Happy Labor Day, er’body :) And a big Happy Birthday to Davlen :D …it’s a little on the amusing side that his birthday falls on Labor Day o..o Amusing and fitting, considering he always seems to be working…

Yesterday, Mom and I went online to book our tickets to Atlanta. We also booked our rooms at the Lodge (where the wedding party will be staying). Whenever we get there, we’ll rent a car and all that jazz. It hasn’t escaped me that I’ve never been on an airplane before in my life -..- In fact, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t feeling anxious already. Which…totally sucks since I’ve got the better part of a month before I actually have to get on said plane. Luckily, I have plenty to think about to shift my focus. School’s a given of course, but I’m also thinking of all the things I’ll want to take with me. And, yes, I’ve started a small list of things to bring -..- dang OCD.

Travel Check-Off for Take-Off )

It’s a work in progress. I’m thinking of keeping all the cords and electronics in one place… my back pack. Dad says we get one suitcase and one carry-on, so I’ll just have my suitcase and my back pack. The only problem I can think of at this point is the bridesmaid dress. I realize that I can’t have it hanging, so I’m going to have to fold it up in my suitcase. Even if I lay it on top of everything, it’ll probably still wrinkle, and that means I’ll need a steamer or something… because fabric like that probably can’t just be ironed like normal. Mom says we may be able to find something when we get there… or ask if anyone in the wedding party will actually have a steamer.

Well…I had planned on catching up on some schoolwork today, but I’ve kinda been putting it off. I have to wash clothes and pick up about the house, so I’ve used that as an excuse not to do any work. I think I’ll have some lunch in a minute and then get on the school work wagon. I’ve been pretty fed up with myself lately… but, I remind myself that it’s been over five years since I was in college, so it’ll take me some time to get back into that groove -..-‘

OK. Enough yaking. The jeans in the washer are done, and my stomach is growling. Time to sign off. I’ll type later, Sunshines :)

And Excuse to Cosplay :D

2009-Oct-03, Saturday 11:34 am
msmoon: (Mad)

So, here I sit at the Branson Air Port, waiting for Dad to fly in (his arms should be tired :3). I'm not even gonna talk about that game yesterday -..- I think my tweets were loud enough on that subject. But there are a few things I can touch on.

So, I finally felt decent enough to drag my sorry butt to church Wednesday night. I gotta say, the enter mid to latter part of September totally sucked for me this year. First Bronchial pneumonia on the way down to LA, then bloody hell week starting up on the way back up, the usual exhaustion accompanied with travel and bloody hell and then, Tuesday I woke up with a horrid case of Vertigo and dark motes that turned into a major headache. So... yeah. Not loving all that I went through. But Wednesday night was fun. It was Timmy's birthday party (his birthday is on the 1st of Oct) so, we celebrated and just talked as opposed to feeding teens cake and pop and assuming they'll be able to sit still and listen to us for an hour -..-

But anyway, we've been planning a Youth bonfire for Halloween. At first we'd thought we'd have it at Pastor Sam's place, but I said it'd be better to have it at my place since it's easier to get to and there's more flat spaces to enjoy the scenery and sit about. Plus, Dad has his own tractor and an 18 ft. trailer, so it'd be ideal for a hay ride. So it just made sense. What I didn't know, that was evidently discussed at the last class while I was out, is they decided to have a costume contest....

....Quoi? Costumes? Really? :D That'll be fun! Now I have an idea of what I want my costume to be....but I don't want anyone to know that it is, so I'm not saying anything. I don't think the boys read my notes on FaceBook, and I'm fairly certain they don't even know about my LJ, so it's probably safe to post it...but I'm not going to. Mom has said that there are two costume shops in Fayetteville, which is abut an hour and 40 minutes away from home. So we're planning on going there and checking things out. We'll see :3

Anyway... that's all I really have to talk about. I guess. I sure am getting hungry. Dad's plane is supposed to get in around noon, and I asked Mom if she wanted to go to the Rib Crib, since she's been wanting ribs...so, that's where we'll be headed for lunch, I guess. Can't have sushi every time, I suppose :) I guess I'll go back to web surfing for the next 30 minutes. Talk to ya'll later, Sunshines.

P.S. I can't believe that I'm going to be 26 in 3 days..... didn't I just turn 25 only a little while ago?

msmoon: (Labyrinth - Bored)

It’s entirely probable that there’s some sort of conspiracy against my parents settling in to their new home. Just a few weeks ago, my dad’s brother Bobby died….and now just the other day (Mom never told me exactly when it happened) my mom’s brother Richard died. So, Mom had to drive down to Sulphur for that funeral. I assume that since Sulphur is 3 hours west of here, I doubt very seriously that she’ll be stopping by. Dad was already here so he could go offshore this morning, when Mom had to get with her sister (my other Aunt Carolyn) and head on down. The funeral is today, but I think she decided to stay a little while (even if at the hotel room) because it’s just so much driving, and all that tends to make her ankles swell really badly. So yeah.

Oh! I finally got my new phone in! I wub it very much. I’m still trying to figure out everything about it, but I’m liking it so far. I officially got it yesterday and I’ve been going through my address book, and LOVING the features on it. I can add e-mails and phones lines (if one isn’t enough), Nickanmes, Birthdays, it’s awesome! Unfortunately, I usually forget that the date format is Day-Month-Year, and try to put more than 12 in the day section =..= I’ll get the hang of it. The rings are different…and there are a lot more of them than I had on my other phones, but I’m hoping I’ll be able to get some others, either from Bluetooth exchange or actually buying them.

I’ve been without internet since sometime Friday...But, I haven’t really had the time (or inclination) to fix it. And then Dad came down Monday, so I was distracted and couldn’t really tend to it. But, I finally got a message from Wal-Mart yesterday (and checked it at work) and they said that the stuff I’d ordered last month was ready for pick up. So I have a large bean bag, which is great as bean-bags go, and this enormous floor pillow, which I think totally rocks. It’s just awesome.

And though yesterday totally sucked at work, when I got home, my government check was waiting for me. It’s not much at all but that’s $500 I didn’t have before. Most of that will be going into my Savings account, but some will definitely be going into checkings if only to make things easier till the next pay day. I’m just so happy to have it though, because it really helps.

I cannot wait for this week to end. It’s like, it knows that we have a holiday Friday, so every other day is sucking…terribly. Monday and Tuesday were absolutely abysmal (at work at least)...so I’m hoping that things perk up…otherwise, drastic steps will have to be taken.

God…I need a haircut so bad...

I guess that’s everything….thus far at least. I’ll talk at ya’ll later, Sunshines!

msmoon: (Supernatural - Meh)
The whole concept of this day is mystifying to me. Go out in the freezing cold (and it always is), to sit there forever and fight with 50 other people over 10 huge TV’s. Yeah…that’s gonna happen. Least-wise, not for anyone in my immeadate family. I work till 1 today so, I’m trying to do this as quickly as possible.

But enough about this day that means nothing other than any other day to me. Wednesday night and maybe some of Thursday is what I’d like to go over. Wednesday, after work, I headed over to Reiko’s house. I watched (and occasionally helped) her clean her place for.../thinks. about 2 hours. She’d been cleaning since 3 and didn’t stop till 8. After that was all finished, we headed to my place to watch movies and eat a lasagna. She got a call from her friend, Mike, who has been her protector for a while now. He was meeting some chick he’d met over the internet…and it wasn’t going as well as he’d like. Well, since it would take about an hour and 45 minutes for the lasagna to cook, and it’d probably take him an hour and 45 minutes to get here, we went ahead and invited him over. Mostly, we talked while eating. But then, Reiko found out that Mike had never heard of Red vs. Blue. So we watched the first season, and by then it was 12, and Reiko was dragging from her full day of working/cleaning, so Mike drove her home (and since I’d driven her to my place, that worked out rather well actually). I didn’t get to bed till 1:30 a.m., but at least we got to have a bit of fun together.

Thursday was cold...seriously, ya’ll. It was mild and pleasant Wednesday, but Thursday was cold. So I suited up in my WoW hunter shirt, and my new really dark jeans, which turned out to be bootcut (we’d thought they were straight leg), so I wore the only pair of black, high-heel shoes I have and it actually looked really good. We went next door to Uncle C’s bringing 3 different food dishes. After waiting for the food to finish cooking and other family memebers to arrive, we finally got the chance to eat. All in all, Thanksgiving passed pretty quickly. Then I was home, reading some of my new Supernatural books. It wasn’t long before Dad came over to check out the hot water heater, which’s been giving me plenty of trouble. I went next door to watch Heroes, Bones and America’s Next Top Model with Mom. After all that, Dad told us that he couldn’t fix it today, so I had to take my shower over at the Rent’s place. I certainly hope he can fix that today...

This morning, after I’d gotten ready and all, Dad came over and had some coffee with me. We said we’d try getting my computer desk assembled this afternoon. Finally, I might be able to work on my jump drive somewhere other than work!

I guess that’s all for now. Later, Sunshines.

Good New, Bad News

2007-Aug-31, Friday 11:46 am
msmoon: (MM's Jellies!)
Well...there’s good news and bad news. But, the bad news isn’t too bad and the good news is pretty good.

The Bad News. Still haven’t gotten all of the Nexus primed and we still haven’t gotten around to calling the flooring guy.

The Good News. My Dad painted all upstairs and all of the trim ^..^ Today he wants to finish priming the rest of the house.

The Bad News. My Dad thinks he broke 2 of his toes while he was mowing the lawn. He didn’t get the chance to cut the back yard because of the rain.

The Good News. He got the whole front yard cut! That’s something!

The Bad News. Comcast is being a total ass again, and we don’t have internet at my house.

The Good News. Mom and Dad are switching to satellite...as soon as they figure out what to go with.

I think I sound like an America’s Funniest Home Videos bit, so I’m gonna stop now =..= So…it’s been weird. Although, my routine hasn’t been very disturbed really. It’s just a very good thing I have the internet at work.

So, today, Dad’s hoping to prime his little heart out, and then when I get home (after we all eat) I want to help out a bit. The Labor Day weekend will help a bit if only because we’ll be able to do more ^..^ I ended up ordering those other end tables that I wanted (please, God, don’t let this sale fall through as well), but only because Dad gave me $100. I was shocked when he did, because I didn’t think we had much money to spare, but evidently his social security check came in and he was feeling generous. Don’t I have the best Dad in the world?

So...I placed the order for 2 end tables this morning. I’m hoping it’s processed and shipped soon. I’m hoping that all the painting will be done by Labor Day. Then we’ll have all next week to worry about the flooring. I’ve decided not to put so much hope into getting so much done in one day. Dad still needs to worry about mowing the rest of the yard and all before it rains again, not to mention the time it takes for the paint to dry. But, I gotta say, until I saw that paint on the upstairs, I felt like it would never happen and now I’m actually excited. But it always goes slower than you want it to...I just have to remember not to let myself get depressed. Oh, and those shelves that Dad was supposed to put up in my room and never did? Yeah, those are gonna go in my back room, and I think I’ll probably turn that into a library/computer/guest room thing. Guess it’s almost a good thing he never got around to putting those up.

I need to get more sharpies...Meh

Well, Lunch is almost over. I’ll write (or VP) later, Sunshines.

...I really don’t have much to say...today was the 4th of July. I woke up around 10 this morning, but I decided to just have coffee for my breakfast since my dad would be grilling some steaks for us. Then, my dad decided to mow the lawn instead of cleaning the grill =.= We didn’t eat until 3 >.< But anyway! When we did eat, it was very good. I will have a good lunch tomorrow with all the left-overs we have. Scamp and I pretty much just lounged around all day…her playing WoW and me reading my new doxxie book and replying to my Twin’s roleplay. And tomorrow it’s back to work =.= Short holidays. Oh well.

Here’s some quiz spam, since it’s been a while since I’ve done that sort of thing. Thank you, Blue Pyramid. Later, Sunshines!

You're Iowa!

You are very concerned with hawks and their nature. Particularly, the eye
of the hawk has always captivated you, drawing you in with its piercing stare. It
frankly doesn't take a lot to get your attention, but once it's been gained, your
attention is unflinching. Though your influence appears minimal, a meeting you hold
at your place every few years is monumental in its implications. At that meeting, you
don't discuss where the monks came from, even though you want to know.

Take the State Quiz
at the Blue Pyramid.

How'd that happen?! Dang, I live in heaven! (Field of Dreams reference ^.^)

You're a Komodo Dragon!

While many people like to talk about running off to be the vicious
dictator of a small distant island, you feel you have more potential to follow
through on this plan than anyone. Big, strong, muscular, and a teensy bit
vindictive, you feel you could overpower anyone who tried to question your
authority. When not taking over the world, island by island, you enjoy sunning
yourself on the beach. You have an absurdly long tongue.

Take the Animal Quiz
at the Blue Pyramid.

Yeh, you better recognize, bi-atch! ^.^

You're Ulysses!

by James Joyce

Most people are convinced that you don't make any sense, but compared
to what else you could say, what you're saying now makes tons of sense. What people do
understand about you is your vulgarity, which has convinced people that you are at once
brilliant and repugnant. Meanwhile you are content to wander around aimlessly, taking in
the sights and sounds of the city. What you see is vast, almost limitless, and brings you
additional fame. When no one is looking, you dream of being a Greek folk hero.

Take the Book Quiz
at the Blue Pyramid.

For some odd reason, that makes me happy.

You're Malta!

With a strange attraction to crosses and falcons, you are one of the
most mysterious and unknown people in your group of friends, your community, or pretty
much any category you want to mention.  You keep to yourself, but see yourself as a
knight in shining armor, ready to rescue people if they weren't so far away.  Still,
people are fascinated by you if they've heard of you, which most of them
haven't.

Take the Country Quiz
at the Blue Pyramid

...huh...

You're Anime Pulse!

While you run in a pretty fast crowd, everyone agrees that you
are more animated than those around you. Everything about you indicates the
patterns of a cult, but you prefer to focus on the loyalty and popularity that
a cult indicates, rather than the scary stuff. You really like sunrises. While
it seems little is in your way, you are prone to concentrating on a
boulder.

Take the Podcast Quiz
at The Mep Report Podcast.

...I feel like a hill-billy, but what's a podcast? O.o

You're the Egyptian State Railways!

An intriguing blend of ancient traditions and modern methods,
you are a bit perplexing to those around you. Most are so drawn to this
fascinating blend, however, that you have little trouble attracting
others. Your ideas take unique shape and tend to grow to enormous size,
while your creativity can flow for miles. Though you prefer more classic
means of transportation, if you have to fly then you take Delta.

Take the Trains and Railroads Quiz
at RMI Miniature Railroads.

....once again, not sure what this is.

You're Queen's University!

You have the highest admiration for defunct hierarchy and
fanfare, and you make sure everyone knows about it. In fact, if anyone
offends these higher sensibilities, you will refuse to contact them ever
again. Though you are known for your connection to high-ranking females,
your town is better known for high-ranking males. All this prestige keeps
you pretty cold. You like to think of yourself as Victoria's Secret.

Take the University Quiz
at the Blue Pyramid.

Once again, I've no idea what significance this is....and I'm wondering if I should be insulted O.o'

msmoon: (Supernatural)
What a whirl wind of a week, and I tell you what. Monday was us all looking forward to Tuesday because we all had Mardi Gras off and all. Mom and Dad’s anniversary was the 20th, but Dad had to be driven to work in Sabine Pass on the 21st, so instead of driving out there early in the morning and Mom having to drive all the way back with little sleep, they drove up there on the 20th (their 25th anniversary) and got a hotel in Sabine Pass. Mom called me laughing about how they got a room in the biggest hotel in the city. It had a whole 30 rooms! Man, Dad sure knows how to show Mom a good time -.- At least he takes her places…

Before they left for the hotel we had our whole family breakfast and I had to help them set up Mom’s gift. Dad got Mom just what she wanted, a GPS for her car ^__^ …then he broke the stand that it’s supposed to go on later in the day, but still! It’s the thought that counts right? We watched Smoke & The Bandit 1, 2 and 3…quite the trip, I’ll tell you that. The third one was almost risky and raunchy...I mean, I know they felt they had to try harder since Burt Reynolds wasn’t in it but for a minute, but do they really need to show/imply all that sex and have all the naked people running around. I’m trying to watch this with my parents people! (it almost sounds like I’m the parents and I’m saying “I’m trying to watch this with my kids!” or something).

One good thing that came of Mardi Gras holiday...I was bored and I wanted a Moolate. But I knew I’d end up committing justifiable homicide if I even tried to get out into traffic. So, I pulled out the coffee icecream I bought for myself, some milk, chocolate syrup, ice, and hazelnut cream, put it all (carefully) in my bullet blender and I’ll be dad-gum if I didn’t make myself a Moolate! It tasted so frikkin good. So, then I was like “Hm, if I could get some whipped cream and chocolate turtle and caramel to go on top, this could be the best damn snack ever!” You know what I need to do? I need to go to Dairy Queen and ask what type of shavings they put on the Hazelnut Moolate. If they ask why I want to know, I’ll say that I have allergies and I want to make sure it isn’t anything that’d aggravate my allergies =^.^= Hee! I might be able to start my own thing whenever friends get together! MM Moolaties

Ok, enough diabolical planning. Oh, Yesterday was rough. I didn’t get to sleep till late, and what’s worse I was watching the X-files. So, I’m alone in my house, I’ve over-dosed on WoW, X-files and sugar…yeah. I was up till like 1 and even then, my deams were wonky. I dreamed there were all these little gargoyle statues in my room, and every time I’d go to sleep they’d come alive and make a mess all over the house. Then I’d wake up and they’d be back where they were as if nothing’d happened, but the mess would still be there! It was so aggravating.

Later, after having a panic attack and crashing at work (not a good combination, I assure you =_=), I was relieved to get home. Mom had gotten home safely too. We talked for a bit, and then just as I was about to shower, I got a call from Reiko. She was coming from her boyfriend’s house, and he was being an ass. She wanted to know if she could come and hang out and watch movies or whatever. I hurried up and changed into something comfortable, then I started making Moolates ^.^ Reiko drank all of hers in less than 20 minutes O.o So yea, I got the Reiko seal of approval on the Moolates. Mom said they were awesome too, but she can’t take that much sugar. But, since Reiko was having romantic troubles, I put on Pride & Prejudice; the ultimate romantic movie for those with romantic troubles. She thought it was great, especially since she’d never heard of the book. I was shocked to hear that, but then it’s another testament to our fine schools -_-‘ Then she realized the time and knew I was getting up uber-early, so she went ahead and left. Twas fun to rewatch P&P with her giddy excitement close by though…though, I’ve yet to have a bad experience watching P&P. It’s just good like that.

Today hasn’t been much. Work was work and it just dragged by. People’s kids seem to be having serious problems though. Lacey’s son Trystin had fractured his collarbone a few months back after taking a spill on his motor bike…today he was complaining about how it hurt him, and Lacey’s dad called to say that he had taken yet another spill on his bike. Lacey says Trystin isn’t the type that complains about things, so if he does start complaining it means he’s really hurting. Nicole’s youngest, Maddy, had come down with the flue over the weekend, but she was able to recover. She said she didn’t have a fever, so she went of to school (even though Nicole objected). But last night her oldest girl, Morgan, ran 103 fever and was miserably sick.

...well, there’s not much else to talk about and Supernatural will be on soon. That’s reason enough for me to go ahead and close out. Later, sunshines!

First thing’s first…

Vote for me!

Gosh...I sure do know how to disappear don’t I? Well, it takes time and energy to read LJ Idol posts. Oh! And the marvelous C.S. Hayden posted another chapter of Koiji! Totally rocked my socks and I’ve read over it 3 times already ^___^ ! God, I hope it’s not long before the next one! I wanna see Kirin (or Ari-chan, or Kai-sama, or hell even Master Setsu and the hatchlings) whip Happa’s tail! He’s the type of male that really puts a bad name on the sex. It’s like he’s personally defeated when Ari-chan chooses someone else, and what does he do? He takes it out on Kirin! It’s not Kirin’s fault Happa wasn’t chosen (well, maybe partially his fault, but still, his attitude could be better). He doesn’t even notice Galena, who’s obviously lonely from lack of attention. It’s like, there are more females than males…it’s not like you don’t have others you can consider. And it’s not like you’ve gone out of your way to make her feel like you’re interested in her. Geeze!….ok, enough ranting about fan fiction =.= I promise.

Work’s been draining too. I had sugar crashes two days out of this week and ended up going through work like a veritable zombie. D-Monthly is over for the month, thank you God. The nurses and my mom both think I’m anemic because I take two B12 complex pills every morning and have been for four months now, and it does absolutely nothing for me. The nurses suggested taking iron supplements, but mom’s afraid it’ll make my joints swell up (which is what happens to her when she takes them). But at some point you just gotta risk it, you know? It’s either that, or I should start taking something specifically for energy. As it is, I take the two B12’s, C, E, Fish Oil, and Clairton D every morning. Oh, but to report some good work news, they now have Barq’s Root Beer in the vending machine downstairs ^__________^ So happy!

Now for stories from work. Yesterday, Karen (office manager down-stairs) loaned us both Taylor Hicks and Katherine Mcphee’s CDs. We listened to Taylor’s and all agreed that it wasn’t as good as it could’ve been and we hoped the next one would be better...Then we put in Katherine’s…At first it was like, “Hmm. It’s good…but it sounds like other people. Like not original. That one sounds kinda Christina-ish, and that one’s a bit Britney-ish...but none of it is really original.” Then came the song Open Toes. O….M…..G…..We had such fun with this song. Ok, so evidently it’s about her open toed shoes right? Well she says she’s got to have them when she goes out at night because “Them boys, they like them open toes.” And I turned to Lacey and said, “I’m sorry, did she say ‘Open Toes’ or ‘Open Hoes’?” So now, it has been christened Katherine’s Open Hoes song. We laugh every time someone brings it up.

Another amusing anecdote: Lacey asked a few minutes ago “So, Mardi Gras is on a Tuesday right?” and I was like “OMG, you did not just ask me that.” And she was like “I haven’t looked at the calendar! I don’t know!” and I’m like “Lacey…Mardi Gras if French for Fat Tuesday…” /insert giggle-fit here. That was just priceless.

Speaking of Mardi Gras, I searched online for the local parades, and printed out a new calendar for the month at work so that everyone would know when and where the parades were rolling. I also went through my uber-calendar that I keep in my purse which has the holidays on it. I used it as a reference and put the holidays where they go. Then I updated vacations and who was going to be off when. My nerd points increased once I finished ^.^

Ooooh…thank God it’s Friday. Even if there’s supposed to be rain and parades. I’ve never been much of a parade person. The only thing I enjoy about Mardi Gras would be the king cakes ^.^ I haven’t had the chance to get one, but I’m hoping since I got paid today I’ll be able to. Oh happy day.

Well...I guess I’ll be heading back to work. Later, Sunshines.

Oh my God! Being without internet has become a serious issue now. I’m so bored at home. It’s just rediculous. I hate having to wait for work. And to top it all off, my computer has gotten slower. It takes about 30 minutes to get on, log on and actually bring up anything. And then it lags between actions =,= It’s gotten to the point that I don’t even turn it on anymore. What’s the point? Even worse, my nerdy computer friend linuXman has announced that he can’t help us. So we’re gonna have to just break down and ask the geek squad at Best Buy or something. I really just don’t know what else to do. I’ve saved everything I needed off of it (I think), so it doesn’t bother me if they have to whipe it clean.

In other news...I’ve written a huge letter to my cousin on something that I really want to post about, but can’t yet. I’ll wait till she’s told me she received the letter first. Then we’ll see.

Oh, yeah, I had a weird dream that I’ll be posting about later. ^_____________^

Also, I’ve uploaded a crap-load of pictures to the ‘Stuff’ Album on my FaceBook. That was ammusing. Other than that, I’ve got a double quarter pounder with cheese calling my name. Adios!

Today hasn’t been very good at all. I woke up around 9 this morning, and I had dark motes swimming all over my eyes. This usually signals a doozie of a migraine about to bite me in the ass. Sure enough, I had a huge headache all over my face, behind my eyes, and all around my skull. Turns out I was having a sinus headache along with one of my doozies, so I had to take sinus medicine and migraine medicine. I slept from about 11 to 4 and I couldn’t stayed sleeping. Now I’m groggy and I just feel sick. So, I’m laying low and taking it easy right now, in hopes that everything’ll be better tomorrow. Now...if you’ll excuse me...I can no longer stay upright...and I’ve got a date with the Master’s Saga.
