Well, the air show really just didn't pan out. We left the church at around 3ish to get there early. We wanted to eat somewhere and take our time, because the tickets and the web page had said that we should be early since the show started at 6.... So, we went to Branson, and we ate at this lovely place, tons of Chinese food, but their sushi sucked. Still, it was some seriously great food. Then we got to the air show and after passing the mile marker where Jesus lost his sandals, we were directed 5 miles on red-clay roads. We got there around 5:30, checked in and sat down, and believe me, with Alicia and Mrs. Karen having bad knees, that took a lot of effort.........and it started to drizzle.

Don't get me wrong, I'm usually a pretty good sport about this. But we got there early like we were supposed to, and then they tell us that the show won't start till 7:30! Paster Sam and Mrs. Karen were fit to be tied, because they got a call from Julie around 4 saying that she finally delivered her baby.... if the show wouldn't start till 7:30, that meant we probably weren't getting home till well after 9 -..-'

Well, we endured it for a while. Well, till about 7:30 to be precise....but the announcers kept yammering on and on, and it kept drizzling and the wind kicked up and... well, 7:30 and still no air show. So, we decided to leave. At first the volunteers who were running the ticket booth did not want to give us our money back, but when we started loading up our lawn chairs, they finally relented.

Totally off of subject and all, but on the way home, I get a text from Twitter. It's from
Joel McHale of all people, and he posted "Okay, are your all coming tomorrow night to the paramount Theater in Denver to see me? I'll cry if you don't." It was so cute to me. So I replied to that with, "Sorry, McDreamy, you're 2 states west of me, and I'm still unemployed =_= Have fun though! (might wanna pack tissues..)." Maybe I'm just a big geek (we've established that, no?), but I'm fairly sure he enjoys the feedback :) I've been calling him 'My McDreamy' for ages, so I just got home and made this new icon. Snazzy isn't it :D ?

Well, it other Totally Unrelated news, according to Dad, that doctor's office I strolled into at the beginning of this week is in desperate need of an office person and my resume is on top of the list.... so I'm hoping to get a call.... but I won't be holding my breath. Still, it's hopeful /crosses fingers.

<..< ..... >..> ..... I can't think of anything else to say. Oh well. Guess I'll take that warm shower. Lord knows, standing out in the rain so long, it's over due :) 'Night, Sunshines.

I did it again, didn't I? I even missed Sunday Quiz Spam! I really didn't mean to, but in my defense, Mom came down with a migraine Sunday during church, and she has been sick with it ever since then....so I was sorta preoccupied at the time -..- I'll try to be better...anyway...

Ok, so today was exciting and fun. The water/plumbing is all hooked up at my house now. So I have that, just...no power yet :-/ Meh, I’ll take what I can get. But anyway. I had gotten a call Monday from someone named Manta. I had no idea who she was, but she asked if I was me and then told me that I had entered a drawing at Uncommon Grounds to win a free in-home spa treatment...and I’d won :0

So, she told me it would be a basic face, hand and foot treatment and asked when she could come over. So, I got Friday at 6 (today). She then told me that if 3 or more people were there, I would receive a free neck wrap. At the time I didn’t really understand what that would be, but I did understand that term ‘free’ perfectly :) So, I (of course) invited Mom, Aunt Carolyn and Alicia. And yesterday, Mom and I got a surprise visit, when my cousin (Aunt Carolyn’s daughter) Bernadine showed up :D She had driven all the way from Tyler, TX. Evidently her temporary job there had wrapped itself up, so she wanted to drive up and surprise her Mom. So, of course, Bernadine got invited to the spa thingy too.

It was a whole lotta fun. Especially the relaxation “exercise”....if exercise was more like that, I’d be fit as a fiddle ;) It consists of spreading a face mask, and lip mask over your face, and spreading a warm washcloth over your face, and laying comfortably, then listening to some guy with a soothing voice slowly make you focus on your breathing and take you through every single part of your body to relax it...and there’s soft music and birds singing in the background, and the nice lady comes over and rubs warm oil on your arms/hands and messages them as you relax. When that was over, we were almost, all of us, asleep. I come up from that and I told her, “Gotta say, when you came up and rubbing that warm oil over my hands, I totally imagined you were Vin Diesel.”

Of course, like I always do, I took a ton of pictures. I can’t post them tonight, but I’m definitely going to be getting on that tomorrow. Aaaaand, there will probably be yet another FaceBook album made tomorrow, since Mom wants to take Bernadine to see the Mystic Caversn...which, we’ve never really gone to. That should be fun :)

Anyway! I got free stuff from them too! As a gift for hosting the party, I got a free neck wrap (I totally get it now >..>) and a kit with some of their products, along with a bath pillow...which I was wanting since I have a new soak tub :3 Plus I got 20% off my order, so I’m all about having these parties again...especially when I found out that it’s totally FREE to host them..yeah, spread the word, yo.

.... I suppose it’s totally unrelated, but, Mom and I were watching The Soup tonight (this episode was awesome :D), and they had a huge ruckus about Twitter... I’ve been speculatively scratching my head concerning Twitter for a while now, mostly because I do enjoy having a nice full journal entry....but...now I’m sorta curious. I mean, I don’t really know if I have any friends (good friends as opposed to Celebrity “friends”) who are actually on the site or have a Twitter account...so, I’m not sure I see a point in it since...I would have no one to really “keep up” with...but on the other hand, it does sound intriguing. Especially considering how much I enjoy sending text messages :3 Maybe I oughta check it out....IS anyone on Twitter that I don’t know about?....maybe you just don’t have it linked to anything...but, I’d still like to know.

well, the day has been long and I’m super tired. Mom was feeling pretty good for the party today, but she said that once she slowed down she really started feeling bad again... that’s kinda breaking news since she just announced that through the wall o..o’ I know I’m tired, too. I hope she starts feeling better =..= Oh well. I’ll type later, Sunshines.

msmoon: (Supernatural - Drama!)

I sent off a resume for this reception job about a month ago, and it was at a paediatrics office. They were nice enough to call me and tell me that they’d already hired someone. But the doctor asked if they could keep my resume on file for later. I got a call this afternoon from them, and I have an interview for tomorrow at 10 a.m. O..O Wowzers! I mean, I feel like I didn’t even try for the position the first time around...it’s such a blessing to get asked for an interview. Of course....interviews don’t really mean much...I’m the first to tell you that much. Still, it is encouraging.

I was also happy to hear that Supernatural has been picked up for it’s fifth season! ....of course, that only means I need a job that much more...otherwise, I won’t be able to afford season 4 or 5 when they finally come to DVD ;) As is, I feel I’m sorta behind on my fandoms in a way..../stares longingly at S3 Bones Box Set. Not that I’ll be buying much of anything fun even for my first few pay checks. I’ll need to start saving immeadately....otherwise, I won’t have much of a savings to speak of -..-

In superficial news, True Beauty finally skipped off into the sunset. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve enjoyed ridiculing these so called ‘Beautiful People’ almost all season long...And, I did really love Billy (which, surprises me, since I don’t usually go for blonds), but...I don’t think I could’ve taken another week of Joel’s conceited attitude >..> Not Joel McHale, of course! But the dude on there named Joel who was a conceited jerk. No, Joel McHale is my McDreamy :D Aaaaand I hope he makes fun of the ‘Douchbag’ meeting just like he did last week :) Anyway. I liked Billy and Julia was pretty ok too (considering), but they had gotten...awfully smarmy (which fit in well with the judges I suppose). Also, can I say that the thing at the end with the chocolates was hilarious? It was! OK, so the gimmick to this thing is that these gorgeous people are competing against each other to be the most beautiful person in America; but, what they don’t know is the judges are also judging them on inner beauty and spying on their every move with hidden cameras all over the house. Well, at the end, they received a tray of chocolates with a card saying “Here’s a chance for you to see through our eyes - Your judges.” and they were staring at the chocolates like it was a puzzle, all the while not realizing that on the back of the card was the answer “Go Down Stairs” XD!!!! Hilarious! It was edited but it looked like it took them five minutes just to flip the stupid card over!

....Reiko’s birthday is coming soon. She’s gonna be 21....God, but it makes me feel old. I need to call her and ask which address she’ll be at. Otherwise, it’ll be hard for me to know where to send her present. It still bugs me that I didn’t get Celeste’s address...not that it excuses me from not sending her a card. Mom and I had found a local Hallmark store, and they have a ton of those great musical cards, and I was going to send her one of those but....well, Mom and I kept getting sick and forgetting. I should’ve looked her up on white pages.com or something. It’s no excuse =..= I’m usually on the ball with birthdays...dang moving anyway.

Oh, and I finally put my Twilight fic up on [livejournal.com profile] juli_bear . I private posted it ages ago, and I finally got around to proof-reading and publicly posting it. I swear, I need to get my butt in gear. Having moved or not, I was supposed to have that LJ as my Fan Fic/Group area, and I’ve only posted the first chapter of one fic so far! ...I guess I’m slugging because really Twilight is one of the few fics I’m working on currently. Every other fic has gone stale =..= But! The first chapter of my new Broken Wing is now available, and I’ve posted it to [livejournal.com profile] twilight_book as well :) I really hope having it posted with my LJ as well as having a community aware of it will help motivate me.

....I can’t think of anything else....I guess that means it’s time for me to shut up and distract myself elsewhere :) Talk later, Sunshines!

Dissappointing and Genki

2007-Sep-15, Saturday 11:55 pm
msmoon: (RVB - Red Bull)
That’s the sum of my day, people. It started off a little disappointing, and then ended gleeful. I woke up, got dressed, fixed my hair (so that it looked partially decent), and started cooking breakfast. Mom woke up just as I was finishing my eggs. The Floor dude was not at my house, which I found odd since Mom said he was going to start ‘early’ it was already 8 something, and there were now signs of life in the house.

We ate, watched The Soup, Mom hated it because of Chris Crocker and his Britney Spears obsession...man...Although I did enjoy Seth Green’s impersonation of him on the show. Anyway, we got ready, Mom checked in with the Floor Dude to see what it was he’d need (because he said he needed something). We went to Home Depot and finally found it, though not quite the way he wanted it. He needed T molding and stair molding; it was sold together, just not in the same dimensions he’d given us. So we had to compensate. We shopped for groceries and things I might need for the house and then we were home…

...and they were gone. Floor Dude had vacated, and only done a small part of my downstairs living room. Don’t get me wrong, it looks great...but he’d only gotten there maybe at 9:30 and we got back around 12 something. So why’d he leave early? Mom said he’d mentioned that he might not be done till Monday. Seems today is his 1 year anniversary, and he and his wife met in New Orleans and she wanted to go back to celebrate. So we did the only thing we could do. We left the molding in the house and just went back home. We ate and watched a bit of TV...but I wasn’t feeling great, so we took a break to rest…unfortunately, bloody hell week is keeping me up.

Reiko called. She said she had a cold and had gone in to the doctor to get medicine, when they noticed something. Her heart rate was off. So they decided to do an EKG to see if there were any problems. It turns out her left atrium is swollen (at least that’s what she said). They said that since her family has a long history of heart disease (namely her dad’s side), it would be wise to check it out before it becomes serious. So she’s trying to quite smoking (because the doctor told her that stopping might help the swelling to go down. I’ve only been reminding her of the link between heart diseases and cigarettes since I found out that she smokes), and she was proud to tell me that she’d only smoked one cigarette today. I was very proud of her because she does smoke a lot, and I do worry for her.

Mom asked if there was a good movie I had that we hadn’t seen that we could watch. I told her I still had The Holiday, and though neither of us like a lot of sex in a movie, that one was so good, we were able to see past it. I know sex is a part of life and all, but we all know what happens behind closed doors right? Just imply it, don’t paint us a picture. Either way we almost ate a whole jar of Tostitoes chips and dip while we watched...although I must admit, I was responsible for most of it disappearing.

Anyway, after that, we went and sat on the patio. Then, we went in and I convinced Mom to watch the first episode of Heroes...she loved it. I think it’s not so much that she loves it, but she got interested in what would happen next, and the show is great at cutting the individual story lines just when you want to know what will happen. Man, they know how to hook you. We watched the first disc and 3 out of the 4 episodes on the second. I just hope we can finish before the premier.

Oh, speaking of kick-ass entertainment, Amazon.com finally decided to ship out the second season of Supernatural. Not that that really means anything...I’ve seen the carrier wait to pick up a package for a couple of days. Either way, I’ll be a very happy psycho bunny when it does come in.

Also, at some point in time I bought this mug. It’s back-ordered, so I can’t count on it coming in any time soon, but I had to have it. So there ya go.

I really wish Invasion America was on DVD...I know that’s random, but I can feel my sleep meds kicking in and I tend to get that way when they do. I just really would like to watch it again...that was a good show.

Well, meds are kicking in so I really must go. Goodnight, Sunshines.

Dear God, why did no one tell me that Pizza Hut’s mild Buffalo wings were so dang hot? I ate them as quickly as I could and my mouth, lips, tongue and any general area that they touched was burning for 20 minutes @..@’ zomgwtfbflwrth. Don’t worry though, half a can of Dr. Pepper and half a personal pan pizza later, and it’s starting to die down =..= I wanted the Asian wings, but our Pizza Hut here doesn’t make those. /makes annoying ‘nya nya nya’ noises.

So yeah, for my lunch break I went over the The Soup’s web site and just kept watching the little plug in on the Vine...It’s way too easy to get sucked into that O..O’ I swear, I was looking at it for just a second and then…my lunch break was almost over. Geeze. Now I am reduced to writing stray paragraphs through the day as I get smaller breaks to compose an entry. This should be fun. Zomg, they have a The Soup So Meaty Mug!!! Ok, anyone that wants to get me that as any type of gift, go right ahead. I will not mind. Not one bit. (ADD anyone?)

Speaking of gifts, I went ahead and ordered myself the Dragons of the Crystal Cave Ornament Collection. I was sent the same offer in the mail as the one my cousin showed me, so I figured, what the heck and ordered them. I gotta think about that new Christmas tree of mine…especially since Mom gave the ornament I bought at the aquarium in TN away =..= And I just can’t be mad about it, because she’s tortured herself enough about it.

The weekend was not fun for me. I had a serious preliminary of bloody hell week, if you know what I mean. But I did get to rewatch the first season of Heroes...so that’s good. Mom was sick too, so really we did not get much done. We tried to get out Saturday morning. I wanted to look at something at Target and Mom treated me to breakfast at iHop. But we were feeling so bad that we kinda cut our ‘shopping’ short. I did end up buying two rugs for my outside my house (I’m thinking for one on the front door and one on the back) and they’re uber cool. One is a gnome standing next to a mushroom. He’s dwarfed by it too (punny!). The other (for my front door) says “Welcome” in the center and then has “Welcome” in other languages all over it.

Also, I got a DVD cabinet that holds 176 DVDs…don’t worry. I plan on getting another one ^..^ It’s not that I have 176 movies…but I definitely have over 100 and I’m gaining fast, so...I’ll need the storage space. It’s the type that has doors on it, and the doors have shelves on them as well. So, I was thinking of putting box sets in the doors and actual movies in the back...we’ll see how long that lasts. I’m collecting box sets of DVDs as much as the Movies I’m collecting. I have roughly 131 movies, 38 box sets and 26 anime box sets/movies….damn…I’d better buy another one of those cabinet thingies soon =..= That’s 195 movies right? Ok, if I have two and they both hold 176, then I’ll have 352. Phew...Yeah. Gotta get the second one.

Don’t you love it when I got to write something out and then literally do the math right there, having a divine revelation while I’m posting. God.

Ok, well...Nothing else to talk about. Got a lot of stuff coming in the mail this week that I’m looking forward to. That’s all that there is for now. Later, Sunshines.

Obssessive Much? Nah!

msmoon: (Obsessions)
Ok, so I promised that I wouldn’t spend too much this check, if only just to make sure that if Mom needed help, I’d have it for her. But that didn’t mean I had to just not buy anything. So I went ahead and pre-ordered Transformers, even though it doesn’t come out till October 16. I just saw that it was available for order...and had the money. So yeah. I figured why not.

Of course when you take a look the new movie you bought, you end up looking at the other new movies soon to come out. Oh, of course you don’t mean to, but Amazon.com feels it necessary to show you all the ways they can take your money. Kind of them to provide such a service, no? Anyway, I managed to spy Pirates of the Caribbean - At World's End, but that doesn’t come out till December 4, so I’m thinking of just buying that and Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest in one package. Also there was Fantastic Four - Rise of the Silver Surfer (October 2, 2007) because I’m just a die-hard fan like that, and Spider-Man 3 (October 30, 2007). Both good movies…just not as important for some odd reason...

In other news, I have watched all of Heroes – Season 1...zomg. I’m so glad that I decided to buy that early on before the second season came out so that now I can watch the second season and not feel left in the dark. This coming Tuesday, both Bones – Season 2 and Supernatural – Season 2 come out. I cannot contain myself. I actually didn't get the chance to see all the episodes in the seasons, so I'm excited to see new things and memorize old things...and then memorize the new things till they're old ^..^ Luckily I will have that to distract me from the commotion that has become my house. In fact, I intend to focus all of my energy on anticipating and then watching those two things, just so that when the whole floor laying stuff’s going on, I won’t implode from excitement. That is the plan…let us hope that I stick with it ^..^

Ah well, I’m off to watch more Heroes until 10/9c when The Soup will be on. I missed Joel last week ;_; sad panda.

Goodnight, Sunshines!

Hurry up and Wait

Ok, so we’re a-bustle with activity. I’m half way to packed and not long to wait. Just waiting on a few items to be dryed. We went and got my hair straightened (itia) and cut yesterday. It looks all right…I guess. Everyone says that it looks good, and I have to admit, it does feel great. I’m just not used to it yet. Today we’re going to the mall to get pedicures and tie up a few loose ends. Then we just hang out, tending to things like cleaning, packing and organizing, till we leave.

As for our plans, we leave at 10 PM on Wednesday night. I’m driving for about 6 hours, and then Mom will drive the rest of the way. We’ll be relying on Gracie (our GPS) to get us to my Twin’s house. According to Google, it’ll take about 8 hours to get to her place. Then it’s all the way to the hotel.

The weather has been wonderful lately. I’ve woken up to thunder and storms every morning. Really my idea of wonderful weather. We were thinking that we’d be leaving the major rain behind, but Mom said that she saw rain over Tennessee as well…so, there’s hope that we’ll get some of that weather there too…I probably should’ve just asked my Twin how the weather looked for the week ahead where she was -.- Oh well.

Oh, last night, I was watching The Girls Next Door, and they advertised that The Soup would be playing on Mondays as well (so Mondays wouldn’t suck quite as much ^.^). It was the Best of the Worst Dating Moments, and next week is gonna be something else. I now have something else to occupy my Monday nights ^.^ Goody.

I’ve been playing Warcraft a bit more lately. I’ve been on my Draenei charactes...It’s fun…not quite as much fun with no one to play with…but still a lot of fun.

Well, we’re off to get that pedicure. I guess that means the clothes are done. Later, sunshines.

Thank God for medicine. Although the side-effects are...interesting. I started taking it...*thinks* Thursday...I woke up and took the pills at 7 when I usually wake up, right? So their like 12 hour pills, so I had to take one again at 7 PM. I took it and a little bit later...I kept getting the need to clean. My room is practically clean right now, with the exception of vacuuming and dusting. Everything’s been organized though. It was weird though...I’m feeling much better...even though I cant seem to get rid of all the flim-flam in my throat >.< So yeah...better!

In other news, our refrigerator still isn’t working right. S’a good thing it’s so cold out, because we’ve been making due with putting all our refrigerated items in ice chests outside. An inconvenience, to be sure, but nothing else is working. The rents called the repair man, but he says he can’t get the part needed to fix the fridge till Monday...so yeah. They said something about buying another (smaller) fridge to put in our utility room just to have extra room for food …and so we actually don’t have to go out into the cold and rifle through ice chests to get stuff =.=

Mrs. Marry’s birthday part was moved from the 6th to today. I’ve agreed to car pool with Lori and Lenda. I know they want to be there around 5:30, but they never told me where they were meeting or when O.o so yeah...Now I know what it’s like to be on call. I intend to bring my camera, and post the goings on here and put the pictures up on my FaceBook later.

I guess that’s all for today. I’m gonna go finish up watching The Soup and Starveillance, then watch more of the X Files. Tootles.

Annoying Buzzers

2006-Oct-20, Friday 11:22 pm
msmoon: (OMG! ONOZ!)
Well, I have two patients now. Mom called me right after I’d gotten home and informed me that Dad had called her and was sick as a dog along with 18 of the other men on the rig. She also said that she was feeling bad and would probably mosey on home sometime tonight. Dad got home and it turned out that he wasn’t sick from a virus or sickness, but because they’d gotten a new galley hand at the rig and the food was so terrible it gave all the men up-set stomachs and diarrhea =.= Honestly. He let himself sit for a while and felt a bit better just from resting; then, headed over to take a short shower and we sat and watched TV for a little while. But he got so tired and weak that he couldn’t really focus, so he went and laid down. Mom got in a little while after I wrote back to Gillian’s Amazon letter and she’s feeling terrible. I think they’re both in bed now. I hope the food Dad ate works its way out of his system soon...I’ll need his help with taking care of Mom.

I fixed us some Raman noodle (spiced up with a bit of Mrs. Dash), but he didn’t want his. Said he didn’t think his stomach could handle it. So it was just me eating. I watched a bit of The Soup with him, but he wanted to go lay down then, so I just turned off the TV (to give him the chance to fall asleep) and washed the dishes. I figured, Mom wouldn’t want to come home to a dirty kitchen and all. So, Twin-san, if you got on WoW tonight and wondered why I wasn’t there, this is why -.- Gomen ne. Oh, and in case you didn’t know, Ceire has mail. Gomen about that too =.=’

Luckily, Mom’s Christmas gift came in today. I wrapped it right away when I got home, so her gift is already wrapped. So’s Tiffany’s now that I think of it. But I ran out of tape right after that, so Alley and Scamp’s gifts are still unwrapped...which is good, ‘cause I haven’t finished stuffing that huge box that Scamp’s gift is in with packing. I need to pack it tighter so that there won’t be any spaces for the thing to move around.

Speaking of Scamp, we’ve been talking a bit about getting together for Thanksgiving….but it looks like we’re at an impasse here. Mom wants them to come down the week before Dad comes home, because (since we live here around Dad’s kin) Dad’s family always expect us to celebrate Thanksgiving with them. But Alex’s birthday is on the 11th which is the day Mom had planned. I mentioned something about maybe them coming down the Sunday before Dad comes in and her just getting her birthday present (which is totally separate from her Christmas present ^.^) a little early. But I think we’ve decided to tell our parents to work it out. Either way, I am bringing her her gift…if I have to come down the weekend before her birthday and spend and give it to her myself, then so be it. But one way or another, I want to give it to her myself.

In a related note, Scamp mentioned that Billy was cockney (not sure if I’m spelling that right or not, but hey, I spell ‘em like I sound ‘em out ^.^), and that they actually had a sort of language that they used as a way of confusing the local authorities because the cops back then didn’t like the cockney people overly much. Something to do with a lot of the words rhyme or something...it wasn’t overly clear -.- But anyway. I was thinking that’d be a great idea for my Knaves. Knaves in my story are a type of Rogue character. They’re can be anything from simple pick-pockets and thieves to master assassins. And of course it follows that, like in EverQuest, they have they’re own sort of language. In EQ they called it Theives’ Cant or some other such. But I was thinking that what Scamp’s told me of Cockney sounds perfect for the basis of a language for my Knaves. In theory at least. I’ve yet to put the idea into practicality.

Completely off subject here….there are flies in my house. I’m not talking about little buzzers either. No no no. These are big flies. There are at least 6 of them; 1 in the kitchen, 2 in my room, and 3 in the bathroom. They’ve been bugging the living hell out of me if only because I cannot figure out how they got here! I don’t leave my door open, so how’d they get in? They’re really bothering me too, because they’ll sit there on the wall forever to the point where you’ll be like “oh well, at least they’re not buzzing about me in that aggravating fashion.” And then they’ll be all buzzing about as if they’ve got a score to settle!

Ok. I’m too tired to go on, so that means this entry’s done for the night…..’night!

Nerd Talk

Wow. I just got disengaged from Gillian and it’s 2:15. I’m gonna be sleeping good tonight (and some of tomorrow I’m sure). I left work and hour early because our boss-lady was there, she was staying, and Lacey and I’d finished all our work. I went and had the Puma washed, then came home. We started watching Napoleon Dynamite...it didn’t really hold our interest, though...I must say, it has made Lacey seem a little more freaky though.

We tried to watch anime (Slayers) after that, but we ended up talking so much that I just shut it off. We did watch The Soup though. It’s so nice to have someone to talk to that doesn’t mind your sanity (or lack thereof). She told me a lot about her infamous Brits (Billy Goat & Sephiroth ^_^ ) and how badly she wants to meet them. Consequently, I also want to meet them. They’ve been planning on a trip to England for her, and she said it’d be cool if I could come along as her ‘chaperone’. That would just be so amazing. I’ve always wanted to go across the pond and meet cool British people. As much as I’d love it, I’m not getting my hopes up. Her Mom hasn’t made a final decision, and nothing that good actually happens to me.

The meds are so kicking in now, and I just can’t stare at the computer any longer. Goodnight all.

Autopilot and weed

Beware, for I am: Calm Calm

Ok, so today was trying but ok. Only a few things to touch on.

This morning, Nicole showed around 7:30ish and let me in. She said she’d have a key made for me that way I wouldn’t be locked out like that again. So, I worked from 7:30 – 11 and then went home and came back at 2 and worked till 5. I don’t think I’ll be doing that Monday. This week we’ve had a relatively light load of charts to log (only 166 for the whole week), but Monday is always our busiest day. So, I’ll be pulling the early morning crap later in the week.

Oh yeah. After coming home and eating, I’d gotten really sleepy. It was probably a mixture of the rainy weather and the fact that I hadn’t eaten quickly enough. So, when I went back to work I was noticeably tired. I went down stairs to make copies, and the doctor was there. He was talking to the receptionist, and I didn’t really want to interrupt. He stopped and said, “Hi, Tracie. You didn’t even say ‘Hi.’ To me.”

So I told him. “Sorry. I’m on autopilot right now.”

And he said, “That can be dangerous.” And I replied,

“Only if the pilot’s smoking weed in the cabin.”

*beat*

“...Wow...”

It takes a lot to actually stump the good doctor, so I found it very amusing. I swear the words were out of my mouth before I even had time to think. “Only if the pilot’s smoking weed in the cabin.” ? WTF, mates?

Uh...oh yeah. In other news. I was delighted as a giddy-teenage-fan-girl when I realized that not only Threshold, but also Supernatural was coming to DVD box set soon. Please pardon my drooling. I would’ve preordered them already if it weren’t for the sufficient lack of funds. But pay day is next week, so no worries there. And Mom gave me the money I’d used to pay for her medicine while I was in town. With gas being so high and all, I figured there was no use in making two trips, so I just picked up the stuff for her. Didn’t know it’d be that expensive though. But still. All’s well. As soon as I can get the DVDs that is -.- Threshold’s released on the 22nd of this month, and Supernatural comes out September 5...for all my fellow freaks who may be interested. I literally cannot wait to buy both of them. Seriously. I mean, I’ve already had to ditch the taped episodes of Threshold because I wore them down. And what sold it for me on the Supernatural disc deal? They have a gag reel! Any DVD that has a gag reel is worth watching if only for the gag reel, people! (Watch the Pirates of the Caribbean one! It’s a hoot! “Is that a plane?”)

Ok...what else? Oh yeah. The web site is taking forever to upload those pics of MechaCon. Seriously. It’s just weird that it does that. I never noticed it before this though.../shrugs Oh well. It’ll happen when it happens na no da.

Also, tonight’s episode of The Soup was so uplifting. I mean, it made me all giggly and that made me think “Oh! I should post!” Because I never feel like posting when I’m depressed because I don’t think anyone will want to read it or they wont care, but when I feel good...I think no one but me will care, but at least I still do! So yeah. Oh, and I so agree the Lou should’ve won that contest. Wait was the dancing one with Fergie? Man that was really whacked. How can they call that girl talented. She’s just a hoochie really. Ah well. In this country they award anyone and say their talented. Geesh.

Oh, another thing. So, this morning’s Angel was the one where they throw Spike into the Angel mix, right? Well, I’ve never really watched Buffy, ok? I’ve heard tale of this Spike creature. I’ve seen friends go gaga talking about him, and I’ve looked at pictures of him online...I had to say, I didn’t think there was much to him. I mean, sure. Ok. He’s not a whimp, obviously. And he has good grooming habits what with what it must’ve taken to get his hair like that and all. But honestly, he wasn’t overly appealing to look at, right? …This morning, I heard him talk...and I realized what the obsession was about. It’s the accent. Face it, guys. An accent used the right way makes girls bibbidy. Usually and more specifically, British accents, Cajun accents, European accents, and occasionally Austrailian and Kiwi accents. I now understand what the attraction is, ladies. And all I can say is, give the boy more lines. I want to hear him talk. Thank you. That’s all.

If there was anything else, I’ve forgotten it. So, g’night everyone.

Blue Moon

Beware, for I am: Drained Drained

Oh wow…work today was so tough. I got there around 9ish and after faxing maybe 3 things, I went straight into the hot room to file. Lacy joined me about 30 minutes in. We periodically came out for little breathers from the heat, and lunch breaks, but we never really got out of it till around 1. That’s when the mail (finally) came in. There were 69 charts in today’s mail. It took me till just after 4 to get them all sorted, labeled and logged...and that was with Lacy’s...help. Although, Lacy found MusicMatchbox not long after we sat down and we pretty much lost her to the tune. Man, that was hilarious.

Oh, and my shirts are in. The Soup one came in a few days ago and I just got the Red vs Blue one in today. At first, I thought that my Soup shirt didn't really fit, but after trying it on, I realized that it fit just right. It just makes it glaringly apparent that I have boobs. But, I'm female so I can do that. My Red vs Blue shirt is much more comfy. But I got a dude's shirt -.- Yeah. Sucks to be me. Anyway, here's some pics.

So, yaeh. I also put together some of my written stationary. So, let's see...I have my two 'fandom' t-shirts. I have money, and of course the stationary to write all my friends and tell them 'yo, got you a souvenere!' and such...What else should I be bringing? I know there's gotta be more...If anyone coments with 'clean underware' I'll so slash you with Tucker's big thing.

Oh, and my parents are gone...I can't remember if I mentioned that. They left yesterday morning to go to Texas. Dad's got some testing that he has to do for work and Mom just goes and relaxes at the hotel...she tends to do that whenever she can. Anyway, they're not coming back till Thursday night sometime...I was thinking of inviting Chibi to come over for an evening, but it'd have to be after 5 and I don't know if her mom would appreciate that. I still wanna watch Red vs Blue with her. And ask her what she thought of the other movies I left there and all.

I'm so tired. I think I might just try to turn in early tonight. Or at least make the attempt. For some odd reason, even when I take my pills early and all, I still can't seem to get to sleep till 11 or something. Just my luck. Oh well. 'Night.

My Type of Soup

Beware, for I am: Mellow Mellow

Wow...today was so much better than the rest of the week. Except for the first hour where I had to sit in the hot box and file and look for files...but the rest of the day was just making charts from the incoming mail. I did help Mrs. L with some of the files she has, but that was all good too. Other than a random fax and shred, that was my work day.

How about tonight’s episode of The Soup huh? God, I love that show. The only thing better than watching The Soup, is watching the best of the soup ^___^. They make everything fun in that bite-my-ass way! Man...where do they come up with all that stuff?

Oh well. I think I’m gonna go to bed. I’ve got an eye doctor appointment tomorrow morning...I hate eye appointments. It wouldn’t be so bad if I weren’t so ‘funny’ about my eyes. =_= They’re my eyes, people. No one should be touching them, dropping weirder out liquids into them or puffing air into them...necessary evil I suppose.

Interview Meme

2006-May-04, Thursday 04:12 pm
msmoon: (Gargoyles - Face me)

Beware, for I am: Geeky Geeky

This is an interview meme that I thwoinked from [livejournal.com profile] chaineddove.

1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by asking you five questions of a very intimate and creepily personal nature. Or not so creepy/personal.
3. You WILL update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

So, without further ado...

1. What is your most precious childhood memory?
I honestly don’t remember a lot of my childhood. What I did mostly other than daydream was climb the trees in our back yard and daydream. But there is one memory that does stand out a bit more than the random ones. It was 5th grade, Mrs. Perry’s class. I hated school, and what’s more I hated myself. I was stupid and slow and couldn’t learn and everyone always did everything better than me. But one day we had a free art period where she instructed us to simply use our imaginations. So I stared at a blank sheet of loose-leaf paper for about fifteen minutes, knowing full and well that I was terrible at drawing things. So I dumped all of my crayons out of my crayon box onto my desk...and I separated the junk from the good crayons. There was a lot of flecks of crayon wax from sharpening them, and crayon label papers and stubs of broken crayons and the like. Then I grabbed my glue bottle and smeared glue all over the page of paper...I’m sure everyone around me was watching me perplexed by this. They always made a habit of watching what I was doing and teasing me, but this was so weird they had no idea how to tease me. Then after I’d gotten glue all over the paper and my hands, I gently began placing the stubs of broken crayon down. Some of them were laying down (the bigger ones) and some were standing up. I made a strange pattern with the laying down crayons and then I built up the standing up ones around it in a strange oval-like pattern. Then I took the tiny stubs and crayon shavings and placed those around the bigger standing up crayons and then I started gluing the paper labels down flat to the rest till there wasn’t a part of that paper that wasn’t covered. The teacher walked over and asked what I had done, and I told her “This is a city.” The long crayons that were laying down were a river that ran through a city, the stubby crayons that were standing up straight were sky scrapers, the shavings and tiny flecks were houses and the paper labels were forests and pounds and rural land. She studied it for a moment and then she demanded that I let her have it to put up on her wall. She was so impressed that I used all the ‘junk’ from my crayon box (that any other kid would’ve just thrown away) and made it into something almost artistic, that she wanted to make sure everyone saw it. I was so pleased about it, and that’s when it hit me that I might not be very smart or athletic, but I could in fact be quite creative when I wanted to be.

2.What's your favorite movie and why?
Oh. Tough question. There are so many. Officially, I’d have to say the Lord of the Rings movie (and I say movie because Tolkien did not intend for it to be a trilogy, we just couldn’t handle it all at once). I’m guessing I just admire and respect Tolkien for his originality and his use of that when making his world. But then, The Chronicles of Narnia haven’t completely come out yet, so we’ll see how long this statement stands once all of Lewis’s Chronicles have been shown ^__^.

3. What is the one thing you wish you could write which you just haven't managed to do yet?
Hands down, my original story. I have bits and pieces of the story in my head, but I cannot connect them together for the life of me. I try writing the pieces down in hopes that I might just figure out a way to connect them, but it doesn’t work. I’ve tried to just start at the beginning and keep going, and it doesn’t work. I just can’t seem to make it work, but I don’t know how to fix it /shrug.

4. What is your dream job?
At this point, it’d have to be web design, but that’s because I can’t think of anything else. Sounds kinda lame to me now. If you would’ve asked me this ten years ago, I would’ve said “I want to be a rancher.” Because my passion was horses, and I wanted to own a lot of them and teach others how to ride them. I had a huge ambition when I was younger to take in battered and abused horses, and then have a program going where abused and abandoned kids could live there and tend to the horses. I think it’s awfully sweet now, but it’s completely impractical.

5. Am I EVER going to live down my old nickname and be known by my real name in your eyes? *lol*
Why in the world would you want to /grin? No really. You probably will...that is to say, when I think of you I think ‘Maaya’, but when I talk about you with other people (other people being Chibi), I refer to you ask Odango, because that’s how we both first came to know you. So maybe, yeah. One day when I grow up and get a life and start wearing makeup every day and suits to work, I might stop calling you that ^__^ (aka – don’t look for it to happen any time soon =.=).

In the words of Tom Cruise on The Soup’s Tom Cruise Watch...Much love...
