OK, So, I just got home and washed all that make up off. The job interview... went well? I guess. Um. This was actually the second time this office interviewed me. It's a local pediatrics. Mrs. Soma was surprised when I told her that too. They seemed almost shocked that I was interested in the position. They kept asking that, her and the doctor. Some of the things that they said were... a little funny. They kept saying, 'you have to be %100 committed to the job' and 'you have to be able to deal with stress and the doctor all the time'. One of the weirder things was they require you to shower every morning before you come in o..o' I told them I shower every evening, but that evidently is not enough -..- It's not terrible it's just... strange.

But it's a job, right? I'd be working from 8:30 to 4:30 with an hour lunch break, and I'd be making $7.25 an hour. They said that I could come in Monday and start working, but I should go home and think about it first. Mrs. Soma gave me her cell number and told me to call back if I was interested... so after I thought about it for an hour, I called back to tell her I was interested and she said that she'd be making the decision tomorrow, so she'd give me a call. /shrug. Of course, it was then that I remembered her answering her cell near the beginning of our interview and hearing another young woman tell her that she was very interested in the job still. Mrs. Soma had walked out to finish taking the call. I suppose it's all part of the business, it just seems... strange. One minute they're wanting me to come in Monday for the job, the next they'll call me back about it. Either way, I've done all I can. The rest of the decision is up to them :) I'm trying to remind myself not to get my hopes up =..=

In other news, I finally got around to watching Supernatural ... dear God. I knew it was bad, but I cried like a baby ;_; For some odd reason I cannot wait for S5 to be over just so I can breath freely again. I can't track where this will go and how it will end and it's killing me. I keep wondering who they'll kill off next >..< That does things to you.

Well...I guess that's all for now. Mom's not feeling good and Dad just called to ask if I'd go to Wal-Mart with him to pick up her meds. So I'm off. Later, Sunshines.

You Are a Memorable Wedding
For you, love is whimsical and delightful. You believe love should be celebrated often, and in the most indulgent manner possible. To be unloved would make you feel uninspired and depressed. Love is what ultimately motivates and excites you. Romantic love makes you feel lighthearted and full of joy. Even if you've been in love with someone for a while, you still feel like you did when you first fell in love. Your soulmate makes you happier than any person you know. You're likely to fall the person who makes you smile, laugh, and feel young again.
Well... I suppose that's mostly right. But this one also appeals...

You Are a Unique Wedding
For you, love is rare and important. You consider love a gift, and you're know you're lucky for each person in your life who truly loves you. To be unloved would make you feel rejected. You love carefully and deliberately, and you take being loved in return very seriously. Romantic love makes you feel secure and taken care of. You take romantic relationships seriously, even in their early stages. When you're with someone, you tend to quickly build your own little world together. Soooooo, I had an interview this morning. It was for a small part-time position at the local library. It doesn't look like I'll be getting the position though. When I got there, I was surprised when I walked into the office and there was this enormous tabby cat laying on the desk. The lady said the cat was Prince... evidently one of the library cats. o..O I didn't know libraries could have cats... but it seems like a nice idea. But anyway. She asked why I'd quit Hancocks and AMC, and I said because I couldn't stand on my feet all day due to a persistent back injury. Well, turns out the entire 7.5 hour shift is supposed to be on your feet, not to mention carrying books (lifting and bending and such). She and I talked for a bit more, and she thanked me for my honesty and said that if she needed a sub, she'd call me to do a day shift... just to see if I could handle the work. /shrug. You win some, you loose some.

After that, I went by the Revenue office, which is where I got my Arkansas license plate. Alicia pointed out to me the last time we got together that my license plate was missing the month sticker o..o so I went there and told them they'd forgotten to give me said sticker. The lady was happy to give me one. Then I nicked on home.... it looked like it was going to rain a bit, so I went and got all my clothes and towels and put the towels on to wash at Mom's house (Mom's supposed to get a new washer and dryer and I'll get her old set :3).

And while my towels were drying, Alicia showed up o..o' She wanted to show me that she had found out that Transformers 2 was playing at the Imax in Branson. She stayed for a bit and then left to clean the church. It was sprinkling a bit, but I folded my towels and brought them over to my house. Then I got on the mower and cut the grass for the Rent's front and back yard as well as part of my own :) It really didn't take long at all, and when I was done, I packed up my clothes (which had dried by this time) and brought them back home. Then I took a shower.... oh... showers are so awesome ~..~

... I put some incense on to burn... I tell you, I had 2 types of incense before I moved here, Sandalwood and Sex on the Beach (which, can't possibly smell anything like said activity). But, we were at the country mart grocery store, and they had some incense there that I hadn't tried before. So I decided to buy the two sample packs they had. One has five sticks of each, the Patchouly, Nag Champa (both of which I have no experience with), Vanilla, Ocean, Rain, and Opium ..... the last of which I found very bizarre. The others with the exception of Vanilla are very nice. Nothing terribly special mind you, but nice. The other sample pack had like 10 sticks of Orange, Lavender and Sage. I've gotta say, the Sage smells excellent, Lavender too really. Orange...not really so much. Oh, and I got a pack of Jasmine, which smells amazing. I really find that I enjoy burning incense. Dad hates it. So... I burn it a lot when he's offshore -..-

Aaaand tomorrow is the Youth Excursion thingy. And all I can think about is how much I wish I could get some sushi =..= I've only been wanting it since the Mom&Me Branson trip was canceled for the lake trip. Takara did call, and she said that she and Timmy were good to come, but they'd have to be picked up. I'm actually a little disappointed that Lamarr won't be able to join us. I mean, everyone wants to see Transformers 2, but he REALLY seemed to want to see it.... Oh well. We'll have to take him another time =..=

...ok... I'm tired and hungry now. Gonna go scrounge up some food and relax :) I'll talker later, Sunshines.

Swing and Miss

msmoon: (Twilight - Jasper)

Sooo, I got a call this morning from Penmac - the staffing agency I applied with which got me the interview today. Basically they called me to tell me that my interview was cancelled due to the interviewer actually hiring someone. Kinda disappointing really.

I don’t think I’ve mentioned it, but since Dad put that swing up, I’ve been using it as exercise. Yesterday was my first time going for about 15 minutes. I must say, without my iPod, I would probably not be able to do it at all (and my jacket and gloves for that matter -..- It’s cold out!). But, I just put my earphones in and swing away. I am so sore from yesterday, but as soon as I finish my coffee, I’m suiting up and heading out there to swing some more. Maybe it’ll help :)

Tonight is the big Twilight night. Alicia and I plan to meet at my house around 11:30, and then head over there. I’m debating bringing my camcorder ^..^ I think I should. It’d be a great addition to the DVD...I mean, it starts out with Me, Reiko and Scap goofing off around the premier of Twilight, and it’d be fitting to have the DVD release and everything...I think so at least :3

...well...goodmorning and I’m off :) Later, Sunshines.

Volunteer Work

msmoon: (Slayers - Bawl)

Compared to the last two days, today has been pretty busy. Woke up early and got dressed and ready. Mom and I went to town and I stopped at various places, handing out my resume. I also went to two staffing agencies, and I have an interview for a receptionist at a local insurance place this Friday at 11:30 (wish me luck :3)

After going to the hospital, the doctor’s office, the college (which, doesn’t accept resumes unless they have a position opened >..> lame), and the two staffing agencies, we were hungry and tired. So, we headed to McDonalds and then went home. We ate and watched HGTV (I love Color Splash and Deserving Design), and then we went outside and sat in the swing. We even swung on the new swing, but the board isn’t really wide enough and...alas, I am out of shape. But I would swing for a few minutes, and my syatic nerve would start to act up, so I’d go around the yard taking pictures, and then I’d feel ok again and I’d get back on and swing again :)

The reason I’m taking so many pictures is because everything is blooming! Our bradford pear tree is full of white blossoms, we’ve been having yellow daffodils everywhere that’re just so pretty, now there are two bushes behind our house that are full of yellow blossoms and the cherry blossom tree (the one that split in three from the ice storm?) has white blossoms all over it ^..^ It’s so cool.

Of course, Mom got a call from one of my Aunts....I think Aunt Audrey. They found my Uncle Wilford in his bed today, dead. Mom was a little shaken, because she said she’d just seen him at Richard’s funeral and he’d looked fine. She even said that she went out of her way to hug him... of course, Mom’s now really on the ball about the family reunion thing. She says that it’s a shame that the only time they all get together is when there’s a funeral, and she really wants to have a happy occasion to get together before they loose another one o..o

I have no idea how, but somehow, I got volunteered for helping to organise this monster >..> I can’t say that I really mind, because I know Mom doesn’t really know a lot about these sorts of things - and, I’m not saying that I’m so great at it, but still, I have gone to conventions before, so at least I have an idea of what could/should be done. For one, we’re working on getting a head count of who all wants to go, that way we’ll be able to get a pricing list (this place is going to coast $800 for the 2 nights we’re staying, so it cannot be free =..=). After the head count, we’ll figure out who intends to show up and when...I can’t see charging full price to someone who plans on only being there one night/day, and if people bring campers and don’t actually stay on, what’s the point in charging them, right? Also, I want to get as many e-mail addresses as I can, and actually start a news letter from an official e-mail (not one of my own) with updates and suggestions and all that jazz. I told Mom that for the evenings we can all just eat supper together and talk and enjoy one another’s company, but for the days, we’ll need to think of activities and stuff to do >..> I’m not the best person for that. I also told Mom that I’d like to get pictures of her siblings that have passed away, perhaps both past and present photos, and blend those pictures together and put their names on the photo and frame it nicely....it just would be a nice reminder of those who couldn’t make the reunion...I asked Aunt Lane about that, since I know she has a lot of pictures of everyone with her genealogy project. I have little doubt that during the reunion, I will have my camcorder out as well :)

Aaaand I’ve got church tonight. I’ll be asking Alicia if she plans on going to Wal-Mart this Friday at 11ish. In case everyone has been living in a hole for a while... Twilight comes out this Saturday. Now, I have it on good authority (both Scamp, who’s sister works at a Wal-Mart, and from calling the local Wal-Mart) that at midnight on the 20/21 they will be pulling out the Twilight DVDs at Wal-Mart. Not only that, every Wal-Mart should be having a fairly large Twilight parafinelia section with clothes and accessories....I called the local Wal-Mart to make sure I wasn’t just showing up for nothing this Friday night/Saturday morning, and the dude in electronics said that they’ll be stocking the DVD’s at Midnight on Friday/Saturday, and he’s not certain what’s going on, but in another department behind the jewelry section, they’re setting something up >..> Sounds worth investigating at least. I even called Jennifer (a local family friend who I found out is a Twi-Teen) to see if maybe she and her sister and mom would like to come with us to Wal-Mart and hang out and see what there was to see....but they’re going out of town tomorrow so...yeah. Make no mistake, I fully intend to buy my copy of Twilight from Target. The
Twilight-Target deal is a much better one if I’m asked (and it’s my journal, so I’ll pretend that I was). A 3-disc deal for $17.99? Hello! I am so all over that....but the hard-core fan girl in me(who squees randomly at SpunkRansom’s golden eyes) demands that I show up if only to see what there will be to see.

/sigh. I guess that’s all...I don’t have anything else to add, and it’s about time I started getting ready for church. It’s been so nice out today...I’m glad we got some outside time :) I’ll talk later. See ya, Sunshines

Ok. The interview went really well today. So well, that I now have a job ^___^ yayness! I’m still so tired, so even though I’m not acting all happy, I am. I start work Monday at 10 a.m. and it’ll be mostly an orientation and paperwork thing till 2. I cannot wait! From what I understand it’ll be mostly filing and such, though we’re required to keep our work-place clean and of course, answer the telephones. But they don’t want me working telephones too much at first because I’m new.

That’s all. I just couldn’t wait. I shall now go and try to amuse myself till I can get some sleep tonight. Later!

Beware, for I am: Blah Blah

Got through watching last night’s Supernatural...Oh...my...God. You do not end a season like that! OMGWTFBBQ!!! That was just wrong! Now we’re gonna have to wait God-knows how long to find out what the heck’s gonna happen to the boys! That’s just so wrong! I’m also a little put off at the fact that they keep showing these demons as if they’re omnipresent and can posses anyone at anytime from anywhere. If random demons were omnipresent, they would undermine God, and that means they wouldn’t be afraid of him, which they are. But that’s just my take on it.

/pant, pant, pant. Ok...Rant over with.

Also, I have an interview this afternoon at 1 with that place that interviewed me two weeks ago. Now that they’ve moved into their larger building, they have other positions that need filling, and they wanna see if I could fill one. Joy. So I’ll be heading to their new location today and I’ll need to ask for someone named Nicole. We shall see how that goes.

I’m off to go chow down on some college cuisine. Later.

You don't let many people know this, but you

Oh thank the Lord! It rained! I was so happy when I heard the thunder in the distance. It finally rained, and by rained I mean poured! It hasn’t rained like that since...well, Rita. I mean, sure we had that last rain that I got so excited about, but it was only a short thunderstorm with moderate drizzles. This was rain! I bet the ducks are so happy too.

We saw the ducks today too! Oh wait. I’m getting ahead of myself. Ok, so today!

Woke up early because I’d forgotten the phone n my room, and I was groggy all day long until after my interview. I made Reiko a shirt that says in moderately sized words “Hi, I’m LostCause, and I’m a...” and then below that in huge lettering “HENTAI”. Reiko did drop by around 1ish to check her MySpace, so I gave it to her then and she loved it and though it was “so frikkin’ awesome!”

Got guzzied up and went to the interview and it went really well. Most interviews run about 5 minutes long, but this one was about 20 minutes, which means we talked a lot, and a lot of conversation usually means they’re more likely to remember you. Unfortunately, they’re in the process of moving, so I won’t know anything till about two weeks. Then once they move, they’re keeping the resumes that stood out and another manager will go over them and hire for other positions. But that’d be much much later. So, at least this one went well. She was surprise to hear about why the Insurance place let me go. She said it seemed to her like someone was scamming them, and they just took advantage of me, which is exactly what happened. But /shrug whatever right?

Oh, we went to Wendy’s and got one of those new sandwiches they’ve been advertising. Mom and I both got the Roasted Turkey & Basil Pesto Frescata sandwich. She didn’t like her, so I ended up eating mine and then half of hers. So it’s a good thing I liked them. I then rewatched Children of Dune just to hear watch Jessica all over again. I love her in the second one so much more than in the first. In the first one she seemed like a desperate scam artist, but in this one she’s fully aware of the things that need to be done and she always seems confident that she can do them.

Now. The birds. My mother and I have made it no secret concerning our love for the avian creatures of this world. We have three humming bird feeders that we clean out every Tuesday (otherwise they’ll be overwhelmingly grimy, and I wouldn’t want to drink out of them so why should I let a humming bird do so?), we have two bird houses (one bird apartment for Vern and Shirley, and a mini-condo that is still unoccupied because Dad didn’t really secure it the right way -_-), and there’s always the ducks. That’s right, the ducks are back. They come and they go as they please, but it always makes me happier when they wander into our yard. They meandered near our back patio when Mom was collecting the hose after watering everything. At this point whenever we see the ducks and they’re actually that close, we’ve gotten into a ritual of taking one of our biggest garbage can lids, hosing it off till it’s moderately clean, and then filling it up with water and leaving it out. All five ducks then proceed to go over to the water-filled-trash-can-lid and drink from it, after they are all done drinking, they’ll begin to preen, and sometimes, they’ll waddle into the tub and splash about. I have named the ducks and thus far no one seems to be able to tell anyone but Low-rider apart from the rest...except me. In order from most-liked to least-liked there’s Low-Rider, Jibber, Jabber, Ponder, and Mussolini (he’s always chasing the other’s around threateningly, and then waddles back as if he’s forgotten why). So, today we saw all three of the variety of birds that we usually see. The flying birds, the waddling birds and the hovering birds. Pretty damn good day.

Oh, wasn’t Gilmore Girls good today? I mean, the way Rory handled Mitch! That was so classic. And to think he once told her she wasn’t aggressive so she’d never make it in a news room. And then the whole April birthday thing! Oh, I felt so bad. One step forward and two steps back. I cannot wait to see the next one...it’s so cruel of them to make us wait a week. Can’t they have these things Biweekly or something? That’d be cool...Not too much and not too little.

Oh well. Sleep meds are kicking in and I told Mom I’d start getting up early so that we could start walking again. Goodnight all.

Ok. So...many of you may recall when I made a post back here, stating that my parents intended to go RVing when they retire and leave me to manage the houses. That plan...has been altered slightly. My Dad intends to buy some land farther North. Where? Are you ready for this? Arkansas. /cocks head to the side I can hear Chibi’s giddy screams all the way from Searcy. My Dad is all-but convinced that the perfect place to live is in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. So...from what I understand, the idea now is to retire, buy land, do MAPS (the thing where they travel around in an RV and help people), eventually build two houses on said pre-bought land, and then have us move up. From what I can gather from my Dad, he seems to think that MAPS will prepare him on how to build things...like houses. Although I must say...I’d rather have a contractor -.- Don’t get me wrong, the gesture is made with all the greatest of intentions, but my dad just isn’t a carpenter. I don’t think that any amount of running all over the US whether there be training from experts or not is going to change this. If it hasn’t changed in 65 years, it won’t change that quickly.

Ok. Onto the rest of life as it stands. Today was great if only because Mom felt good today. It’s been the first day in almost 3 weeks that she’s been able to feel good the entire day. We got up and cleaned house a little. Then we went to town. We bought some awesome wall art for my room, which I shall photograph and post eventually. Then we got groceries.

When we got home, I’d gotten a call from another place that I’d sent a resume to. It’s a physical therapy place here in town. The position is only part time, but it’s $7.00 an hour. Right now, I’ll take what I can get, thanks. I have an interview set up tomorrow at 3:15. All ready I’m liking this. This is the first interview I haven’t had to wake up early to get ready for ^_^. The lady I spoke with on the phone sounded very nice...She explained the job and asked plenty of questions about my previous work and volunteering, which made me wonder what the heck we’d talk about in the interview O_o...Oh well. I’m sure she’ll have something.

Other good things to note: Chibi posted today. It’s just good to hear from her. I miss her.

Also, Reiko stopped by after work to check her MySpace. Unfortunately, she didn’t much like the picture that I edited of her the other day. She says, and I quote, “This is a terrible picture of me. The graphics are great, but the picture of me sucks.” I take that to mean that she didn’t approve of the base image and therefore doesn’t like it edited. …/shrug Whatever.

I guess that’s all for now. Goodnight to all...now go away.

Yo. Ok, well things to note for this day...

1) I got a call from one of the places I sent a resume to. I have an appointment for an interview tomorrow at 10:30. Hope that goes well.
2) I sent Chibi’s ‘letter-package’ over-night.
3) When eating a steak at the local Outback, opt for Medium well instead of well done.

Those are the things I want to remember from today.

Bones was good as it always is. Though Mom and Dad did come in on the end of it, and Dad remarked that they always make people in LA look strange. It’s just that it’s because it’s how Hollywood perceives LA to be, and it’s not how we perceive LA to be, so the images never match up.

I’m looking forward to CSI:NY tonight. It looks like it’ll be interesting. I fully intend to open up a box of Peeps and snack on a couple of those while I enjoy the show. So, I’m off to go and watch that. Goodnight.

I’m going to drop off two resumes today. I think one is as a staffing place, and the other is just another add in the paper. I made a print out that has all my work and school info on it with Access, and I’ve got everything ready to go. Oddly enough, I’m neither excited nor anxious. I shall now have lunch with Mom and then we will be off. Toodles.
