) Buy a month (or more) subscription to World of Warcraft. I told my Twin I’d start playing it after Mecha Con, but I forgot in all the...hoopla. Then I spent too much money at Mecha Con and other stuff. Now, she’s moving and she won’t have the internet till like, the 29th or something. So I’m gonna order it on the 25th and get my character up and running. Try to learn the basics of the game and all. Then maybe we can play together. Lord knows it’s been so long since we have. Just thinking about it takes me back...

I guess that’s all for now. I’m gonna relax a bit and then hit the hay. It’s been a long day. G’night.

Whether you are the prankster of the bunch, the funny one, the wild one, or just the shoulder to cry on - your traits favor what it takes to keep people going. You like large groups of people and have many friends. When something hits home for you, however, you have a hard time with it. You also have difficulty paying attention or focusing on one thing. Beware, for I am: Relieved Relieved

Phew...today has been a long day. I went to bring Mom some lunch around 2ish. Dad was having tests done, and she hadn’t eaten since breakfast. The doctors thought that he either had a kidney infection or his kidney was blocked. The infection could be treated with an antibiotic, but the blockage required surgery to put a stint in. They said he might be there till Monday if things didn’t get any better. Mom called me a few minutes ago and informed me that he was feeling much better, and they’re considering letting him go home sometime tomorrow. Phew.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] green_goblin70 and [livejournal.com profile] popfiend for the encouragement. It means a lot.

My entire afternoon was basicly me throwing myself into anything possible to distract myself from the simple fact that I was home alone while Dad was feeling so terrible. I even managed to watch some Sci Fi...although I must say, Sci Fi was pretty ‘Dead’ tonight. Really. Everything was about dead people. I mean, I just didn’t know that supernatural and paranormal things were considered sci fi. I drew the line at House of the Dead. I mean, the whole Shallow Ground movie was actually kind of interesting. The whole blood thing and the vengeful spirits kinda gave me a bit of inspiration...or something like it. But honestly. The game may’ve rocked for some people, but the movie totally sucked. Face it, Sega, not all games can follow in Mortal Kombat’s footsteps. /nod nod nod

So, I finally finished off the lasagna too. I’m almost sad to see it go. That had to be one of the best lasagnas I’ve eaten. I’ll have to get another some time.

Well, I better be off to bed. Goodnight everyone.

Ok...so work today sucked. Too much standing, too much copying...engh. Anyway. So, got home and ate and then called Reiko. She came over with her stuff, checked her MySpace, watched a bit of the Masters Robotech season and then left to go visit a bereaved friend. I entertained myself as I always do. I was so enthralled by the John Wayne / John Ford thing they had on TV. It was cool! I so love the Duke.

Reiko got back half way through my swooning. I was surprised to find she didn’t know who ‘The Duke’ was. I was also surprised that when I asked her if December 7 meant anything significant, she had no idea what I was asking for. =__= The day that will live in infamy is dead to the next generation. We then proceeded to be really stupid and have a lot of fun. This involved gratuitous swearing and much laughter. Good times. Good times. I got bored watching her check her MySpace and talk to guys so I turned on the Sci Fi channel. There was a movie on and I decided to watch it just for the heck of it. Halfway through talking to some guy, Reiko screeches “It’s Final Destination!” and I’m like. “Oh...is that what it is...” and she’s like. “You’ve never seen it...?” and I’m like. “No...” This of course, meant that I had to sit down and watch the movie. It was pretty ...interesting. And by interesting, I mean laughable. I laughed so hard all the way through it. It just...wasn’t too scary. Or maybe I’m just jaded./shrugs

So now, we’re off to bed. She has to get up even earlier than I do. I hate late nights. Oh well. I’m gonna go listen to John Denver ^___^ Later!

Beware, for I am: Restless Restless

Well today’s been terrible so far, but I’ll spare you the melodrama and get to what I wanted to specifically talk about. I just got through watching Poltergeist on the Sci Fi channel. I’ve never seen Poltergeist before. I managed to stumble on the end of it where they were all going into the hotel room and the dad shoved the TV out of the room a long time ago, and I asked my Mom what it was. She said it was Poltergeist and she hated that movie. She said that when she big and pregnant she and Dad went to a friend’s house and they were watching it and Dad wanted to stay, but she didn’t want to because it scared her, and they all laughed at her and she ended up crying through the whole movie ‘cause Dad wouldn’t leave and she couldn’t leave alone. Man...that was a run-on. Sorry, Mrs. Connie.

Anyway. The idea of building a neighborhood on an old cemetery and not removing the bodies... The first thing I thought was, “How disrespectful.” Honestly, even if you don’t believe in things like ghosts and such, it’s very disrespectful to whoever is buried there and their family. I’d certainly be offended if someone took the land where they buried my grandparents and just removed the headstones and built something there.

Another thing I wanna bring up...why do ghost movies always have to end up messy? I mean yuck. If you’ve seen the movie, I’m sure you know what I’m talking about, so I won’t get into the (very) gorey details, but these are ghosts we’re talking about...they’re no longer in the physical plane so why do they put all that fleshy stuff on things when they associate things that have come through the supposed ‘spiritual’ plane? It baffles me.

Ok. I had to take a pain pill, and it’s kicking in (just in case you couldn’t tell). I found an old tape that I taped the Grammy’s on, so I’m gonna go and watch Kanye West and Jamie Fox’s performance over and over till I finish my food. I might nap after that...depends. Later.

Mars Movies

OK, I just saw Mission to Mars on the Sci Fi channel. It was super cool. I don’t support the Mars theory, but it was still a really cool movie. I am now watching Red Planet. I’ve seen neither, but I’ve heard a lot about them. As far as I’m concerned, Space Movies are really cool as long as there’s not too much dread and horror...and as long as most of the team survives and all that. I don’t like horror movies too much. I like suspense movies and positive movies, but I don’t like horror movies or sad movies or movies where a lot of people end up dieing.

From the two Mars movies I’ve seen...I’ve liked Mars movies too. Oh well. I shall now retreat and continue watching the rest of Red Planet. Goodnight.

Yo. Today was...so unreal. Mom woke me up around 11:30 a.m. We had to go to town to get sturdy black tennis shoes (because they have to be black for work and they have to be sturdy because …of work), and black jeans, also for work. We figured we’d go to the mall first to see what they had to offer. They have Foot Locker there and Lady Foot Locker. I had mentioned that we might be able to do a few laps or something.

Holy God. The PEOPLE! It was unbelievable! It was the most aggravating experience of my life. We walked from JC Penny’s to Sears (which means from one end of the mall to the other), and found nothing. We went to Wal-Mart and got the jeans. Wal-Mart looked like there was another hurricane coming (and I say that in jest of course). Once again, the people! People toting 2 to 3 buggies. And, what’s worse, toting their miserable, whining, ill-disciplined brats around. Another memory on which I will look back to if ever I actually question my desire not to procreate.

We mentioned the flock of people to the cashier, and she said it was like that every first of the month. Not to mention that it was Saturday, after all. I absolutely loath going to town on Saturdays. Mom and I once again resolved never to go to town on Saturdays again. Which, I’m sure, we did last time we were out on a Saturday.

We then went to Sonic and got salads for lunch. When we got back, we watched something Mom had taped on TV. I got on and checked on LJ and my friends’s list and I was shocked to see the whole page filled up. It was astounding. It was like everyone decided to post. Is it the first of the year thing? Hmmm...Ah well. Then I went to my room and watched Threshold, which I’d taped last night. Twice. It was interesting, again. I find myself enjoying the show. I then came out and sat with Mom a little while, only to learn that Invasion was going to be not only rerunning, but the next episode would be playing as well. What luck. I hadn’t seen the entire episode last Wednesday. It’s also interesting. Especially since [personal profile] rattgirl and I had discussed something about hurricanes being generated by people for reasons. She said something about the government causing hurricanes to generate sympathy for the U.S. while taking everyone’s minds off of the war in Iraq. I don't think the people we have in charge are capable enough to think up such a machine, much less actually make it.

Every time my screen saver kicks on, I stop and watch it. I enjoy watching the pictures now. There are more Black&White 2 pics, which are stunning in my opinion, plus really cool to look at. Then there’s the EQ pics of my characters that I’ve weeded out. I went thought their files and just picked certain pics of them that I liked, instead of putting all of them on here. There’s also the movie mialargs that I’ve collected while I was at the Palace. It’s just nice to see it all happen. But then I feel like a dork for staring at my screen saver with that goofy smirk on my face as I watch a picture of Shenna waving at me materialize on the screen. Ah well.

It’s raining outside. I so love the rain. I think I’ll go lay in my room and listen to it hit the tin. Goodnight.

Yo. I just got through tagging all my entries from 2003-present time. I feel good about myself..then I realize I’ve still got 2001 & 2002 to do and I don’t feel so great -.-

I found something that I need to do tomorrow...I found out today that Bro. Blaine is in the hospital. Bro. Blaine is actually one of the few people at church I look forward to seeing. He’s actually concerned about me and he’s fun to talk to. He enjoys picking and teasing and likes people who pick and tease back. So I figured I’d check and see where he is and find out if they’d mind me going over for a little visit. So that’s something.

I also need to stop by the Palace...I think I was supposed to get another paycheck and nothing has shown up on my bank statement so...I’m starting to wonder. But anyway.

That is all for tonight. I will now go shower, then I will fix something to munch on, take my pills (like a good little girl) and watch Ghost Hunters till I fall asleep. So Goodnight.

Yo. Watched The Outter Limits on Sci Fi. There were two hours of it (four episodes) and I got the last three. The first one was Free Spirit (interesting), then there was Mindreacher (awesome), and last there was Time to Time (...not wonderful, but a valiant effort). It was intereting, I have to give it that. Then I watched Beyond Belief. They had a case of a cursed merry-go-round, a red-eyed monster in a family house, a sleezy car salesmen who got served, a convient store guy who got robbed by a ghost before he got robbed by actual thugs, and then a principal who kept receving messages all over th school saying ‘Remember Pearl Harbor’. The Merry-go-round and the Sleezy car salesman were bogus, of course. The Red-eye thing was inspired by true events...but it was just weird and random.

The dude at the convenient store had saved up money to bring his family to America, and then a man came and robed him of over $8,000. Shortly afterward some other thugs came up and consequently only got $20 out of him. But the first robbery never showed up on tape, and then the dude found his cash box hidden under the register. The cops caught the people that had robbed him the second time to find they were the ones who robbed and murdered the previous owner. On the tape he recognized the previous owner as the guy who robbed him the first time...only he’d been dead for over a year. That was cool.

The really cool one was the school. The principal at this school was finding mysterious messages of “Remember Pearl Harbor” all over his school. The thing was, it was December 5, 1941. Two days before the Attack on Pearl Harbor. O.O;;;

Today is such a “I don’t wanna do anything” day...I hate it when I get like that. Tomorrow I wanna actually do something.../sigh It’s figuring out what that’s the problem -.-

Late Day

2005-Aug-03, Wednesday 12:27 pm
msmoon: (Crescent)
Yo. Today I woke up and thought “Hmm..It must be early.” Only to look over at the clock and see it was 11:15 a.m.! Dude! I remember Mom and Dad waking me up with racket. It was probably around 7ish...I just went back to sleep. So I guess it was one of those things where you fall asleep thinking it was only a few mintes when it’s been hours.

So after waking up and fixing breakfast I did something I haven’t done in a while; I turned on the Sci Fi channel. Something called The Outter Limits that I’ve never heard of. But tuning in has made me want to start taping Ghost Hunters again. Just for fun this time. Last time, I kinda got hooked ‘cause of all the cool things that I saw, but then I got tired, because it always seems like they get just enough evidence to have something but not enough to actually prove something. But anyway...

After turning on the Sci Fi channel I got on to check e-mail only to find out Arashi’s updated a lot of her stories on FF.net. It makes me regret not keeping in touch with her, but when I dropped out of the whole Tenshi thing, I really dropped out. But, I still check up on [profile] kaedabean and [profile] nutmeggy due to their Live Journals. The least I could do is keep up with Arashi through FF.net. She had a few stories by someone by Tamora Pierce...I just realized that I have no idea who Tamora Pierce is or what she writes. But considering Arashi’s good taste in writing, I decided to look her up. It looks pretty interesting...

I had another weird dream last night. Although I know very few dreams that aren’t strange. I dreamed that Batman and Lion-O were fighting...because Batman thought Lion-O and the Thundercats were in league with Catwoman...Then Lion-O used the Sword of Omens to call the other Thundercats...and Catwoman showed up due to the cat signal! I don’t know what happened with the whole Batman situation, but the next scene was in Cat’s Lair...Catwoman had evidently joined the Thundercats and was in love with Panthro!

I then woke up and went back to sleep, only to dream that one day I woke up with beautiful reddish-brown hair. I loved it. It was lush and vibrant and beautiful...but everyone else hated it. When I asked them how it looked they would make disgusted faces or give me sympathetic looks. Weird.

Oh well, gotta get back to Outter Limits. I still need to figure out exactly what it is I’m watching...
