Soooooo, I had an interview this morning. It was for a small part-time position at the local library. It doesn't look like I'll be getting the position though. When I got there, I was surprised when I walked into the office and there was this enormous tabby cat laying on the desk. The lady said the cat was Prince... evidently one of the library cats. o..O I didn't know libraries could have cats... but it seems like a nice idea. But anyway. She asked why I'd quit Hancocks and AMC, and I said because I couldn't stand on my feet all day due to a persistent back injury. Well, turns out the entire 7.5 hour shift is supposed to be on your feet, not to mention carrying books (lifting and bending and such). She and I talked for a bit more, and she thanked me for my honesty and said that if she needed a sub, she'd call me to do a day shift... just to see if I could handle the work. /shrug. You win some, you loose some.

After that, I went by the Revenue office, which is where I got my Arkansas license plate. Alicia pointed out to me the last time we got together that my license plate was missing the month sticker o..o so I went there and told them they'd forgotten to give me said sticker. The lady was happy to give me one. Then I nicked on home.... it looked like it was going to rain a bit, so I went and got all my clothes and towels and put the towels on to wash at Mom's house (Mom's supposed to get a new washer and dryer and I'll get her old set :3).

And while my towels were drying, Alicia showed up o..o' She wanted to show me that she had found out that Transformers 2 was playing at the Imax in Branson. She stayed for a bit and then left to clean the church. It was sprinkling a bit, but I folded my towels and brought them over to my house. Then I got on the mower and cut the grass for the Rent's front and back yard as well as part of my own :) It really didn't take long at all, and when I was done, I packed up my clothes (which had dried by this time) and brought them back home. Then I took a shower.... oh... showers are so awesome ~..~

... I put some incense on to burn... I tell you, I had 2 types of incense before I moved here, Sandalwood and Sex on the Beach (which, can't possibly smell anything like said activity). But, we were at the country mart grocery store, and they had some incense there that I hadn't tried before. So I decided to buy the two sample packs they had. One has five sticks of each, the Patchouly, Nag Champa (both of which I have no experience with), Vanilla, Ocean, Rain, and Opium ..... the last of which I found very bizarre. The others with the exception of Vanilla are very nice. Nothing terribly special mind you, but nice. The other sample pack had like 10 sticks of Orange, Lavender and Sage. I've gotta say, the Sage smells excellent, Lavender too really. Orange...not really so much. Oh, and I got a pack of Jasmine, which smells amazing. I really find that I enjoy burning incense. Dad hates it. So... I burn it a lot when he's offshore -..-

Aaaand tomorrow is the Youth Excursion thingy. And all I can think about is how much I wish I could get some sushi =..= I've only been wanting it since the Mom&Me Branson trip was canceled for the lake trip. Takara did call, and she said that she and Timmy were good to come, but they'd have to be picked up. I'm actually a little disappointed that Lamarr won't be able to join us. I mean, everyone wants to see Transformers 2, but he REALLY seemed to want to see it.... Oh well. We'll have to take him another time =..=

...ok... I'm tired and hungry now. Gonna go scrounge up some food and relax :) I'll talker later, Sunshines.

Your Result: The Midland

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

Of Madness and Methods

2008-Jul-17, Thursday 09:10 am
msmoon: (Voices)

What a week. Saturday night I got a call from Mom saying that a dachshund breeder at our church had told her that she had a puppy that she wanted to sell me for $200. So, Sunday I went and picked up my new puppy (Vernon) and immediately took him to PetSmart to buy what I’d need to take care of him. Monday night, after working a 10-hour day to come home and find Vernon had peed everywhere and was miserable all day without me, I quietly did some math, called my mom and then called the breeder and brought Vernon back. I knew it’d be hard to adapt to having a new puppy and all, but I thought I could manage it. But I realized after working 10 hours a day, even with a day off in the middle and all, I’d be exhausted and wanting to run errands and just relax, and if I had a puppy, I’d have to give myself full-time to training and being with the puppy. It was just too much to ask, not only of myself but for the puppy’s sake, I decided to do the responsible thing, and take him back. It would just be way too selfish of me to try to keep him and struggle so much when he could be with a family with kids that love him all the time and can devote so much time to him.

Funny thing, the breeder said she liked the name Vernon, and she’d continue to call him that since it was such a unique name. The name means “Grove of Alders” or “Flourishing”…but, the only reason I picked it was because I loved the old Ernest movies and I wanted to be able to say “Know what I mean, Vern?” ^..^ After brining Vern back to the breeder, I cried pretty much all the way home...let’s face it, puppies just pull at our heart-strings and I was very let-down at the realization that I couldn’t afford to have a dog at this point in my life. But after all that, I went to bed and woke up the next morning feeling better.

Oh, I got to see Enchanted finally. That’s another movie I’ll have to write a review on…there’s quite a few on the list now, isn’t there? Let’s see...I haven’t reviewed, Get Smart, Phenomena, Wall-E, The Incredible Hulk, Hancock, and now Enchanted. Geeze. I’m so far behind. I’m gonna have to do something about that.

Oh, speaking of movies. I discovered Yahoo movies the other day. I spend an hour or so adding movies to lists and rating them. That was interesting...I’m sure I’ll be about as obsessive with it as I am with my IMDB profile and all.

Yesterday was my day off too, but I ended up heading over to work anyway. I was out in town taking care of a few things, and I called G up and asked, “Who needs a snowball?” She replied with “You’re an angel...” which I assumed meant they’d been through quite a lot. This was around 2:15 in the afternoon of course. I took her and Dena’s order for their snowballs and popped on by. Sure enough, they were the only ones there and the phones had kept them hopping. I hung around, but only to sip snow balls with them and help out a bit.

Church was fun last night. I was introduce to the concept of Carpet Ball, because they have it set up in our class room (kids church) and my class-mates and teacher demanded to play it. After a fun hour of heckling Bro. Joe (the wonderful ADHD teacher), I was invited to Big Eddies, a nearby restaurant. I went with Daniel, his mom and two other ladies from the singles group and all we did was have coffee and talk, but it was a lot of fun.

I decided to go ahead and have a movie-night on a Saturday (the 26th). I posted a bulletin about it on MySpace, but I don’t know how many people pay attention to those bulletins. I know Misty and Celeste do, but a few of the other people I’m friends with don’t seem too interested in it. So I just went about posting comments as invites. The people that don’t have MySpace I invited last night when I saw them at church. The only real confirmation I have is Celeste (who may or may not be bringing her hubby Ryan)…Daniel said he might be off that day, but that’s not really a confirmation or anything. I have decided that I won’t be ordering pizza till people actually show up. I had a whole mess of pizza in my fridge for days because of the last time =..= I like pizza and all, but after a while of eating old pizza…it gets…well, old. I need to delete the old list of movies I have on my MySpace blog and post the newest list…just because I’m OCD like that =..=

Oh, I finally got the last two volumes of Alice 19th in yesterday. So I’m done collecting that series. I want to try and get as much of Furuba and W Juliet as I can now...I’m thinking maybe…one or two volumes per check. I should probably try to get all of W Juliet and The Devil Does Exist beings as all of those are actually available. There are still a couple of volumes of Furuba that aren’t even out yet. So...yeah. Maybe I could just buy one of each manga each check. I’d get them all, just …slowly. /sigh. Or I could just buy up as many of WJ and DDE as I can per check and eventually move on to Furuba whenever I’m done with those two…decisions, decisions =..=

I am so sleepy now...so I shall get back to work. Later, Sunshines.

Dog Sniper

msmoon: (MM - Voices)
I like weapons. Swords mostly, though anything with a blade tends to catch my eye. Axes, Lances, Sickles, Scythes and Tridents. I like them all. I don’t admire guns as much, because I don’t think that guns require the same amount of discipline and training to use. But last night...I really wanted a gun. A small pellet gun or maybe even a scatterer.

Anyone who knows me knows I like animals. Cats are one of my favs, but I like dogs too. But last night, I really wanted to kill me a German Shepherd. My back-door neighbors on the other side of the ditch have a German Shepherd in a 6x3 pen on the backside of their property. And that dog barked constantly between the hours of 7:45 p.m. and 2 a.m. I’m not sure what it was that got him worked up in the first place, but I do know there was another dog somewhere (farther away) that would bark with him. So one of them saw something and it got them to barking, and then the other one barked, and then they forgot whatever it was that was so important and were just barking back and forth.

I did manage to get to sleep around 8ish, thanks to the meds. But around 1 they totally wore off and their constant barking woke me. I didn’t actually get back to sleep till around 2:45. Then I slept so hard and woke up often…When my alarm went off it felt like no time had passed and I was more tired than I was when I first went to sleep. Not cool.

Other than being more tired than usual (and a tad on the cranky side), life’s the same as always.

TGIF (seriously).

Later, Sunshines.

Hectic Morning

2007-Jul-30, Monday 01:25 pm
msmoon: (OMG! ONOZ!)
O..o;; OMG, so groggy, not funny. It doesn’t help that I just did not start my day off right. I woke up 2 hours late O..O major panic attack. I woke up at 7:40 instead of 5:40 and vaulted out of bed. Then I hurried to make coffee, get dressed, take Fred out, fix my hair, put on make up, call work to tell them “woke up two seconds ago, so I might be late”. It was a nightmare.

Not to mention what happened after I got on the road. I turned onto a road, and some guy was pulled on the side of the road, and he took off once he saw me behind him. And I noticed a kitten was in the middle of the road (hit and dead or dying) and another was hurriedly suttling off the road with a hurt leg. That stupid idiot hit those kittens and just took off! I was somewhere between tears and pissed. Fortunately, I had to take some sinus meds before…so I’m sort of muted. Not to mention just feeling off of it…or more so than usual. I swear to drunk I’m not God!

So yeah, this morning was very traumatic for me =..=” But luckily Scamp and Josh will be coming over…in fact they might already be at my house. They said they’d be leaving early so...At least I won’t be as worried about Fred. So hopefully this afternoon will be better. I don’t remember if I turned on the computers this morning O..o’ I sorta had my mind in other places. I did forget to ask her to call me when they got there...oh well.

There’s a peanut butter fudge/cookie tray downstairs…I should investigate that. Later, sunshines.

Distracticon

2007-Jul-18, Wednesday 09:15 am
msmoon: (BC - Basketcase)
Yesterday, my Aunt Batty was taken to the hospital for heart pains. They think one of her arteries is blocked or something. She was hurting pretty badly, and they had to contact the doctor to help her, but they didn’t get in touch with him till an hour later. Mom stayed at the hospital till after 9 last night before coming home. It’s funny how things like that can shake you...even if you know there are treatments that aren’t too terrible, it’s still something you never want to hear.

Luckily Reiko managed to distract me. I’d sent her an e-mail checking on her, and she called right after I got out of the shower. She was going to run errands and wanted to know if I wanted to come along and we could talk. I got dressed, made dinner (stir-fry. Easiest thing in the world to make), ate a bit, and combed my soaking wet hair into the style that I usually dry it in. She came over and I showed her my house and my swords and all the crap that I have that’s packed into boxes. Then we headed over to Pet Smart (where she works) and she bought frozen mice (...Que ?..?) …for her snake, and she checked her schedule. We headed back to her apartment and she fed her snake...which was ravenously hungry and nearly attacked her and her cats, even thought it’s a tiny snake.

I was getting aquainted with a new kitty that they had (found out it was her room mate’s cat) Annya. She seemed fairly friendly and I just introduced myself since Rieko was busy thawing out mice (O..o that’s never going to sound normal). Then she comes in and says “You might not want to pet that cat anywhere but the top of her head. She’s sent 3 people to the hospital already.” And I’m like “Que? O..O Coulda told me that sooner, na no da.” Evidently that cat bites...but it wasn’t acting hostile to me, so /shrugs. MM the cat whisperer ^..^

Anyway, after she checked on her menagerie, we headed back to my house. I made her ramen noodle, loaned her A Midsummer Night’s Dream, gave her Curse of the Golden Flower, and we watched the first episode of Bones. She also consomed a mini Snickers bar, some Raisenettes and most of my Sour Cream and Onion chips...>..> someone had the munchies.

She left when her mom called and said she had pizza O..O Reiko was like, “Dammit, MM, why’d I eat that rammen? I’ve got pizza!” and I responded with, “Hey, I dunno. You pulled it out of my pantry and went into “Please, MM, Please!” Then I went into the “Charlie the Unicorn” voice and kept going “It’s Ramen, Charlie! Ramen with chickeny goodness!” She left soon after and then Mom called and said she was coming home.

I checked my e-mail before going to bed, and I was surprised to see that I had replies to the role play…for the second time today! Of course, by that time I was too exhausted to reply, so I saved it to my jump drive, typed something up this morning, and just took it to work with me today. I sent the reply off this morning...the RPG is actually going really well...I only say that with a hint of surprise because all the e-mail roleplays I’ve participated in have died abruptly when the other part or myself lost interest and it was going no where. Then again…I’ve only ever done such role plays with Rieko =..=

I’m so tired today, and I’m afraid my new shoes have messed up my feet. I swear, my feet and calves are killing me. I’m just glad they weren’t too expensive. Yesterday was just…more action than I’m used to. So, I’m sort of on auto-pilot bitch mode today. And I really should get back to work. But, I’ve done my checking in…and that’s good. Later, Sunshines.

My good friends, if you have not voted on LJ Idol this week, I strongly recommend that you check the poll…and vote for me while you’re at it ^.^

Thanks for your support!

Anywho...man. This LJ Idol stuff kinda takes it outta ya. I mean...I spend the first half of my week agonizing over what I’m gonna write. It’s weird. It’s weird having deadlines on my writing/creativity O.o Makes me wonder if I’d actually be able to do it professionally =.=

Plenty’s been going on. My dear cousin, Scamp, came down with a combination of Bronchitus and salmonella poisoning. That’s right, she had that nasty dinosaur-ridden peanut butter (“Kid’s voice: I think salmonella is a type of dinosaur..” Sha.) She had an upset stomach one day and had peanut butter on toast to settle her stomach =.= Only several days after eating this peanut butter did she hear on the news that all peanut butter with the first numbers “211” on them were recalled because of salmonella poisoning. That’s when the whole sickness thing came to light. SO …she is now recovering from that, although last I heard the bronchitis had gotten beater. Man…she just couldn’t get one sickness. Oh no! She’s too special for that. Damn over achiever issues.

What else is there? Oh, not that much of anything but, on Warcraft, I deleted almost all of my Hoard characters on Icecrown, deciding that Icecrown would be my Alliance server. So Bonnianne (human mage), Qiralyn (Nigh elf Druid), Dolithiel (Draenei Shaman), and Leikra (Dwarf Paladin) are all on Icecrown still. Jezeth (Troll Hunter) is still there temporarily...till I can work up the money to have her switched to Sentinels. Sentinels is where I have my Hoard characters. So far, I have Yaviel (Blood Elf Warlock), Yalisilwen (Blood Elf Hunter), and Suzii (Tauren Warrior) on Sentinels. Although, I haven’t gotten the chance to actually play Suzii much =.= I gotta admit...I’m not that into Warriors...I only made her as a Warrior because she’s got Druid, Shaman, Hunter and Warrior as her only options; and dammit! I want a Tauren! They’re…cool…..even if I can’t figure out a way to make such a character interesting…I’m just very warily of making her a hunter, because then that’ll be 3 hunters. Some might say having two hunters is like having the same thing. Oh, no my friends. Having a Troll hunter and a Blood elf hunter are two very different things. But, having a Troll hunter and a Tauren hunter might be very similar. So I’m staying away from that class...even though I do love the Hunter class. So, it was either Druid, Shaman or Warrior and I thought, “hmm…never really played as a warrior…*shrug*”.

Another thing I’d been wanting to do was make some sort of RPG icon for LJ, but have it with my old characters from EQ and my newer characters from WoW..like a moving Giff. Only for some reason, LJ never liked the giffs I made before when I had working corel draw and now that it’s busted I’m sorta stuck. It keeps “Unable to create a DOM document. Class not registered. Verify that MSXML4 is installed”. So I’m prowling the internet for that, even though I’m not sure what I’m doing O.o’ I’m trying the Windows site now…let’s hope that helps. (It’s what it’s there for right?)

Also, I finally ordered something from Amazon.com. Well, a few somethings actually. I figured, I haven’t ordered in a while, I’ve been watching my money like a good little girl, and I got a nice refund from the tax people just recently, so it’s ok to actually get something for myself. Plus pay-day is this Friday, and I did so good between pay-days that I had lots of cash in the bank still. I’ve been meaning to expand my (nearly nonexistent) Manga collection for some time now. I have something like 3 or 4 series up on my Manga wish list, and I’ve yet to start acquiring any of them. So I bought the first and second volumes of Fruits Basket; one of my favorite animes every. Before this anime came along, I had no idea there was such a thing as genki angst. Then I also go a DVD called The Greatest Journeys on Earth - Japan: Journeys on the Tokaido, because while I do enjoy reading, if it comes to something such as learning, I can’t learn very well from reading. Now, if it’s on the History channel or Animal Planet or the Discovery channel...it stays in my brain for years. So buying documentaries on stuff I think is cool works. I also go I’m not Dead by Pink...just because ^___^

…….I think that’s it for me. I’m gonna give a slight ‘Mouto-chan update. Chibi is still doing very well at college in Arkansas. She said that this semester is much easier than the others (though by no means easy) and she’s allowed a bit of a social life. She also said that she’d be coming down for …something…not Spring Break but something else that they have, and it’d be around May-ish. Then she probably wouldn’t be down till Christmas break, which really works because Scamp and I might actually be moved into the Nexus by then and we could have our Christmas celebration there! Coolness! On the Reiko front, things have been fun. Reiko called me Wednesday (I think it was…) and asked if I planed to live with my parents forever…like I’ve got the word “Looser” tattooed on my back or something. It’s not what she said, but how she said it. I informed her that Scamp and I would be moving in the Nexus later in the year. Turns out she’s looking at buying a house in Hammond because it’s closer to the school she needs to go to, and she can buy one at auction cheap from the state. Of course, she’d looked to me as a potential room mate…but that was till she realized I’d have my own house. She also has a new pet rat (her rats are cute guys…seriously. Stop making those faces! They’re really sweet!). Her first pet rat is Milo…he’s kind of this off grayish rat…maybe white with grey tips or something. Anyway, he’s pretty big, and she has her grey cat Chimera (after the band), and Pet Smart (where she works) gave her another rat, because it’s tail is stubbed off and no one wants it. She’s a lot smaller than Milo and she’s dark brown (mouse brown ^.^). She said that she wants to mate the female to Milo later once she’s matured. She asked me what I thought she should name it, and I told her to name her “Joyce”. For you Milo & Otis fans out there, I’m sure you know why ^____^…oddly enough it feels like my ‘Mouto-chans are moving far, far away from me….s’a good thing Scamp’s moving in soon. Otherwise, I’d feel abandoned or something =.=

Eureka! Corel is now working! I just needed to download something from the windows site and I’m good! Thank goodness.

Well, my sleeping meds are kicking in. I’ll be logging off, sunshines. But here’s a nice bout of Sunday Quizzes for you…

Today seemed like quite a day, when really not much happened. I talked with my Twin earlier, Mom sent me to the store to get the minimum amount of groceries we needed, I picked up po-boys for us on the way home, I came home and washed clothes, and I played Black&White 2 till Trading Spouses came on. Then I watched that with Mom.

Oh yeah! Tonight, during Trading Spouses, we got a call from my Aunt Carolyn. She wanted to know if we’d mind watching Max for the night. Max is my Cousin’s dog, and Aunt Caroyln had said she’d watch him, but she can keep him inside her house and it turned really cold out. We’ve watched him before, and he’s very well-mannered and sweet so we said we wouldn’t mind at all. He’s a ...hmm...how does one spell it without cussing? A Shih Tzu? It’s something like that. Anyway he’s cute and adorable. I figured I might as well post pics of him.

Shih what )

I guess that’s all for today. I’m kinda tired from the past two nights of not sleeping well. I’m gonna go walk Max and then go on to bed. Goodnight.

Well, so far the City of Heroes is being a pain. It turns out that it’s my router that’s causing the problem. The people at CoH asked if I could bypass the router, and I was like ‘Uh...how?’. They sent me an e-mail saying, Go to this page and it’ll show you an example of different routers. You said you had the Westel router, so check and see which one you have and then after you find your router it’ll tell you how to configure it. Unfortunately when I got to the page, all of the links were 404. They said that I’d have to contact Bell South to figure out how to bypass the router. Wonderful. I can see that this may take a while.

[personal profile] rattgirl posted about getting a Jack Russel Terrier with a picture of Wishbone in her journal, and for some odd reason it made me want to talk about my stuffed animals. I have a Wishbone stuffed animal, so I guess that’s why. So the stuff below the cut is all [personal profile] rattgirl’s fault.

God, today was...interesting.

Woke up around 9. Ate, had coffee, Mom went to town with Aunt Batty. I got ready to go to that Staffing place and Reiko called. She said she wanted to borrow Red vs. Blue and I said I didn’t mind. She even brought me my calendar that I’d ordered, lo, those many months ago. She came over and when she saw what I was wearing she was all, “Why are you dressed up?” so I told her I was going around and passing out resumes and all that. She left and I got on the road.

Unfortunately, I got to the place around 11:30 a.m. and they stop taking applications at 11...of course they start taking them again at 1:30. That is one seriously long lunch break. So, I took an application plus all the paperwork, and headed to town. I went to Burger King and filled out the applications there. Then I went around to Wal-Mart and Office Depot. I was checking to see their prices on computer microphones. I’ve always wanted to buy one for myself so that I could do recordings too, like on Sloths Gone Mad. Well, Wal-Mart had a desk microphone for $9.98, but Office Depot had a lapel/monitor microphone for $7.99. I expected Wal-Mart to have a better price, but Office Depot had better.

After that I headed back to the staffing place and had my interview. The nice lady there said they would test my skills in office and then they would start seeing if a position came in. So, my appointment to ‘test my skills’ is on Tuesday the 17th at 2:00 p.m. Which is good, ‘cause that gives me plenty of time to wake up and have lunch. She said that the test usually takes like 2 hours or something so that means I’ll need to eat a nice big lunch and perhaps I should go comfortable. I dunno. I think I might like it better if I go comfortable, but if I go dressed up and in make up it’ll give me an idea of what professional life would be like. God, I hate wearing make up. I mean, guys don’t wear it. And if charm is deceitful and beauty is vain then why bother? But then, everyone judges everyone else by appearance. Except me of course. I don’t give a damn either way.

Ok, so I got home, and had a sandwich. But since I had been nervous about it all, I wasn’t that hungry for lunch and I kinda skipped it. That was a bad idea. I should’ve made myself eat. Because after everything was over, I was starved and got super hungry. Then, I got a sinus headache and took some meds for that. Consequently, I was really really really spaced out at church tonight.

I will be posting my church entry in [profile] ruby_unicorn, because there are some things that I don’t want the whole world seeing that I wanna say.

Anyway. We picked up Fred from Aunt Batty. They’re going out of town this weekend, so we’ll be dog-sitting for them. We really don’t mind, ‘cause Fred is really low maintenance. He’s really cute too. Here’s a picture of the little guy.

Pic of Fred )

But anyway. I’m really tired from this crazy sinus medication. I’m gonna go shower and then it’ll probably be off to bed for me. Goodnight.

WOOT! This is my first message to you from AMOS. I'm so excited! There was that time for a few days where we didn't have any internet, but now it's all fixed. Thank goodness -.- Oh, and there's so much to write on too. Let's see, there's work of course which is over (another Thank God). Then of course, AMOS and all the trouble it was to get him up and running. Oh and then there's the church and Reiko thingy. And the DVD that I finally got in. Ok...I need to calm down and actually explain all this.

I finally got off of work. I really began to hate the place. I just got so sick of dealing with all the mean, stupid, cranky people...and then there were the customers. Lets just say that some people managed to say quite a bit of hurtful things before I left. My opinions of the place were dampened significantly. However, there are a select few people there that I still think very nicely of. Notice I said ‘nicely’ not ‘highly’.

And then there's the 'other job' at the small engine place. Well that fell through. Apparently it's a problem if I have ADD...When I mentioned it, the lady said they all had ADD, so I never even considered that it'd be a problem. But I guess I was wrong. I'm not allowed to have faults, only they are excused for such things.

So, I'm unemployed ...again. I'll start looking for a new job soon. I'd really like to rest and finish cleaning my room. Now that it’s clean, I find that I enjoy it very much. I can’t wait to show it off to everyone who actually knows me and what my room is always like. It’s such a improvement. The only things that still need work are my closets (clothes & movie). But I’ll be able to work on them with the whole job thing out of the way.

Ok, the computer problems. /sigh. Well, first we bought the computer. AMOS was here and everything was looking up...then Brian came over to hook my other 250 gig hard drive into AMOS...Well, I was at work, so I’m not sure about everything that happened. Apparently I can’t put the 250 gig thingy into AMOS for some reason, but Brian said he ‘had another way to do it’ which mystified me when Mom said that. I was a bit disappointed, since I really wanted that 250 gig thingy in AMOS, but it didn’t bother me too much. I was really surprised when Mom said that we apparently had internet still on Irene...But then I realized that she was mistaken. Then I realized that we didn’t have internet at all. I wasn’t terribly upset by this…or at least, I would’ve been if I hadn’t been so tired from working and all. But then, reinstalling the internet became such a hassle.

But honestly, I do love the new computer. It’s got 820 Intel Pentium D processor, 1.0 GB memory, 250 GB hard drive and it can watch and record live TV with the personal Video recorder & FM tuner. Of course it isn’t hooked up to the TV, but still! It could do that. It also has this little media drive that fits stuff into and you can store the entire hard drive onto and just take it with you...which, I think is pretty cool. Then there’s the 9 in 1 memory card thingies. This way, I can actually take a picture and have it put on the computer. Now I can actually tell you that I’m doing something and that I’m taking pictures of it...and I can show you! /pets AMOS..

Anyway. Wednesday was…interesting. I went to work (9-4) and got this vibe from Mrs. D and Mrs. Shirley that I really didn’t like. Then a customer asked me a question, and I didn’t know the answer…I am still new, so that does tend to happen. So I referred them to Mrs. D and Mrs. Shirley. Whenever I started walking back over there to see if there was anything else that needed fixing, I over heard Mrs. D saying “Oh, Tracie doesn’t know anything! Thank God tomorrow is her last day!” and then she stomped off in a huff. I was partially hurt, but partially expecting it. So, I wasn’t in the most charitable moods yesterday. I got home, and Mom and I ate, and she got this thingy full of hot water and Epsom salt to soak my feet in…it doesn’t make all the pain go away, but it doesn’t help…sorta.

Anyway, we’re just sitting there and who calls but Reiko. I was like “?_?” But her mom wanted her to go to church, and she didn’t want to go to her mom’s church cause she doesn’t like that the people there are really touchy-feely. So, she asked if we’d pick her up. I said sure. It’s been a while since I’d seen her. I’ve already figured that she doesn’t really care about me as a friend, or at least I’m not on her list of priorities, but if she wants to forget about me and then just pick up out of the blue, that’s fine with me.

So we went to church, and we sat in the darkest corner of the room. We did a notebook role-play (except for those times we were interrupted when Reiko had to go and smoke -.-), and that was that.

And then…I got home…and I installed Black&White 2 into my computer. Of course, I don’t have that link that was sent to me for my tiger creature, but I didn’t mind. I was so happy to play. And play I did…for hours. I looked up after I’d finally established a huge town in one of the lands, and thought, “It’s probably late…I should shut ‘er down.” and when I logged off it was 1:05 a.m. O.O And then I realized I was hungry. =.= So I ate something and Watched Alice Through The Looking Glass. Oh yeah, that’s the other thing. I finally got that movie in. It came in /thinks Tuesday…I believe. I was so happy to finally get it in. And it’s as corny and interesting and funny as I remember it.

Today wasn’t much of anything worth recording. The only really great things that happened today were that I finally got the internet working and I finally got away from Hancocks. Other than that, there’s no use in relating the day.

When I finally checked my e-mail, I had like, 22 messages. I was a bit discouraged to see that no one that I actually knew had e-mailed me, they were all newsletters or junk mail. But then, I suppose no one really looks forward to my posting as much as I enjoy and look forward to everyone else’s posting. Such is life.

And with those happy words, I must be off. Though AMOS is up and running, there is much that I must download before he’s really up to par. I only just got GarGirlMM up on AIM! Oh well. That’s all for tonight everyone.

depressed
Your feeling is depressed...

You always seem to be depressed and cry easily. You
are a bit (ok, more than a bit) over emotional
and are too sensitive. You rarely smile, and
when you do, it's very weak... your eyes always
seem to be misty and though others have tried
to console you of your sorrow in the past, no
one can seem to get through to you that there's
more to life than being sad. No no one seems to
hang around you anymore which makes you feel
worse, and you feel as you're loved by no one
except maybe your family. People might see you
as the "girl who doesn't talk to
anyone", and you may be sort of a loner,
but that doesn't mean you want to be. What
hurts you is people being mean and even though
you might not get it that often, since you're
so sensitive it still makes you deal with pain.
You're not a leader and are usually the person
who stands alone, does what she's supposed to
do and nothing else.

Yo. Today was...ok, I suppose. Woke up around 9:45ish. I had a strange coughing-fit during the night and my throat was killing me, so I made myself some cappuccino. Mom had to go somewhere to do something...I think she had Mrs. T check over the check book. So I was left home with little Fred.

Fred is a black miniature poodle. He’s Aunt Batty’s dog, but they were going to Tennessee, and they couldn’t take him with them. So, we dog-sit for them. Anyway, Fred is cute though. Let’s see if I can find a picture of him...ah here we go...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Fred is the little ball of fluff that’s laying against my dad’s side. Oh, that’s my dad in the pic, btw.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Here's another good shot of little Fred.

Anyway...hm...I lost my train of thought...But I was here with Fred, so I surfed around on the internet. Then, when Mom called and said she’d be coming in, I took Fred out for a walk. It was...probably around 12ish, and I hadn’t even eaten breakfast. So, When I was walking Fred, I checked the mail and got a TV dinner out of the shed. Fred was a bit freaked out by the shed...too many things I suppose.

After eating and a bit of waiting, the lady from the Small Engine place called and asked if I could meet with her around 4.

While we waited, I wrote stuff. Then I finally got dressed and put on make up (which I hate), and we got ready and went to town. We stopped by the car wash, and let the sucker wash my car. I don’t know why Mom bothers with the thing. Since our road is all dusty and white, it doesn’t matter how much we wash it, it’ll still look terrible a few days (hours) later. But we did anyway. I dropped Mom off at the mall...she has this thing about how she doesn’t want me to go to interviews with her. Something about how people would judge me if I had her with me. I don’t care in the least, and if someone’s gonna judge me by who I have waiting on me in the car, as opposed to my actual credentials...then it’s their loss.

But I’m ranting. So, I did the interview thing. It sucked big time. The lady who came to interview me didn’t have any real questions for me so we basically just sat around and tried to think of stuff to say to each other for the entire 30 minutes of it. Also, from what she’s telling me, I won’t have an office like Mr. Neil told me, but I’ll have to work with the guys on the floor. Of course this means I’ll be sitting on a stool, looking up parts on the internet, working their data base, and waiting on customers, but it’s just not what I or my parents were told in the beginning, so it’s kinda disappointing. But, I’ve already given Hancock’s the 2 week notice, so I figured I might as well try this one. Nothing bad can come from trying right? The worse that will happen is I’ll hate it. But I was looking for a job when I found this one. God I can’t wait till we move.

Oh, and has anyone noticed that little storm we’ve got that’s currently bitch-slapping Honduras, the Grand Cayman islands, and Cuba? I hate to quote Fred Flintstone, but...

WILMA!!!!

*clears throat* yeah. She’s already a cat. 5 hurricane, and they’re expecting her to hit Florida...Poor Florida. I’m so sick of all these super hurricanes we’re getting. Do you guys realize that if another one comes, we’ll be seeing Hurricane Alpha...Ok, if ever we get to a Hurricane Omega it’s time to leave LA for good. Quickly.

Anyway. Moving away to other thoughts. Mom and I then met up at the mall, and walked half a lap. We stopped in at Cucco’s and had some Macho Nachos. Then we headed to Wal-Mart. Mom’s feet get really tough, and she sometimes gets Dad to scrub all the hard skin off her feet. So she figured instead of having Dad do it when he comes in only for him to leave Saturday, why not go to Wal-Mart and get a pedicure. So she got a pedicure while I looked around. I found a bunch of things I wanted in the electronics section (not computers this time). I found these cool shelves that are only like, 3 feet high, and they have doors that close and everything and they’re for storing ‘media’. Meaning CDs, DVDs, and VHS. But I’ve vowed to get rid of all my VHS and replace them with DVDs, so I would use these as DVD cabinets. But the great thing is you can stack them on top of one another. So, I could get like 4 and have 2 shelf sets. I also found some CD cases (for all my Data CDs), and some DVD-RW’s.

When Mom was finally done we headed back to the mall to watch War of the Worlds at 7:10…you know...I don’t know exactly what I was expecting...but this one didn’t do anything for me.

Spoilers. Look at your own risk! )

*shakes head* Oh well. Now we are home, still shaking our heads and thinking how stupid that movie was. I know Mom hated it, but I warned her it was War of the Worlds and she still wanted to see it. When we sat down, I said, “You do know what this is about right?” and she said, “No...” and I’m all like O.O wtf?

Anyway. We’re home, Fred’s been walked, we’ve eaten...I shall go shower, and I hope to sleep late tomorrow.

Goodnight!

Yo. Mom called me outside a few minutes ago and asked me to help her with something. She pulled this huge, long, round cage thing up to the cauport. Then she informs me that this little bird has gotten caught in the cage, and she doesn’t know how to get out on her own.

After surveying the ‘cage’ for a few minutes, I realized that the wire frame was rapped in netting. One end was tied together tightly, while the other end had a long bottle-neck like entry way. I asked her what type of trap it was and she said it was used to catch fish. Fishermen would throw the thing in the water, fish swim in one side bute cant figure out how to get back out. The same applied with this little bird.

This little grey brid (must’ve been a Mocking bird) was anything but listless. She had her beak wide open in case we came too close, and she’d fly to the other end of the cage if we came to where she was. So we got her to the ‘bottle neck’ end and untied the rope holding the netting together at the other side. I helped Mom drag the cage off the cauport and then began to open the netting. That bird didn’t wait for me to get it all the way off; she flew out and into the next tree right away!

I mentioned that she was a spry little thing, to which Mom repled,

“You should’ve seen her mate dive-bombing me when I came upon her.”

For some reason, helping the little brid back to her mate made my day. Let’s hope it stays that way.

Merry Christmas

2002-Dec-25, Wednesday 01:37 pm
msmoon: (Crescent)

Hey Minna. I'm at my Aunts house--my Mom's sister, Aunt Anne--and we're having a small Christmas. We oppened our gifts last night, but today we're having a Christmas dinner...lunch...supper...enh whatever. This morning I woke up around 7:30 and we ate breakfast then I took my shower and Aunt Anne cut my hair. She's a hair stylist extrodinare. My hair feels light and fluffy now. Then Aunt Lane came over and she had her hair done and Mom started making gumbo, potato salad, and green been casarole. They invited Uncle Billy over too. He's one of the funniest uncles I have. Aunt Anne is gonna put some highlights in my hair so we may be staying the night.

Before we left I got two packages in the mail. I was like O.o;;; for one of them 'cause it was a romance novel I'd had in my wish list. We had to pick up a dog in a kennel and take it with us for a lady who lives near Delcome. She was a cute little chauau mix named Margarita. The lady seemed to love her too so that's great. But anyway, we forgot several things so we hung a louie and headed back to the house. I decided to sit in the back seat with the dog so she wouldn't cry so much and I opened my second package back there and Mom was like

"What is it?" and I'm all like

"It's a book I had on my wish list." and Mom asked.

"One of your anime things?" and I'm like

"No, just something I had my eye on for a while."

But then I got a new CD in the mail too, the new Nick Carter CD and I was thinking that came from Twin-san, but it seems more likely that the book would come from Twin-san...so I was thinking maybe Chibi got me the CD and Twin-san got me the book...but then Chibi got me some cool web graphics for my site and I was really happy with that so it's still a mistery.

Anyway, we drove to like...the outskirts of Delcome and then mom let me drive the rest of the way. We went to Aunt Lanes and went shopping--I got a nice new shirt out of it that I'm wearing right now and will probably wear to church Sunday. Then after we got home we called the lady who wanted the dog and we met her at a Toyota place and gave the dog to her. Then we went to Aunt Anne's house and spent the night. Kenny Joe was there and we all opened our gifts that night. Everyone got something they really loved so it was great. Then we slept and now they're all cooking in there.

I'm sorta anxious to get home though since Aunt Anne's internet connection totally sucks and I won't be surprised if this entry get's lost. And then I didn't get a chance to pick up a copy of the schedule for this week so...I'm a bit worried. I'm probably gonna be working New Years Night, 'cause that's what I asked for. If you have a sweetheart then you do want your New Years night off but otherwise it's no big deal. Ah well, I'd better end this before the connection dies again. That's all she wrote.
