- 20:49 @DJTimeKiller Nevermind. It's probably nothing. #
- 20:50 You know, even someone who believes in abstinence can see the absolutely mind-boggling power of lust -..- #
- 20:51 It's not like I'm blind or stupid. Envy and Lust and Wrath are amazing forces. What the hell is Pride next to those? #
- 20:51 No offense intended to present company of course.... #
- 20:53 @Umamor1 <..< so you're saying it's a tiny stepping stone to something bigger and better? I totally agree with that -..- #
- 20:55 ...hey, you know that reminds me. I always see illustrations of the 7 deadly sins, but I never see anything about the 7 heavenly virtues... #
- 20:57 @Davlenagain Well yeah but technically greed, gluttony and lust go together. They're just a specific focus on wanting too much of something. #
- 20:58 @Davlenagain Right...because it's impossible to make 'virtues' sexy =..= Are there NO artists that think outside the box... #
- 21:00 @Pride1G ....really... really? Gluttony is wanting too much food or drink, Lust is wanting too much sex, and greed is wanting too much wealth. #
- 21:03 @Pride1G Fine. Wanting too much physical pleasure. Whatever. Either way, it's all wanting more than the healthy amount of something. #
- 21:04 @Pride1G At least that's what most of the text books and literature I've read concerning the 7 deadly sins say.... #
- 21:05 oh hey, you know what would be awesome? A scene of each sin paired with a it's opposite virtue... God, I wish I could draw =..= #
- 21:07 @wotcherscamp Yes, dear? #
- 21:07 @Pride1G ....what ARE you talking about.... #
- 21:08 @wotcherscamp O..O that would be so freakin awesome :D #
- 21:10 It could be worked two ways... I mean, either the virtue could be trying to redeem the vice, or the vice could try to corrupt the virtue... #
- 21:11 Oh God, Charity taking Greed's money and giving it to the poor would be so funny tho x3 #
- 21:12 Or Pride all smugly grinning down at Humility ...hehehe...o..o uh...scratch that never mind. I'm bad at conceptualizing. Baaad. #
- 21:14 Although that makes me wonder...would the vices and virtues be all the same sex, or would it be opposite sexes.. #
- 21:15 …and what sex would personify what? O..O oh man, this just got so complicated =..= #
- 21:18 @wotcherscamp You know what, you're way over-worked as it is. I'm gonna just shut up about it now >..< #
- 21:20 ...I could so see some innocent chick representing chastity, all tied up with a collar and leash, and Lust as a guy nibbling on her ear.... #
- 21:22 ...and I actually just tweeted that too...ok. I'm leaving now >..< #
- 21:22 @Pride1G You have absolutely no idea.... #
- 21:29 Ok, final words on the subject: Male: Lust, Kindness, Patience, Pride, Gluttony, Greed, & Diligence. #
- 21:29 Paired with Female: Chastity, Wrath, Envy, Humility, Temperance, Charity, & Sloth. #
- 21:30 I need noms =..= where's that lasagna I made <..< #
- 21:33 @Pride1G It's a bit of a struggle, but males already dominate the vices, and I really don't want to draw up a 'men=bad.women=good' thing.... #
- 21:34 ...tho, I wouldn't say that picture pairing of Lust and Chastity exactly looks bad ...at all... #
- 21:39 ... I need a shower -..- #
- 21:42 @Umamor1 ...huh... I so pictured you more as Wrath trying to own Kindness ^..^ #
- 21:45 @Umamor1 or me with my arsenal... #
- 21:47 @Umamor1 I suddenly long for my crossbow and bowie knife... #
- 21:50 @Pride1G night. Hmm...pancakes. #
- 21:51 @Umamor1 Oh. I'll make pancakes. No one says I'll be sharing them. #
- 21:53 @Pride1G A God forsaken hour if ever there was one. #
- 21:55 That's it. I'm showering. #
- 21:56 @Umamor1 Night :) #
- 22:32 Shower felt great. I really need tf get some more sleevless men's shirts -..- only got 1 and it's all I wanna wear post shower. #

la la la la - This is My Stop
2009-Jun-12, Friday 11:38 pmFor some God-awful reason, I cannot get some of the songs from the Daria musical out of my head! I keep repeating “The big wet rainstorm’s over!” and “What if the town blew away” o..o
/clears throat. Gosh, but it feels like ages since I actually made a post. I rely on Twitter a lot to convey those little dribbles of everyday life...Today, there will be no tweets though, as I took a bit of a mental health day. I just read and amused myself all day long. If you can call reading manga via the internet 'reading'. It's not the old fashion style of having a physical tome in your hands and curling up in bed to enjoy it (which I much enjoy), but it'll do.
So! ... I was lollygagging about on deviantart the other night, when I happened to stumble across a very talented artist by name of kara-lija. She has some absolutely beautiful stuff really, and I was just so taken with her style. I came across one of her misc creations, and she said it was from Boys Over Flowers. So, I decided to head over to One Manga (thanks, Reiko!) and see if they had that available to read. Aaaand they did!.... 240 something chapters of it O..o' So... I started reading it. I got though 125 chapters =..= Of course, around 10 tonight, I had the amazingly bright idea to head over to Anime Squish (thanks, Scamp!) and see if they had the anime available to watch....and they do.
I only got to watch a bit of the first episode, but since I've read the manga... I kinda know what's going on and all. Although, I beginning to wonder if Anime Squish has problems with all the first episodes. The first Ep of PGSM wouldn't play either, and the first of BoF isn't right... the sound and the picture are askew. Then again, it's really the only place I know of you can watch subbed anime for free -..- Of course, now that I've spent all day on Mako-kun, reading the manga... My eyes feel strained from staring at the screen (and growling at the computer & internet connection). So... I'm not enthusiastic about letting the video load and then watching it =..= Maybe tomorrow.
In Totally Unrelated news; Mom's home from her Distract Assembly trip. She said that actually had a tornado scare this afternoon. No one was hurt at the assembly, but it was still more excitement than they'd wanted. I told her that a few days ago, I noticed a small reddish, pimple-sized bump on the top of my thigh and above my hip. It didn't bother me over-much. But then, it itched a bit, and I did what I could to ignore it. Then... I woke up and the bumps are the size of dimes. Malformed, melted dimes, but dimes none the less! She simply looked at me, like a cow looks at an on-comming train and said, "Yeah, Hon. Those're chiggers... they call 'em red bugs here in the country." =..= She then informed me that I might need to rub some sort of ointment on it, but otherwise it shouldn't be much of a bother... other than the overwhelming urge to scratch >..>
<..< ... >..> ... I really have little else to say. Other than wondering when I'll have to make the mad-dash to straighten up around here for Bear and Scamp's visit, I've really little to look forward to. I did drop off a resume at a doctor's office that's in desperate need for help. I called them as well, and they said they'd tell their office manager (who was off on vacation, but would be coming back in a few days) that I was very interested in the position. Other than that, there really are no new developments.
Well...I'm about to have my evening bowl of cereal and then it's off to bed for me. I'll write latter, Sunshines :)

Solo Again
2008-Aug-11, Monday 09:49 amBack to normal…sort of. I’m solo once again. I brought Scamp to Patterson Sunday morning, and her parents met me there to pick her up. It’s always strange coming back to an empty house when someone else has occupied it with you for a while. Also, my work schedule has gone back to the 8 – 5 routine, which…makes me feel like I’m almost sleeping in now. Got to admit, after a dragging Friday work-wise, the rest of the weekend was pretty awesome.
Around 5:45 I ordered some sushi from Zen – 4 rolls; Saints Roll, Rock-N-Roll, Tempura Roll, and Cucumber Wrap roll. Scamp and I then gorged ourselves on Sushi, and in the end, we had like 2 or 3 pieces left over. Not of the Cucumber wrap or Tempura roll, let me tell you. It’s like the perfect blend of rolls. Seriously. The tempura roll is shrimp, crab, avocado, wrapped in rice and fried in tempura batter. It just zings in your mouth, all salty and good….and the cucumber wrap rolls is crab meet wrapped up in cucumber, which is refreshing and yet rich at the same time. So, it’s like the perfect combo. The Rock-N-Roll is mostly shrimp, rice and avocado (at least, that’s the tastes that rule when you’re eating it). It does come with a dot of this mysterious red sauce...which is so hot, I cannot eat it at all. Scamp tried and nearly gave herself an asthma attack. The Saint’s Roll is crawfish and avocado wrapped in rice and then shrimp with spicy mayo on top. I can only take so much spicy mayo, but it is very good. I’ve come to the conclusion that you should always request “sauce on the side, please”…just to be safe.
And after careful consideration...we decided to have our favorite roll combo for breakfast Saturday morning. After we polished it off evenly, we sort of stared at the empty to-go boxes as if to say “Awww…no more?” Then we got up and finished the house work. Yes...we are a great pair of geeks, but being from the south implies a certain obsession with food. So there!
Saturday morning was a toss-up between cleaning and watching Daria. Then Scamp told me she was so tired, so around 4 I told her to go take a nap, and I would wake her up in time for her raid that night. I read some more of Breaking Dawn (I am going to sit down one day and re-read the whole thing instead of just skimming it), and then at 6 I woke her up. Her raid was…amusing. If only because her friends are amusing. There was a moment when she turned my mic on and I turned up the I’m Blue song by Eiffel 65…which inspired some dancing and some shuddering ^..^ Either way it was amusing. I turned in before the raid was finished, no longer able to focus…then again, I didn’t take a nap in the afternoon.
Sunday, after waking up around 7:30ish, I got up and straightened my hair (because I hadn’t blow dried it the night before, so it was all crazy-like). Then, after packing up the car, we left, hitting Burger King up for breakfast on the way. We were in Patterson around 9ish and then her parents picked her up and it was me coming back home solo. Though, we did get together on WoW for some nice RP. It was fun. Even if we didn’t really do anything.
I need to contact the local ford place to see about getting my car checked up. I need to get the brakes done, the tires rotated, the transmition checked and the oil changed. I also need to get them to see about the CD player. I mean…really. There’s no reason I’ve let this go on so long. With all the trips I’m taking (and going to be taking) I really just want to get that seen to. I get paid again on the 22nd, so I’m gonna ask for an “appointment” on that day, or after. The only thing I really have to worry about is transportation to and from the place. I’ll figure it out. Either way, the Puma needs a check-up ^..^
And that’s my weekend. Oh…late last night, I made myself a new icon. /giggle. I think it’s funny! It's a Twilight icon. Behold!
I might be the only one to enjoy it...but enjoy it, I do.
…I guess that’s all. Going back to normal work hours and...since Monday night is 15% off, I shall earn Scamp’s ire by having sushi tonight! Later, Sunshines!

There's a few beliefs you hold because you hope they're true - not because they've been established as true. |
9, much like 11, is a number I like for my own quirky reasons. But 9 turned into a foreboding number yesterday. I got home from work and changed into something more comfortable, straightened up the living room a tad (Reiko was coming over) and then headed over to my parent’s house. Dad was supposed to spray my house, so I asked him if he found a wasp nest on the back of my house. He said, “No, I didn’t find a wasp nest, I found nine!” O..O’’’ Wow. So, yeah. That explains the wasp problem I’d been having in my house. Hopefully I won’t have to worry about it….well, I’m sure I won’t since Dad said he practically hosed down the backside of my house ^..^
Reiko dropped by around 6:15 yesterday afternoon. She showed me the trailers for the soon-to-be movie Twilight, based on the book. I seem to remember the book…at least, the cover of it…I think my Twin had told me it was awesome. So I was excited to see that a movie about it is coming out. Really should get those books before the movie comes out. She also dropped off The Pearls, which she said was amazing, and she’s upset that the next book in the series doesn’t come out till November. Then we watched Tin Man, or at least the first “episode”. She thought it was awesome and she said that was something her dad would love since he was a Wizard of Oz freak. She left around 9, so I didn’t get to shower till then.
It was pills, quick shower and then BED!!! For me. I slept so hard and so good. I swear it’s the best night’s sleep I’ve had for about 2 weeks. Unfortunately…I woke up at 7 O..O I leave for work at 7:30. So, in record time, I put on coffee, got dressed, straightened my hair, ate cereal and left. Well, I guess at least I know now that I can do that if I need to =..=
Oh, yeah, something else great happened yesterday! I did a random search for Invasion American DVDs because sometimes that stuff happens and I have no idea until much later. Well, I found this place called iOffer. I found all the 13 episodes on DVD available by this amazing seller, the store's called Lion-O’s Den, so of course she rocks (...at least I think it's a she O..o). She has some really great products up there for really good prices and they’re all in great quality. So I’m stoked. Not only did I get all of Invasion America (PS: there are 7 other copies of it if someone wants to get it too!) I also got all of Daria, which I’ve only ever seen the movies out. So I’m uber happy, even if I’m completely broke. It’s ok though; I get paid Friday. Hell, I would’ve bought it even if I had a week to wait for fresh money. I haven’t seen I.A. since it aired in ’98 and I am so excited to get it.
Speaking of things that are awesome, I’d totally forgotten it but I ordered THIS PEACE OF AWESOME a while back, and I finally got it in the other day! I wore it to work even (and since it was black shirt Tuesday, it actually matched). It’s much smaller than the one that he wears in the movie, but that’s good because it is made of metal and something that big would give me a headache. It’s perfect if you ask me.
…there are a lot of links in this post. But I’ve been so sick for so long, I haven’t felt like saying much and now, I have so much to say! But now I’m running out of things to say….tonight, since I’m actually feeling better, I’ll be at church. Ohh…I really must wear my new necklace ^..^ Mom’ll love that /sarcasm. Oh well. It's like it's the first time I've ever seen ...

Dorky
...a snake. I just saw a snake in my yard for the first time. Ok, maybe it wasn’t the first time. I mean, I’ve seen what looks like a snake’s body in my other yard before just before seeing it slither off (quite quickly) and thought ‘huh, that was probably a snake’. But today for the first time, I saw a snake in the open and very clearly in my yard.
Ok, so from the top. I was walking Max around the yard a few minutes ago (my cousin’s dog who we dog-sit when they leave town). Anywho, One minute I’m trying to find some shade to walk him in and thinking about the amount of leeches I’ve seen in the grass; the next minute I look up and there’s this little snake underneath my Mom’s grapefruit tree. Of course immediately my stomach clenches and flops, I get short of breath, and my heart does that odd double beat. All signs of a) sheer terror; b) falling in love; c) all of the above. So there’s a good four or five feet between us, right? The dog hasn’t seen the snake (Thank God), and I give it a bit of a wide berth. Now, while we’re casually walking away, I take my time observing said creature. I realize that it’s standing up into a striking position (it must’ve been so scared -.-), but really it’s only about the length of my arm. It’s a dark tawny gold color, lighter on it’s belly with dark rings on it’s back. The whole time I’m observing this snake (and it’s observing me), poor Max is just poking along just trying to find a decent place to pee, and I'm here about to pee all over myself. He’s oblivious and I’m so grateful because the snake probably couldn’t take the stress of a dog lunging at it without retaliating and I couldn’t take the stress of the retaliation and might do something stupid. So, I lead Max away from the snake and we go about our routine, only I’m slightly more vigilant now. We head back inside and I tell Mom as calmly as I can because she has a phobia of snakes and gets freaked at the sight of a rubber one. So she tells me to call my Aunt Doris, right? So I do and I tell her about this snake. She says it’s probably either a king snake or a coral king snake. Of course, me being the American Dunce that I am, have no idea of a distinction. Mom hears the word ‘coral’ and gasps without even listening to the rest. I calm her down and see her off (she has a doctor’s appointment this morning), and then head back inside.
That leads us here, where I rushed onto LJ just so I could post about this before I got too calmed down and forgot everything. Now that the whole thing's happened, I can hear Ethelinda in my head telling me that I really should know more about snakes. Now's a great time to broaden my knowledge beyond those pathetic Wildlife Fact File binders of mine and really find out about the reptile/amphibian/bird/insect world. Of course I see through her ploy.
Now that I’m here though, I was watching the History channel this morning (something I actually enjoy doing, mind you), and what was on but a special about Stalin. Of course the minute I read that I heard Tom’s voice say, “I’ve always liked Stalin. Any leader who changes his name from Jughashvili to Man of Steel has my vote...so to speak.” Of course, I had no idea who Stalin even was. I tell you, I love my country, but I hate our education system. Our history comes first when we teach, other countries come later and we only give out the history we want to give out. If it didn’t happen here then it’s not important -.- But I got overly board hearing American history over and over as a child and totally lost interest. Makes it hard for a kid to actually seek out information. I do like the History channel if only because it comes off rather unbiased about history. It shows the good and bad and we’re left with what’s in between and the ability to decide on their own. I bet they sell DVDs...that might be something to look into later.
Well, I need another cup of coffee (keying myself up after my snake incident...strange no?) Talk at ya’ll later, Mina.

Hoarding Icons

Cynical
Wow. I mentioned in my private journal (
ruby_unicorn) that I might go ahead and get a paid account for this journal. Since then, I’ve looked into getting plenty of icons and graphics to make icons when I do happen to get the paid account. Thus far, I’ve got 37 icons, and that’s not counting ones that I still want to make. Damn me and my OCD tendencies.
The main themes that I’ve been looking for are TV shows that I enjoy if I should choose to post about them (Gilmore Girls, Supernatural, the CSIs, Daria), and then I have a few random ones that I just want for fun, and of course the ones that are all ready mine. I definitely want to make a few more with my game characters (EQ, CoH, and eventually WoW)…I’m excited, can’t you tell?
Ok, what else to talk about. Oh, Reiko came to visit last night. She wanted to update her My Space. We also went out for some McDonalds McFlurries. That was...interesting. We always have fun though.
I think that’s all for now. I’m gonna be going to lunch soon. I need to post the next chapter of the EQ Saga too...I’ll do that when I come back na no da. That’s all she wrote...for now.

...a decent entry?

Drugged
Yo. Not much really going on here. I haven’t felt that great the last couple of days, and I figured I had nothing to post about anyway.
The only thing worth mentioning is that I did get a new D&D book from Books A Million along with a BAM membership for a year. I figure I’m in there so much as it is, I might as well have the damn card. The book is Races of the Wild. It’s about Elves and Halflings and Raptorans in the D&D world. It’s got a bunch of other races too like Gnolls and Cat People, plus their classes too. I’ve only read a bit about it, and I’ve enjoyed it so far. It reminded me that I wanted to put a small Raptoran-like race in my world whenever I finally get around to it. Whenever that’ll be. That’s another spot that’s gotten so depressing. I really want to hurry up and get the thing together, but every time I try to forge ahead something just stops. /sigh maybe I just need to stop pressuring myself.
I hate that Live Journal doesn’t have me automatically logged in. I used to have it so that it was my homepage and whenever I opened up my web browser I was just logged in. Now it doesn’t work, and I have to log in. It sounds frivolous, but it’s a huge time thing. I automatically go to my friends’ page whenever I get on, and if I’m not logged in there are a few people I just can’t see. So, I have to remember to actually log in first. Maybe I should just switch my style back...I wonder if that’s the problem...Am I being whiny? I think I am...I blame it on my hormones. I swear I’ve been an absolute menstrual case lately. Friday, I cried when Luke gave Lorelai a doughnut. Seriously...
Dad went out off shore Thursday night. I think I’ll write him an e-mail tomorrow. I feel too drugged to do it right now. I can barely get a decent entry out here.
That’s all for tonight. Tomorrow will be a gauntlet as it always is. Goodnight.

You are...
Daria
You're down to earth, cynical and quite sane,
though you do tend to over-analyse things.
You have a plain, untainted view of the
world, which explains why you're so wary of
it. You see the crap that goes on, and it
makes you wonder about the sanity of everyone
else. You're content with your life and need
no one else to tell you how to live it, or
what will make you happy. You only need your
close friends, and perhaps a strong lover to
be beside you to keep you going.

Pork Chopes and Pocky
2006-Jan-23, Monday 11:05 pm
Blah
Ok, so today was updating web stuff, and that’s about it. Mom and I were feeling terrible so we didn’t get much of anything done. I did find a part-time position in the paper, and I sent off a resume to it. I find that I keep getting headaches and I can’t find anything that actually holds my attention. I hate it.
In an attempt to help Mom out around the house, I did clean out both bathrooms, and this afternoon I did make pork chops in a brown gravy for the first time. I didn’t even burn up any vital appendages or anything either! I celebrated by opening up a box of Pocky ^.^ But I didn’t enjoy the food that much...nothing really tastes right.
I guess that’s my day, as sucky as it is. I’m gonna go watch Daria: Is it Fall yet? and wait to fall asleep. Goodnight.

Important Obsessions
2005-Nov-19, Saturday 09:37 pm
Excited
Yo. While my earlier post was entirely humorous, I intend to continue on while my usual banter as opposed to spamming you with funny things I get sent in e-mail. That was just too funny to pass up though. Anyway!
Dad came in last night. I don’t think I posted that. But he got in late last night. He brought me a cheese burger. It was a Whopper with cheese, and I usually like those, but he’d had it since morning, and it was partially bad. Oh well, it’s the thought that counts, right?
Jobs fair this morning didn’t quite turn out the way I thought it would. Mom had implied that there would be tons of doctors there wanting people. However, it was just a normal jobs fair with people from all over including McDonalds and Home Depot. So, I passed around from table to table asking who was hiring and what for, and then I headed home. It only took 20 minutes or so. Hibernia bank was the first to actually reply by sending me an e-mail that linked to their online applications. However, I can’t remember the exact dates of my high school, nor can I remember my grade averages. +_____+; Oh well, I’ll get that as soon as I can.
I then came home, received The Daria Database book that I’d ordered, and began reading that. But we all got really really sleepy, so we decided to go to town just to have something to do. We ended up buying my gift to Bub, and a chair for my computer desk. I had to make do with an extremely old, uncomfortable chair, but now I have a nice fancy one. And it only cost like $80 something. So that was good.
Mom also talked us into going and checking out what the Toyota hybrids looked like. We were all in a jokey mood when we got there, so we kept saying funky things that threw the dealer off. Like, I was sitting in the back seat and I looked over my shoulder and noticed that the trunk was a hatch-back trunk that opened up to the back seat. So I said, “Hey! This means no one can put me in the trunk!” and then we took a tour of the trunk from outside the car, and he was showing us the spacious storage underneath the carpeted area, and we’re like “Good for smuggling.” And he shows us this thing that stretches from the back seat to the end of the trunk (effectively blocking anyone’s of what’s in the trunk), he said “Which is great if you’re carrying Christmas presents, and you don’t want anyone to see them.” And I was like, “Or if you’ve got a body back there.” And he pointed out the lighting that makes the trunk super visible, and I’m like, “To make sure you’ve cleaned up all the blood afterwards.” It was just fun.
Then we came home and assembled my computer chair. I got online and checked e-mail and such. I then asked if Dad wanted to watch the Survivor that he missed, and he did. So I put that on and took my shower while he watched that. Dad and I watched the end of the Survivor while drinking coffee. I’ve suddenly realized that I enjoy coffee a lot, if I’ve had the chance to doctor it up. So, I’m now a coffee girl. I make a cup every morning.
Now, I’m looking up more stuff about The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe on the internet. I cannot wait till this movie comes out. I can’t wait till all of them are out and I have them on DVD. Chibi (
amai_tenshi) and I have already agreed to go and see it with Reiko whenever it comes out to celebrate our Christmas. We used to celebrate by watching Lord of the Rings and exchanging gifts after the movie (or before, or after, usually after since Chibi’s always late and we have to hustle into the theater). However, I find I have many concerns when it comes to this edition of Narnia. Narnia was my first literary obsession, and I loved it throughout my childhood and right into my teen and adult years, so I hold it very near to my heart. I, in fact, have 3 copies of the Narnia books by C.S. Lewis; one soft cover set, one hard cover set, and the all-in-one huge book that’s fully illustrated and all. Considering my obsession well and pointed out, I will now voice my major concerns at this moment.
Concern #1: The Voice of Aslan. Aslan is the lion. He has to have a certain tone to his voice, it has to be rolling, deep, moving, and frightening all at once. Liam Neeson is playing the voice of Aslan. Now, I love Mr. Neeson, at least I’ve loved everything I’ve seen him in thus far. I’ve never seen anything that he did as far as voice acting. I am excited to see his performance, and I am equally terrified that it won’t be just everything that it’s meant to be. I just hope he rocks the hell out of this role!
Concern #2: Import/Export. Yeah, sure I sound like I’m covering for the mafia or something, but think about this for a second. In LOTR: The Two Towers there was never a company of elves sent from Rivendel (or any other place) to help them fight at Helm’s Deep. To me, this was a huge Import that was done on the part of Mr. Jackson and his staff, but it was one that I could see happening in a way. Perhaps it was something that he wanted to do to show the King that alliances were still being honored and they weren’t alone. Also, the entire story pertaining to Tom Bombadil was Exported, and I’m pretty sure we all know why. It wasn’t essential to the story of the Ring, and its bearers. The movie did have a time limit and there was only so much they could do. I’d say that Export was reasonable; I’m much more interested in finding out more about the story pertaining to the ring and ring-bearer than what and who they encountered along the way to Rivendel. However, I find I’m more worried over things working their way into the story of LWW that have no business being there but are there solely to keep you interested between point A to point B. I can see how it could happen, but I find the book to be captivating on it’s own without extra drama. Thus, I don’t think it needs additions or subtractions.
Concern #3: Over concern. You ever worry over something so much, that you think you’re worrying over it too much and you won’t be able to enjoy it? That’s me right now. For some odd reason, if Weta were working on this film I think I’d feel a lot better, just because I know they can do this. If Peter Jackson were working on the Chronicles, I would feel better because I know he can keep to a story without making too many changes or that the changes he makes will be in line with the story-tellers goals. But suddenly, I’m thinking things like, “Wait, that can’t be Susan. She’s supposed to be blond!” and “Shouldn’t Mrs. Beaver have some string in her mouth? Oh wait, she’s at the table, not her sewing machine.” I’ve gotten to the point where I’m, just trying to forget about the movie till it comes out so that I can enjoy it instead of criticize it.
And that is all. I have ranted and raved and carried on. I shall now go to bed (and hopefully then to sleep). 6:00 a.m. always comes so early. Goodnight.

Stomach Roll
2005-Jul-31, Sunday 10:15 pmSo, Mom saw me, and came and sat with me. I told her about it and she offered to drive me home. I took some alkacellcer and it made be belch so much I dry heaved. Then I sipped a small cup of warm tea to sooth my stomach. I then promptly showered and put on the dish-washer and waited for them by watching Daria: Is it College Yet?. They brought me white beens and rice with shrimp boulets and some peach cobbler. I ate every bite...except the bread roll. It was a bit crusty.
Now I’m tired, but I can’t sleep. So here I am. I guess I’ll check over my other friend’s things and then try to sleep again. Other than that, I hope I can just sleep this off. This is the second time this week I’ve gotten really sick to my stomach...I’d love to know what’s causing it.
| John McClane You scored 54% Ruthless |
You are John McClane from the Die Hard series. Although the real John McClane was pretty ruthless, the low score represents the way you use it. You are ruthless, but only when you have to be. You are an honest, slick thinker and have a noble presence about yourself, but you can certainly get dirty. When people piss you off, beware, because you can and will clean house before they know what hit them. You know how to handle your fair share of assault rifles, and you certainly know how to blow terrorists out of the water. You are a reliable agent who uses a good mix of brains and violence. |

Ranting and Raving
2003-Feb-13, Thursday 10:10 pmHey Mina. It’s been another while hasn’t it? Oh well. No biggie. Nothing that much has changed. Mom and Dad got off AOL so we’re with Internet8 now, which is fine by me. I have my AIM, Internet Explorer and Out Look Express. I’m coo. Though I admit I don’t get on AIM a lot. My bad. Not like a lot of people would talk to me when I was on though so I really haven’t lost much.
I just sent off for another Amazon.com thing for myself. I got the Atlas of Middle-earth—can’t let go of the Tolkien obsession—Daria Life Central—I'm a huge Daria fan, and would buy every single episode if only the Americans were as smart as the Japanese and sold such things—Let Go by Avril Lavigne—I’ve heard three of her songs and liked all of them, I was gonna buy the Vanessa Carlton CD but Avril has a edge to her and Vanessa's all gentle and everything so there ya go—and X-men 1.5 the DVD...for obvious reasons.
EQ has the new Legacy of Ykesha coming out...where we get to play frogs...I think it’s cool and then I wonder if maybe the EQ people are running low on ideas...I think it’d be really cool if we could play those sea people Prexus made. But that’s just me.
Things are slow in the work department, except on the weekends of course. This week I work Friday 6:30-8 (pathetic no?) Saturday 12:30-8 (or something like that, it could be 12-8:30) and Sunday I work 12:30-5. Which is a slow improvement. The last two weeks I only had four shifts.
I suppose that’s about it. I miss my Twin-san, but I have no idea what her schedule is, so I don’t know how to set up time to spend with her. My schedule is pretty clear for school. Monday, Wednesday and Friday go to school from 8:30-9:20. Simple no? Work’s more unpredictable. I can predict I’ll probably be working Friday Saturday and Sunday but other than that, who can tell? It’s a shame since I truly enjoy working weekdays, and yet I hardly ever get the chance to. Oh well, I’m not complaining. Puts money in my bank accounts.
And so it’s late and tomorrow is a Friday which means I will be waking up at 7 tomorrow, so I need my sleep...and besides Irene—my computer—has been freaking out all night doing weird things to me. Don’t know why she just has. But I usually Ctrl+Alt+Delete and she stops...for a while. Anyway, that should be enough. That’s all she wrote.
