NAK - The First Day
2010-Aug-18, Wednesday 05:52 pmFirst day of college was today. I think you'd have to be a professional student before you could actually consider it a non-stressful experience. Even when you've got all your ducks lined up in a row, you feel all jittery and out of place. Gotta say it though, very little actually went wrong today.
Parking was atrocious, but everyone makes such a major deal over how bad the parking is that you forget how bad the parking situation is. Then when you're in that situation and you end up parking in Lot G which is a quarter mile away…. you can't help but think, 'whoa! the parking is really frakin' bad! D:'. Then you remember, that's exactly what you knew all along and you laugh at yourself… it doesn't make the parking better, but you're mood is just a tiny bit lighter….well, at least it was for me :)
Soooooooo! All of my classes are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays... although, my fourth class is just on Mondays and Wednesdays… I have Sociology first at 9, and it probably would be better if I got up and left the house at 7:45, and then just waited around until 9 for my class. If you're curious as to why…reference the above paragraph <..<
I've never really understood exactly what Sociology is… Evidently, sociology, anthropology and psychology are all in the same field, only they have more specific focuses. I look forward to actually understanding what the hell that means, and hope to God it doesn't bore me into insensibility :3 After Sociology is English Comp I, which is actually jointed with Sociology… evidently it's something that helps you to apply skills you'd learn in one course in …all courses…or something. I dunno. At this point my brian's kinda fried anyway. I'm generally bad at lecture classes…because my ADD kicks in and just flairs up into this horrible thing. I'm kinda the same at reading though… I tend to read stuff and not remember a thing of what I've read. I've tried reading out loud, but that doesn't really help much. But the English Comp class is also a 'discussion' class…which might be better than a lecture class if only because it's a little more engaging….provided that I actually engage, of course.
But after those two classes (which appear to be THE classes, the hardest classes I will have), I have Algebra. I never thought I'd say this, but… I think I might actually enjoy/not despise this. They're starting off with basics, so instead of straining my brain to remember what I used to know (and purposefully forgot) about algebra, I actually get a refresher course. Also, the lessons are all on computers and you listen to headphones while someone explains what you're supposed to be learning and you take notes and …stuff. It's pretty cool actually. Or maybe it's just my love of computers coloring my natural abhorrence of the dreaded beast (aka algebra).
I then have my hour break, and at 1 I'm off to Intro to Info Tech, which is a computer class. Intro to Info Tech is actually longer than the other classes… Most of the classes are only 50 minutes, but ItIT is an hour and 20 minutes long, but that's because we only meet on Mondays and Wednesdays.
You know how, when you have a bunch of classes, you designate one as the 'easy' class? It's not really easy, but in comparison to the others, it may as well be, right? Well, Into to Info Tech is that class. It'll be great too, because as much as I loved Word 2003…it's the old version now. So I'll probably get a better understanding of how to work the newer programs :)
The instructors are really cool though. I mean, I haven't had a single problem with any of my teachers at all. They all seem pretty awesome at this point… of course, it's still early. But they all seem pretty accessible. During Intro to Info tech, I got on my student e-mail and added all my teachers' emails to my contacts… just in case.
That is my 'thus far' report of college…thus far o..o' There really isn't much else to say. I have chapters to read over and stuff to do, but over all I have to say, the experience wasn't as daunting as I thought it would be. As long as our instructors don't make us constantly play these ridiculous social games and causing my social anxieties to flair up, I should be fine… I suppose I'll be fine even with the social anxieties…. they just don't make it easy -..- Oh well. I'll put on my big girl panties and deal with it. It's all I know how to do.
Guess that's all for now. Later, Sunshines :)

Checking in, My Friend
2009-Jan-16, Friday 01:18 pmI dropped off the grid, didn’t I now? Oddly enough, there’s little to talk about - that’s how things go when you only have one or two local friends and no job :( I’ve been playing WoW a bit more..but really there’s little to talk about there too.
I did manage to make a friend at church though. By definition, all the people at church are technically friends, but a few stick out as actually having things in common with you. For right now, I’ll just call her Nostariel. Nos and I are in the same class in Sunday school, and when Dad had to stay late at church for choir practice we actually managed to sit and talk for about 45 minutes. She has experience with MMORPGs (she’s gone from EQ to City of Heroes/Villains, then finally landed on Guild Wars, where as I landed in WoW), she loves to read and write stories (she turns out a lot more stories than I do though), she laughs easily, and she has a witty, somewhat sarcastic sense of humour/outlook on the world. In short, we get along great.
Another great thing, Nos is fluent, even gifted one might say, when it comes to computers. She seems to understand a great deal more than I do. This wouldn’t be a big deal really - another reason she’s uber, sure, but not a defining factor - but when I told her about the problems we were having with our two computers and setting up a connection through the router....she decided to try to come over and help. Now, granted, she hasn’t been able to establish much other than that our computers are totally wigging out and have very weird settings before she had to leave for an appointment, but the fact that she’s putting forth the effort is really nice.
In other news...Mom has developed such a soar throat, she can’t even speak anymore, unless it’s in whispers. She’s very miserable really, though we are doing our best to keep her placated. When she heard that Nos was coming over today, she panicked and made us all go into a frenzy of cleaning >..> My room’s cleaner now than it has been since...well, since I moved in.
You know, I actually have my journal posted in a few spots...I mean, my favoured journal of choice is and always will be My LiveJournal. But FaceBook automatically takes my posts and puts it into notes there, and I manually take my words to MySpace and update my blog there. It’s very odd, because truly, if I had my druthers, I would only really have LJ as my blog spot....but then, no one else would know what I was up to. So, I try to accommodate my friends no matter what form of communication they prefer.
I guess there’s little more to discuss. I shall post later (if there’s anything worth posting about :) See ya, Sunshines.

PS: Does anyone else think it’s weird that the first thing I want to do when I make a new friend, is learn not only the meaning of their name, but what their elvish name is? I mean, my friend up here, I was very delighted to find her elvish name is Nostariel (especially since I have a character named Nostariel =..=). I know Scamp’s is really Nessima, and Reiko’s is Vanmoriel, and Chibi’s is Laesneniel....ok...you know what?...I’ll stop here. Nevermind -_-

So, today, we got the replacement for the memory…and it still doesn’t work. So, the tech guy goes over everything he can and finds that the mother board is dead too. So he sent away for the mother board today. I should be getting that in tomorrow, and then they’ll have to come out and re-set up my computer so that it’s on the server and everything. So, now I’m working at Lenda’s computer.../sigh. I miss my music and my favorites and my computer in general.
…I wish I had WoW at home.

Happy Black Friday, you crazy peoplez
2007-Nov-23, Friday 10:52 am
But enough about this day that means nothing other than any other day to me. Wednesday night and maybe some of Thursday is what I’d like to go over. Wednesday, after work, I headed over to Reiko’s house. I watched (and occasionally helped) her clean her place for.../thinks. about 2 hours. She’d been cleaning since 3 and didn’t stop till 8. After that was all finished, we headed to my place to watch movies and eat a lasagna. She got a call from her friend, Mike, who has been her protector for a while now. He was meeting some chick he’d met over the internet…and it wasn’t going as well as he’d like. Well, since it would take about an hour and 45 minutes for the lasagna to cook, and it’d probably take him an hour and 45 minutes to get here, we went ahead and invited him over. Mostly, we talked while eating. But then, Reiko found out that Mike had never heard of Red vs. Blue. So we watched the first season, and by then it was 12, and Reiko was dragging from her full day of working/cleaning, so Mike drove her home (and since I’d driven her to my place, that worked out rather well actually). I didn’t get to bed till 1:30 a.m., but at least we got to have a bit of fun together.
Thursday was cold...seriously, ya’ll. It was mild and pleasant Wednesday, but Thursday was cold. So I suited up in my WoW hunter shirt, and my new really dark jeans, which turned out to be bootcut (we’d thought they were straight leg), so I wore the only pair of black, high-heel shoes I have and it actually looked really good. We went next door to Uncle C’s bringing 3 different food dishes. After waiting for the food to finish cooking and other family memebers to arrive, we finally got the chance to eat. All in all, Thanksgiving passed pretty quickly. Then I was home, reading some of my new Supernatural books. It wasn’t long before Dad came over to check out the hot water heater, which’s been giving me plenty of trouble. I went next door to watch Heroes, Bones and America’s Next Top Model with Mom. After all that, Dad told us that he couldn’t fix it today, so I had to take my shower over at the Rent’s place. I certainly hope he can fix that today...
This morning, after I’d gotten ready and all, Dad came over and had some coffee with me. We said we’d try getting my computer desk assembled this afternoon. Finally, I might be able to work on my jump drive somewhere other than work!
I guess that’s all for now. Later, Sunshines.

Ok, enough of that. The weekend was nice...Any day I don’t have to wake up at 5:45 is a good day. Saturday, Scampers went home. Her parents and older brother Josh came over. Josh played some WoW. We talked a lot. Ate. Uncle Steve went over and looked at the Nexus and gave Mom a page full of stuff that we need to remember. He said if the house is empty as it is now, he can paint the whole thing in one day. That’s very promising. We had wanted to go with paneling upstairs because the paint keeps peeling, but he says that it’d be cheaper and easier to just spray on that stuff that we have on our ceilings now (popcorn ceiling). He says he can smooth it all out and it’ll be all professional. I wonder if we can paint it...I hope so.
After they all hightailed it, Mom and I decided we should go shopping. I had seen some nice tank tops in the JC Penny’s catalog that I wanted to see about getting. We were disappointed to find them in the juniors section. But we reasoned that if we got an XL, it’d fit. Well, it didn’t =.= So, we’re gonna end up returning 4 tops if we can. We did find some uber cool PJs for me. That was nice. We then went to Target and I bought a bunch of crap (and Mom did too!). I got Firefly, Pan’s Labyrinth, Second Hand Lions, and Robin Hood: Men in Tights. I now have a desire to buy as many Mel Brooks movies as I can lay my hands on ^.^ And Second Hand Lions is still one of the best movies. I’m still not sure if I liked Pan’s Labyrinth….it was beautifully made, and the Spanish language really embellishes it…but, I’m not sure if the ending was really a good one, or if the end justifies the means. It’s just…disappointing. Firefly is still coolness on a stick. I can’t see why anyone would’ve canceled that.
Speaking of disappointments, saw Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End with Mom and Scampers Friday night. /sigh …thanks a lot Disney. Sorry, but I didn’t enjoy the ending. It was all good…until the end. Hate what they did with the Turners. And another thing… um, Disney? Why does everyone of importance on the boat have to scream “FIRE!!” before the cannons can fire? I’m just curious.…I mean, is there a contract somewhere? Or is that just your way of expressing chain of command or something? I Loved Jack. That never will change. Gotta love Jack. Scampers tells me that they’re thinking about making two more movies about just him, and they’ll be like a prequel and a sequel. That’d be much coolness.
I worked a bit on my web site Monday as shocking as that sounds. I’ve been tweaking things quietly for a while now, but just recently I took down the hidden “Original” section that was all about my story and world, and I started working on my Warcraft section. It’s made me want to redesign my City of Heroes section too. I only just noticed that all of the characters that I have up there, are characters from my first run with CoH…So, I might-should update at least the characters that I actually had the last time I played =.=
Mom and I were talking the other day, mostly about our future plans and all. She said that eventually, she and Dad want to travel a bit before he retires (while they can still afford it). There’s a lot of the country that they still haven’t seen, and Mom’s always wanted to sorta tour the US. She was saying that Dad asked her not to get a dog while they’re traveling around (which is totally weird, because Mom’s the last person to have a dog when she’s home in every-day life much less when she’s traveling all over). And she said that while they didn’t want to get a dog, it might be a good idea for me to get one, at least as a guard dog and companion while they’re away. I am on the back half of the two acres and all. Mom and I searched for Large Breed Dogs, and we found a web site that has information about Giant breeds and Lage breeds and even some medium breeds. It has their temperament and such on there along with how they look and what they were bred for.
I think I’ve finally decided….on a Great Dane. I want to get a great dane puppy ^.^ So, that means I’ll be tracking down my cousin Angel to pick her brain about the breed, what type of nutrition and training they’d need and all that. I figure, I’ve got at least an acre to myself and I know my parents don’t mind sharing it with me, so I’ve got plenty of room to exercise her. I think Angel works at Pet Smart with obedience classes and such, so I could start with that while she’s a pup and then keep up the training at home. Plus the temperament is perfect for what I want…and it’d be real nice to have a dog to come home to. The only thing I really want to check out is if the pen that Uncle Charles gave me is big enough for the dog when she’s full size. I’m thinking that I can leave the dog there when I go out to work, and then come home and exercise with the dog by walking or playing or whatever. Then it’ll be time to fix supper and eat. I’m also thinking that if I fix the dog’s food before mine, she’ll be so busy eating, she might not pay me any mind while I fix my food. So…I need to know about space, food, training, and any other needs the dog may have...Should be a piece of cake ^.^
Oh, and guess what? Chibi's home! Yeah, my 'Mouto-san's finally come back. We've talked about getting together sometime this Saturday. I'll have to call Reiko and see if/when she can make it. So, I'm wondering. I had these gifts that I had wanted to give them for Christmas last year, but I forgot that they were there (there was so many other things to remember!). So I'm wondering if I should just give them that now or wait till Christmas again....
I was just thinking how interesting it’d look if I got all set up and I got my dog and all, and then if Scamp came to visit (which I’m sure she will) with her dogs….that’d be a funny picture.
I guess that’s all for now...I can’t think of anything else to write. Pay day comes at the end of this week…so I’ll be broke again soon ^.^ Later, sunshines.

In other news, I’ve recently been moved to Lacey’s corner. That happened this past Friday. So now, I have two monitors, sound, and a computer that doesn’t move slower than a retarded sponge. That’s so awesome. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy it. And I can’t say how much I will be enjoying it once I start bringing my own CDs in ^____^ hehe..
So, yeah…trying to focus on good stuff...because bloody hell week has begun and I’m feeling even more bitchy than usual. It doesn’t help that Lacey’s leaving this week, and Boss Lady is hoping to heap a bunch of her duties onto my plate…right. But no…no, I’m not focusing on that. I’m focusing on the fact that I have a nice new spot, tucked away in a corner where I feel nice and secure, next to the fax machine and shredder (so I don’t even have to walk across the room to get to them), with dual monitors that I can watch my pictures slide onto...and I can listen to music…Yeah...that’s what I’m gonna focus on. Because…life’s short…and…crap. Bastards.
Well that’s enough from me for this post. Hope everyone’s doing ok. Later, sunshines.

Oh, the nerve >.>
2007-Mar-20, Tuesday 11:44 amIt was still fun though...We did a lot of talking, and we broke in my DVD Camcorder (without actually breaking anything ^.~). The phones were acting funny so we didn’t get the chance to voice post. Maybe next time. It’s funny too, cause we talked about so much that I barely remember all of it. It comes to me in pieces though.
Oh yeah... ¬.¬ there was that one thing we talked about. One day we’re sitting down, just unwinding (not watching anime/tv/anything or playing games) and Scamp tells me, “Oh yeah. I talked to William the other day...” and I’m like
”Well, he said that he had been bored one day, so he went to your journal—“
”Oh, he was bored so he went to my journal. Well, how very nice of him! He certainly knows how to make a girl feel special.”
”Uh, yeah =.= Uh, anyway. He said that he saw the pictures of yourself on there, and he was surprised because you didn’t look much like me.”
”Well, at least he had the sense enough to notice that.”
”Yeah. Then he said, “You know, I have this friend...”, and I told him to just stop right there, because we’ve had pretty bad luck at match making.”
…I could probably go on a rant just on the whole “I was bored, so I went to her journal” thing...but, that’s not really the point here...I find it extremely amusing that Billy who has yet to deign to actually talk to me, thinks he could possibly find a nice match for me...That’s great. You read my journal when your bored and you’ve decided to hook me up. Just great. Firstly, and foremost, I have always felt the same way as Wednesday Adams when it came to finding a guy.
“If you found someone who loved you more than anything, and was entirely devoted to you and was willing to be your slave...what would you do then?”
“…I’d pitty him.”
Honestly, I can’t see there actually being a match out there for me, because I doubt there’d be someone willing to put up with my crap and quirks long enough to actually earn my affections. And believe me, my affections are earned. I do not give them away lightly, and it takes a whole lot more than a pretty face to catch my eye.
Now, I’m not really fussing about this, I’m just laying down the law. My law. I don’t generally mind the idea of someone close to me thinking well enough of me to bother trying to match me up with someone they know, but the truth of the matter is, I would only ever trust someone who truly knew me to do such a thing.
Well! Now that I have appropriately ranted about that, I can move on. Not that I expect him to actually hear about this, unless he’s taken by another period of bordum ¬.¬ But anyway...I really wanted to start an exercise routine up Monday, but of course, I was so exhausted after coming in from work I just vegged out all evening. Work is obviously a four letter word for a reason, no? I mean, I don’t really do very much physically...and I almost feel terrible complaining about it when there are so many worse jobs, but I can’t really help it. I should probably see a doctor about how tired I am all the time. But, I don’t have the energy to hunt one down.

Q: Do you know a secret about number 5?
A: [Lacey] >.> ….. <.< It wouldn’t be a secret anymore if I were to say it...
Q: Describe the relationship between number 2 and number 3.
A: [Chibi & Reiko] They’re evil twins...I don’t want to speculate any furthur than that…
Q: What is the best thing about your friendship with number 4?
A: [Jen-Twin-san] Hmmm, I suppose we help each other satisfy the gaming fix.
Q: Have you ever danced with number 5?
A: [Lacey] >.> No.
Q: How long have you known number 1?
A: [Scamp] Technically, all her life, but I’ve only really gotten to know her after Mecha Con last year.
Q: Have you ever been in a fight with number 3?
A: [Reiko] Yeah, but nothing huge or serious. Just her moodiness and my ‘not taking your crap’-ness.
Q: Does number 1 have a boyfriend/girlfriend?
A: [Scamp] Yup ^____^
Q: Have you ever been a co-worker with number 5?
A: [Lacey] Heh…yeah.

A: [Jen-Twin-san] …….no…I’ve wanted to turn her into a sheep for a while...
Q: Has number 1 ever met your mother?
A: [Scamp] Yup.
Q. How did you meet number 2?
A: [Chibi] My mom took me to her house because her mom was going to tutor / home school me with her.
Q: Did you ever accidentally physically hurt number 5?
A: [Lacey] No. Although she did appear scared of my knife when I showed it to her...
Q: Do you live close to 4?
A: [Jen-Twin-san] No =.=
Q: What is number 2's favorite food?
A: [Chibi] Ice Creame ^.^
Q: Out of your top 12, which one would you say is the funniest?
A: Good question…they’re all pretty funny. I’d say Scamp, if only because she can be funny without even meaning to.
Q: Who is the most flirtatious?
A: Reiko =.=
Q: If you could change one thing about number 1, what would it be?
A: [Scamp] Location, location, location.
Q: Say something nice about number 3.
A: [Reiko] She’s set herself a nice, solid future.
Q: Which one lives the farthest away?
A: Jen-Twin-san.
Q: Which one do you hang out with the most?
A: Hmm…probably Lacey, but only because we work together.
Q: Who is the loudest?
A: …Reiko...
Q: The quietest?
A: None of them are quiet, but I’d have to say…Chibi.
Q: What kind of car does number 5 have?
A: [Lacey] Camero
Q: Have you traveled anywhere with number 3?
A: [Reiko] No…I’ve driven her around a lot before she could drive.

2007-Jan-09, Tuesday 10:36 amYou’d think I woulda learned, no? Nothing is every that easy. AMOS is back. AMOS is running just fine…AMOS cannot connect to the internet. I have tried –
1) Reseting the Modem twice
2) Turning AMOS off and reseting the modem then turning AMOS back on
3) Calling the techs and letting them ‘send a signal to the modem’, then turning off AMOS, unpluging the cabel wire that goes to the modem and restarting everything 45 seconds later.
None of these things have worked, and I’ve lost the phones each time I’ve done it (mostly because the phones, tv and internet are all connected. All of these things I have tried, and none of these things have worked. It’s time to send tech guys in and let them work their magic, cost be damned. On the bright side...AMOS is running very nicely in all respects and all that crap that was by the clock is now gone, save for the Sound and Hardware Remover buttons.
In other news, Lori (our head QA nurse) has loaned me season 4 of the X Files. I watched five episodes last night...and I called Scamp when I was winding down because I just didn’t want to be alone >,< Lori was telling me that it was a lot like Supernatural only broader. I’ve found that while both series share simularities, X Files is all over the place and delving into all paranormal phenomenons (as well as a few sick and creepy things)...and it’s funded by the government. Supernatural is more localized and tries to only deal with the supernatural...Still. Both seasons are cool. I just like Supernatural better because I’m into paranormal more than sci fi and...creepy.
Scamp told me she is almost finished with my next two drawings (while she was playing Adventure Quest with Billy Goat -.- I miss rpging!), and that she’ll be sending them by…soon (eventually)…along with a surprise...that’s ‘cute’. >.> …….<.< Mmmhmm. We shall see.
I swear, you guys. One of these days, I will post after 5 and you will know that I have internet at home. Oh well. S’all for now. Ja.

Gong Band Rolling On
2007-Jan-05, Friday 10:30 amIn other news, I dropped AMOS off at the computer doctor’s this morning. It took all of 10 minutes to get him in there, explain what was wrong, fill out the paperwork and then be on my way. They were very nice about it, so it made it easier to drop him off. I had doubted that I was even the slightest bit menstrual untill I teared up 3 times this morning and one of them was when I had to leave AMOS there =,= As Lacey would say, I am so fried.= As Lacey would say, I am so fried.
…Oh, did anyone else enjoy the flower post? I thought it was cool. I put the supposed meaned of the flower under it’s picture, then the actual huge definition under that. I just thought it’d be another way to show cool facts and stuff. And since I recently started taking interest in the meaning behind flowers and trees, I thought that’d be cool.
Well, Jason’s working on the server back in the back, so we can’t actually work till he tells us we can get back on...s’kinda boring, but I’ll find ways to fill the time ^______^ I’ll check in on FaceBook and Amazon next. But that’s all for now. Ja!

Fixing and Gathering
2007-Jan-03, Wednesday 04:43 pmOh, also, an update on the Gathering Convention comingum in June. I was talking with my Mom and I decided to reserve rooms for the 21th – 26th of June so that gives us plenty of time to arrive and loung about before leaving. She then told me that Dad had told her to go ahead and put the ammount of the rooms on their credit card and that’d be my early birthday present…omgsquee, anyone? That has to be the coolest thing every. In fact, I think I’ve pretty much decided to pay them back a little with that...because it may just be too much O.o Or maybe I’ll just pay for all of our eats and such on the trip. We’ll see what we work out.
Also, Nicole announced that she’s throwing Mrs. Mary (her mother-in-law) a birthday party this Saturday. She invited all of us to come and said something about it being an all-girl party and such. That sounds like fun. Heck, any reason to celebrate would be a great idea if you ask me. We aren’t offered that many chances to do so in life so we should take them as they come. So Saturday, I will be heading over to Nicole’s place for the party...if I can find it...
That’s all for now. Here’s to hoping someone can fix AMOS cheaply -.- Ja.

Also, I’ve uploaded a crap-load of pictures to the ‘Stuff’ Album on my FaceBook. That was ammusing. Other than that, I’ve got a double quarter pounder with cheese calling my name. Adios!

I haven’t heard anything from Chibi...Rieko did send me an e-mail, and I quickly e-mailed her back regarding her schedule...If I haven’t heard anything by the end of the day, I’ll resort to making calls. Chibi said something about them not being here for Christmas because of the cruise they’re going on. The truth is that no one knows anything, so I’ll be referring over the phone whenever I can.
At work, both Mrs. Mary and Lacey are getting divorces from spouses that treat them poorly or have cheated on them. We don’t know how they can possible laugh at this, but I think it’s from the earlier experience. Both Lacey and Mrs. Mary have had this type of trouble before, so they’re not as devastated by it. Nicole said she’d be crying and Lori, Lenda and I agreed we’d probably be under investigation for justifiable homicide. /nod nod nod. It’s like it’s terrible, but they really are taking it in stride. S'probably more because they've little choice...
Oh well. That’s all for now. We got Lacey to get us some Raising Cains today, and from the headache that I’m getting tells me she needs to get back soon =__=

Life and Mists
2006-Dec-13, Wednesday 12:03 pmLacey is my giddy, girly buddy at ISR. The two of us rant, ramble, babble and giggle on about the silliest of things. But there are many times when Lacey tells stories about her home life that make my sides hurt from laughter. Two cases in point for yesterday.
1) Lacey told us about something her son Trystin did over the weekend. She said that he told his dad that he was writing a letter ‘to the fairies’. Of course, the kid had me at ‘a letter to the fairies’. But it gets better. Evidently, Trystin had a cat named Milo some time ago. And this Milo went missing. So Trystin had thought up this idea to write a letter to the fairies and ask them if they would mind checking on Milo wherever he was. He wanted to tell Milo that he missed him very much and he hoped he was happy and not dead. Ok, now this is a kid that I could really get along with.
2) Secondly was the cake. Ok, so not only are we (evidently) throwing Lacey a party, but she’s gonna be having one for herself at home. So, her hubby, Justin, tells her to go ahead and order her own cookie cake because he’s gonna be on his motorbike so he can’t very well pick it up or anything. Of course, Lacy thinks this is kinda …’frou-frou’ but it’s not like there’s anything she can do about it. So, Lori and I hear this and we tell her, “You know what? Since you’re ordering the cake, you should put something like ‘All Hail Queen Lacey’ or ‘Happy Birthday Queen Lacey’ on it!” She loved the idea! So now she’s gonna have a cake at her party tomorrow (at home at least) that’ll be all ‘happy birthday Queen Lacey’!
What else is there to talk about…? Oh yes! I almost forgot. I watched The Mists of Avalon the other night...gotta say: didn’t love the whole mover over-all, but there were several interesting spots here and there. For one thing movies full of gloom, despair, agony, arranged loveless marriages, incest and other such things are not my cup of tea to start out with. Though I do like the way the movie showed the original Christian, Pagan and Catholic religions. Especially showing how the Catholic religion was a lot like mixing Druid and Christian religions. Maybe I haven’t grown up enough yet, but in any movie in which there are more than a handful of characters and only one or two live (and even then do not necessarily live happily) is not a movie in which the ends justify the means.
Each day that passes, I try to clean a bit more than the day before because I know that ComCast will be coming in here on the 14th and I really want my room to be at least partially decent...which is quite a feat, I can assure you. But, alas, I don’t seem to be making much of a dent. Aye, there aren’t pillows and books and blankets all over the floor anymore, but all the tables and everything look just as bad as they did before. The down-side of picking stuff up off of the floor is you have to put it somewhere...and that’s what tables and such are for right? I’ll really crack down on it tomorrow. For now though, I’m just too tired.
Oh...I’ve such a sinus headache. What with the weather’s constant change, I can’t seem to get inoculated. Last week were in the mid 50’s. Then Friday we were in the 40’s. Saturday saw the 50’s again, Sunday it was in the 60’s and now we’re in the 70’s! Honestly! And they wonder why people can’t seem to get well =_= Oh well.
That’ll be all for now. We’re about to have Lacey’s birthday lunch and then have her surprise cake. I brought my camera, so I’m hoping I’ll have pictures up on my FaceBook later. Ja!

Over the Freakin' Weekend...
2006-Dec-11, Monday 10:41 amOk, so after watching FD1 & 2 and I have to say…I don’t think I’ve laughed this much watching the Sci Fi channel since they showed Jeepers Creepers 2. Did anyone else see Jeepers Creepers 2? That was hysterical!! Oh! At the end of FD2, when they all think it’s over and they’re bar-b-queing with those farmer folks that they took the car from. And the farm kid says that he nearly got killed by the news van and then goes over to the grill, and the two people look over expectantly and then the grill explodes! Right as the woman started screaming, I heard Ruby says “Death’s back, bitches.” It was so freakn’ funny! Though the likenesses between the people in the first movie and second movie are scary. Eugene and Carter are alike in that they’re non-believers that wanna go out on their own terms and make a big show about killing themselves even though they don’t get the chance to. Kim’s like Alex because of the premonitions I suppose. Clair’s herself, but that police officer dude reminds me of her in the fact that he’s supporting Kim. Oh, and the stoner dude reminds me of Hitchcock...the business chick reminds me of that preppy girl that got run over by the buss, and the mom and her kid kinda remind me of the Teacher and Todd from the first movie. Clair finally died though... Funny no? You know, I don’t find horror movies in general to be funny, it’s just teen-horror movies if you know what I mean. The more teens involved the funnier it is for some odd reason. I guess it’s because they’re so stupid...I mean, not the movies but the teens in them. I remember watching The Ring and that wasn’t stupid or funny. Jeepers Creepers the first movie, was very creepy, which is what they wanted I imagine. But it wasn’t funny, it was freaky-creepy. So, does anyone have any other teen-horror movies that are stupid funny that I can add to this list’o’mine. Maybe the subject shouldn’t be teen horror movies, but rather things that are taken seriously that are completely laughable.
Oh, and as a bonus, I got to see Village of the Damned which is the movie version of The Midwich Cuckoos. I’d become interested in the book when I learned about the Stepford Cuckoos from X-Men. I was debating on whether or not to watch it, and I even left the room for a second to go and get something, then I came back in and all the people just dropped and I thought “Hmm...this reminds me of The Midwich Cuckoos book…” then I saw the sign that said “Midwich 7” and was like “Dude!!!” So of course, I had to watch it. After that I was like “Um, is that Kristi Alley? God she’s hot...” and then “OMG! That’s Mark Hamil!! I am so not worthy...” and lastly “It’s Christopher Reeves…*sniffles*” Although, I gotta say, I don’t know if in the book the alien kids were actually kids. On the cover of the book I saw, it looked like young adults to me...but the movie was creepier if only because creepy kids like that are so much scarier than anything else science fiction can throw at me O_O Little David was awfully cute though...
Also, Sci Fi has been running the Arby’s commercial where there are 3 construction workers sitting on break, and two foxy ladies walk by and they say nothing, then they start cat-calling at a balding guy in a suit because he has an Arby’s bag and I’ve laughed myself into a headache at least 3 times from it. Then again, they’ve been running the Eregon (which I can’t wait to see) commercial, The Lost Room commercial and the ED commercial…I’m getting sick of the last two in that list =.= Though that Staples commercial with the gift panel is funny when you see different ones. Oh! And that World of Warcraft commercial! Where this guy is actually sitting at his cubical at work playing WoW, and some guy walks up and says “How are you doing? Are you gonna have that report done for us by this afternoon?” and the WoW dude says “No. In fact, I’m gonna have to ask you to just come back another time. I got a meeting with the Bobs in a couple of minutes.” And the narrator says “Somewhere you’d rather be?” that was so cool! I don’t know how many times I wished I could play WoW at work =___=
Guilty Pleasure. Ok, I have a confession to make. I’ve discovered my very first guilty pleasure. The truth is that I really don’t feel guilty about most of the things that I enjoy doing. Even if most/some people don’t consider them right, fun or cool. I argue that if it doesn’t take insane domination over my life and gives me pleasure, it’s just fine. But I have discovered one thing that I think is very not right and in fact it makes me feel a bit guilty that it gives me pleasure……I love...watching The Girls Next Door on E!. Do not ask me why, but I find their inane prattling hilarious. In fact, if I see that there running it on E!, I’ll sit and watch it...even if it’s reruns. I find myself very ashamed that I enjoy watching these girls considering that they’re the exact opposite of everything I consider important. But Alas, it’s true. I enjoy watching the blond bimbos.
AMOS. Even without the internet, AMOS is still behaving terribly. It takes 2 minutes to pull start things that used to take nanoseconds. I think Scamp mentioned something about Memory and I’m beginning to wonder if maybe that might be it….I’ve got hundreds of World of Warcraft pictures too, that could be it. I wish I could figure out how to get WoW to convert the images to jpeg files. Then I wouldn’t have to convert them, I’d just burn them to CD when they get to be too much. But it can’t be just that. I had at least 300 pics of Shenna alone on my PC when I played EverQuest, and I had about 80 characters...I’ve only got 5 warcraft characters. So it can’t be just the WoW pics. I just can’t figure out what to do and that frustrates me so =_____=
Oh! My Mom made the most wonderful mistake anyone can make! She was grocery shopping while I was at work and bought me another bag of coffee, only she bought coffee beans! I was so excited because with my bullet blender and all, I can effectively grind coffee beans into powder! I’ve always wanted to grind my own coffee beans. I’d only heard that it makes the coffee so much better. And boy did it ever. I am so glad she made that mistake, and I hope that we can make it more often.
I’m boared...I wanna play Katamari...and talk with Scamp...and hang out with my ‘Mouto-chans...Grr.

Writing in Advance
2006-Dec-05, Tuesday 10:31 amYesterday, after hastily posting that last entry, I did managed to glance at my friends page. Unfortunately, it was almost time to go, and I knew that I wouldn’t be able to do a thorough reading as much as I would enjoy it. In what little time I had left, I did manage to copy and print out the last entries of
wotcherscamp and
rattgirl . I didn’t get the chance to read it till later that night, but it made me feel more connected...even though I’m not -_-
I finally got my PS2 in yesterday afternoon. I was surprised at how very small and lightweight it is. So, I glanced at the instruction manual and thought I had a general idea of how to hook it up. I set it on the shelf that holds my VCR and proceeded to try and move the TV so that I could see the ports in the back...The shelf that my loving father put up for my TV, is scrawny and weak. It’s bowing in the center (where the TV is), and it moves with every little nudge I give the TV! Of course this has me frightened that it’ll fall or break the shelf in two if I try to fool with it. All that boils down to that I do have my PS2...but I’ve no real way of playing it as I can’t figure out how to install it without moving the TV. There were some of those Audio/Video ports in the front of the TV, but I tried to plug it into those and still, it didn’t work -_- I am defeated. I’ve decided to ask my Dad to make another shelf. One more sturdy that doesn’t look like it’s about to break. Of course, he’s two weeks from coming in, so I’ll just have to do without till he does come in. I might try hooking it up to the TV in the living room, if only to experiment and see if I actually know which cables to hook up to which ports O.o It’s been ages since I had a gaming system, and I’ve forgotten how to hook them up.
I also received the other package yesterday and though I did have a rather large sulk-fit at not being able to install the PS2 properly, I consoled myself with Pride and Prejudice, which was almost better than the first go-around. I find I’m more enamored with it now than I was when I first watched it, if that makes any sense at all. Some things just keep getting better as they go. I also skimmed through Races of Destiny, my new D&D supplement book. It’s very interesting and I find the only problem I have with it is that there just isn’t enough put into it ^_^ I also received The Mists of Avalon on DVD, which is actually a gamble that I took. I’ve never seen this movie, but I have wanted to for a very long time. I’ve yet to watch it, but I think I’ll try doing that tonight if I get the chance. Has anyone else seen this, and if so what were your opinions of the movie (and/or the book if you like)?
I didn’t get to sleep till around 1 last night and for two specific reason. One being that I had told Mom I would wash the permanent press, and had nearly forgotten it. I knew I couldn’t just wash it and get away with that so I waited till the washer was done, and then left the clothes in the dryer. Of course Mom didn’t really like that very much beings as she’s never satisfied with dried clothes unless they are immediately hung after they’ve finished drying =_= The second reason for my being up so late would be that I had printed out a list of Magic and the spells these different magics use, and then I had gone through it and edited it more to my liking (added and revising and such). As I had no internet coupled with plenty of time and a reason for staying up longer than I would (the clothes in the washer), I decided to go through the old document which was on this jump drive, and change the format to what I came up with on the edited paper. I am happy to report that the result looks much more organized and unified, even though there isn’t nearly enough on it. I was thinking of posting the table that I’d made in
That’s all for now. I’ll see if I can check in later in the day. Ja!
