So I went outside and I had been swinging for about 20 minutes... and then the right rope came unfrazzled, snapped, whatever, and I was dumped backwards into the dirt. My back hurt most, but it wasn't a "I've pulled a muscle" hurt but more of a stinging/burning hurt. Mom washed off my back because there were a lot of scratches and a bit of blood to go with them. The only thing we grow freely here in Arkansas would be rocks :) So... my landing wasn't exactly on the softest material. Anyway. I woke up really sore on the 19th. Luckily, I had didn't have enough time to tense up before I hit the dirt so the shock was absorbed all over as opposed to just hurting one area. Unfortunately.... I was hurt all over -..- My ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, and wrists, not to mention the back of my head. Everything just hurt.
... and then I went to Mom's. We hung around for a while watching TV. Then I got out her empty picture frame set, and we started going through pictures. Since there were only a few at her house, we decided to come over to mine and go through the enormous box of pictures we have here. We came up with an idea for a whole row of picture frames along this one wall, so we just gathered a ton of pictures she'd love to see framed.
Then, Mom left ... I don't remember why, but there was something she wanted to do. So, I hung about at my place, just watching movies and such. At some point I realized, I didn't have my cell phone. I knew that I had it whenever I went over to Mom's because I got a call from Jim saying that Reiko was out of surgery and doing well and all that... but after that, I couldn't remember having it at all. So, I assumed that I'd left it at Mom's house somewhere in the chair I'd been sitting in. So, I went over there and looked for it... but it wasn't there. So I came back here and looked for it... and it wasn't here either. So I went back over to Mom's and really went through every room I had been in. I upturned furniture, went through clutter, everything! But it wasn't there. I got Mom's cell phone and called mine, but I heard nothing. I came back here with Mom's cell and called while I looked, still nothing....
.....I have no idea where my cell is, and it's not ringing ;_; I thought that I had it turned up... but even when I call with Mom's phone, I don't hear it ringing. I'm hoping that when the battery starts to die, it'll make that noise and I'll hear it =..= I really don't know what else to do. The need to make cell phone finders for situations like this. I'm such a freak about keeping my cell phone really close and making sure the volume is turned up. It's driving me nuts that I can't find it at all!
So yeah...not much of a happy character at this point. I wish I could work up some optimism, but s'bloody hell week... so I just don't care =..= I've resolved not to post to Twitter until I've managed to resolve this cell phone situation... more so because I'm hoping for good news with a "FINALLY FOUND MY PHONE :D" post or something... but also because... I dunno. Going to Twitter will just remind me that I don't have my phone -..-
Other than all of this, I really have no news. Life sucks a bit and I'm being sulky because I can. :-| That's all for now. Later, Sunshines.

Well, I don’t know how weather is everywhere else, but it’s a bit cold here in Arkansas. We’ve had ice storms off and on for the past couple of days...or just during the night. I took a bunch of pictures today, because a lot of the trees and plants were frosted from the ice. I got a great one of Mom and Dad. There’s not a lot of wind though, so the cold doesn’t bite into you (it just slowly seeps in and stays for a good long while). There is a lot of fog though.
So, with Dad going offshore on the 23rd, our family is having Christmas on the 20th (this Saturday). I can’t wait. Breakfast will be tomato gravey and biscuits (something mommie got started my Mom on ), and then we’ll open gifts and spend the day together. Oh, that reminds me. I need to go in the basement and look through my movies. I need to find the Home Alone series ^..^ Tradition!
Ok, so! According to Mom, we have decided to drive down to Abbeville on the 23rd instead of the 24th like we’d originally planned. That’s the morning my Dad needs to leave for work, and Mom’s afraid if we stay any later, there’s be bad weather and we won’t be able to leave. So, Mom and Dad are going to depart in Dad’s truck, and Aunt Carolyn and I are going to be driving behind them in Sheila (Mom’s car). We’ll be leaving the house around 4 a.m. (seems to be a trend). Google maps has it as 9 hours and 42 minutes away (though it doesn’t give and take for bathroom breaks and food and such), so...Some time after 1 in the afternoon, we should roll into Abbeville...this plan, is slightly flawed as I see it. Firstly, Dad doesn’t need to go to Abbeville. If I remember correctly, he has to be in Pascagoula, MS...which, our rout is the same up until Little Rock, AR...but then it goes two different ways. I dunno. We’ll have to talk about it later. That’s the idea for right now anyway.
For some very odd reason, my check did not get deposited into my account last Friday like I thought it would. This is making me question how many checks I actually have left. I was thinking there’d be at least one left, but since I left half way through one week, I wasn’t sure if there’d be another. Either way, I was pretty certain another would be deposited. The problem now is that I’m running low on money. I’m so glad I got my Christmas shopping done...well, except for Mom, but her Christmas present is a joint effort. I e-mailed Donna at work to ask why the check didn’t get directly deposited into my account and how many I have remaining. I never was good at calculating -..-
Tonight was fun...well, it was at the end. The bible study is always good, but afterwards, Pastor Sam asked me to operate the sound booth. It seems to be my calling, and there’s no use trying to escape it. I was kinda thrown in there immediately upon my first visit. I’m so glad that I actually have experience in the area, otherwise I would’ve felt like a schmo. What I love about these people is that even if you screw up on something, they’re like, “Ah, it don’t matter! You’re doing great!” So...I’m glad that I am doing a great job, but I suppose even if I wasn’t they’d still make me feel good. This Sunday, they’re putting on a play/choir production thingy (of course, about Christmas!), and they wanted to practice it in full tonight. Pastor Sam pulled me in there and instructed me, “Now, the numbers we need are 27, 33, and 44. There’s space between each performance though, so you’ll have to stop it and then go through the entire thing to get to the right number.” So I looked at him kinda funny and said, “Why not just press the pause button?” and he looked at me and then it curiously so I demonstrated by showing him how you could play a bit of music and hit pause (which doubles as the play button) and then skip ahead and not have to go through the whole list, but just starting from the number you were just at. He says, “Huh! Would you look at that!” I looked at him and said, “I’m so much more than just a pretty face.” we laughed at that. So, not only did I manage the sound booth, I taught the pastor a new function of the CD player. Mom had wanted to leave early though , so she was kinda bored. I’d brought my laptop, so I tried to connect it to the internet for her, but the signal was weak. In the end, practice wasn’t long. So we just skedaddled when we could.
...ok, it sounds like a gaggle of teenage girls are outside on the road giggling at a very high, very annoying pitch (the kind that makes dogs and small animals cower?)...I suppose it could be an animal...but...I’ve never heard an animal make that noise (well other than a teenage girl).
Meh...I’m starting to get tired. I suppose I’ll be off to bed then. Goodnight, Sunshines.
My plans after work are to gas up my car, head home, pack up the car, shower, blow dry my hair, pack up those extra things, and then sleep. I don’t plan to wake up till 3. I’ll make a quick pot of coffee while I’m getting ready to go and then after a quick last-minute pack-up check, I’ll be off (with my coffee mug for help staying awake). I will (invariable) be calling several people throughout the day to a) appraise them of my status & b) spare myself from the inevitable boredom XD. If I don’t have your cell #, then you’re off’a da hook.
I know my parents have internet, but I don’t expect to be getting on that often. So…unless you’re going to text me, you may not get a hold of me right away. Oh! I finally got my new phone in! I wub it very much. I’m still trying to figure out everything about it, but I’m liking it so far. I officially got it yesterday and I’ve been going through my address book, and LOVING the features on it. I can add e-mails and phones lines (if one isn’t enough), Nickanmes, Birthdays, it’s awesome! Unfortunately, I usually forget that the date format is Day-Month-Year, and try to put more than 12 in the day section =..= I’ll get the hang of it. The rings are different…and there are a lot more of them than I had on my other phones, but I’m hoping I’ll be able to get some others, either from Bluetooth exchange or actually buying them.
I’ve been without internet since sometime Friday...But, I haven’t really had the time (or inclination) to fix it. And then Dad came down Monday, so I was distracted and couldn’t really tend to it. But, I finally got a message from Wal-Mart yesterday (and checked it at work) and they said that the stuff I’d ordered last month was ready for pick up. So I have a large bean bag, which is great as bean-bags go, and this enormous floor pillow, which I think totally rocks. It’s just awesome.
And though yesterday totally sucked at work, when I got home, my government check was waiting for me. It’s not much at all but that’s $500 I didn’t have before. Most of that will be going into my Savings account, but some will definitely be going into checkings if only to make things easier till the next pay day. I’m just so happy to have it though, because it really helps.
I cannot wait for this week to end. It’s like, it knows that we have a holiday Friday, so every other day is sucking…terribly. Monday and Tuesday were absolutely abysmal (at work at least)...so I’m hoping that things perk up…otherwise, drastic steps will have to be taken.
God…I need a haircut so bad...

OK, so hears what’s been happening. The 17th, is G’s birthday along with my Dad’s. I got a call from Mom that morning saying that my Uncle Bobby (who lives in Atlanta) had died that morning. On my Dad’s birthday his older brother died...not a great way to start a birthday, I tell you. Mom told me she was driving down and Dad would be coming in from the rig by boat (which is a long and arduous process). I checked the schedule, and knowing that G would be leaving for the remainder of the week to see her granddaughter graduate from basic training, I knew that there was no way I’d be able to take off. So I was going to be staying home this time.
Mom got to my house some time that night around 9 and had brought food. She went next door and got some sleep and so did I. I know Dad got in some time much later, but I was too tired from the emotionally draining day and just hit the hay. The next morning, my Aunt Tammy dropped off her dog, Max, and Dad popped over to say good morning and then goodbye. Once I had Max all situated, Mom and Dad got in their car and followed Aunt Tammy and the rest of the family on the way to Georgia.
Aside from having a house guest, not much really happened for the next couple of days. Friday, Mom and Dad got back from the funeral (which had been on Thursday). They called me just after lunch to find out where Max’s leash was so they could take him out for a walk ^..^
Around 4:45 I got a call from Kayla . She said that she and Renata and Celeste were going to World of Wings and then going to see Get Smart that night, and they wanted to know if I would come too. I told her I’d see if I could make it, as they were meeting at 6:30 and I got off at 5. I rushed home and told my parents what was up and they agreed that I should go. I pulled in to the restaurant parking lot (and it was so full) and I got a call on my cell. It was Kayla saying “Get your butt down here now!” which tickled me. I then told her I was in the parking lot. I joined them, but I really didn’t eat. In fact the only thing I ordered was a vanilla milk shake. We rushed off to the movie afterwards (as they were slow getting our food to us) and we all sat together up in the very top.
The movie was awesome, but I’ll wait to talk about that for a full movie review. Afterwards, we laughed and giggled about our favorite parts. In the parking lot, Kayla was like “I don’t wanna go home...” so we talked about it and decided to go to Starbucks. Renata couldn’t go…I think because her little sister Alyson was with her. But Celeste, Kayla and I enjoyed the coffee shop (me being very wary about the whole experience, as I’d never been to Starbucks before). We sat and talked till around 10:40, and then we all went home (after freezing inside the coffee shop).
Saturday and Sunday run into each other, as I was feeling absolutely terrible through both of them. Bloody hell week started on Saturday, and aside from getting Mom to “teach” me how to make one of her spaghettis (by filing her for my Cooking with Clara dvd), I did little but sleep. In fact, all Sunday I was napping…and nothing else.
Monday, I started my new duties, tending to the mail, though I had been doing that since Wednesday of the following week as G was on vacation. My days were full of mail and stats and checking files...so much so that I barely looked up long enough to check my own e-mail.
Oh, also, I finally got the book, Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. I’ve only gotten up to chapter 5, but I’m confident that I’ll have that book read before the movie comes out (since according to the IMDB profile, the movie won’t be out till December 12. It seems fairly interesting...even though I have a sneaking suspicion (mostly from Reiko’s excited ramblings) that I know what will happen. Still, if it’s good, I’ll get the other books ^..^ Or maybe...I’ll wait to see the other movies that come out and read the books after the movies…it’s always better that way.
Wednesday, Dad came in from offshore (again. I know) and he and Mom packed up, planning to leave the next morning for Ark. Mom knew that I didn’t like borrowing Cole’s (from work) phone, so she said she’d talked to my cousin Tammy. She said that Tammy had a razr that she didn’t need anymore, and would give it to me since I was having such phone troubles. I was excited about it, till I learned that it was a pink razr. But I got over it, reasoning that a good phone is still a good phone. And how many of my friends would have a pink razr? None of ‘em! Anyway, I headed out to church that night, and talked to Tammy. Turns out, she was still using the phone, and while she wouldn’t mind giving it to me, she’d need to convince her husband to upgrade first so she’d have one of her own. Celeste, who I’d been talking to before hand, mentioned that I could probably get a good quality phone off of eBay for much cheaper than it’s sold normally. So, this morning, I bought THIS. I’m pleased with it ^..^ Though, I have no idea what I’m going to name it. I’m thinking, it should be a girl name though. I’ll figure it out.
Other than that…I get paid tomorrow…but nothing else to report on. It’s rained here every day. Sometimes, so hard that the trees bend and there are white-out like conditions. I love it!

Saturday was good. Well, as good as it gets I suppose. I cleaned my house (sans doing dishes). And I put on Firefly watching it as Harvey vacuumed the floor. I actually finished the whole series. Reiko called sometime...it was late in the afternoon. She said she was at her parent’s place and she’d come by in an hour or so, if that was alright. Of course it was fine. I took my shower and dried my hair and all. Reiko dropped by and we watched the last bit of Tinman. We talked a bit and clowned around. She said she’d come to church with me the next day, and told me to call her.
Sunday, I called her around 9ish to make sure she was alive. We met up at church later and waited it out. Then...we had wings! We were gonna go to the official wing place, which is the embodiment of awesome, but they were not open. So we settled for WingStop. I got 20 Hawaiian and she got 20 Reg. Hot. And after gorging ourselves and watching Slayers Try, we suited up (I did at least) and jumped in her parent’s swimming pool. They have an above ground swimming pool…salt water, curiously enough, and we frolicked, played and lounged about in it for about 2 hours.
Then around 5ish, my eyes began to strobe. Dark motes were swimming over them and there was an intense pressure in my eyes. That, Ladies and Men-folk, is my body’s way of warning me that a migraine is imminent. I told Reiko goodbye and explained to her parents that it was just one of those things. I drove home, trying to focus as best I could on the road. I took a quick shower, ate some frosted-wheat cereal, and took a pill. Unfortunately, by then the migraine was in full flair, and even the pill I took was little relief at all. I have to say, this is by far one of the worst migraines I’ve had. My eyes hurt so bad, and there was a tremendous throbbing and pressure in my nose and along the back of my skull. I was sensitive to light, sound taste and my stomach was so upset. I had diarrhea too, and for someone who has IBS and bad bowels anyway, they know the difference between loose stool and water flowing through them. It was the latter for me, and there was little comfort or relief to be found. So, I laid up in my bed, where it was dark till around 7ish. I took some extra strength alieve then and it seemed to help a bit (no doubt that combined with the meds I’d taken early was enough to beat it down to slightly bearable).
I know I feel asleep...but I was woken up around 9 to the gentle tune of Sweet Home Alabama. My borrowed cell has that as a ring tone. It was Mom, calling to ask how things were…which was kinda funny….in that, “I’ll look back at this and it’ll be funny”, way... But at the time, it scared me out of my wits. We had a short talk, and she confirmed that Dad would be coming tomorrow some time. He would leave around 8ish, so he’d probably get here sometime around 9 Monday night. Which means, I really need to go to the store and get some tape to wrap his gift =..= I used to have rolls and rolls of tape, and then Mom decided to “borrow” it for the move. I never see tape again.
Anyway...I realized it was 9 and I hadn’t taken my regiment of pills. So I took them, and then passed out. Slept great, too. I could still sleep actually...There’s a lingering effect of drowsiness along with this pressure in my head that increases when I stand up and walk around. Not pleasant, but since I work sitting down, typing, not totally debilitating. Dad will be down around 9 tonight, but other than that, I have no plans tonight. Other than giving him his gift. I hope today goes smoothly and I can actually last the full work day. Those migraines are starting to become more common, and they make it impossible to sit up straight, much less get anything accomplished.
