Oh thank the Lord! It rained! I was so happy when I heard the thunder in the distance. It finally rained, and by rained I mean poured! It hasn’t rained like that since...well, Rita. I mean, sure we had that last rain that I got so excited about, but it was only a short thunderstorm with moderate drizzles. This was rain! I bet the ducks are so happy too.
We saw the ducks today too! Oh wait. I’m getting ahead of myself. Ok, so today!
Woke up early because I’d forgotten the phone n my room, and I was groggy all day long until after my interview. I made Reiko a shirt that says in moderately sized words “Hi, I’m LostCause, and I’m a...” and then below that in huge lettering “HENTAI”. Reiko did drop by around 1ish to check her MySpace, so I gave it to her then and she loved it and though it was “so frikkin’ awesome!”
Got guzzied up and went to the interview and it went really well. Most interviews run about 5 minutes long, but this one was about 20 minutes, which means we talked a lot, and a lot of conversation usually means they’re more likely to remember you. Unfortunately, they’re in the process of moving, so I won’t know anything till about two weeks. Then once they move, they’re keeping the resumes that stood out and another manager will go over them and hire for other positions. But that’d be much much later. So, at least this one went well. She was surprise to hear about why the Insurance place let me go. She said it seemed to her like someone was scamming them, and they just took advantage of me, which is exactly what happened. But /shrug whatever right?
Oh, we went to Wendy’s and got one of those new sandwiches they’ve been advertising. Mom and I both got the Roasted Turkey & Basil Pesto Frescata sandwich. She didn’t like her, so I ended up eating mine and then half of hers. So it’s a good thing I liked them. I then rewatched Children of Dune just to hear watch Jessica all over again. I love her in the second one so much more than in the first. In the first one she seemed like a desperate scam artist, but in this one she’s fully aware of the things that need to be done and she always seems confident that she can do them.
Now. The birds. My mother and I have made it no secret concerning our love for the avian creatures of this world. We have three humming bird feeders that we clean out every Tuesday (otherwise they’ll be overwhelmingly grimy, and I wouldn’t want to drink out of them so why should I let a humming bird do so?), we have two bird houses (one bird apartment for Vern and Shirley, and a mini-condo that is still unoccupied because Dad didn’t really secure it the right way -_-), and there’s always the ducks. That’s right, the ducks are back. They come and they go as they please, but it always makes me happier when they wander into our yard. They meandered near our back patio when Mom was collecting the hose after watering everything. At this point whenever we see the ducks and they’re actually that close, we’ve gotten into a ritual of taking one of our biggest garbage can lids, hosing it off till it’s moderately clean, and then filling it up with water and leaving it out. All five ducks then proceed to go over to the water-filled-trash-can-lid and drink from it, after they are all done drinking, they’ll begin to preen, and sometimes, they’ll waddle into the tub and splash about. I have named the ducks and thus far no one seems to be able to tell anyone but Low-rider apart from the rest...except me. In order from most-liked to least-liked there’s Low-Rider, Jibber, Jabber, Ponder, and Mussolini (he’s always chasing the other’s around threateningly, and then waddles back as if he’s forgotten why). So, today we saw all three of the variety of birds that we usually see. The flying birds, the waddling birds and the hovering birds. Pretty damn good day.
Oh, wasn’t Gilmore Girls good today? I mean, the way Rory handled Mitch! That was so classic. And to think he once told her she wasn’t aggressive so she’d never make it in a news room. And then the whole April birthday thing! Oh, I felt so bad. One step forward and two steps back. I cannot wait to see the next one...it’s so cruel of them to make us wait a week. Can’t they have these things Biweekly or something? That’d be cool...Not too much and not too little.
Oh well. Sleep meds are kicking in and I told Mom I’d start getting up early so that we could start walking again. Goodnight all.

Frustrated
Wow. Another one of those days. Woke up around...when was it?...it had to be about 8 or so. The reruns of Gilmore Girls run at 9:30 and I was actually back in for it. So anyway, while I was fixing breakfast my dad says to me, “Hon, I need your help with something, and don’t say ‘no’.” Which means I was going to be helping him (he told me I couldn’t say no after all -.-). After a quick pop tart and coffee fest for breakfast, I got dressed and went outside. Turns out he needed me to help him with ‘yard work’ of a sorts.
My uncle C (the head of the rich family members) owns a tractor that has a dump thingy on it...you know, it raises the dump bucket and lowers and there’s three levers just to operate the dump thingy. Anyway, it’s a fancy-snancy tractor that has it’s on air conditioned cab, and Dad had been using it to take heaps of mud that he’d previously dug and discarded while digging out our old ditch, and putting them in the lower lying areas of the yard. Well, when the street was paved, there was a crew that came and did some trimming of branches around the power lines. They then chopped the branches into mulch, and for some odd reason, my mom thought we might need a bunch of mulch. So she asked them to dump a bit in our yard. We ended up with a pile that would cover a sumo-wrestler. But we had it right next to our drive way, and Dad was worried that it’d attract termites.
The whole purpose of this rant is for me to explain that he had moved almost all of the pile, but he couldn’t get the stuff at the bottom without someone to help him get it into the dumper’s bucket. He gave me a crash course in the operation of the tractor (I hate clutch vehicles), and I ended up dumping two loads at the back of our lot, onto a dead banana tree. Air conditioned or not, I was still sweating after that was over. I was afraid I’d wreck the tractor or screw up the transmission or something >_> But all was well after that.
Then I watched the rerun of Gilmore Girls only to realize that Mom and I had seen it Friday. Turns out Gilmore Girls reruns at two times, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, but the ones in the afternoon are an episode ahead of the ones in the morning. So if you view Monday’s afternoon GG, there really is no point in seeing Tuesday’s morning GG. I watched it anyway, because it was Emily and Richard’s reconciliation. I liked that part. I hated how Emily ordered Christopher around at the end though. So, I assume that means Luke and Lorelai’s big break-up concerning Christopher will be either next or soon.
Enough about that though. I then went and looked over the adds in the paper. I found three adds to apply for not counting the staffing agencies that I’ve already applied at. I edited my cover letter and printed out three for each, then made resumes and envelopes to go with each. I waited till Mom and Dad had gone over the bills and made out their payments, then I headed to town. I deposited my last check into my bank and got enough cash for a car wash. My car was caked with dust, and I figured if I didn’t get it cleaned now then I never would. So I did that, and then I went to Rouses where they had a post office drop box. I dropped all the mail and then headed back home.
When I got home I discovered I had a letter from Chibi. I was elated. I read it and then I typed up a reply. I then proof-read the reply and write it out on black paper with my new jell pens. I even had enough time to make a MM’s Jellies doodle. That was fun. Of course the down-side to taking such measures when writing a letter means it took up nearly all the afternoon. When Mom poked her head in my room to see if I minded going to town with Dad for something, it was already 4. I checked over all the things I had and realized I’d finished the letter. So I leave the pages all there, waiting to be put into the proper envelope.
I went with Dad to Lowe’s because he too had been productive. He and Mom had bought a new stove. The problem was it was about an inch higher than the last one, so there’s a gap between the counter and the stove. Dad didn’t find anything to fill the space, but I did find some nice base-boards. We also talked about all the things we’re doing to the house, and I told Dad that I don’t really care where we live, as long as it’s not in LA. I’m sick of the hurricanes and worrying about them. And I’m not a natural worrier. I wouldn’t say that I worry about hurricanes, because I don’t. But they are something that you can’t just forget about.
Anyway. We then went to Best Buy and got a wireless router and a USB thingy to plug into old Irene. Mom and dad want to access the internet on the old computer, but they don’t want to run cords all through the walls and such, so we choose to go wireless. The problem is our old Westell doesn’t seem to be on speaking terms with the new Linksys. So we’re gonna give Bell south a call in the morning and ask if they’ve got any solutions (like sending us a new modem or something).
So after wrangling that thing for the evening, I finally to watch CSI: Miami. Great episode, even if it was a rerun. I love Horatio, and Dad hates that Mom and I like him. He thinks he’s stuck on him self, but we both tell him over and over that he’s just an actor playing a part.
I gotta say though, not all of today was a total beast. There was the time Dad and I had just gotten in from Lowe’s and Best Buy. Mom was out on the patio, and she said she was hungry, so I made us all Ramen noodle (beef for Dad, spicy chicken for Mom, and chicken for me) along with some egg rolls and tea. We sat on the back there and just ate and enjoyed the weather. The weather has been quite temperate lately. It’s hot and humid, but there’s always a breeze that keeps you a little cool. We did some bird watching as well, at least mom and I did. Mom and Dad put a little bird house in the tree that’s just off our patio and there’s a tiny sparrow and his little mate inside it. I think she’s nesting, but the house is so small that he usually wont fit in it if she’s in there, so he just hangs out on the ledge of the house outside, peeping in ever now and then. I dubbed them Vern and Shirley. Dad thought it was silly, but I like it. There’s also the hummingbirds. Mom’s got 3 feeders out and they zip on it and feed at each one. There’s two, and Mom thinks it’s a male and a female, because one’s small and has a ruby throat while the other is a tab bit larger (no humming bird is very large) and is very dark brown throughout. It was pleasant. After we sat for a while, I went and watered all the plants including my little cacti. I really should get my camera out and take some pictures. But anyway.
I found out that Lexy (my printer) has this really cool scan feature. If you have more than one page to scan, you just line them up on top, and she’ll scan them all. I had a lot of fun with scanning Chibi’s huge letter. I wanted to remember what I had said because I have a real problem with forgetting who I tell what and I hate repeating myself.
I also managed to write a little bit on my x-men fic. Nothing huge, just a little bit of the next chapter. I think I at least know where the thing is going, so I have a guide post. That’s one thing I hate about not having a set schedule. Since you have plenty of time to do anything, nothing ever gets done. I actually have to crack a whip on myself otherwise I’d never do anything. It’s sad really =.=
Oh well. I’m kinda hungry, and I heard my Mom and Dad mention that they’re having a tomato-gravy & busicuit breakfast tomorrow with a few of their elderly friends. That means it’ll be early so I’d better get as much sleep as I can...and I’ve gotta say I haven’t been having the best night sleeps lately. So goodnight!

The Routine keeps you going
2006-Apr-05, Wednesday 10:39 pmBeware, for I am:
Blah
Not much happened today. Wait...that’s not right. Stuff happened. Lot’s of stuff. What happened today? /thinks Ok..I called the boss-lady and asked if there was any time that she wanted me to come pick up my stuff, and she said any time. I apologized and she ‘accepted my apology’. ...Mom and I went walking. We walked 2 miles and decided to go check out Nanny McPhee at the dollar theater. I think Mom wants to perk me up or something. Truthfully, the only thing that really bothers me besides the lack of income is the lack of productivity. I’m afraid I’ll get lazy if I don’t have something to keep me going. Anyway. Mom and I walked. We saw a few things around the stores to look at on our last lap (the cool-out lap). We ended up going into Bath&Body Works, and I finally got to see (or smell as it were) the Cherry Blossom fragrances that
chaineddove had told me about. OMG, Odango, you weren’t kidding. I have to admit that I like the white and pink products more than the yellow colored ones. They had a white, yellow, and pink variety of cherry blossom stuff and the yellow was way too strong. I like subtle fragrances. Your perfume isn’t supposed to announce you, it’s supposed to accompany you...and all that jazz.
After the walk, we deposited my check into checkings and then we headed over to Burger King to visit with Grandmere. She’s always at Burger King between the hours of 9:30ish to about 11. Allways with gets her biscuit (well done), her medium diet coke (which she refills throughout the day) and sits and talks with her sister and whoever else should wander through the door and be in the mood to talk. We stayed and talked for a while, then Mom had to deposit some money in her bank.
Then we headed over to the agency to pick up my stuff. We got everything cleaned out in record timing; packed it all in a box and was ready to go. I did forget to get Mrs. R to sign my time sheet, but I can sign it and fax it to her and she can sign it and send it on. I hope...Mrs. A has always loved my chocolate treasure candies, and she always finds an excuse to sneak in and get one. So I grabbed a handful and put them on her desk and said “For the road” she thanked me and we were on our way. No one else talked to us. No one else so much as looked at us. /shrug I’ll assume they were all too busy and leave it at that.
We got home and my Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion the Witch and The Wardrobe was in. I love special edition stuff. It’s great so far, and all I’ve watched is the bonus footage. I thought I recognized Mr. Tumnus from the movie, and I know where now. He’s the same guy that played as Leto in Children of Dune. He’s got this really sexy Irish accent. It’s absolutely adorable. I also have this wonderful Unicorn Coloring book that I ordered with it (shut up! It was like $2 and the shipping was free if I added $2 so..so...shut up!). But really, it’s the coolest coloring book I’ve ever seen. But I’m not going to color it till I get a new Printer/Scanner/Copier. I want to scan the pages so I’ll be able to color it as much as I like, whenever I like.
That’s another thing. Poor old Madison hasn’t been working right at all. She says that her black and white print cartridge is not installed properly. But every time I check it, I only find that it is installed properly, and then I take it out and put it in again and all she’ll do is blink at me and say it’s not done right. /sighs Oi, these machines. I can print on her though, which is odd...She just won’t scan or copy anything. I was going to get a new one as soon as I’d saved up enough money to get a really good one, but…well. The best laid plans, no da.
Anyway. Mom was feeling sleepy, so she went and napped while I dove into obsessive fan-girl heaven watching the CON (Chronicles of Narnia) bonus footage. These children are charming...Really. I mean, forget the fact that William Moseley (Peter) is extremely cute. They’re all just such a delight. It was a pleasure to watch them be themselves and have fun. This isn’t a occurrence that I’m accustomed to. I have made it evident on several occasions that I loath children to the very core of my being. And to find myself enjoying watching these children was a surprise. Maybe it’s because they’re British...that must be it.
Anyway. Mom finally got up from her nap. She went outside to read on the patio and she spotted two small wood-peckers. She called me out to take pictures, but my camera was kinda dieing and they were too far off anyway. And much too fast to catch on camera.
I came back and Mom wanted to fix her famous strawberry popsicles. She takes sugar, water and freshly grown strawberries and puts them all in a blender, then into little wax cups and puts a pop cycle stick in the center and freezes them all. She makes like 200 and we slowly eat them over the summer. I washed the strawberries and she blended and poured.
Then I went and made this little colorbar.

Kidd Kraddick is my favorite morning radio show. I was upset that I wasn’t waking up early enough to listen to them on a regular basis after the job thing. So I made this for fun.
Then, I watched half of tonight’s Bones. I’d taped it but I couldn’t get through it and check mail and stuff before CSI: NY rolled around. It was really good...both of them, I just don’t know how Bones ends.
Now, I’m showered and the pills are kicking in (thus the shorter sentences), so I’m off to bed. G’night everyone.

Holy Quadrupeds! I just went on another Black&White 2 binge. Holy Clucking Cow! I swear my eyes wont stop crossing. I tried to draw a road with my hand on my desk! It’s that bad!
I started playing around 11:30 this morning, and I didn’t look up till 6:30. Yeah! That’s how time consuming it is. I started a new game yesterday. I got Island 1 and 2 down. They’re both a piece of cake compared to Island 3! It’s really funny, because you have objectives that you have to do on each island that are interesting and sometimes fun. Sometimes they’re a serious pain in the ass. So, once I got to land 3 I checked out the objectives. As usual, creature has to collect certain things, build certain things; villagers have to do the same. Then I read one of the final objectives.
O.O...!
I was wondering why in the world anyone would want to do that. I mean what purpose could it possibly serve?....I know now. Yup, I fully understand. It’s because when you hit island three, it takes so damn long to do anything...that you just about want to kill every living thing (including your creature) by the time you’ve finished.
I’ve taken over just about ¾ of the island. The only other objectives are to build a Wonder of my choice (the Siren wonder is the cheapest, but I really really want a hurricane wonder. Problem is it costs 600,000 tribute and I’ve only got about 259,000...Sadness), Increase my town’s impressiveness by 30,000 (and I’m at 29,438 so that should take too long) and of course wind the land. I was hoping I could accomplish all the other objectives before I start killing people. I just now recruited a huge army and I’m debating on whether I want to just go out and attack the Japanese settlement, or just try to win them over peacefully...Of course my good conscience would love it if I just kept building an impressive town and just won the Japanese over. But my Creature and my Devil would love to just stomp all over the Japs. /sigh What to do...what to do. Granted it’d be easier to just wage war. Probably wouldn’t take half as long either. But that Japs have a Siren Wonder, so I’d have to send a small group of troupes out first to get zapped by her. Then I could go with the bigger army. After all, it takes time to fuel up a wonder...if they fry five guys it’ll be better than them frying my whole army!
Oh, and I love the interactions between my Angel and my Devil. So much so, that I’ve started taking pictures. Here’ they are!
And that’s it. I know, I know that was huge. It took me how long to type the damn thing up? Jeeze. I really need to get a life. Whatever.
I just sent an e-mail to Lionhead because I remembered that I never did claim my Tiger creature. I had preordered B&W2 long ago, but I couldn’t play it cause we were on old Irene. And now I don’t have the e-mail that gave me the link to the Tiger creature, so I don’t know how to go about down loading it. So I sent an e-mail to them and asked if they could help in any way.
I am now off to go take my shower. Tomorrow will be early, as it always is.

PS: Oh yeah, on another note. I couldn’t get anyone at Bell South to help me with the CoH thing, so I asked CoH if they could just give me a refund and let that be that. No one could ever really resolve the issue and I don’t want to pay for a month of a game I can’t play. /sigh So disappointing. I need to look into bypassing the router anyway in case EQ or any other game I want to play in the future has the same problems. Maybe I’ll figure it out on my own and play CoH later. Oh well. I just really wanted to play now. That’s life I guess.
Pelicans and Japanese stuff!
2006-Jan-30, Monday 02:54 pm
Ecstatic
Ok, several things of note have happened today already, and if I don’t mention them now, I’ll forget.
I saw two brown pelicans today on the way to the hair place. I know you’re probably thinking, “You’re from LA...that’s your state bird...what’s remarkable about that?” Well, Miss. Lane, it just so happens to be the first time I’ve ever seen a brown pelican in my entire life. That’s right. I kid you not. In all my 22 years of life, I’ve never actually seen a brown pelican. Weird no? In fact, I’m one of those people that think they should’ve had the Egret for the state bird. I mean, those birds are all over the place. But no, they had to do something unique. I don’t even think brown pelicans live anywhere above I90.
Ok, so I got my hair cut. I’d take picture and show everyone, but I hate taking pictures of myself and my hair’s wet. But it’s shorter, and it’s layered so it doesn’t feel so heavy, and the bangs are cut to frame my face. I like it.
Also, Mom and I went to Target. Now, usually going to Target means that we do a lot of ooohhh-ing and awww-ing and Want-want-want-ing, but today we actually bought some stuff...that is to say Mom bought some stuff...but it was mostly for me! We’ve been wanting to decorate my room with a Japanese style, and we found the most wonderful things! She got me these things that are basically just wall art, they have a little bamboo and a large kanji with a bunch of discrete little kanji. She also got me these candles that come in a round tray, and the candle holders have kanji all over them. I also think the candles are supposed to represent wind, water, earth, fire, and spirit...mainly because there was the kanji for wind and water on the plastic thing it came in. She also got me this journal that has an autumn leave on it with kanji on it. But the journal’s for something else later on...which I might disclose later, but I don’t want to ruin the surprise right now.
And that has been my day thus far. We shall see how the rest goes later...if I’m up to posting. For some reason I’m so tired now. Maybe it’s just from being so energetic during the day. Oh well. Later!
MM
Have I been out of it, or was that just me?
2006-Jan-14, Saturday 09:18 pm
Indescribable
Yo. It feels like I haven’t posted in forever when really it was only a day without posting. For someone who can do up to 4 posts a day when she gets excited, that feels like a stretch.
Ok, so yesterday I was just feeling blah, you know? It was just a bad case of restless indifferent slothfulness. It sucked. I wasn’t feeling great about where I was or what I was doing, so I did what I always do when that happens; I submersed myself in fan fiction and did nothing else.
By night, I realized I really hadn’t done anything. So, I got on AMOS and hacked away at the old web site. Found a few things that were wrong with the EQ Characters site that I fixed. Then, I started looking over the unfinished site, and realized I have a hell of a lot of work to do.
I did a lot of stuff graphics-wise and sorting-wise, but it feels like I’ve done nothing. I went to bed around 10:30 feeling kinda bad.
I woke up around 2:43 a.m. I was nauseous and hungry-ish. I had gone to bed kinda hungry, but I really didn’t want to eat since Mom and Dad had already gone to bed too. So at 2:45 I slipped into the kitchen and poured out the reminder of the freshly squeezed orange juice Mom and I had made together a couple of days ago. I took a couple of sips, went to the bathroom, and threw up. It was one of those things where you feel terrible while it’s happening, but once it’s over it’s like a relief...kinda like peeling off a scab or something. My relief didn’t last too long. I tried to go back to bed, but I couldn’t sleep. So around 3:20 I slipped back into the kitchen for some water. Threw that up too. I tossed, I turned, I hoped, I prayed, I debated whether I should wake the rents (they’re always so concerned about those things, even though they can’t do anything about them). Then I said to myself, “I’m not sleeping anyway, I might as well try a popsicle.” Mom buys these Dole popsicles. They’re supposedly made from real fruit juice, and there’s less sugar than other brands. So, it took me a while to eat the thing, because my stomach was still so jumpy. I just layed there and bit off a small chunk, then sucked on it till it had melted. After the popsicle was done, I tried to get back to sleep. It took over an hour for my stomach to stop rolling, but I finally did get to sleep.
I slept so hard though, that I didn’t really enjoy it. Then I woke up feeling weird, and told Mom and Dad what had happened. I had a cup of coffee and some peaches for breakfast because I was still feeling terrible.
Then Mom announces that she and Dad need to head to Wal-Mart. And I know that I should go with them, because a lot of the times, they don’t know exactly what to buy me, so it just helps things go a lot smoother if I’m actually there. So, I agreed to go. I dressed comfortably and we headed out. While there, there were a couple of things I noticed, that I’d really like to point out right now.
Our Wal-Mart is being remodeled inside. At first, things were really subtle...a few of the tiles on the floors were missing, some of the departments had actually been moved without anyone seeing it happen, Wal-Mart employees doing a rather impressive impersonation of headless chickens. That sort of thing. But then, we went today and the clothing department had wood flooring. Or at least mock wood flooring...The eye glasses place is boarded up, meaning we’ve got more of a bottleneck to get across the store after check out. All the aisles are facing a different direction, and almost all of the departments are in a different place. The only places thus far that have yet to be moved are the pharmacy, hair, makeup, soaps, and grocery sections. The clothes are all in the same place (mostly), they’re just mixed up...they’re still in the center of the store and all, it’s just that the women’s clothes are where the men’s were...I don’t know where the men’s clothes are; I don’t shop for men.
Ok, I did not know this, but evidently everyone else did. I hate it when people think you know something, so they decide not to tell you. Honestly, how’s anyone gonna learn with that philosophy in mind? Anyway, I found out that Wal-Mart sells Pocky. Seriously. My Wal-Mart has dark chocolate and strawberry flavored Pokcy. And since Strawberry Pocky is one of my favorite snacks, I’ve been buying like 2-4 boxes every time that I visit Wal-Mart. When I tell all my friends that there’s Pocky at Wal-Mart they’re all like, “Oh yeah. I knew that...” and I’m like, “Waterfalls?” In our place it’s near the coffee section, in with other Japanese-ish stuff like Meso Soup and such.
Also another thing that’s always made me laugh about Wal-mart; birds. Alfred Hitchcock would be scared shitless! There are crows and other types of birds all over our parking lot. And not just Wal-Mart (although there seem to be more of them there), they’re in all the parking lots. Now, I’m sure that that isn’t anything new. I’m betting that anyone who reads this will think, “Yeah, my Wal-Mart has a lot of birds in the parking lots too.” This is what I’ve noticed though. Sea gulls. That’s right, sea gulls. They’re all over the parking lot all the time. It’s weird. I mean, they’re sea gulls, right? Shouldn’t they be at the Sea? It’s like that old joke, “Why do Sea gulls only fly over the sea? Because if they flew over Bays they be Bay Gulls.” Well, I guess we have Parking Lot Gulls. Waterfalls? I mean, I often wondered if the states that are close to large bodies of water have sea gulls in their parking lots...
Ok, rants over...for now. I’ll get my second wind eventually. So, yeah, we went to town and I still felt miserable, but it was one of those ‘just deal’ moments. I came home, and I finally wrote out that letter to Odango (
chaineddove). I only started writing the damn thing 4 days ago...or...something...no wait, I started writing on the 8th...it’s the 13th...that’s like, 6 days. Dude. I suck. Oh well, I finally got it all typed up (even the envelope) and it’s stamped and ready to go. It’ll go out with Monday’s mail.
Speaking of mail; yesterday, I ordered the first volume of the second season of Gargoyles. I ordered it yesterday.../thinks...yesterday mid-morning I suppose. I just had the extra money, and I was like, “Ok, I have $50 extra, I’m bored outta my mind...oh...second season Gargoyles...Cha-ha-ha.” So, I ordered it, and then 2 seconds later I get a confirmation of the thing going through, then I get a note from the seller (I bought used/new) saying it’s in the mail today. I was so stoked. So, it went out with Friday’s mail. I was happy about that. It means I’ll be getting it sooner. I’m so happy.
Other than that I’ve been varying between working on my web site and watching Tenchi Universe. I know it’s not the best anime, but it makes me laugh. That’s all I need. I’m still a bit confused why Tenchi in Tokyo doesn’t have it’s on box set...I don’t buy individual DVDs when it comes to anime. If it’s not in a box set, then I’m not gonna get it...9 times out of 10 that is.
Oh well. I still have a few things I’d like to tweak on my web site, and tomorrow will come early as always. So I shall now sign off. Goodnight.

Colorbars for the Sloths of Sloths Gone Mad!

Indifferent
Ok...another day. Gosh, our days have been so bad since we all got sick. I mean, honestly. We haven’t really felt like doing much or going anywhere or anything. It’s sickening just to think of how...well, sick we are. Mom’s much worse than I am. But either way you look at it, I have not been the happiest psycho bunnie for the past week.
So, today. Today Mom and I watched last night’s CSI. So very very glad they had a new one! And this one was good too! I had figured that the case would have something to do with modern werewolfism. The way people treat those poor people. Talk about something that’s sickening.
Oh! There has been this little mocking bird that comes up near my window for the past five days or so. I don’t remember mentioning him, so I’ll just mention him now. I got Dad a outdoor cooking thingamummy. It’s for frying stuff, but it’s for outside. You put pots on it and fry stuff...anyway. Dad set it up outside and he put a couple of pots on it and it’s stayed there fairly well considering the weather. Well, for the past five or so days, a little mocking bird has come up and lighted on the pot that’s on the burner thingy. He stands on the rim of the pot and looks around, and then he jumps down in the pot. And he pecks about, and then he glances up and about to see if anything’s gotten closer, then he pecks some more, then he pops his head up again, and he continues to do it for a solid two minutes or so. Then, he’ll jump back up on the pot and stay there for a while, and then after a while he’ll just fly off. I’d love to know what he (or she, come to think of it) likes so much about that pot...
Anyway. After I last posted here, I got to brainstorming. And I thought it might be fun if all of the Sloths up on Sloths Gone Mad had their colorbars. So I made a few more over on the other computer, and I like ‘em! Here they are.

Nice. I’ve spent the rest of the day fooling around with PhotoBucket and MySpace (but not at the same time). Truth of the matter is, I don’t have that many friends on My Space, so I was checking to see if maybe some people that I knew in town on there. I found one possible person that I might actually have known way back when, and I added
rattgirl to my friends there (much love, sister. Much love). You know you’re not the most sociable person when you go to your MySpcae and it has the new feature of rearranging your top eight, and you can’t do it because you don’t have eight friends.
Other than that, I’ve been fooling around with DreamWeaver a bit, but it still won’t connect to the FTP server and I still don’t know why. Too much longer, and I’ll be contacting Tripod...or Chibi. But most likely tripod.
Oh well. That’s all for tonight. My head hurts and I must shower. I hope I don’t wake up with my head throbbing tomorrow. Goodnight.

Accomplished
That title comes from Mommie, my Dad’s Mom. The only grandmother that I knew. There was a bit she’d seen on TV with these two guys. And one guy says,
“M R Ducks.” And the other guy says,
“No M R Not.” And the first guy says,
“O S M R!”
We have fun saying it to each other every time we see the ducks. We now have six ducks that regularly congregate in our yard. They vary between our yard and Uncle C’s yard. There are four male mallards and one...that we have no clue as to what he is. We love watching them. If any of us have headaches or problems we go out and watch the ducks. They entertain us. The world narrows to something so simple and you don’t have to worry about whatever was bothering you. Dad has an old trash can lid that’s really deep. He fills the sucker up with water and they come to drink and wash themselves in it. They take turns stepping into the water and washing themselves and then getting out and preening. It’s amusing.
Mom put up her humming bird feeders too, and we were humming bird watching whenever we weren’t duck watching. It’s amusing to watch her too. She perches in a nearby oak tree that’s farther away from the porch than the sycamore that’s right outside. She perches in there and preens and looks about and rests and all that. And when she’s rested she rushes back to the humming bird feeder and has another drink. She watches us before she actually drinks, and if we’re still, she’ll stay for quite a while.
I GOT A JOB!!
That’s all for this entry. Mom’s got supper on, and Brother Harvey is supposed to be coming over...which means I must be sociable for a little while. Later.

Bird in a Fish trap...
2005-Jul-25, Monday 04:10 pmAfter surveying the ‘cage’ for a few minutes, I realized that the wire frame was rapped in netting. One end was tied together tightly, while the other end had a long bottle-neck like entry way. I asked her what type of trap it was and she said it was used to catch fish. Fishermen would throw the thing in the water, fish swim in one side bute cant figure out how to get back out. The same applied with this little bird.
This little grey brid (must’ve been a Mocking bird) was anything but listless. She had her beak wide open in case we came too close, and she’d fly to the other end of the cage if we came to where she was. So we got her to the ‘bottle neck’ end and untied the rope holding the netting together at the other side. I helped Mom drag the cage off the cauport and then began to open the netting. That bird didn’t wait for me to get it all the way off; she flew out and into the next tree right away!
I mentioned that she was a spry little thing, to which Mom repled,
“You should’ve seen her mate dive-bombing me when I came upon her.”
For some reason, helping the little brid back to her mate made my day. Let’s hope it stays that way.
