International > Regional
2009-Aug-10, Monday 07:18 pmSo here we are...At the Springfield-Branson International Airport... Talk about some serious twists and turns >..< OK, so we got a call from Dad when he was in Dalas, and he said he'd be at the Springfield-Branson Regional Airport. So we put that into Gracie (Mom's GPS), and she lead us straight to it... problem is, the Springfield-Branson Regional Airport is closed and has been since they opened up the Springfield-Branson International Airport. Anyone else confused? We were. Especially since it didn't show up on Gracie AT ALL! Mom and I were fit to be tied. Luckily, while we were roaming through the Regional's empty parking lot, we came across someone. We asked them where the airport was if this one was closed and he was kind enough to point us to an airport sign that lead here.
Anyway. They have internet :D! So yea. I'm satisfied. At least it wont just be looking at my empty notebook and being too dang tired to write. We're not quite sure about when Dad's supposed to get in...it was supposed to be 7:05ish, but then he had a 40 minute delay -..- Yah. So, they have a 7:55 coming in from Dalas, and we assume that he'll be on that one. It should be from gate 10. If not...we'll just have to see won't we? I've already opened up Mako-kun, and I've got my earbuds pluged into him and I'm listening to soothing music while I type :3 Sometimes, I'm so spoiled.
I guess I'll write later. Ja-ne, Sunshines!

Youth July Transformers 2 Excursion
2009-Jul-15, Wednesday 04:45 pmOK! So... I'd better hurry up and write about this last Youth Excursion... before I totally forget about it -..- So, we uh... we really left very late in comparision to what we had said. We had wanted to originally leave around 9:30ish... but then we realized Lamarr would be at camp, so we'd have to wait for him. Bro. Sam assured us that he'd be back with Lamarr around 10:30, so we decided to wait.
Alicia showed up at my house around 10ish, with a light headach. I gave her some aleve and it helped after a while. We left to pick up Takara and Timmy (aka Penny, because that's never gonna get old) around 10:15.... we got to the church around 10:45... and no one showed up until about 11:30 >..> Yeah... so we were sitting at the hot church for a while waiting. But the church van pulled up with Lamarr, and no sooner had Bro. Sam parked than Billy, Jesse and Julian showed up with Buddy in tow. >..< We were less than thrilled for having Buddy with us as he is the most obnoxious teenage boy I've yet to meet, but we bore it well I think.
So yeah, we got on the road, and most of the kids had actually brought CD players and such, so we let them entertain themselves... that didn't stop them from driving us nuts, as Budy and Jesse found much pleasure in singing Jason Mraz's I'm Yours... over and over and over again. I swear, they sang it about 5 times on the way up and probably as many times on the way back. I used to like Mr. Mraz's music... Now, I really don't care if I get his CDs any time soon =..= Thanks a lot, boys.
Anyway.... Alicia had a gift card to Staples... and it was going to expire at the end of the month... so we had already decided to go there first. At first everyone was kinda annoyed because they figured, office store=nothing to do for them. But... then they got all jazzed about the office chairs and started playing on the laptops and such. I've no idea what Alicia got since I was in charge of wrangling the kids while she shopped (how the heck did she talk me into that? Gosh I'm too nice), and I was the lucky one who found a laptop with internet connection... I tested it by checking my FaceBook :D I probably should've put 'wrangling teenagers in Staples' in my update box but oh well.
After they played some games on the laptops and Alicia got what she wanted, we headed over to Applebee's, because somehow we'd all gotten hungry o..o' So, we waited for about 15 minutes at Applebee's and they finally seated us. We had all decided to do the 2 meals for $20. Not surprisingly, all the boys (plus Alicia) got their fire pit bacon burger. Takara tried the 3 chees chicken pene that I had tried before, and I got the double crunch shrimp. There were 2 orders of the mild buffalo wings and 2 orders of mozerella sticks too... We made short work of our food, though it took a lot to eat as much as we did. Since we couldn't afford to get a full dessert, we told them they could get those dessert shooters. Seriously, some of these kids were so sheltered... a few couldn't tell the difference between what was alcoholic and what wasn't o..o it was ammusing.
It was around 1:45 then, and we decided to head on over to the landing and just walk it off and shop at stores and such. Alicia and I both got Takara's cell and Buddy's cell so that we could stay in touch at all times. My first text to Billy was, "I will eat your unhappyness!! ... we're going to walk the landing, so text us if you need us :)" ^..^
Naturally, the boys wanted to go off on their own, so we went with T to Hot Topic first (she was positively gagging to see all the New Moon stuff :D). We killed time there, and I really wanted to buy a Slytherin shirt... or maybe something from their Charlie the Unicorn collection, but we saw that they had Transformers gear too, so I was all over that. I got myself an old-school G1 Optimus Prime girl shirt :3 I wub it. After Hot Topic, we went to the restroom (and I changed my shirt while I went), then we went to a store called Justice (just for girls). T seemed to enjoy that store, but she couldn't really afford anything... but we still spent about an hour looking at stuff there. Then... we went to one of my favorite places ^..^ Earthbound Trading Company. They have tons of different things and I just love to look around. There was this lovely dress that I wanted so bad. of course, it was $36 and I couldn't see wearing it anywhere but around my house... so I resisted that temptation... didn't stop me from staring at it longingly every time I passed by. But we took our time walking around and looking at the stuff in there.
It became very apparent that we perhaps hadn't thought this through well. It was perhaps the hottest day of the week, we had several hours before we had to leave (we'd agreed to meet at 7:30 at Bass Pro to leave), and we were wearing black. Not to mention my syatica was really starting to hurt and Alicia's not really built for walking much with her knee and all. So we texted the boys and asked if they wanted to head to Books-A-Million because we certainly wanted the comforts of AC. We ended up waiting for them all to gather around Bass Pro and asked if they wanted to head to B-A-M early. They relented, and we learned that the boys met up with another friend of theirs (Heath) while they were walking. So, we told them that B-A-M was between Best Buy and Petco, and they pretty much agreed to go. Heath had come in his own car, so he followed us out.
Books-A-Million was nice and refreshing. We sat, I found volume 1 of Skip Beat and just read it. Takara and Alicia were around reading too, but we were all quiet and just enjoying our books and the AC. The boys had split up and gone into Best Buy and Petco... but Buddy kept coming and bothering us. He say's to Alicia, "I've always wanted one.." and I responded with "A personality?" and he says, "No! A python! Can I buy one and bring it home?" ... Alicia and I pretty much said "No." at the same time =..= Good Lord. Go and ask your Dad that first because ultimately, he's going to be the one that has to put up with it. He went off after that and left us alone. But closer to 7, I decided to get a drink from Joe Mug or whatever that place in there is called. I got a caramel Frappe, and it was awesome :D Heath and Billy joined us (for reasons still unknown) and Heath asked if it was good... so I let him taste it and he liked it so he got one himself. He sat it down on a table and went to get a straw, so I snatched it up and hid behind a mug display :D and He looked over at Billy like "ok... who took it?" and I couldn't help but laugh like Muttly so I gave him his drink back. But it wasn't long till we had to head back to the van and make tracks to the Imax :)
So... Buddy and Billy decided they wanted to ride with Heath... which was fine with us really. So, we made our way over there... and about a half mile away from the place, I noticed Heath pull over. We didn't really think anything of it... but then when we got there, I went and bought another ticket (we'd bought 9 originally for the showing earlier that day that way we'd have our tickets, but with Heath joining us, we knew he'd need one too). I texted Billy to ask if they'd gotten lost or something. He said they were going to jail O..O' So, I asked if he was serious and he asked if we'd bail him out. I responded with 'No! I'll sell your ticket!' So he said that he wasn't kidding and that Heath had been caught with stolen goods >..>' Heath? White-bread Heath? Stolen goods? I think not. I called him and said if they weren't there in 5 minutes, we'd sell their tickets. Aaaand it was then that they walked up. It was funny though, because I closed my phone, and Billy (who's standing right behind me now) says, "Hey... she hung up on me!" and Jesse who's sitting right in front of me says, "Dude... she's sitting right there." Billy followed that up with 'oh'.
I gave Heath his ticket and I went to stand in line. The kids all went and got their on concessions and such while I held their space. Now, I should mention that it was around 8ish now. The line had already started to form too, one wrong of the maze was already full. We had been told to get there around 8:15, because that's when seating would start. ........ We waited in line until 8:57 -..- The boys were upset about that mostly, though Alicia and I had more reason to be as we were hurting from standing so much >..< But finally, we got in. We all dispursed, Lamarr found a seat at the very top, Alicia and I were perhaps 10 seats away from him, and everyone else was more towards the center. We could very easily look down and see them. They seemed very content to play games with another group of much yonger kids that had sat nearby.
Around 9 the lights dimmed....and the sound started...but there was no picture >..> The projectionist (Jerry) had to restart the projectioner (a process that takes roughly 30 minutes)... So, our kids entertained themselves by playing audacious games of rock-paper-scissors (which mad much more than just the three mentioned in the game such as dinomite and volcano) doing the wave (and many people joined in) playing Marco Polo with the kids near them, aaaand stomping/claping out the tune to 'we will rock you'. Finally, at 9:37, the previews started. Now, this is Transformers 2, and it's really awesome. But it's also 2 and a half hours long. When it was finally over at 11:58, I flet like the hem of my jeans had been burned into my legs =..=
We gathered the kids up and got them in the van. It took us a while to get back to the church, and then Alicia and I got in my car and took Timmy, Takara and Lamarr home. Then, since she'd left her car at my place, I took Alicia to my place where she left. It was 1:32 when I got home. I showered really quickly and hit the sack around 2 am. I have to say, it's the first time in a long time that my alarm clock/cell phone has woken me up! I always wake up at least 30 minutes before it's about to go off, and this time I was conked out and snoozing when it went off... which caused a "huh, wha, heeey!" reaction.
This has been my account for the July Transformers 2 Youth Excursion :) I hope it's been entertaining. I have posted what few pics I took up to FaceBook, if you wanna look at 'em. Now... I should probably eat before I head off to church. I'll type later, Sunshines.
Back-Peddled Schedule But Still On Track!
2009-Jul-10, Friday 10:28 pmOK! So... Uh, Alicia called and said that she'd called the pastor about Lamarr, and Bro. Sam said he'd have Lamarr back around 10:30.... so we agreed to push the meet time back from 9 to 10:30 so that Lamarr can come. I'm so relieved too. I really had hoped that Lamarr would be on this trip since I knew he was the most eager to see the movie.
Yeah, I totally got that bit of news 3 hours ago. I texted Twitter then promptly got distracted by Hook and just forgot to post here -..- Tomorrow should be interesting :D
I'll be Tweeting a lot tomorrow, but I promise I'll write an entry about the whole affair... it might take a day or so, but I will write about it :3

... really, I expected more than that <..<' I'm seriously beginning to doubt the validity of this quiz >..>'

What day is it? It’s …Thursday, right? Good God...I’m telling you, in a off the beaten path country home, time stands still. If you don’t have something to divert you, it all runs together and you forget what day it is and what the heck’s going on.
So, Reiko got up here safe and sound (though there’s always some question about just how sound she is). She and her mom and dad all stopped in a resort town called Fairfield Bay, which is about an hour and a half southeast of here. Scamp and her peoplez actually went to my Aunt Lane’s house. I know the power went out and at some point, their generator went out too, but evidently it’s back up and running. I’m sure since it’s farther north, the power will be resorted soon.
I had a bit of a way-side adventure yesterday. Reiko had told me that she and her dad were heading down Wednesday morning, and that if I wanted to, I could go with them. She figured we might not be able to get back into Houma, but her house in Hammond (Robert) would be reachable. We could bunk there till we could come down. So, I packed up most of my stuff (forgetting a lot =..=) and headed over to meet them. We all went to Wal-Mart and stocked up on the essentials we’d need (potted meat, water, gas cans, and for me and Reiko granola bars and pop tarts). Well, after checkout, I get a call from my mom (who was really upset that I we were leaving so soon), and she said that the mayor said not to even bother coming back till Friday; and, that power would not be restored for up to 2 to 3 weeks! So, that was very discouraging, but her opinion was what clenched it. She said she didn’t want me going down there when it was still a disaster zone, that it was her birthday and she wanted me here where it was safe. So...I sold Reiko and her dad my gas cans and potted meat, and came home. Reiko was a bit upset about this (not as upset as she was about my driving though >..>) but she got over it and I came back here.
…And now Mom and I both have some freaky sinus infection that we’re fighting =..= Reiko called sometime…the other day…and said that they had decided not to leave. That she was feeling sick with a sinus infection too, and they’d gotten the bulletin about not being able to go back till at least Friday. So, now they’re planning on leaving tomorrow morning.
I called Blue Bird (my boss), and asked her if they’d evacuated or if they were alright. She said that they’d made it to Baton Rogue, but the hurricane hit just as badly there. I told her my mom wasn’t allowing me to leave till it was safe, and she said, “Oh no. No don’t leave at all. They’re not letting anyone back in and there’s no power.” So, she has my private e-mail, and she’s going to e-mail me updates, but other than that, I’m not really worried about work. I also called Cole, and she said that her family was heading back today (I think her hubby manages one of the power plants). She said to call her Saturday before I even thought about coming so that she could give me updates first. I also called my energy provider asking if they had an estimate for when my area would have power. They told me to call back Friday. So…here I am. Can’t go home and no idea when I’m gonna be heading that way anyway.
I don’t have a TV or anything in my room here, so the only thing I can really do is read. I brought Breaking Dawn and The Host by Stephanie Meyer. Both of them are great books, and I’ve enjoyed reading them over and over…and over..and over again. Unfortunately, I’ve dang-near memorized them and…well, after 50 times, it becomes a little old. I did buy the 3rd season of Supernatural today. I got it at Wal-Mart, because I figured “Why not?”. Of course, no private TV to watch it on..so. Yeah. I’m stuck admiring the pretty pictures on the cover (and man, are they pretty ^..^). And, I did a recent search, and Bones season 3, is available for Preorder. Of course, it won’t be coming out till November 18, but still. It’s something to look forward to.
This…whatever. Sickness or whatever you want to call it, is seriously fooling with me. I’m so tired and disoriented and…just miserable. I just want to be in my own home. I love Mom, and Aunt Carolyn is alright, I just like being on my own too much. I like having my space and my stuff and my routine. Here...if I don’t feel like watching HGTV for a 24 hour period or switching over to the Hallmark channel, I really have nothing to do. So yeah….No way to entertain myself away from the fact that I’m miserable. If I wasn’t feeling bad, then none of this would really bother me so much. But I am..so. Yeah.
I guess I’m just gonna go ahead and sign off now. There’s really nothing more to update on (that my frazzled mind can recall). I’ll talk to ya’ll later, Sunshines.

Severe OCD (but the ADD still strikes!)
2008-Aug-27, Wednesday 01:49 pmOK! So, this morning, I surprised myself with how very effective (yet still absentminded) I can be. As usual, when I have a trip to plan for the day that I’m planning to leave, my brain goes into severe OCD mode. This morning, before eating breakfast, I made coffee, straightened my hair, put the towels on to wash, got dressed, put Zeiss on to charge, updated TomTom’s maps, put the towels on to dry, checked my MySpace one last time, and headed in to work knowing that everything that wasn’t packed was stacked neatly near my suitcase, waiting to be hung up or go in bags. Of course, I forgot my lunch...but G was great and bought me some lunch (with the full promise that I will be buying Samurai Dragon for us next Friday).
My plans after work are to gas up my car, head home, pack up the car, shower, blow dry my hair, pack up those extra things, and then sleep. I don’t plan to wake up till 3. I’ll make a quick pot of coffee while I’m getting ready to go and then after a quick last-minute pack-up check, I’ll be off (with my coffee mug for help staying awake). I will (invariable) be calling several people throughout the day to a) appraise them of my status & b) spare myself from the inevitable boredom XD. If I don’t have your cell #, then you’re off’a da hook.
I know my parents have internet, but I don’t expect to be getting on that often. So…unless you’re going to text me, you may not get a hold of me right away. Just so’s everyone knows ^..^ I guess that’s all. If I need to know something, text me or make sure you get it to me before 5 this afternoon. Kthxluvsya. Later, Sunshines.
Your result for The Nerd? Geek? or Dork? Test...
Computer Savant
![]()
A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.
A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.
A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.
You scored better than half in Geek and Dork, earning you the title of: Computer Savant.
People confuse you with a Nerd all of the time. You aren't some genius, like some people have said, and didn't/don't really like school all that much (and you especially hated some of the social aspects, like getting mocked). It's just that you have some passions and interests that you're extremely into/good at, and this has placed you in circles with other social outcasts, some of whom are exceptionally bright.
The awesome thing about being where you are is that you get to hang out with an elite group (though you'd probably rather be alone, or with only the closest friends and family) and you can make quite a good career for yourself in your particular specialities. Common to this group are people who are highly into electronics/computers as that is where the money lies, today.

Moving in Slow Motion =..=
2008-Aug-20, Wednesday 02:36 pmHanging out with Chibi is like smoking marijuana without all the harmful side effects (there are side effects to Chibi’s presence, they just aren’t usually harmful). Last night, we consumed sushi and watched more Supernatural. After an episode, Dad called and said he was in Biloxi and would probably be home in two hours O..O’ So, we watched and waited. Dad got there around...9ish. I think. Or it was close to 9. Chibi couldn’t stand the cliff hanger we left off on, so we watched one more episode (Dad can sleep through anything, so he just crashed in my spare room), and that put us seeing Hunted last. I did tell her a lot of what happened in certain episodes and stuff...but, only because I know she might not see me anytime soon (and God only knows when she’ll manage to watch the rest…unless I get it for her for her birthday…). I didn’t get to sleep till well after 11 =..= So excessive doses of Chibi causes massive giggling, ridiculously silly jokes, and extended euphoria...quickly followed by sleep deprivation and eventually exhaustion.
Anyway! Woke up this morning feeling exhausted and wishing I’d been able to sleep more. But, I got up. Dad got up. I got ready and ate breakfast. And then, I drove to work with Dad. After we got here, Dad took the car and went to shop around for tires and get the battery checked and everything. He picked me up for lunch, and we went to Arby’s. He pointed out that I had brand new tires (and I was a happy bunny). The lunch was pleasant…at first. When we were leaving, we saw a lady on the sidewalk just laying there in a pool of her own blood. Not a nice sight. We immediately rushed back in to say that someone was hurt outside, and the manager at Arby’s said there was a medic in the building (really?). When the medic started tending to her, we left, knowing we’d only be in the way. Evidently she tripped and when she hit the pavement, she blacked out.
Then we went to Circuit City, because I hd 30 minutes left to my break, and Giggles told me she got her husband’s car stereo there, and it wasn’t as expensive as the clods at the Ford place had quoted me and they install. So, I went in to price the cd/radio thingies and ask my questions. I have to set up an appointment to get it installed in my car. But, after looking around on line, I’ve found the one I want. It’s the Jensen Phase Linear 160W Car Stereo…and not just because it’s the cheapest (or because it's named Jensen ^..^). It just has everything that I need, so I see no reason to pay more for any of the other ones. I see nothing wrong with the product or price so…that’s it. I’m gonna call and make an “appointment” to get it installed in my car…I’m hoping for Friday…but we shall see. If not then, it’ll have to be Monday or Tuesday (…I dunno if they’re open over the weekend…I’ll have to ask!). It's just good to know that everything in my car is going to be taken care of...even if I will owe my parents over $500 for it =..= I'll pay 'em back too. It might take a while, but I will.
I’m leaving next week...I have a note on my calendar to pack Monday =..= So, OCD of me. Oh…and Reiko’s leaving for GA at the end of this week! She’ll finally get to see her man...but, I won’t be seeing her for a while. But at least she’ll be happy.
…I want today to be over so that I can sleep =..=’ That’s so very sad. I feel like I’ve been going in slow motion all day…well, for the past few days actually. I am looking forward to my Aunt Carolyn’s fried fish for supper, and seeing Celeste tonight at church. With Chibi down, I totally missed Sunday night…so yeah. I’m over-due.
I can’t think of anything else, and I should most likely get back to my work…later, Sunshines!

Dancing to Crank That in Eversong!
2008-Apr-21, Monday 12:13 pmSaturday, I woke up to Mom banging on my door. I stumble downstairs (in all my frazzled glory) with the good sense to wrap a blanket around myself before I open the door. She’s gotten a call from Grand’Mere asking if we’d like to go to Grand Isle. We’ve done it before and I took a bunch of pics. Well, I quickly got ready and went next door for breakfast (I really didn’t have much for breakfast at my house). Then we headed to McDonalds, because after shredded wheat, I was still hungry. Then we picked up Grand’Mere and headed out. I took crappy footage of everything we did and we ended up with a two hour DVD of our trip…yay! But it was fun.
That night I got on WoW and Mat was on. We got on voice chat and we both made each other laugh so hard, I was hurting the next morning. I don’t even remember half of what happened…just that it was hilarious.
Sunday was...what happened Sunday? Ok, first there was church, and Mom had a migraine. She left early without telling me and I had to go looking for her. Got home and I wasn’t hungry so I just got on WoW. Scamp was on…and so was Mat. We went through…Shadow Fang Keep! Yeah! That’s what we did. We went through there and got those quests done. Then Scamp had to go…I don’t know where she had to go, but she did. After a bit, I realized that the laundry wasn’t going to do itself, and by that time I was hungry. So I got off for about 30 minutes to eat and do laundry.
Before I’d left, Scamp had said she would be back on Hothien in an hour. So when I didn’t see her, I was a bit surprised. I eventually texted her, and she got on. We did a lot of stuff in Deatholme...I’m not loving the Succubus that Wenny finally got. Wenny’s not loving her either. Her name is Anriel (which is very pretty) and…I dunno. She’s just not as good as Zangs (Wenny’s voidwalker)…then again, Wenny was awfully attached to her blueberry. We got a bunch of stuff done there, but Mom called and asked me to come over and help her with something. She gets so debilitated when she has those migraines, it’s hard to do anything. So, I told Scamp that I had to go and we set up to meet each other some time tonight.
I helped Mom with food and we just sat for a while and watched TV together. America’s Funniest Videos has always been sort of a tradition (along with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, but nooo Oprah was taking over the channel that night!). Eventually (I think it was around…7ish) I headed back home for the night.
When I’d come back home from Mom’s, I plugged my iPod into my computer to recharge it. And I finally decided to go ahead and buy a few songs from iTunes. It’s odd because, I only buy songs from iTunes when I don’t want to buy the whole CD. But I won’t download an entire CD because I want the physical CD (which I reason I can always rip). So which songs did I get? Which songs to I like, but am not willing to buy the CD they’re on…Cyclone – Baby Bash, A Bay Bay – Hurricane Chris, Lo – Flo Rida, Crank That (Travis Barker Mix) – Soulja Boy, and Do it To it – Cherish. That’s right; the “Dance” playlist on my iPod got a big boost Sunday night. I already have a couple of Destiny’s Child songs along with Usher, and Timbaland songs on that Dance play list. Then there’s the 90’s Club Dance CD I got…a few P!nk songs…and now those…I’m trying to think if there are any other songs I can get for my dance list ^..^ Any suggestions?
….Can’t think of anything else to post. So, I guess that’ll be all. Later, Sunshines!

Whirl-wind Weekend
2008-Apr-15, Tuesday 01:34 pm
Saturday was a dragging day. That morning, about 3 am, a big storm blew through, with thunder loud enough to shake my walls. The dogs are afraid of thunder and the dark, and it wasn’t like we could sleep anyway, so Scamp and I got up and tried to ride it out. It wasn’t that big of a deal when they saw we were calm and we had turned some lights on. We both went back to bed, and the next morning was just…laziness. We did nothing but watch movies, when we had planned on straightening up the house and all. No! I did get most of the laundry done…so that was something. Unfortunately the dogs continued on their annoying habit of barking at me every time I moved. It got old very quickly. Luckily, we weren’t moving that much.
Mom and Dad finally got home...they’d had a bit of footage on Zeiss. Turns out they decided not to buy the land they actually went there for because of there were just too many restrictions. But they did put a bid down on a house and some land there and that was what they had to show us. It was a nice house with 6 ½ acres of land. After watching it, Mom turns to me and says, “So what do you think?” I nod and say “It looks nice.” And she says, “We were thinking, maybe we could give you this house and we could build our own!” and I was like, “Uh..no.” no offense or anything, but this is land and a house they put money down for. I was in no way involved with the decision, so I don’t see why I should get stuck with a house they don’t even really want. Maybe that’s conceited, but I’m making a bunch of sacrifices for this move anyway. I’d like it if I could have as many choices.
Sunday, I woke up around 8 and went down stairs..and was greeted by loud barking. I squatted down and let Sandy smell me, but Teeshut would not be satisfied. He even bit me…twice. That’s when the barking became too much. Scamp calmed the dogs down and we both proceeded to get ready to go to Reiko’s house. We gated the bathroom and put the dogs there, and left as they screamed for us not to. After a 2 hour drive we arrived and we all went to lunch at Catfish Charlie’s in Harahan. It was a great meal and we got day-old biscuits to feed the ducks and turtles that were in the lake on the back deck. Then we went back to the house and watched another episode of Supernatural. J10 left for work early, and after finishing the episode we were on, we all went to the World Market in the Covington/Mandiville area. We stocked up on snacks from Japan (arigato!) and then we went down to Baskin Robins, which has become a tradition.
Meanwhile, J10 started calling Reiko on my phone, because he had hers. And he kept asking where she was and when we wouldn’t answer, he’d leave these dorky messages pretending to be an insecure boyfriend/stalker. We get in Baskin Robins and Reiko hands the phone back to me. It rings a couple times and each time I pick it up, there’s nothing but silence. At one point I say “Dude, there’s a kid in here. I can’t cuss you out, so stop calling.” The Baskin Robins girl told me to go ahead, they needed something to talk about later after all. Once the kid finally left, J10 called again, and I paused while I watched the kid walk away and then I got loud and say, “OK! The kid’s gone! I can cuss you out now!” There was a big guy at the counter, and when he heard that, he laughed and shook his head. It was funny. A minute later, after I’d handed the phone to Reiko, she starts saying “What do you mean, you can see me? You can’t see me!....sitting by the…how do you know I’m sitting by the window!?” and he pulls up into the drive-through =..= Twas funny though. Reiko says, “…it’s like he’s stalking me!” and I said, with sarcastic enthusiasm, “I know! This morning when you got out of the bathroom, he was there!” and she was like, “Yeah! In the bed! And his clothes were everywhere!” So we all ended up having ice-cream together. I thought it was funny ^..^
Then we went back to Reiko’s house and finished watching Supernatural. After that, we headed back home. It was early, but there were so many delays…we really didn’t get home early. The puppies were very happy to have their mom back, and Scamp took them out and had cuddles with them. Teeshut started with that barking every time I moved again, and he would rush towards me like he was going to bite me again, so I started rushing back at him and yelling “SHUTUP!!” at the top of my lungs…I find it works really well. In fact, Teeshut acts like he’s a bit frightened of me now, which doesn’t really bother me overly much.
Monday was a blur. I don’t remember anything that happened, I was just so very tired. I still am, but not as bad as Monday. I hardly talked at work, so the girls knew something was up. My left arm was killing me too. Scamp and I were thinking it might be because I carried a bunch of stuff around Sunday on that shoulder. What I do remember, besides the pain, is the premier of Bones. God, but I had missed that show. I can’t wait till the 3rd season comes out…along with the 3rd season of Supernatural. Although with the writer’s strike and how short those seasons were, I don’t know if they intend to lengthen them or…not. /shrugs.
Oh, and while I had been out coasting through work, Scamp cleaned up my house a bit and got my headphone-mic to work on world of Warcraft. She also worked my Rogue, Toxeus up to level 9.99. I got so tired last night that I was a little loopy. I slept hard last night too. But I’m still tired…though that’s not anything unusual.
I guess that’s all for now. I mean, lunch time is over and I can’t think of what else to write….sounds like good enough reason to stop to me! Later, sunshines.
