msmoon: (OMG! ONOZ!)
I kinda left ya’ll with a cliff-hanger there didn’t I? Opps. Sooo....lots has happened since my last post. Dad’s bedroom still isn’t really finished. The paint is on the wall and it looks great, but we want to repaint the metal bed frame. It’s supposed to be white and due to age it’s more of an ivory right now. So, we got some spray paint and were planning to do that...I’m getting ahead of myself. Let me start with the insanity at its origin.

So, after I left ya’ll Thursday, Mom and Aunt Carolyn came back from the store with spray paint and...whatever else they went there for. We decided that the kilz had dried, and it was time to start painting. So, we set ourselves up with a system, learning from our mistakes with the kilz. Y’see Dad’s room (and mine as well) is panelled, so there are grooves at varying widths throughout the room. When we’d tried to roll on the kilz primer, the grooves left voids. So, we learned, go over the lines with a paint brush first, then roll out the roller! So, the system was, me on the floor taping off the base boards; Mom using a simple brush to paint the lines, and Aunt Carolyn working on the trim around the two windows and ceiling (she’d get to the base boards when I was done taping off). Aunt Carolyn said that she could do the other trim just fine, but due to gravity, she’d need the tape for the base boards....so there ya go. Now, this continued till I’d taped off all the base boards and Mom had painted all the lines. The trim took a lot of time, being as it’s careful work. Then, I grabbed a roller and started painting what I call the center zone.

Center Zone: Painting Ref. - The center of the wall easiest to reach, between the top (nearest the ceiling) and the bottom (nearest the floor).

<..< uh...yeah.../clears throat. So...I had all of one wall painted and half of another, when my hand started to cramp. Mom took over, letting me rest. I didn’t rest long though. I went in and got my camera to get pictures of us actually working and all. Then I came back and started working again. Mom and Aunt Carolyn were both up and tending to the top zone nearest the ceiling........Then....It happened.

Without any warning or provocation, Aunt Carolyn went to step down from the stool she was on to reload her brush, her ankle gave out, she fell down.....and knocked right into the full can of paint, knocking it over onto the carpet in a huge glob ;_;

Yeah...talk about scurrying. We scurried to make sure she was ok, and then I hopped up and ran to the bathroom for towels, ran back to soak up as much of the paint as possible. It didn’t really matter though, the damage had been done. Aunt Carolyn was so upset with herself, but it’s not like it’s something that she did on purpose. Accidents do happen after all, and there’s no use in placing blame. In fact, Mom and I were more upset with ourselves; earlier when we started priming the walls, I told Mom that we should spread that tarp over the entire floor as opposed to just over the computer desk so that if there were any spills it wouldn’t damage the carpet =..= When did I become psychic? Srsly, I don’t want that type of power....at least not until I’ve gotten myself a job in middle management...

>..> ....anyway. So, we soaked the carpet in water, oxiclean, tough stuff and a number of other stain removers. We used Aunt Carolyn’s steam cleaner and Mrs. Karen’s shampooer....the stain isn’t as solid as it was but...it’s still prevalent. Not to mention, the water we used for cleaning and the shampooer seems to have spread, staining most of the carpet surrounding the original stain. I told Mom that it might be time to invest in a room-size area rug to complete the ‘makeover’ :)

Knowing Dad, he’ll probably say, “Looks nice! Paint the entire floor that way!” or something like that. I doubt it’ll really faze him. Still, it was just one of those things that kinda sickens you. Talk about bring the mood down -..- We did finish painting the room, and the walls look awesome (the carpet, not so much). We’ve loaded the dresser and end tables back into the room, and we’d planned on taking the tarp off of the computer desk and putting it outside with the bed frame so that we could spray paint the bed and all....and then it snowed yesterday >..< It was all gloomy, windy and humid Friday, so we really couldn’t have done it then. I mean, that needs time to set and if the conditions are not right, it will look terrible.....so...yeah. As long as we can get one good day...just one good day!....before Wednesday =..= This is looking more and more impossible. Still who knows.

In totally unrelated news, my replacement printer finally arrived. I hooked it up and...it didn’t work at first....so I unhooked it, uninstalled the software, deleted the printer from the computer’s printers & faxes thingy, and then reinstalled the software and re-hooked up the computer. It works fine now (thank God). If it hadn’t worked...I think I might’ve busted a blood vessel in my head at the very least. So now, I just have to box up an ship the old malfunctioned one back.

Oh...yeah...it snowed yesterday. It started around 9 a.m. and they said it’d go till Midnight...not sure if it did (it gets dark out and you just don’t see the white stuff falling), but it definitely got a lot of coverage in. I took some pictures, but most of them are from inside. I did go outside to check the mail and send a letter off to Scamp, so I took pictures when I went out, but the weather really didn’t encourage one to remain out in it. I mean, the wind was so strong, it nearly knocked me down. Not to mentioned all your extremities get that ‘seep in and stay’ cold, to the point they feel like they’re on fire when you step inside. I’d never seen a white out before (well, unless it rained really hard in LA, and I used to call that a gray-out :D), but yesterday almost was one. It was snowing lightly in the morning, but when the latter half of the cold front passed through, from our house, we couldn’t see the trees on the other side of the road o..o Luckily, my Arkansas cold weather initiation began and ended with the January Ice Storm...

...I can’t think of anything else to write...I need to post some pics to FaceBook and MySpace...enh...maybe later =..= I’ll talk later, Sunshines.

msmoon: (Are you ok?)

Ice storm....huge event. I don’t know if anyone’s seen the news but, our area was seriously a disaster area. In the most serious sense of the word. I have tons of pictures up on
FaceBook and MySpace. If there is one thing this experience can prove to me, it’s that while ice and snow storms generate amazing pictures, those pictures will not keep you warm should the power go out....still, it’s a great way to get creative and something to send to friends after the power comes back on.

Let’s see....the last time I posted here was Monday...and we were just hunkering down for the storm to really hit. Tuesday ...there was ice everywhere. About an inch to an inch and a half on the ground, on the roof, on the trees and branches...everywhere. I did manage to get out with my camera and zeiss, and I got footage of it all. It was very miserable thought, because while the ice had already fallen, it was still raining....so, I was constantly getting hit by varying amounts of freezing water. At one point, I stayed out a little too long, and I came back in and had tiny droplets of ice in my hair. It was pretty interesting. Some time in the afternoon, we began to play the only game available during freezing rain... ‘what’s breaking outside’. The tree limbs had just gotten too heavy and were started to just snap off. In one instance I even got a limb falling on camera. And Tuesday night around 10, our power went out. It had been flickering all day long, and we really were just waiting for it to happen. Mom and I made sure the fire was secure and then we hunkered under our microplush sheets. I tell you, that is a product I will always stand by. In the winter, they’re absolutely necessary. The sheets form a cocoon really, and they trap body heat, so you’re consistently warm throughout the night. I had no idea it was even cold while I was sleeping.

Wednesday ....was a different. Mom and I put on 2 layers of clothes just for around the house (it helped feel comfortable). Then we went outside with the camera, because it had stopped raining and snow had fallen during the night. It was lovely out. The pictures from that morning are also up and they far exceed the ones from the day before. We took pictures, we took video, we clowned about...and then we went back inside. I had hurt my back sometime Monday night - my syatic nerve was killing me, but there was nothing for it. So I moved a little more awkwardly, but I still managed to help Mom get the fire going. We were going to try and use Dad’s butain tank and burners to cook breakfast.....but the tank was empty. So, Mom, insistent on having something warm, put a pot in the fireplace and made herself some coffee (cappuccino, that is). We both had that along with reusing yesterday’s bacon by putting the cold strips between some biscuits. It was an ok breakfast, especially considering the circumstances. We grabbed about 4 microplush blankets, hauled our chairs in front of the (open) fireplace and just hunkered down. It was surprisingly warm really.

I remember calling Scamp at some point, which was funny since, right after I called her I remembered that I had started to reply to her letter the night before and decided to pick that up as well. When I was getting a crick in my neck from that, I turned to New Moon. Mom actually fell asleep in her recliner, and then at about 3:40ish, the power came back on. We immediately hopped up, fixed warm food, resituated the living room, and did what we knew we had to do just in case it might go back off again. I remember writing a little paragraph in the letter to Scamp about the power coming back on, but I couldn’t just sit there and not help Mom with stuff that needed to be done....so, I had to drop that and pick it back up again later. After over and hour of buzzing about, I finally got to send a text to everyone who’d been concerned telling them we had power back. I also got all my pictures onto a jump drive and then onto Makoto-san so I could post them to FaceBook and MySpace. I was still too tired to write an entry then (it took hours to upload all the pictures to every medium I need =..=).

...I honestly do not remember anything that happened Thursday. I know the snow and ice was seriously melting at that point...and I’m sure that I went out with Zeiss and got footage of its progress. But other than that, nothing really sticks out.

Friday, the ice had finally melted enough that we could get out of the house. Our neighbours could as well, some of the less fortunate ones who still did not have power came over and took showers at our place. I was content to stay on Makoto in the living room and lightly pay attention to whatever conversation may transpire...but then the 15 year old Jennifer came out of her shower with an Edward and Bella shirt on....needless to say, my response was “Oh, she’s a Twilighter.” and that got the girl talking. As with all Twilight fans, Twilight is a bridge between ages and backgrounds. It didn’t matter that I was 11 years older than her or that we perhaps had no other common interests....I was a Twilighter and she was a Twi-Teen. I had made a friend :)

Also, as a side note to all my fellow Twilighters, I’d just like to briefly draw your attention the the
Borders web site, where a special edition Twilight is available for $29.99. From what I can tell, this is the cheapest price for this product. Sure, I may not be able to afford it, but perhaps you can :)

Anyhow. Today, was the start of bloody hell week for me. And while I did manage to crank out one chapter of a story for Scamp to beta for me, I doubt anything else will be done for another 5 to 7 days. My back is still killing me, to the point that I can no longer ignore it. At this point, I am going to have to consider finding a doctor to figure out what is going on with this. Yesterday, I was putting my clothes away, squatting down in front of my bedside drawers, and when I began to stand, my legs gave out on me entirely. I tried to grab for something to keep myself from falling, but I was falling so fast I couldn’t get a grip on anything. I toppled backwards into my closet door, and broke the door off its track =..= That...hurt. After I managed to pick myself up off the floor, I limped into the other room and told Mom. She agreed that we will have to get this checked out.

I can’t think of anything else to say...Not that there aren’t things to be said....it’s just that the medicine I took for the pain is making my mind go blank. At least that’s my story and I’m sticking with it. I suppose I’ll write later, Sunshines.

msmoon: (MM - Voices)

I probably shouldn’t be too surprised. I’ve only been waking up with a soar throat for the past week. Sure, it’s windy and chilly here, and I have come from a much warmer climate. Friday morning, I went with Dad to town and when we got in the car, the bottled water I’d left in the cup holder had frozen solid. All the ponds on the way into town were frozen solid too, I might add. It’s been really cold here, and Mom’s been sick with a soar throat - that caused her to loose her voice! - since Wednesday.

Friday, I poured most of my focus into entertaining my guest (Nostariel) and then poured all of my effort and energy into writing the next part in a WoW Fic Scamp and I have been writing. My thoughts were that it was my brain child, therefore I should have the next edition (no matter how long) out as soon as humanly possible. Pastor Sam and his wife did come over some time after supper, and they all decided to play domino’s. I wrote a lot then...but I had to take a small break. When I did, Mom announced that she was feeling too bad to finish the game, so I sat in her place and ended up winning for her :D Then, it was back to work.

I wrote like mad. Did a bunch of fact checking, tried to proof-read in a hurry, and then sent off the (probably terribly proof -read) first draft of the next chapter in the story. It was 2 in the morning before I finally got in bed. Saturday, I woke up with an extremely soar throat. The type that would not go away, even after 2 cups of coffee. This morning, I am just as pathetic. Nothing truly holds my interest, as I am too ill to fully devote myself to anything (including TV), but not ill enough to do nothing but sleep. I keep trying to entertain myself with FaceBook and MySpace (which I’ve added 2 photo albums to), not to mention I keep checking my e-mail...like, every two minutes. Oddly enough, I haven’t turned on my computer in 2 days....I’ve soully been working on Makoto-san.

I certainly hope no one calls me for an interview right now...that was be really weird.

.....I think I’ma try to go and sleep now. I can’t really think of anything else that I could possibly do (and do well). Later, Sunshines.

I hate that I keep posting about my most recent social gatherings, but…there really isn’t much else to talk about. Last night was the first movie-night with people other than my parents. I invited Jodie and Casey (and there’s little Tot Cadin, of course), C.J. and Kayla and Bubba. Casey called me at work to let me know that they weren’t going to be able to make it, because Jodie had a bad day at work and just wanted to rest…which is just as well considering how we carried on.

C.J., Bubba and Kayla all arrived around 6:30. I showed them around the house a bit, and asked what type of pizza they wanted. I went in the back and just ordered the pizza online (because Domino’s is cool like that), and I hear muffled voices. And then I hear Harvey (my Roomba) starting up and starting to sweep about and various cries of “Oh my God!”, “That’s Amazing!”, “It’s the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen!” and stuff in that general direction. I came in and explained that that was Harvey and he was my Roomba. They thought it was amazing. I told them I was going to try and get the Scooba, which was the ‘mop’ version, which was another round of amazement. They also wanted an explanation of my Fly Fusion pen. They thought that was cool too.

They all loved my house, which tickled me. They said it suited me...which, most people say the same thing. They had plenty of ideas of really cool things to add into the house…most of which involved suspending things from the beams/ceiling/walls…there was mention of suspending chairs from the beams in swing fashion, there was also something about making the area above the beams a huge suspended aquarium (that people could swim in). C.J. even mentioned something about a rope ladder suspended from the second story into the living room..…I told him I’d get right to work on that. They liked my swords, lamps and the configuration of everything….or they were just being very polite ^..^

We talked for a while, waiting for the pizza to show up. I had a print out of the movies that I have and box sets and anime as well; and, they had plenty to say about a few of the things I own. Bubba has never seen The Pagemaster, so we said we’d have to make that the feature for our next movie night (though we all agreed that next time, we should plan for a Friday or Saturday movie night). We carried on, talking about everything and nothing, but it was getting close to 7, so I decided to pop the movie in (sure enough, Pizza man showed up right as the opening credits were rolling). I’d ordered quite a bit...3 large pizzas (MeatZZa, cheese, and hawaiian, then I ordered Breadsticks, Cheesy Bread, Cinna Stix...yeah...no one was going hungry. Not last night). We paused the movie, we gathered up food, and then sat down to watch the movie.

Oh! Also, I have this little…toy…thing. It’s this round thing that has a pair of eyes and little …tendrils? I guess...It’s hard to describe. But it’s purple with the tentacles thingies having some green tips and just these buggy eyes. I discovered that on one end, two of the tentacles come together to form a loop, so you can bounce him like a yo-yo, only more easily. Well, I named him Alfred, because …well, that’s what I do. And at some point, I’m bouncing Alfred, and he hits my hand really hard and starts flashing red and blue. I stare at him, wide-eyed and open-mouthed and say “Alfred! This is a side of you I’ve never seen!” in sheer wonder. Which, of course, I stop and then hear what I just SAID and I crack up. Kayla and Bubba have already dissolved into giggles, which just made things funnier. We must’ve laughed for a good 5 minutes. They were laughing, not only at what I said, but the fact that I’ve had my little toy for about 2 months now and I had no idea it could do that!

After Temple of Doom Kayla said she couldn’t stay because she had work at 7:30 the next day; and with a quick check to the clock, I was shocked to see it was around 11:30. Of course, since I had to get up at 5:30, I knew I’d be in for another long day today. Bubba was all geared up to watch the next one though…C.J….well, C.J. certainly wouldn’t have minded, since he fell asleep somewhere in the middle of Lost Ark ^..^ At some point between the two movies, I tip toed over to his chair and put the vibrating message thing on, and he didn’t even stir. But he woke up for the end of Temple of Doom. Then after a small, “oh, what fun!” session, they all headed out. I showered and went off to bed. I cannot tell you how tired I was, crawling into bed at 12:45 =..= Or for that matter, waking up at 5:30 for that matter. But, again, I wouldn’t change anything. It was, indeed, a fun time had by all…..except maybe C.J., though I’m sure he did enjoy his nap.

Now….when to schedule another one…There are so many new movies coming out that it’s hard to figure out when to have one! On the 6th is Kung Fu Panda, then the 13th is Incredible Hulk and then the 20th is Get Smart and the 27th is Wall-E. Oh, and July? Yeah, we got Hellboy 2 on the 11th, The Dark Knight on the 18th and then X-Files on the 25th!...not that I need to see all of them on the day they come out or anything…but you get my point. I find that this group uses MySpace a lot...and my interaction on MySpace is very limited since I deleted my last profile…so I’m gonna have to get back into that world. Unfortunately…my work computer has MySpace blocked =..= curses, foiled again. Now that I know the test-flight went really well, I’m definitely going to have to invite more people next time.

Ok…my brain is totally fried and totally wandering off so I’m gonna go head and stop now. Later, Sunshines!

Beware, for I am: Chipper Chipper

Wah! Reiko's coming over soon! Oh yeah, and here's your daily reference =.=

On This Day: Tuesday July 25, 2006

This is the 206th day of the year, with 159 days remaining in 2006.

Fact of the Day: sushi

Sushi, the Japanese specialty, consists of rice mixed with a dressing that not only adds flavor but makes the rice shapeable in a mold or by rolling. Additional ingredients include raw or cooked fish or seafood and vegetables. Layers of sushi rice and prepared ingredients are pressed into a mold to form little cakes, or wrapped in a sheet of nori seaweed and served in slices. Dipping sauce, mustard, and pickled ginger are typical accompaniments.

Momma's MySpace

2006-Jul-24, Monday 10:58 pm
msmoon: (Gilmore - Crazy)
Beware, for I am: Blah Blah

You know, today many things happened. For one, I found out that at least 2 of my co-workers have a MySpace. Secondly, and more importantly, I helped my Mom to make a MySpace for herself. O_o Somehow...that feel strange, but I can’t say why. Here's Mama's MySpace if anyone cares to see it. So yeah...today’s been...interesting.

I did get World of Warcraft in today, and I installed it this evening. However, I’ve decided not to activate it till after MechaCon. Let’s face it, I’m not gonna be able to give it the time I would want to give it. So I can’t rightly activate an account yet. But I will. Soon. Honestly, Twin-san, you could’ve told me that the installation process was so scary...it was like that freaky sound affect from Lost every time you have to insert another CD. I’m just reading a fan fic and *BOOM!*

O_O!!!

*pop up “Please insert CD # 3”*

=_=

I did get a free 10 day trial...as if that’s enough time to get into a game. I only tried out a month of EQ2 and I still find I’m not fully into it. I love playing it when I can, but since there’s a time limit I’m not as into it because I know I’m gonna have to let it go. /sigh That’s enough from the Dr. Freud in my head. It’s time for bed. G’night.

All over the place O_o

2006-Jul-04, Tuesday 11:04 pm
msmoon: (Uh...)

Beware, for I am: Working Working

Well, it’s the fourth. There are all mannor of pops, sizzles, bangs, booms and screeches that would indicate that 1) Fireworks are going off in mass (something I expect) or 2) We’re being invaded (another thing that I eventually expect -.-).

The day has been wonderful. I’ve literally done nothing all day long. It was dark and gray and gloomy and it thundered and drizzled and rained all day. I loved it! I wish it’d do that more often. I love lightening, thunder and constant rain. Couldn’t have been a better holiday...for me at least. Then again the only thing I went out for today was to get something at Taco Bell. Otherwise, I spent my day playing EQ2, reading fan fiction, listening to music and watching TV. It was great. The only way this day could’ve been better, is if there was one of those VH1 I love the ___’s marathons on or something. Oh! Or a Supernatural marathon! That would’ve rocked! I don’t expect to see that till Halloween though. I miss my Winchester boys ;_;

But anyway. The day went by so quick...it must’ve been the fan fiction. I mean seriously ya’ll. I don’t know why, but Carefree Quill’s Lord of the Rings stories (aka The Last Seer and The Elves of Summer) always get me so pulled in. And I don’t want to stop reading. I look up and see the time flying...and, I don’t care! I just wanna keep reading! It’s so weird...behold the power of the written word (when used well). I only played a little EQ2 this morning. My three low-level characters. I got them all up to a decent level (5 or 6). I got some good pics of them too, but I haven’t decided whether I wanna put them up anywhere. /shrugs We’ll see.

I am currently trying to piece together the next chapter of The EQ Saga -.- It only occurred to me a few hours ago that the next chapter is due tomorrow. I’ve got all the words and everything, it’s just making sure that everything fits together, y’know? Sometimes I hate how much of a freak I am about it ‘feeling’ right. I mean honestly. Is it really worth giving myself a headache over? /thinks Hell, yes, it is.

Oh, I got a friend request from a guy at MySpace. Totally cracked me up! He’s got an EQ-ish song (that he made...I think). He’s part of a (get this) Kare Bear Mafia...yeah. Exactly. I was like, “Dude! So approving this guy!” His alias is M.C. Donalds. And in other MySpace news! I got a comment from Chibi! I miss her so much /gushes. Oh! And I finally got that video uploaded to my MySpace.

Ok. I think this entry has been random and covered enough things...When you can’t keep yourself on a subject then it’s time to stop blogging, na no da O.o ...I’m going to bed...soon. As soon as I save this document with all my hard work in it. Later!

Beware, for I am: Aggravated Aggravated

MM is not very happy with her MySpace right now. It will not upload her videos even though they’re well under the required amount, and it won’t change pages without flashing a ‘Sorry, Server Busy’ message once or twice. As such, I think I’m gonna keep my bloging exclusive to LJ and just have MySpace to have a look-see at what friends are doing.

In other news: My room is clean. That’s right people clean. I actually made a video of it on my camera, but MySpace seems to be having trouble with it...and so is File Lodge. I don’t think LJ hosts videos, so that means that’s out too. I’ll try File Lodge again later though.

Reiko is safely in Kansas and Chibi is still in Switzerland. It turns out she got both her departure and arrival dates mixed up. She wont be back till the 8th. It figures. Now I’ve gotta amuse myself. Oh well.

Not entirely in the mood to talk. I’m gonna go to bed or...something.

Beware, for I am: Content Content

Ok, so this morning got up, went to church, Bro. Gary Sap was there. He used to be the director for the LA youth conventions...I remember when we made him shave him shave his head...Man...teens are so easily amused.

Anyway. After coming home and eating, I worked a bit on the web site. Mostly just the Written Word section. I’ve been making a table for my main content to go in and then having a background image inside that table. Then I’ve been putting the chapters in a white table and having a black background. Well, I decided to actually make a few backgrounds for the EQ Saga that’d go instead of the drab old black background. Then it got to be like, 30+ backgrounds /rolls eyes. So then I went and got some X-men backgrounds from the X3 web site, and I decided to use those for the Different from Me chapters. So that sections is all but done. No more worky on that section. I think the only thing I really have left to do is order the movies, tv, anime, and toons lists and give summaries of why I liked certain things, and the whole links section needs serious work. I’ve almost got Toons and Anime done. Gargoyles has been done as well. So, really all I have to is TV and Movies. Movies in itself will be huge because I have such a huge list of movies that I’ve seen/want/like/hate etc. Obsessive? I think so.

So then...I vegged out a bit. You know...just laid in bed for a long time thinking about where I could go with fics and other such stuff. And just thought, you know? I like to just think with no particular goal in mind from time to time.

Then I gave mom a pedicure because they’ll be leaving tomorrow, and I can’t very well send her out without giving her the professional toe treatment ^__^. Oh, and Reiko came over just as I was finishing up. She asked my Dad if he wanted her to do his toe nails, and he said, “Sure, let me go and clean them.” And he went in the other room and got the toe-nail that had fallen off when we went to Toad Suck to visit my cousins =__= Strange sense of humor runs in this family, na no da. I bet you might get pretty grossed out by that. You’d probably prefer that I just stop right there, because things just couldn’t get weirder, right?

If so, don’t read beyond this point )

Then Reiko got on her MySpace and I showed her something that I’d only discovered about an hour before she got there. I saw the cutest little hamham (hamster) video on there, and when I went to the person’s page I found that it was a page for the hamster, albeit organized by the hamster’s owner. I then stumbled upon the S. S. H.. Apparently it’s a MySpace community just for rodents...Hamster, chinchillas, gerbils, etc. Now, while it did gain me two new spots on my MySpace friend’s list...I must say I find it a bit...interesting. I mean...these people have either made their pet the main character on their MySpace or they’ve just made a whole MySpace page for their pet...interesting. That’s all I have to say about that. As a result of these people and their overwhelmingly cute pets, I now cannot get the Hamester Dance remix song out of my head...and I'm no longer certain that I want to.

Aw, cripes! I really have to get Reiko to show me that button thing again. It was histericle. But anyway. Shower’s taken, pills are kicking in, and I’m getting up early to see the rents off on their grand adventure to Arkansas. Goodnight.

Beware, for I am: Blank Blank

My goodness. Nothing has happened, ya’ll. Really nothing. Other than me declaring a Robotech marathon and watching about ¾ of the first season. Nothing. I mean, Reiko has come over both Tuesday and Wednesday, but really...nothing else has been happening. It’s boring really. But I’m kinda not really in the mood to do anything. It sucks.

Well, at least I did get the whole lawn mowed today. So that’s something. And Mom and I plan to mosey on down to Rid Stick and have me take the civil service test. At the very least it’ll open up some more jobs for me. Other than that...I got nothing…So...Goodnight.

Beware, for I am: Blank Blank

Ok, so today was mostly uneventful. I didn’t wake up till like...11. But that’s probably due to the interruption in sleep last night…err...this morning. Right...

Reiko came over to check her My Space, and while she was on AMOS, I realized that there was crap pouring from every direction from under my bed -_- My general cleaning tendencies is to have something that’s clean, then it slowly gets cluttered from constant use, it stays that way for months till I get fed up and clean again. I didn’t actually clean my room, but I did organize a bunch of the stuff that was under my bed. Now all the books, papers, binders and stuff are in a neater fashion in my dresser shelves. But then of course, Reiko had to leave and go off somewhere else...probably work or something. She did say that she’d come by tomorrow and we could watch Final Fantasy – Advent Children together. I’m looking forward to that.

After she left, I realized that there was stuff pouring from the drawers of my dresser, so I went through all the drawers – throwing away old things that I no longer want/need to make room for better things that I enjoy. Then I went through my closet. I get rid of all the empty hanger and put them in the laundry room, and then I organized my closet so that shirts (sleeveless, long sleeve, and dress) and pants (jeans, shorts, and dress) are all in their specific areas. Then I realized that I’d done a fair amount of organizing, and decided to loaf.

I rewatched the second disc of Children of Dune again. I don’t know why, but I keep getting a yen to see it over and over. I will soon grow sick of it and then move on to something else, but as it now is satisfying me I will continue to do it to-death.

Also, the other day Mom and I went to a local jewelry place, and while Mom was looking into getting a better medical bracelet I got my ring sizes. Ever since I out-grew all my old rings, I’ve kinda been in the dark about what size my fingers actually are. I’ve had rings and bands on Amazon bookmarked because I didn’t know what size I needed so I couldn’t add them to my wish list. So, the nice people at the jewelry store confirmed what everyone who knows about this issue already knew. I have really big fingers. Here are my ring sizes for future reference:

Thumb – 10
Pointer – 11
Middle – 10.5
Ring – 10
Pinky – 7

O__O Yeah. So after I fished out the business card that I used to write those sizes down, I went over to Amazon to add those that I could to my jewelry wish list. It kinda bums me that they don’t make a lot of ladies rings in my sizes. I mean, I’m not the only girl with big fingers in the world. Why not cater to everyone of us? Oh well.

Mom and I watched CSI: NY together. Man what a trip. I told Mom last week when the show was starting that I’d be very careful about dating a really artsy guy. Because really hard-core artists find things that give them great pleasure (aka Love) as inspiration, and they can get obsessive about muses because without that muse they don’t have their art, right? Maybe I’m wrong, but it’s just a thing. Or maybe it’s just because I think I’d feel self-conscious about someone painting me or painting while thinking of me or whatever. I mean, I’m not beautiful in the least, so I’d be a little freaked and all. But anyway. On the flip side, it reaffirmed my disdain for Kid Rock. So, all in all, a good show.

Ok. I’m going to go to bed now. Tomorrow I’ll watch Bones but for now, I’m just too tired. G’night.

Working on a Saturday...

msmoon: (just kill me)

Beware, for I am: Image hosted by Photobucket.com Tired

Wow. Today was just...wow. Dad woke me up around 10. I ate breakfast and we headed to my bank to deposit the rent money. We then went to Wally-World to get groceries. I swear, all we had was 5 things on there. But of course we found a dozen or so other things we needed. Then we realized that some of the stuff we needed we could buy in bulk at Sam’s. So after spending money at Wally-World, we headed over to Sam’s. But we only got like 3 things there. We then sent buh his money and came home.

After unloading the groceries, I sat Dad and Mom down and watched The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe with them. My God, I love that movie. I cannot wait for Prince Caspian. But that will be coming in December of 2007 if IMDb is accurate. Dad really didn’t get it so I had to explain a lot of it to him. Mom is so focused on the fact that LWW parallels the Bible that she sometimes aggravates me. The story is teh greatest on it’s own! Anyway...

After the movie, I got to work washing; dishes and clothes mainly. I then got online and checked eBay for Corel Draw. I’d be saying to Mom that I needed to get the newer version for AMOS, but it cost like $200, and now that I’m unemployed I don’t really have that type of money. I bought it today for about $45. God, but I love eBay. However, I need to make sure that I stay away from it for another month or so; otherwise, I may end up buying more stuff and without an active source of income...well, that’d get old fast.

I had started watching The Day After Tomorrow last night. You know how it is, up and can’t get to sleep. Watch something you’ve seen a million times and hope it lulls you. So I finished watching it this afternoon. It just proves what I’ve been saying all along. We are all suckers for CGI weather graphics.

Since I have a paid account, I searched for people in my area. I actually found an old friend of mine that I’d virtually lost contact with. She’s mostly on MySpace really, but it pointed me in the right direction. So, now I’ve been messaging her with MySpace and we’ve kinda renewed ties. That’s good. It makes me feel like I actually have another friend.

Well...that’s all for now. I need to go check the clothes and then I might try taking a shower. Catch ya later, babies.

Long, interesting day

2006-Apr-13, Thursday 10:47 pm
msmoon: (Oh really?)

Beware, for I am: Image hosted by Photobucket.com Indifferent

Wow...today was a full day. I’ll try to cover everything by using this old method I’ve heard of; I’ll start at the beginning, and when I get to the end...I’ll stop.

This morning my Dad woke me up early (well not early, but earlier than I would’ve liked) so that I could take Mom to the doctor’s office. Of course, I wondered briefly why. If she had been feeling bad, why hadn’t he just taken her. But lately Dad’s been a tad bit insensitive towards Mom’s sickness, and I’m pretty sure that she was a bit fed up with him. But I’m not about to get into that.

So, I got up, got dressed, ate, and watching Gilmore Girls with Mom while we waited to leave. We got there, and I had brought a notebook to occupy me. She mentioned that it didn’t bother her if I wanted to stay in the back room. We usually crack jokes and try to make small talk in the back room, and she knew she wasn’t much company so. /shrug

While I was waiting for her in the main waiting room, I jotted down a few notes that I wanted to remember for my EQ Saga. The waiting room was quite empty, so the TV that they had was more obvious. They had a big sign on it that said ‘DO NOT CHANGE CHANEL’. A show come on called...Boombah I think...It’s gotta be the weirdest kids’ show I’ve ever seen in my life. It came on right after Barney (my God, what are we doing to our kids?). It basically consisted of a light that floated around while kids jumped up and down excitedly or tried to dance chanting at invariable intervals “Boombah!”. I kept waiting for their to be some sort of plot, or a life less maybe. /shakes head there never was one. A few more people filtered into the waiting room, so I stuck my nose in my notebook and would shake my head every so often. There was a young girl...maybe 14 or so…sitting two chairs over form me with her mom and someone else that she knew. She had a huge book in her hand (which suprirsed me because I thought there was less to our youth these days), and she said to her Mom and her mom’s friend “This show is so weird. A friend of mine was sick, and he watched it and he was like, ‘there was this weird show on TV the other day. Something like Boombah. I still can’t figure out what it’s about’. It’s freakier than most kid’s shows.” I had to agree with her. At least in Barney and Blue’s Clues (awesomenest kid show ever!) they have something kids can learn. But this one was mainly a light swiveling around country side with a rainbow tail, that would drop down on a certain spot, and wherever it dropped kids appeared from the light and began dancing. At least I think they were dancing. They could’ve been doing some cultic ritual for all I know.

The young girl and I actually got along and talked a bit about it which was fun. She surprised me by saying that she hated most kids’ shows and book because there wasn’t anything real about them. They were too happy and too perfect and that wasn’t real. She said she loved reading adult books though. Thank God not every kid is a total loss.

After that we went to our drug store to get Mom’s prescription filled. She has vertigo again. It took forever (or at least it felt like it) to get out of the drugs store, but we finally did. Then it was over to Wally-World to get things that Mom could drink that would keep her hydrated. She dehydrates so easily, she really has to be careful about it. Then we swung by Popey’s and got some chicken for us to eat because she didn’t feel like cooking and she knows we can’t do too well. It felt like it took forever just to get through town. It used to be enjoyable, but since home is expanding it’s a gauntlet to go to get the simplest things.

After we got home and ate, I cleaned the dishes and fooled around on the computer. I was just sitting here peacefully when I hear a mild horn honk. So I says to m’self, “That’s a familiar honk. Who do you know that has a car that honks ever time she drive up…Reiko.” Yup, Reiko decided to pop in. But she came bearing gifts. She had a foot long Subway meatball sandwiched that she halved with me. She even brought me a cookie (she knew I wouldn’t say no to that!). I took a picture of her because it was one of the first times that I’ve seen her in a long time where she looked like an average person instead of a goth or emo. I edited those pics slightly and put them up on her My Space. I think they look real cool. Go check ‘em out. I think I made her stand out more from the background and that just makes her look cooler.

So yeah. She hung out and fooled around on her my space and we gabbed a lot. I wish the little microphone that I bought was working properly. I bought a cute little microphone so that I could make audio rambles and not have to worry about a stupid tape recorder, and don’t you know the thing doesn’t work. I think it would’ve been so much fun to do a ramble and send it to Chibi. I miss her. After Reiko left I fooled around with those pics and was so pleased with them, I just put them up. She’ll just take them down if she doesn’t like them -.-

I think I may’ve found an old friend of mine too both on LJ and My Space. I’m not sure, but I’m like 98.9% sure it’s her. If not, then I’ve befriended someone that is shockingly similar to the girl who I once knew as my best friend, which is very bad, because anyone who didn’t know the circumstances might think I’m trying to replace her when all I wanted to do was establish a connection. …I really should practice punctuation and repairing run-ons. But on well. I type like I talk so that’s that.

Then I read and listened to music and watched some TV and then when I looked up it was 9 and I’d missed Supernatural AGAIN. I loath myself so much. But I did get to watch Without a Trace with Mom and Dad, which was good.

Now, I have showered and I’m eating, and I really need to close this because I feel the sleep meds kicking in all ready. Goodnight everyone!

Hoarding Icons

Wow. I mentioned in my private journal ([livejournal.com profile] ruby_unicorn) that I might go ahead and get a paid account for this journal. Since then, I’ve looked into getting plenty of icons and graphics to make icons when I do happen to get the paid account. Thus far, I’ve got 37 icons, and that’s not counting ones that I still want to make. Damn me and my OCD tendencies.

The main themes that I’ve been looking for are TV shows that I enjoy if I should choose to post about them (Gilmore Girls, Supernatural, the CSIs, Daria), and then I have a few random ones that I just want for fun, and of course the ones that are all ready mine. I definitely want to make a few more with my game characters (EQ, CoH, and eventually WoW)…I’m excited, can’t you tell?

Ok, what else to talk about. Oh, Reiko came to visit last night. She wanted to update her My Space. We also went out for some McDonalds McFlurries. That was...interesting. We always have fun though.

I think that’s all for now. I’m gonna be going to lunch soon. I need to post the next chapter of the EQ Saga too...I’ll do that when I come back na no da. That’s all she wrote...for now.

Hello, everyone. Today has been interesting to say the least. Went with Mom to the doctor this morning and Doc gave us medicine. I gotta say, I feel worse today than I felt over the weekend. Mom had a sort of relapse thing, and now I’m afraid I might do the same thing. God, I hate being sick like this.

Ok, so Mom and I got food and medicine while we were in town, and if felt like it took us everything we had just to do that. So, we got home and took our meds, and the meds made us a little woozy. But, I still got on and gathered up pictures to make color bars. I present to you the two Johnny Depp color bars that I made for Chibi ([profile] amai_tenshi).

I have posted here, in her journal, and sent her the raw html codes. I found out that the link that I use through the Massive Tool Thingy to link back to my journal can be used on any web page unlike LJ’s ljuser html thingy.

I also made these three colorbars for Demona my favorite character from Gargoyles. Tada!

I just can’t decide which one I like better! They’re all good and all true, so I kept them all. Yeah. I’m a looser.

Reiko came over afterward...I think it was afterward...yeah it was. ‘Cause I showed her all the colorbars and Johnny was among them. I had been bugging her about her books that she’d left over here. She brought chocolate chip cookies, we watched many videos and had some delight even though I was ailing thusly. Dude. No matter how hard I try to use cool words like that, I never sound as good as [personal profile] tinhuviel.

Oh! I got an e-mail from an old friend of mine who saw my profile on MySpace. Good old Senshi (not that he’s old or anything). We kinda lost track of each other and got busy with life. You know how that goes, you forget to drop a line and life just goes on without you. But he sent me an e-mail and got a song stuck in my head, and got me to rambling and made me totally forget what I was doing, so we’re all good. /stops and looks back and forth confused Uh...whatever. Anyway, yeah so, it was great to hear from him again. That’s the second old friend that I haven’t talked to in what felt like ages that I’ve gotten in touch with lately. I hope it keeps up. I’ve gotten to where I feel like I don’t have anyone to talk to through e-mails and AIM and such before all this.

Ah well. Other than that...not much has happened. I started writing the beginnings of another EQ chapter. But it’s probably barely a page long. I’ll have to see what I’m doing and how I’m feeling tomorrow before I can say how that’ll develop.

Well, I’m really tired and I’ve been fighting off this feeling all day long. I shall now submit to the meds and sleep. Goodnight.

Ok...another day. Gosh, our days have been so bad since we all got sick. I mean, honestly. We haven’t really felt like doing much or going anywhere or anything. It’s sickening just to think of how...well, sick we are. Mom’s much worse than I am. But either way you look at it, I have not been the happiest psycho bunnie for the past week.

So, today. Today Mom and I watched last night’s CSI. So very very glad they had a new one! And this one was good too! I had figured that the case would have something to do with modern werewolfism. The way people treat those poor people. Talk about something that’s sickening.

Oh! There has been this little mocking bird that comes up near my window for the past five days or so. I don’t remember mentioning him, so I’ll just mention him now. I got Dad a outdoor cooking thingamummy. It’s for frying stuff, but it’s for outside. You put pots on it and fry stuff...anyway. Dad set it up outside and he put a couple of pots on it and it’s stayed there fairly well considering the weather. Well, for the past five or so days, a little mocking bird has come up and lighted on the pot that’s on the burner thingy. He stands on the rim of the pot and looks around, and then he jumps down in the pot. And he pecks about, and then he glances up and about to see if anything’s gotten closer, then he pecks some more, then he pops his head up again, and he continues to do it for a solid two minutes or so. Then, he’ll jump back up on the pot and stay there for a while, and then after a while he’ll just fly off. I’d love to know what he (or she, come to think of it) likes so much about that pot...

Anyway. After I last posted here, I got to brainstorming. And I thought it might be fun if all of the Sloths up on Sloths Gone Mad had their colorbars. So I made a few more over on the other computer, and I like ‘em! Here they are.

Nice. I’ve spent the rest of the day fooling around with PhotoBucket and MySpace (but not at the same time). Truth of the matter is, I don’t have that many friends on My Space, so I was checking to see if maybe some people that I knew in town on there. I found one possible person that I might actually have known way back when, and I added [personal profile] rattgirl to my friends there (much love, sister. Much love). You know you’re not the most sociable person when you go to your MySpcae and it has the new feature of rearranging your top eight, and you can’t do it because you don’t have eight friends.

Other than that, I’ve been fooling around with DreamWeaver a bit, but it still won’t connect to the FTP server and I still don’t know why. Too much longer, and I’ll be contacting Tripod...or Chibi. But most likely tripod.

Oh well. That’s all for tonight. My head hurts and I must shower. I hope I don’t wake up with my head throbbing tomorrow. Goodnight.
