26 Today

2009-Oct-06, Tuesday 01:23 pm
msmoon: (MM's Crescent)

Been trying to post for a whole hour...but my brain really hasn't been working right =..= My birthday started off with a bang...mostly from the thunder but the lack of sleep's contributed :) Probably shouldn't be so happy about that, but I'm no where near sentimental on birthdays. So yeah...Anyway.

So yesterday, Alicia calls saying that her battery has died and she needs to be jumped off. Dad and I head over there to help, but if it hadn't been for the nice grounds keeper and his jump box, she would've had to call her dad. She came to my place and copied all the music that I had that she likes to a jump drive. But before she even started that, Mom hands me a card with a $50 iTunes gift card :D I love those types of presents. Srsly, pplz. Cash is just like CPR - it's the gift that keeps on giving.

Anywho. Alicia left...probably around 6ish... and I went on iTunes and bought 4 albums. I got
Vertical Horizon's Burning the Days, P!nk's Try This, the Children of Dune Soundtrack and the World of Warcraft Soundtrack.....and it took from then to 3 am to completely download everything =..='' Totally worth it, but boy....was I tired when that thunderstorm rolled in at 7:30 this morning and woke me up =..=

I was talking to Scamp in chat, and I was all excited because I have 3 of the 4 soundtracks for WoW now. She was good enough to remind me that the next expansion pack will probably have a sound track too <..< But, I have
World of Warcraft Soundtrack, World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Soundtrack and World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Soundtrack... I thought that the only available soundtrack left was World of Warcraft: Taverns of Azeroth ...but it turns out there's a new one called World of Warcraft: Mosaic Soundtrack too....but, I certainly have enough to last me...for now :)

Dad and I just got through setting up my entertainment stand too. It's little more than three two shelves that hold my TV, VCR and PS2, but it looks a good deal better than the four wheel dolly I had the TV on...Still, it's a monumental task, trying to figure out how it all goes together when you have no instruction -..-I need to take a few pictures of it just to make sure if I ever have to do that again, I'll have a visual reference.

Oh well. Today is my birthday, but we're not going to go out and eat or anything until Friday....we just have other stuff planned so yeah...we'll be going to Nakato Friday. That'll be fun. Both Reiko and our Pastor and his Wife called to wish me a happy birthday already, and that's more than I expected.

I'm so tired, still. Oh well. I'ma go ahead and sign off now. Talk to ya later, Sunshines.

You Fall for the Guy or Girl Next Door Type

You think that people make love too complicated, and what you want in a partner happens to be pretty simple.

You're content with someone who's nice, attractive, honest, and normal. So how come that's so hard to find?

You are fairly traditional, and you value security in relationships more than most people. It's important for you to find someone loyal.

When you find the right person, you don't expect much from him or her. You're just happy to be together.

msmoon: (Jesus Saves)

...ya'll remember that post a while back for
The First Nazarene Youth Lock-In? I remember reading something like 'So, we won't be doing another lock-in for a very... very.... VERY long time =..=' and now, I remember why I felt that way. Holy quadrupeds...

So! Yesterday I was a little upset. I woke up around 9ish, and I immediately got up and straightened my hair. I guess I just wanted to get that out of the way so that when I did decide to start my day, I'd be ready to go. Well, I'm laying in bed on Makoto-kun, when I hear a knock at my door. So, I go to see who it is (I figure it's got to be Mom or Dad)....it's Mom...and those people that are supposed to repair my trailer. The first thing I think is that I really wish they would've called ahead, since their main purpose is to replace my front glass door and MY ENTIRE KITCHEN FLOOR...=..= So, I go and get dressed and then head over to Mom's. I have towels to wash anyway, and that should occupy me until they've...fixed everything...at least. That was around 10:30 a.m.

At 2:30 I realized that I could not wait any longer to really get going. I asked Dad to go with me to the store and pick up some of the last minute things we'd need for the cooking that night. We did. The guys had pretty much laid my floor and repaired my door when I'd gotten back...but, we'd mentioned that the doors leak when it rains really hard, so they also put gutters above the doors, and they made sure that my fridge had everything it needed for the ice maker to work (I now has ice).

It was about 3:45 at this point. While they were still working, I hustled to get everything into Sheila (my parents car). I loaded up all the food...and then realized I'd forgotten the movies I was supposed to bring. So I loaded up that...and realized I'd forgotten the bottled water case I was brining. I couldn't think of anything else I'd forgotten, and at this point I had Harvey, my CD case, my purse with Calliope and all the food and drinks I was supposed to take. So, I got in the car and headed to church. Right as I crossed the highway to head to church, I realized I'd forgotten my camera =..= So! I headed for the church and unloaded everything.

Alicia had already been there as evidenced by the enormous football birthday cake for Justin/Buddy. Alicia pulled up not five minutes after I did, but as I know how to hustle, I'd had almost everything unloaded already. So! We made sure everything was as in it's place as it was gonna be until we started cooking...and then we got in Sheila and headed to the boys high school. They had a scrimmage game, which I'd never heard of before in my life (what? is 'practice' really not enough of a term for it?), and they'd asked us to come and watch. We had no problem with it, in fact it's somewhat relaxing to sit with a handful of people in those bleachers and watch the boys practice. There's no competitive edge to a practice, just a big show of approval for good plays :) We got there around 4:15/4:20 and we left an hour later at 5:20 to start cooking. We had our eye on Buddy, Jesse and Julian the entire time, so I made sure to call out to Jesse (the closest) and let him know we had to go and we'd see them later.

So, it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to get from the high school to the church, and the minute we got there, we started cooking. Or, I suppose I should say that Alicia did. She had brought 3 small indoor grills, and she got to work on the hamburger patties. I set out the lettuce, chopped an onion (a very large onion, whose scent still remains on my fingers) and five tomatoes. I made sure the buns, drinks, condiments and utensils were all presented on the counter and then, after Alicia was done with the burgers, I boiled up about 20 wieners.

People started showing up around 5:45ish I guess. Timmy, Takara and Lamarr all showed up, surprisingly enough...with their Bibles (which we awarded them points for :3). Next was Heath, one of the boys friends, who we all enjoy very very much. He's witty and nice, and he sat down and started playing Battleship with Lamarr (effectively keeping him out of our hair, which endears him to us that much more). Next, the pastor and two girls from Berryville showed up, Anna and Kristin I believe are the girls' names. Berryville, AR is about 40 minutes to an hour (depending on traffic and how you drive) away from Harrison, so we really didn't expect them to be early... Billy then showed up followed almost immediately by our own Pastor Sam. Star (Berryville's youth leader) showed up next with her boy Mike. The boys who were at practice(Jesse, Buddy, Julian and a friend who's name is John but they call JBAZ...) showed up right as I was setting the wieners out. We had Pastor Paul pray and then there was much eating. We had plenty of food left over, but that was sorta ok, because we were going to be eating most of this throughout the night.

So, we all ate and talked and enjoyed one another's company (some of this included playing PS3 games -..-) until about 9. Around 9 the pastors left and we started our movies :) I got in the sound booth and started playing a bit of music to signal that movies would be starting soon. The rest of Berryville (Emily, Summer, and a few others that I don't even know really) showed as we were staring the move, and we started out with Open Season. Oddly enough, that was perhaps the best movie of the night...I say that, because it's the only movie that everyone watched and enjoyed together.

After Open Season was Twilight, T's pick. That was when people started to filter downstairs to play games and just talk with each other. As long as one of the 'chaperons' were there, it was ok. Not everyone is a Twilighter like some of us, so we kind of expected some of them not to enjoy the movie. So half the crowd filtered down stairs and the rest either payed attention...or fell asleep.

Billy had brought Evil Dead III which he wanted to be shown with the copy of Army of Darkness that I'd bought for them. Unfortunately, we couldn't find Evil Dead... so, we looked everywhere for it, but it wasn't turning up... so we watching The Dark Knight.... and I really, really don't understand kids these days. I mean, Batman is always awesome, right? These new Batman movies are freakin' epic. And somehow, some of the kids fell asleep during the movie. Now, you may say, "wait a sec, it was after 2 in the morning!" ... That's no excuse! What was really weird is that some of the kids left >..> It was just...weird for me.

The movie ended around... 4:30ish in the morning, and the kids filtered out (them as wasn't sleepin). Alicia and I looked about and kinda figured 'huh...looks like they aren't as enthused about the movies.' So we'd sorta decided to informally shut down. We went down stairs, I had a cup of coffee and we tried to do something to keep our brains going. Around 5, Billy asked if we could watch Army of Darkness. Alicia was tired and soar at this point, and really didn't fee like it, so I told her I'd go ahead and start it up. The boys had ranted and raved about these movies, and I was only a tad bit curious.

...... OK, it stars Bruce Campbell right? And it's a Sam Raimi film...anything with a Raimi name on it (or in it) I'm willing to watch. But holy crap....After watching it all, Billy says, "So, did you like it?" and I replied with, "That has to be the worst movie I've ever seen." and he was like, "Really?!" I went on record saying "Doomsday was better." But...now that I've thought about it.... That was a good movie. Not in the, 'gather the family around, this'll be a treat!' type of good movie. But it's like...slapstick horror. I'm guessing when they said it was a funny movie with zombies and such in it... I was thinking it'd be something like Monty Python or even like Robin Hood: Men in Tights (best movie ever). It was just.... man... they just don't make them like that any more. It was like...there really is nothing that it was like, ok? It's just one of those movies that is funny and scary and terrible and it's funny because it's terrible, with enough plot holes to dismantle a convoy of 18 wheelers....

So! Our tally of movies (in total) comes to ...

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (LI1)
Iron Man (LI1)
Mortal Kombat (LI1)
Mortal Kombat Annihilation (LI1)
Open Season (LI2)
Twilight (LI2)
The Dark Knight (LI2)
Army of Darkness (LI2)

It appears that we can ever only fit in 4 movies in one lock-in <..< hm.

But anyway. So... yeah, then... there was breakfast. Alicia made breakfast casserole...which is biscuit on the bottom of a pan with egg, cheese and sausage on top, put in an oven and baked... Immediately after breakfast, there was cleaning. The kids seemed content to stay in the Youth room and play PS3 games but mostly talk a lot. I remember hearing them discussing the various pokemon and their different levels at one point and thinking, 'Yeah, the kids are fine...' I set Harvey to work in the sanctuary and tried to get everything I could think of that was mine out of the sound booth and down to my car. I ended up forgetting things, like, a million times.... I swear, I went up and down those stairs about 7 times in one hour =..= But, I made sure the sanctuary and sound booth were presentable and left Harvey to do his job. I did help Alicia a bit with putting things in their proper place in the kitchen, at least as much as I could. But I was about dead and ready to drop... so Alicia just told me to leave Harvey and that she'd put him away somewhere in the sound booth for me. I packed up my car and just came home. I totally forgot my camera and texted Alicia telling her to put that in the sound booth for me too.

When I got home, my front door was open, but not my screen door. Mom and Dad were installing a washer and dryer in my utility nook :) Dad had bought Mom a new washer-dryer set, so I got her old one! Which is awesome, because it means I don't have to haul all my stuff elsewhere to get it washed :D I would've been thrilled and very excited...but I was dead on my feat, doing a fabulous impersonation of the zombies on Shaun of the Dead (if I don't say so myself).

After Mom and Dad got the stuff as situated as they were going to get it (Dad needs one more part before it's fully installed), I took a shower and then ate a bit and took half of one of my muscle relaxer pills and then I think it was about... 10:30ish... I dozed until I heard some weird noises... Poked my head out my bedroom door to see Dad and Pastor Sam working on the dryer again. Murmured something and then shut the door and went back to sleep. I slept until around 7:30....I'm not as sore as I was (thank God for muscle relaxers =..=) but I still feel drugged.

I got up though, right around 8 and fixed something to eat. I found Evil Dead III >..> It was in with the books that Alicia had borrowed from me. She returned them to me right about the time Billy handed me the movie. So now we know where the movie disappeared to =..= And, I sorta figured...since I had it and I'd already seen Army of Darkness, why not watch Evil Dead while I ate? So I did :3 I can say, now that I've learned to appreciate the brand of movie, I didn't hate it.

...and now, oddly enough, I've every intention of taking my pills and going to bed =..= I'm still zonked. So, Goodnight, Sunshines.

OK! So... Uh, Alicia called and said that she'd called the pastor about Lamarr, and Bro. Sam said he'd have Lamarr back around 10:30.... so we agreed to push the meet time back from 9 to 10:30 so that Lamarr can come. I'm so relieved too. I really had hoped that Lamarr would be on this trip since I knew he was the most eager to see the movie.

Yeah, I totally got that bit of news 3 hours ago. I texted Twitter then promptly got distracted by Hook and just forgot to post here -..- Tomorrow should be interesting :D

I'll be

Soooooo, I had an interview this morning. It was for a small part-time position at the local library. It doesn't look like I'll be getting the position though. When I got there, I was surprised when I walked into the office and there was this enormous tabby cat laying on the desk. The lady said the cat was Prince... evidently one of the library cats. o..O I didn't know libraries could have cats... but it seems like a nice idea. But anyway. She asked why I'd quit Hancocks and AMC, and I said because I couldn't stand on my feet all day due to a persistent back injury. Well, turns out the entire 7.5 hour shift is supposed to be on your feet, not to mention carrying books (lifting and bending and such). She and I talked for a bit more, and she thanked me for my honesty and said that if she needed a sub, she'd call me to do a day shift... just to see if I could handle the work. /shrug. You win some, you loose some.

After that, I went by the Revenue office, which is where I got my Arkansas license plate. Alicia pointed out to me the last time we got together that my license plate was missing the month sticker o..o so I went there and told them they'd forgotten to give me said sticker. The lady was happy to give me one. Then I nicked on home.... it looked like it was going to rain a bit, so I went and got all my clothes and towels and put the towels on to wash at Mom's house (Mom's supposed to get a new washer and dryer and I'll get her old set :3).

And while my towels were drying, Alicia showed up o..o' She wanted to show me that she had found out that Transformers 2 was playing at the Imax in Branson. She stayed for a bit and then left to clean the church. It was sprinkling a bit, but I folded my towels and brought them over to my house. Then I got on the mower and cut the grass for the Rent's front and back yard as well as part of my own :) It really didn't take long at all, and when I was done, I packed up my clothes (which had dried by this time) and brought them back home. Then I took a shower.... oh... showers are so awesome ~..~

... I put some incense on to burn... I tell you, I had 2 types of incense before I moved here, Sandalwood and Sex on the Beach (which, can't possibly smell anything like said activity). But, we were at the country mart grocery store, and they had some incense there that I hadn't tried before. So I decided to buy the two sample packs they had. One has five sticks of each, the Patchouly, Nag Champa (both of which I have no experience with), Vanilla, Ocean, Rain, and Opium ..... the last of which I found very bizarre. The others with the exception of Vanilla are very nice. Nothing terribly special mind you, but nice. The other sample pack had like 10 sticks of Orange, Lavender and Sage. I've gotta say, the Sage smells excellent, Lavender too really. Orange...not really so much. Oh, and I got a pack of Jasmine, which smells amazing. I really find that I enjoy burning incense. Dad hates it. So... I burn it a lot when he's offshore -..-

Aaaand tomorrow is the Youth Excursion thingy. And all I can think about is how much I wish I could get some sushi =..= I've only been wanting it since the Mom&Me Branson trip was canceled for the lake trip. Takara did call, and she said that she and Timmy were good to come, but they'd have to be picked up. I'm actually a little disappointed that Lamarr won't be able to join us. I mean, everyone wants to see Transformers 2, but he REALLY seemed to want to see it.... Oh well. We'll have to take him another time =..=

...ok... I'm tired and hungry now. Gonna go scrounge up some food and relax :) I'll talker later, Sunshines.

War With the Flies

2009-Jul-08, Wednesday 05:08 pm
msmoon: (RVB - Red Bull)

Alas, I have had a buggy little problem in my house. For the past few weeks, there have been a number of fruit flies and just common house flies in my house. Now... I'm generally a laid-back sort of person. A fly or two doesn't really bother me. As long as they leave me alone, I'm fine. Unfortunately, this became more than a fly or two very quickly AND they constantly buzzed about me. It seemed like over-night, I had 3 dozen flies in my house. And that's just the house flies, not the fruit flies. I cannot begin to count their number. I mentioned it to Dad, and I got some pesticide spray.

Dad said that around the back of their house they had the same problem. Well, the garbage had begun to pile up, and when Dad went to burn what he could, he found a bunch of maggots in the garbage can.... XP OMG, so nasty. So, evidently, the flies were just gathering around their back yard where the garbage cans were, and since my house is (technically) in their backyard, they just decided to come on over. Spraying the pesticide on the walls and outside my house has not helped. So, this past weekend (while I was feeling crapy with my leg hurting and all anyway) I decided to keep the spray handy......I ended up pretty much declaring war on the flies. I put the pesticide squirt nozzle on the direct spray, so that it shoots out a single line of liquid as opposed to a poof cloud spray. Every time I saw one, I ended up cornering it and just sprayed till I'd knocked the sucker into a puddle of pesticide. I'm very happy to report that my house is virtually fly free. There's an odd one here or there in rooms I don't go in that often, but over-all N2 has no flies in it right now :)

The only down-side is that I can only spray pesticide for so long without hacking my lungs out. Too much of it in one room makes my throat and nose itch like crazy >..< So, I try to limit the amount I spray... When the house was over-run with them, I was terribly miserable. Now, it's not so bad since I only see one odd fly now and then. But now, I'm not so relaxed about it. Used to, if I saw a fly, I'd just let it be. But after this entire ordeal, one fly means I'm off to fetch the pesticide -..- The annoying little buggers aren't even smart enough to leave me alone, and an annoying pest is about as bad as one that bites or stings.

Oh, and Mom and Dad are away now. Dad got called out early Monday... well, to be precise, he called his company asking when they wanted him, and they said "a day earlier than usual". He'll be towing the rig this hitch, so he may be out for anywhere between 14 to 37 days @..@ And since he had to leave Monday at noon, and he didn't get any sleep before hand, and since Mom's older sister (Aunt Audrey) has been having serious heart trouble in the way of multiple heart attacks, Mom decided to accompany him and drive back up after Aunt Audrey's surgery. So, I'm left to hold down the fort while they're gone. All I really have to do is burn my own trash, collect their mail, watch out for Aunt Carolyn's mail and cut the grass at some point.... fun.

Oh, yesterday was my day with Alicia. She pretty much comes over every Tuesday now. We were checking to see places we could visit in Branson... of course it was a great excuse just to go to Branson and map the place out for me. Alicia wanted to go to Staples too, and I've actually never been to a Staples. But, I'm getting ahead of myself.

I had an appointment with the chiropractor yesterday at 3, so Alicia came over early, but accompanied me to the chiropractor (with a small assortment of the first volumes of my manga collection). I told the doctor about how I injured my knee Friday, and she checked it and said my ankle and knee were out of alignment because of it. So she adjusted it too and told me to ice it as well as my lower back (20 minutes on the ice pack and 2 hours off). After that, we went straight to Branson.

On the way there, Alicia got really hungry....and I started getting hungry too. We had planned on stopping at Applebee's to get a to-go menu (turns out they didn't even have any at the time -..-), so we just decided to have lunch there. They still had that 2 meals for $20 deal, so we went ahead and did that. Then we went to Staples, and I found some of those
Soney Earbuds that Takara had showed me at the Lock-In. They fit really easily into the ear, and unlike the original earbuds I had, they don't hurt. Oh, and they were only $9.99, soooo I got them :) We also went to K-Mart, but that was because Alicia said that her mom needed some loafers and ... she wanted to buy them for her... I dunno. Whatever.

Uhhh, then we went to the theater to check and see if they had the times that Transformers 2 would be playing for this Saturday... they only replied that the Imax had it... which really didn't help us much. I told Alicia that I knew the Imax's web site said they wouldn't be playing Transformers 2 after the 9th, so I'd call this little cinema on the 10th and ask if they were having it then. Over-all, we'll have to see, otherwise our trip to Branson will be ...underwhelming at best. After that we were a bit bummed so we went to Best Buy, and I found
Tall Tale on DVD. I was so excited, because I loved this movie when I was young, and it didn't seem like it'd ever come out on DVD. And there it was... for $6.99! So... of course, I got it =..=' And Best Buy was right next to Books-A-Million ... so, no surprise where we went next. I ended up buying this enormous book on Mythology called Mythology: Myths, Legends, & Fantasies. It's massive and I probably paid entirely too much for it... and I love it :3 Of course, this thing is so comprehensive, I may never need another book or reference on mythology EVER. In the back, there's an index for referencing individual things, but there's also a section that breaks down each section and says "For Further Reading" and tells you many books that you can get if you want to focus solely on one thing. It's huge o..o

After that, Alicia and I came home... although it took her a while to adjust to manga reading, she did manage to finish the first volume of Furuba in the car on the way home while I rocked out. I've also managed to get her hooked on the Corrs and Nightwish... mwahaha :D But anyway! Then when we got home, and after we unpacked we finished watching Princess Mononoke. Miyazaki-san is so awesome. I think Alicia agrees :) I was actually surprised to learn that the english voice-actor that spoke for Moro... is Gillian Anderson, aka Scully o..o How many cool points can you earn? :D Anyway! After that, she went home and I showered and went to bed.

I really have been loafing about today...but I'm really tired and just content to so. I mean, I know I probably should've cut grass.... but, I can always do it later. Annnd now, I gotta go and get ready... gotta leave for church around 6:45 and my hair is riotous :3 I like getting ready early so that I can relax and not rush before I leave. So! I'm off. I'll type later, Sunshines :)

msmoon: (HP - Severus WTF)

LoudTwitter is down. Evidently there was a server crash. I swear, I have not dropped off the face of the earth, it's just that the service I use to batch my tweets isn't working :) I thought I'd let everyone know.

Yesterday was church... and it was fun. Not because of the sermon, but because the boys showed up with their mother. This meant Alicia and I had the chance to teach as opposed to attend the Bible study. I enjoy that very much. The boys are very enjoyable and funny, thought it's very hard to keep them reigned in if only because they're so funny you don't want to stop them ^..^

We really didn't give a lesson... but! We developed a reward based system, assigning points to each person for good behavior... and taking points away for bad. After 25 points they may start claiming their rewards... and 25 points can get you 5 candy bars (of your choosing). If you choose not to redeem your points, then you can save it up for a bigger prize. We discussed gift certificates to restaurants and the big prize of 100 points earns you a $50 Wal-Mart gift card :D The gift cards were my idea... so were the candy bars now that I think about it >..> hm...Well, Alicia asked what they would work for... and they said cars and guitars -..- Yeah... nothing we could actually afford. So, I threw in candy (food's always a great reward system right?) and gift certificates... Of course... we do have to get it approved by Pastor Sam first... so... I did make up a chart with their "Names" on them.... ok, that needs explaining.

So... when Alicia mentioned the points system, and Julian said, "What does that remind you of?" to which I replied, "20 points from Gryffindor!" ^..^ They immediately picked up on it and started taken Hogwart's House names... or... something like them. Julian called Gryffindor, Jesse called Slytherin, and Billy ... decided on Ravenpuff O..o yeah I know. They got off on a tangent about combining the names to see what they might just wind up with ... and that's how Billy got his -..-' Of course, T and Lamarr weren't really there... so we gave them substitute names. T (for now) will be Tink and Lamarr with be Autobot :) We'll have to ask them what they think... whenever we next see them.

We're also talking about planning an outing to Branson... the idea is to go and get something to eat and walk the landing and then go see a movie (preferably Transformers 2 as everyone wants to see that). She had mentioned the IMax, but it won't be playing there on the 11th, which is when we wanted to go. The boys will be starting up their Football training camp, and thus they will die a bit every day of the week.... we were hoping for weekend since it'd be more fun and relaxing :) So... you know... maybe we'll have to find another theater. Shouldn't be hard in Branson.

Hmm... what else. Well, I finally got around to getting those art prints framed... all of them (so far). Scamp still owes me two Map paintings, but the Ancients Kth did for me are all framed properly and the map Scamp gave me is framed... I bought 4 matching frames for the Ancients and then 3 other frames from the maps... yes, I only have 1 of the 3, but this Wal-Mart is more of a “Get it while you can, otherwise it may be gone” sort of deal... Even if they aren’t up on the wall yet, I am proud of myself :D

Oh, we went to Sam and Karen's house for the first time since they left on their trip. We were going to go out on some lake, but... well, things didn't work out. So, we ended up just coming home. Not before visiting with Julie and Marsha of course... But, I finished my laundry (thank God). Oh! And tomorrow, Mom and I are going to Branson to shop :3 Yays. Dad said he didn't want to come and get in our way... so that means sushi :D Happy psycho bunny.

Well... I'd better be off. I still haven't showered, slothful boar that I am. I hope LoudTwitter comes back up soon... not that it hasn't been fun posting again....Oh well. I'll talk later, Sunshines :)

Cleaning and Cracking

2009-Jun-30, Tuesday 11:37 pm
msmoon: (Jesus Saves)

So! Today was my first chiropractor adjustment... gotta say, it's totally not like all the other times. This chiropractor doesn't believe in crackin' ya bones :) and I'm grateful. Of course, Instead, she slowly realigns things with a small machine that gives a very firm *tap-tap-tap!* sensation. It may sound like something that wouldn't be terrible... but have it going up every vertebra of your spine and... well.

So, according to my x-rays, one of the lower discs in my spine is leaning forward drastically, thus pinching a nerve... which is why I have severe back pain not to mention constant tenseness in my back. Also, my neck is a little more forward than it should be, and my jaw is slanted...so Dr. Lindsey is working on all of these things at once. She also said that I should put a cold pack on my lower back at least once a day to help with the tendernes...and I should sleep with a pillow under my knees. Trouble is... I actually don't have a spare pillow at the moment. Gotta say, after she adjusted me, I felt... strange. Not hurt or anything, just off. Or perhaps what was weird is that I got up feeling distinctly not-off, but when I tried to walk, I kept veering to the side and nearly smacking into walls -..- yeah.. so I was ... uh.. dissorented. Oh yeah, I was so disoriented, I actually forgot my purse there! I was so busy focusing on walking straight, I didn't even remember that I didn't have it! So, we called them up and said we'd swing by tomorrow to get it sometime =..= They were nice about it.

The doctor also gave me a book to read about reversing allergies... which would be awesome. It'd be great to visit with Reiko and not feel suffocated because of Chimera-bear :3 I wubs dat kitteh.

Speaking of Reiko, I haven't heard anything from her or Jim. I'm sure she's busy with recovery and thus keeping everyone else busy but... I expected to get something. I'ma have to call her tomorrow... there's just nothing else for it. I did get a very inappropriate text message one morning from her that had to do with the late Michael Jackson -..- Honestly...

Oh, also, today, I finally got the pictures from the Youth Lock-In up onto FaceBook (I know, I probably annoyed everyone who was following me on Twitter... assuming that that's a great number of people...). Anyway, I made it so "everyone" can see the pictures so, if you want to take a look at them,
GO HERE. Comments are adored :)

Before ... when the day was starting... There was a great storm this morning. I mean, the wind made my house jiggle again. And the thunder! It was that ripping thunder that feels like it's in your back yard, tearing up your atmosphere :) I was still tired, and it was 8ish, and I know that I dozed off... unfortunately, I woke up more tired than I had been =..= Hate it when that happens. But, I made breakfast and then slowly started moving things about in the living room - tidying up and all. Then, I let Harvey (my Roomba vacuum) loose in the living room. While he was running, I would periodically venture into the kitchen to see what needed to be tended there. I put Sophie (my dishwasher) on and emptied her, and made sure the countertops were clean as well. So when Harvey finished with the living room (and had recharged and all), I put him to work in my kitchen. I was very happy to see that both living room and kitchen were clean today before I left for the chiropractor's.

When I got back, Alicia was already here. I made hotdogs real quick, with chili, and we each had two while we started watching the second disc of FuruBa. Dad popped over at one point to get himself and Mom a couple of hot dogs too, but over all we sat, ate and watched :) We didn't stop till we'd seen it all too. She's very tempted to buy it, but considering her financial situation, she really shouldn't. The girl actually gets a paycheck (albeit a small one) and she's worse off with her money than I am. Still... at least she can pay her own bills.

So, I haven't gotten any calls from the doctor's office I applied to. But I sent off a fax yesterday to answer an add in the paper. I also have heard that a local business is hiring... I'm just trying not to get discouraged. Oh well.

Hmmm. The second long post in the same week. I must be having a good enough time if I want to let everyone know all this stuff :3 But the pills are kicking in, and I still haven't showered. And I'm actually tired. Still, the day's been long and strange. I feel like I've earned my rest...even if parts of me still feel... off. I mean, I seriously feel fine, but when I try to do something I'm all wobbly and uncoordinated ... this is probably the closest I'll ever get to feeling drunk ^..^ Oh well. I'll write later, Sunshines :)

Interwebs Check :)

2009-May-19, Tuesday 01:48 pm
msmoon: (Obsessions)

I’m in Nexus II right now... on my laptop.... :D Sooo, the internet signal is still strong here. That’s awesome.

I just found Harvey - my roomba vacuum - and I figured I’d plug him in and let him charge for a while and see if I can't vacuum the rooms that are clear.... basicly, just the office -..- Of course, every time I come over here, I try to bring over some stuff from the house and get it set up properly. Since all that's set up is my DVD cabinet and book shelves, that means I usually end up bringing stuff like that....

I really need to unpack the stuff in the guest bedroom.... but Mom's got a headache and I'm somewhat reluctant to leave her over there for too long unattended....not that it stops me from getting distracted, obviously -..- Anyway! I was just gonna drop some stuff off and put it in it's place and see if Harvey was up to vacuuming the office...

I have sort of worked out a system for my bookshelves... I mean, there are so many missing DVDs that I just can't find, that there's no point to obsess over that (just yet), but most all of my books are here... so the tall shelf nearest the window is all reference books and binders/notebooks and paper. The middle shelves are really all for smaller books... which, I have a lot of. I was surprised really, but evidently I'd forgotten about the amount of Manga I have o..o' The tall shelf on the opposite side is for every other type of book.... I have 8 D&D books O..O I hadn't realized till now. But I have 12 EQ rpg books and 7 Star Wars "Ultimate Guide to" books... yeah. I'm not obsessed >..> I'm just thorough :D

Ok, Enough dillusions. Tonight... I'm going to see Alicia. I think we're meeting at Quizno's but only because they have food... and wifi :) I have no idea how I'm going to occupy my time... but I'm sure there will be writing involved. Harvey still hasn't fully charged, but I can't really blame him.... he's been shut off since late November of last year :-\

Anyway, that's my status update so far. I'll type later, Sunshines :)

msmoon: (Slayers - Terror)

So, the things that I never talked about that happened yesterday (which, to me, are of great significance) would have to be A) Alicia and I were left alone, unsupervised and as the general teachers of the youth class (consisting at that time of solely Takara & Lamarr); And B) Jim & Reiko went to see Star Trek and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Now... admittedly, the thing with Reiko and Jim going to the movies, isn't huge. I mean, Reiko called me to tell me that they were going out on a full-day date and then to see the two movies... dinner was at Lone Star (celebrating the fact that she is not a Mother) followed by the movies. She also called to tell me Happy Mother's day...since... I dunno, she sorta sees me as a Mom-ish figure. Jim made a side-comment that I was a MILF (which, if as endearing as Jim gets, and since I know him I actually said, 'Aw, thanks'... is that messed up or what?). Later, she called to report on the movies. She reported that Star Trek was awesome and I had to see it. I asked what Jim thought, and he said it was awesome, so that confirmed it. Reiko doesn't always have the best of taste, so... always good to seek a second opinion. And Jim's a self-respecting Geek, like me, and I know if a movie based on a fandom he likes is made and he likes it... then it's cool. Later, they kept texting me though the Wolverine movie, asking questions and very confused. I explained a few things, and later, I got a call from Jim (trying to disguise his voice). He reported that they basically butchered the original Wolverine story line and threw in a ton of stuff that wasn't really supposed to be there. Now, I'm trying to stay neutral till I see the movie but... his bad opinion of it, concerns me.

Now we move on to the second thing. The thing that really concerns me. Someone actually left unsupervised minors in my care. I mean, I know I told Pastor Sam that I wouldn't mind teaching the Youth with Alicia... but that wasn't supposed to be till July. Now, it didn't really bother me, because it was Takara and Lamarr, so they didn't really expect much of us. In fact, I think they enjoyed the casual break. And we got so busy talking, it was half-way through the class before we realized our teacher wasn't going to be there. We really didn't know what to do, so we just kept the whole thing loose. I mean, we hadn't even discussed what we might like to teach on when we do get the class.

So, since we had no lesson plan, we randomly quizzed them on insipid Bible facts while talking about various things that interest them (how many books are in the Bible? What's the shortest verse in the Bible? etc.) I learned that Takara is a reader. She's read some of Harry Potter and all of Stephenie Merey's Twilight books. I also learned that Lamarr's current obsession is Transformers and the new movie coming out. Don't mention it, don't even hint about it, because he will pounce on it and run! All I had to do was mention to Alicia that the second Transformers movie was coming out this summer... that's all. He spent the rest of our time together conveying his knowledge of the upcoming movie, rumors pertaining to the upcoming movie, and singing the old Transformers theme song. And, if ever there was a quiet moment, he would just say "Transformers! Revenge of the Fallen!" It was... a little awkward, but somewhat endearing in a way.

So, I'm gonna be meeting with Alicia.... Thursday, I believe is when we said. So, I'm gonna ask her what she thinks of our lessons consisting of a Bible Trivia game... it'd be more fun, I think. I know we have a game like that around here. Dad says he knows where it is. It's like a board game we used to play all the time. It was fun. It'd give the kids a break without being meaningless. They may learn stuff, right? And it's important for kids to have fun. So that'd probably be a great idea. I'll have to ask Alicia first.

...well, that's all I wanted to say. Tomorrow, I go around and apply at places... again. And there's...other stuff I have to do that eludes my memory at this moment. Anyway, I have to get it done....might as well close this entry out before today becomes tomorrow. Later, Sunshines :)

Twitter-Pated :D

2009-May-08, Friday 09:37 pm
msmoon: (Soup - McDreamy)

Well, the air show really just didn't pan out. We left the church at around 3ish to get there early. We wanted to eat somewhere and take our time, because the tickets and the web page had said that we should be early since the show started at 6.... So, we went to Branson, and we ate at this lovely place, tons of Chinese food, but their sushi sucked. Still, it was some seriously great food. Then we got to the air show and after passing the mile marker where Jesus lost his sandals, we were directed 5 miles on red-clay roads. We got there around 5:30, checked in and sat down, and believe me, with Alicia and Mrs. Karen having bad knees, that took a lot of effort.........and it started to drizzle.

Don't get me wrong, I'm usually a pretty good sport about this. But we got there early like we were supposed to, and then they tell us that the show won't start till 7:30! Paster Sam and Mrs. Karen were fit to be tied, because they got a call from Julie around 4 saying that she finally delivered her baby.... if the show wouldn't start till 7:30, that meant we probably weren't getting home till well after 9 -..-'

Well, we endured it for a while. Well, till about 7:30 to be precise....but the announcers kept yammering on and on, and it kept drizzling and the wind kicked up and... well, 7:30 and still no air show. So, we decided to leave. At first the volunteers who were running the ticket booth did not want to give us our money back, but when we started loading up our lawn chairs, they finally relented.

Totally off of subject and all, but on the way home, I get a text from Twitter. It's from
Joel McHale of all people, and he posted "Okay, are your all coming tomorrow night to the paramount Theater in Denver to see me? I'll cry if you don't." It was so cute to me. So I replied to that with, "Sorry, McDreamy, you're 2 states west of me, and I'm still unemployed =_= Have fun though! (might wanna pack tissues..)." Maybe I'm just a big geek (we've established that, no?), but I'm fairly sure he enjoys the feedback :) I've been calling him 'My McDreamy' for ages, so I just got home and made this new icon. Snazzy isn't it :D ?

Well, it other Totally Unrelated news, according to Dad, that doctor's office I strolled into at the beginning of this week is in desperate need of an office person and my resume is on top of the list.... so I'm hoping to get a call.... but I won't be holding my breath. Still, it's hopeful /crosses fingers.

<..< ..... >..> ..... I can't think of anything else to say. Oh well. Guess I'll take that warm shower. Lord knows, standing out in the rain so long, it's over due :) 'Night, Sunshines.

msmoon: (Happy Doxxie)

I did it again, didn't I? I even missed Sunday Quiz Spam! I really didn't mean to, but in my defense, Mom came down with a migraine Sunday during church, and she has been sick with it ever since then....so I was sorta preoccupied at the time -..- I'll try to be better...anyway...

Ok, so today was exciting and fun. The water/plumbing is all hooked up at my house now. So I have that, just...no power yet :-/ Meh, I’ll take what I can get. But anyway. I had gotten a call Monday from someone named Manta. I had no idea who she was, but she asked if I was me and then told me that I had entered a drawing at Uncommon Grounds to win a free in-home spa treatment...and I’d won :0

So, she told me it would be a basic face, hand and foot treatment and asked when she could come over. So, I got Friday at 6 (today). She then told me that if 3 or more people were there, I would receive a free neck wrap. At the time I didn’t really understand what that would be, but I did understand that term ‘free’ perfectly :) So, I (of course) invited Mom, Aunt Carolyn and Alicia. And yesterday, Mom and I got a surprise visit, when my cousin (Aunt Carolyn’s daughter) Bernadine showed up :D She had driven all the way from Tyler, TX. Evidently her temporary job there had wrapped itself up, so she wanted to drive up and surprise her Mom. So, of course, Bernadine got invited to the spa thingy too.

It was a whole lotta fun. Especially the relaxation “exercise”....if exercise was more like that, I’d be fit as a fiddle ;) It consists of spreading a face mask, and lip mask over your face, and spreading a warm washcloth over your face, and laying comfortably, then listening to some guy with a soothing voice slowly make you focus on your breathing and take you through every single part of your body to relax it...and there’s soft music and birds singing in the background, and the nice lady comes over and rubs warm oil on your arms/hands and messages them as you relax. When that was over, we were almost, all of us, asleep. I come up from that and I told her, “Gotta say, when you came up and rubbing that warm oil over my hands, I totally imagined you were Vin Diesel.”

Of course, like I always do, I took a ton of pictures. I can’t post them tonight, but I’m definitely going to be getting on that tomorrow. Aaaaand, there will probably be yet another FaceBook album made tomorrow, since Mom wants to take Bernadine to see the Mystic Caversn...which, we’ve never really gone to. That should be fun :)

Anyway! I got free stuff from them too! As a gift for hosting the party, I got a free neck wrap (I totally get it now >..>) and a kit with some of their products, along with a bath pillow...which I was wanting since I have a new soak tub :3 Plus I got 20% off my order, so I’m all about having these parties again...especially when I found out that it’s totally FREE to host them..yeah, spread the word, yo.

.... I suppose it’s totally unrelated, but, Mom and I were watching The Soup tonight (this episode was awesome :D), and they had a huge ruckus about Twitter... I’ve been speculatively scratching my head concerning Twitter for a while now, mostly because I do enjoy having a nice full journal entry....but...now I’m sorta curious. I mean, I don’t really know if I have any friends (good friends as opposed to Celebrity “friends”) who are actually on the site or have a Twitter account...so, I’m not sure I see a point in it since...I would have no one to really “keep up” with...but on the other hand, it does sound intriguing. Especially considering how much I enjoy sending text messages :3 Maybe I oughta check it out....IS anyone on Twitter that I don’t know about?....maybe you just don’t have it linked to anything...but, I’d still like to know.

well, the day has been long and I’m super tired. Mom was feeling pretty good for the party today, but she said that once she slowed down she really started feeling bad again... that’s kinda breaking news since she just announced that through the wall o..o’ I know I’m tired, too. I hope she starts feeling better =..= Oh well. I’ll type later, Sunshines.

Catching Up

2009-Apr-18, Saturday 04:30 pm
msmoon: (MsMoon's Crescent)

/sigh. Gosh I suck. No postage for way too long. It’s almost been a week >..> and I cannot have two quiz spams side by side.

Uhhh, I had to order that charger from Amazon to get Makoto up and working. I mean, I tried just holding the charger in place and hoping it'd charge but, no dice. So, I finally have my charger :D It came in and Makoto is back to 100%. Thank you, Amazon.com :)

So! Let's see....I should probably make a list of things to discuss since it's been almost a week. Alicia and I met Tuesday night at
Uncommon Grounds. I busted my bum to get what little I have of my original story typed up properly and put into a folder so she could take it and read it. So far, her only problem is that there's so little of it =..= I'm hoping that if we keep meeting regularly, that I'll find some motivation to write more :) Lord knows, my original needs all the help it can get.

Hey, Scamp? How much of my original did I actually send to you o..o? I'm wondering if I actually have more now or if I sent it all to you...

You know something else that's been bothering me? I have been swinging for about 3 weeks or so now, and it still hurts to do it most of the time. I thought you were supposed to exercise for a time, and then your body would adjust to that and it wouldn't hurt to exercise >..> I have never enjoyed exercise. It's really hard to make yourself do something when you don't enjoy it. I enjoy swinging, and that is the only reason I've managed to stick with that exercise routine. Mom and I do want to get, like, yoga mats and weights with DVDs, and get some sort of exercise routine going. I mean, I've switched entirely to drinking water now, and I feel great, but I've got to get moving more often....and as much as I hate it, that means cardio -..- God, but I do hate cardio.

You really don't know frustration until you have to move. Or when you have to unpack...that's frustrating too. Especially when you have no power or water in your house...and no money. That sucks. Every day, I've been taking boxes and stuff over to my trailer and just stacking some of those boxes. Mom and I went over there today and started unpacking the kitchen....we agreed that all the pots and pans and dishes were dirty and would need to be cleaned before use =..= We also went to Target yesterday, and I got everything I need for my spare bathroom. I've never had a spare bathroom, so it was like, "What can I do there?" I didn't want to over do anything, but I still wanted it to be nice. Oh, and Mom and I unpacked all my clothes and put it in my enormous closet :) That was fun. We did sorta agree that there's no point in unpacking books or DVDs (the main mass of my things really). I mean, till I get those book shelves, my books have no place to go, and till I get a DVD cabinet, my DVDs have no place to go so....yeah. Kinda don't want them spread out all over the place.

It's weird to move and unpack, because you feel almost like you're getting presents when you remember everything that starts coming out of boxes. And you get all nostalgic because you're like, "Oh! This box is full of my movies!" or "Wow! I'd forgotten I had that!" even. It's just strange...good, but strange. The down-side, of course, is when you pull something out of the box and it's broken ;_; quite a few things have taken damage actually.

I've been working on Mom's Mother's Day gift for a while now. Every time I get the chance to stay home alone, I take it. What I'm doing is, I'm scanning as many old photos as I can find onto my log in on her new computer. I'm hoping that I can get a jump drive and transfer them all over the day before Mother's Day, and that'll be her Mothers Day gift :D I'm sure she'll love it, because she has no idea I'm doing it and she absolutely loves surprises. And plus that's something she's really been wanting to do, you know? Safeguard all her memories and such. So, shhh, don't tell anyone. But I've been working like a mad woman to get as much done as possible. It's not easy when the photos are not dated, and most of them aren't >..> Still, it's good to have them safe :)

Oh, our Trailer dude who sold us the trailer and moved it for us and all, he said that during every move a trailer takes some damage. So, we're supposed to take note of the things that are messed up inside the trailer and he'll fix them for us. So far, this is what I have...

1. The screen door has some damage to it on the outside.
2. The siding around the door is coming off in one spot.
3. The front door will not stay closed unless the deadbolt is locked.
4. The outside light fell off...we still don't know why o..o.
5. The floor in the kitchen is messed up, bowing slightly.
6. The joint in the kitchen has come away from the wall.
7. The recessed lighting in the kitchen is not sitting right.
8. The laminent near the stove and on the floor near the dishwasher is crackling.

Considering the hills and thrills they endured coming here, that's really a small list of things :) Every time I go into my trailer, I'm happy. I like how it looks inside, and it's just bare bones, so I know I'm going to enjoy it a lot whenever I actually can move in and put my stuff everywhere.

I haven't heard anything from my Twin recently...which is weird, since I re-sent her the letter that I'd e-mailed to the wrong place -..-' Dad and I were talking, and he figured since she's close to Atlanta, we might just get a round-trip ticket for me and I fly out :) That'd be really awesome. Oddly enough, Reiko has been so lonely lately, when I told her I'd be near Atlanta, she wanted to know if she could come to the wedding o..o' She was like, "I'll bring a gift! That's all that matters, right? The guests need to bring gifts! Atlanta's only 4 hours from here! And I can see you!" ...yeah...

Oh, speaking of Reiko. Like I said, she's been really lonely lately. Oddly enough, she has very few friends in NC, and since the army wives she does know have very little in common with her, she's actually transformed into the 'quiet one' of the bunch. I know o..o weird. But, I've been thinking how much I'd love to go to an anime con (not this year, but maybe next depending), and
Animazement is right there in Raleigh. If we want to get together again (and if we actually have money to attend), I could meet up with her and we could go there :) That'd be fun! And Mecha Con was such a blast.... cons really are the best way to get together :D I think. I mean, the Gathering with my Twin and then Mecha Con with Reiko. Both of them were a blast, and more so because of the company than because of the con. The Con's just a great excuse to get together and be crazy :)

Of course, I started looking up conventions close to me. The easiest for me would be the
Arkansas Anime Festival...it looks pretty cheap for a con though (even if they're calling it a festival. It's $17 per day for adults who are pre-registered AND it's in Fayetteville... that's an hour and 40 minutes away (not to mention dirt cheap)! I mean, I know that there's also Kawa Kon (in Clayton, MO) and
Naka Kon (in Kansas City, Mo), but Fayetteville is just uber convenient.

....wouldn't it be awesome, if every couple of years my friends and I could just meet up at a con? I mean, we could take turns since we're all in different places, but each year one of us would have the con in our state/nearby, and we'd all just have a great excuse to go :3

...all that anime/friend talk being said...I really miss my Red vs. Blue =..= I wanted to buy
The Blood Gluch Chronicles after I'd given my individual DVDs to Reiko...but then the Rents told me I was moving so...yah.. And now! they have the new season, Red vs. Blue: Reconstruction, out....and it's totally effin' awesome :D I mean, I've seen it all on the web site, but I really do have to have that <..< eventually...it will be mine..

Meh....I've talked/typed enough...goodness, but did I ever type enough. I really can't think of anything more to say and...I'm wanting to relax a bit. I'll post again later, Sunshines :)

You Are Dusk

You are a naturally idealistic and creative person. You look forward to nights where everything is possible.

You spend most of your energy on play. Work is okay, but the true you emerges after the work day is done.

You're an offbeat type that doesn't like rules or schedules. Life's too short to waste at a desk in a cube.

Whether you spend your night socializing or working on side projects, you like that your time is yours.

I hate how out of shape I am -..- My trailer is where it's supposed to be btw. It was moved in on the 8th (Wednesday) and not too long after it had all been moved and settled, Dad's work called and told him they needed him as soon as he could drive down. So...he'll be working 3 weeks this round instead of 2. He was so tired too, from the drive. They really should've let him sleep after the drive, but from what I understand, he drove all night and then had to work the next day =..=

The last few days have been rainy/dreary. Those who know me well know how much I love weather like that. I love sunshine and nice weather, but I love all day all night rain too. It really started Thursday...which was interesting.

So...Most of Thursday I did a lot of nothing. But that night, they had this seminar on Medical Transcription, which is a field I certainly wouldn't mind getting in. I told Alicia about it, and we agreed to meet each other there to see what it was about. Well, turns out there are 5 "semesters" each sent to you through the mail, and each one costing $599 O..O oh, you can pay $55 a month (for the rest of your natural life), but that doesn't cheapen the price. Admittedly, you can pay out the debt any time, and the program they provide you with is the best, but still....when you don't have the money for it, you don't have the money for it =..=

Anyway, so the rain and thunder and craziness started that evening. It started thundering while we were in the seminar and rain followed soon after. We had decided already when we got there, that after the seminar we would head over to
Uncommon Grounds afterwards. It's a local coffee shop/hang out. I had never been there, and I'd always wanted to go. So we headed over there, I got a cappuccino with hazelnut flavoring, and Alicia got strawberry fruit smoothie. I told Alicia that the cappuccino was awesome, if only because I could drink it without having to add any sugar or cream or any type of anything to make it bearable. Some cappuccinos I've had need serious help...not naming any names though. Anyway, we sit down and Alicia tells me, "Oh yeah, I got a flat on the way over here." O..O About that time, the tornado weather started to roll through the area. We had hail and torrential rain and winds...was insane. So, she called her dad...of course, we got there around 8:30 and she called him at 8:45 and it takes about 30 minutes to get from her house to town =..= So, we waited, and the ladies inside were nice enough to let us just stay and hang out while they counted down their drawers and closed up. Her dad finally got there and brought the jack and we helped him change the tire. Luckily, most of the weather had passed while we waited, so even though we were caught in it, it wasn't as bad as it could've been.

Yesterday (Friday), Alicia came over and we watched Twilight. She got here around... 11:45ish, and we watched/made fun of the movie and then the extra features on the other two discs till about... 3 pm. Then, I showed her my empty trailer and told her about everything I intend for it. She was impressed and a bit envious...which, the latter half was not my intention. But you know what they say about beggars (they'll only spend it on booze :D)

Today, the weather perked up for the first time since Wednesday. Mom and I had intended to go over to our pastor's house and help them move into their new house. Well, Mom called them yesterday evening, and she asked if they were still planning on doing that, but they said no. So, instead, we decided to move a few of my things out of the basement and into my new trailer. We did manage to clear out one corner...but really, there are several things we just can't do without power or water. We could load up the pantry, and all the shelves and stuff...but the cabinets need to be wiped down first. I suppose we could just grab a bucket of water and a dish rag and haul it over there. But, that's sort of a 'final touch' thing. Plus, most of my dishes, which had been stored away, totally need to be washed because a ton of dirt/dust settled on them.

After we had as many boxes settled to our satisfaction, we put a color in my hair. It's really the same color as my own natural color, but putting it in makes my hair look more vibrant and healthy. The color came with blond highlights >..> we shall see.

After we ate lunch, Mom was exhausted. So she went to take a nap. I was tired too, but I decided to go out and swing since the weather was so nice. I was swinging for about 22 minutes and then I had to get off. It was nice out, but the wind had picked up and I just felt colder (that could be because I was sweating though...). Either way you look at it...it's been a good day. Sore like mad, but... a good day :)

I guess that's all for now. I'll talk later, Sunshines.

msmoon: (Supernatural - no good)

So, Alicia left. She followed me home Sunday night and we just hung out together till tonight. Most of our time was spent watching TV. But there was a point in which we went to Wal-Mart for a grocery run. Of course, we’re both book freaks so, we had to check out the book isle (meagre though it is). When we strolled past the Stephenie Meyer section, she happened to ask me if Twilight was a good book >..> So, I told her the truth of course. And! I did not force her to buy the book....just like the people who sell crack to school kids, it’s their choice to buy :D

That was Monday...I think. We got back and watched more movies of course. Tuesday she started reading Twilight around 1ish, and she didn’t stop till some time after 6. Then...she got her stuff, got in her car and went to Wal-Mart to buy New Moon. O..O Whoops...my bad. Uh, then she read that till about 3:30 in the morning. When I woke up this morning around 11 (yes, we stayed up late so I slept late), she was reading my copy of Eclipse :D spreading the addiction, one person at a time.

As far as movies go, we covered The Flight of Dragons, Hellboy, Labyrinth, The Inheritance, Robin Hood - Men in Tights, X-Men: Evolution Season 1, the first episode of season 2 of X-men: Evolution, and the Pilot of Supernatural. She’s extraordinarily sheltered...so Supernatural isn’t to her taste. She thinks while it is entertaining, it’s too scary. As per my rule, you don’t have to watch everything I like. But if there is a series I like, then I require the first episode to be seen. Then you can decide :) We both love The Inheritance....as does most every girl I know who’s seen it...it’s especially great if only because it’s based on a true story.

Of the movies she wanted to see, we didn’t get to see Legend, Quest for Camelot, and The Goonies....but, I’m not going anywhere and whenever I get my trailer, I’m sure she’ll be about to hang out more often. There’s also Dune and Firefly which, she isn’t sure if she’s seen or not...which, those are the types of movies that if you’ve seen them, you know that you’ve seen them.

....and, tomorrow, after I’ve cleaned up the house a bit and put the laundry on to wash, I fully intend to have a Supernatural marathon. I’ve already got the first disk of Season 1 down...

Oh! When we went to Wal-Mart, I finally found a leather thingy that holds a monthly planner and a note pad along with pockets for other papers. I’d been looking for one for ages and the ones they had just weren’t meeting my needs exactly. Well I got this one, and tonight at church, I wrote! I wrote like 3 pages...which, admittedly, is not a lot. But! When you consider that I haven’t written anything since about a month before the move...it’s progress and that’s what matters. What also matters, is that it’s a section that actually goes in my original about where I left off :) I am pleased with myself, and I hope to keep up the good work. I’m also planning on putting copies of my resume in there for when I got job hunting....it’s a little unprofessional to carry them around in the folder I have that has “Waiting to be Discovered” on the outside :3 Unprofessional but loaded with personality :D

I guess that’s all for now...I mean, I’m sure there’s things to talk about but...meh. When I feel ‘meh’ about an entry, that means it’s time to stop typing :3 Soooo, till next time. ‘Night, Sunshines.
