I am currently in my house... albeit fighting with my internet >..> But that's ok! I'm in my house! My bed and bedroom are all set up, and I just took my first official shower (after a very long day of moving various extraordinarily heavy objects into said house). The area with the best signal strength is in the back of the house around the office/guest bedroom area ...so I'm making due with what I have :) At least, until Dad moves the router to his bed room... then the signal might be better.... I hope. Either way, as long as it works.

The hardest things to move... were things with drawers in them. Dad and I spent most of our time taking drawers out of things and moving the drawers single file, then taking whatever the drawers were in. My night stands weren't so bad, right? And we took apart the bed and that made it a little easier. Still... it wasn't easy. I'm hoping that that'll be the hardest of things to move...because we still have my computer and TV/TV stand to move o..o

Dear God,

Please let the worst be over?

Much love,

Me

=..= So.... I'm basically just sitting in my guest room filling you guys in :) After that it'll be nothing but relaxing, and Mako-kun will turn into a glorified DVD player >..> No offense, buddy.

Tomorrow... or maybe even the next day, we're going to get groceries... for both houses. Because I'm next to bare over here and Mom and Dad are getting low too. So, we're stocking up tomorrow. Probably move a few more things too. As for tonight... I'm thinking of marathoning it :D Something to celebrate you know? I mean, I've got Chinese take-out in the fridge and all, so... what's better than left-over Chinese food and a movie marathon? So! That's where you shall find me now; in my house... watching hoards of movies ^..^

Later, Sunshines!

msmoon: (Supernatural - no good)

So, Alicia left. She followed me home Sunday night and we just hung out together till tonight. Most of our time was spent watching TV. But there was a point in which we went to Wal-Mart for a grocery run. Of course, we’re both book freaks so, we had to check out the book isle (meagre though it is). When we strolled past the Stephenie Meyer section, she happened to ask me if Twilight was a good book >..> So, I told her the truth of course. And! I did not force her to buy the book....just like the people who sell crack to school kids, it’s their choice to buy :D

That was Monday...I think. We got back and watched more movies of course. Tuesday she started reading Twilight around 1ish, and she didn’t stop till some time after 6. Then...she got her stuff, got in her car and went to Wal-Mart to buy New Moon. O..O Whoops...my bad. Uh, then she read that till about 3:30 in the morning. When I woke up this morning around 11 (yes, we stayed up late so I slept late), she was reading my copy of Eclipse :D spreading the addiction, one person at a time.

As far as movies go, we covered The Flight of Dragons, Hellboy, Labyrinth, The Inheritance, Robin Hood - Men in Tights, X-Men: Evolution Season 1, the first episode of season 2 of X-men: Evolution, and the Pilot of Supernatural. She’s extraordinarily sheltered...so Supernatural isn’t to her taste. She thinks while it is entertaining, it’s too scary. As per my rule, you don’t have to watch everything I like. But if there is a series I like, then I require the first episode to be seen. Then you can decide :) We both love The Inheritance....as does most every girl I know who’s seen it...it’s especially great if only because it’s based on a true story.

Of the movies she wanted to see, we didn’t get to see Legend, Quest for Camelot, and The Goonies....but, I’m not going anywhere and whenever I get my trailer, I’m sure she’ll be about to hang out more often. There’s also Dune and Firefly which, she isn’t sure if she’s seen or not...which, those are the types of movies that if you’ve seen them, you know that you’ve seen them.

....and, tomorrow, after I’ve cleaned up the house a bit and put the laundry on to wash, I fully intend to have a Supernatural marathon. I’ve already got the first disk of Season 1 down...

Oh! When we went to Wal-Mart, I finally found a leather thingy that holds a monthly planner and a note pad along with pockets for other papers. I’d been looking for one for ages and the ones they had just weren’t meeting my needs exactly. Well I got this one, and tonight at church, I wrote! I wrote like 3 pages...which, admittedly, is not a lot. But! When you consider that I haven’t written anything since about a month before the move...it’s progress and that’s what matters. What also matters, is that it’s a section that actually goes in my original about where I left off :) I am pleased with myself, and I hope to keep up the good work. I’m also planning on putting copies of my resume in there for when I got job hunting....it’s a little unprofessional to carry them around in the folder I have that has “Waiting to be Discovered” on the outside :3 Unprofessional but loaded with personality :D

I guess that’s all for now...I mean, I’m sure there’s things to talk about but...meh. When I feel ‘meh’ about an entry, that means it’s time to stop typing :3 Soooo, till next time. ‘Night, Sunshines.

Dissappointing and Genki

That’s the sum of my day, people. It started off a little disappointing, and then ended gleeful. I woke up, got dressed, fixed my hair (so that it looked partially decent), and started cooking breakfast. Mom woke up just as I was finishing my eggs. The Floor dude was not at my house, which I found odd since Mom said he was going to start ‘early’ it was already 8 something, and there were now signs of life in the house.

We ate, watched The Soup, Mom hated it because of Chris Crocker and his Britney Spears obsession...man...Although I did enjoy Seth Green’s impersonation of him on the show. Anyway, we got ready, Mom checked in with the Floor Dude to see what it was he’d need (because he said he needed something). We went to Home Depot and finally found it, though not quite the way he wanted it. He needed T molding and stair molding; it was sold together, just not in the same dimensions he’d given us. So we had to compensate. We shopped for groceries and things I might need for the house and then we were home…

...and they were gone. Floor Dude had vacated, and only done a small part of my downstairs living room. Don’t get me wrong, it looks great...but he’d only gotten there maybe at 9:30 and we got back around 12 something. So why’d he leave early? Mom said he’d mentioned that he might not be done till Monday. Seems today is his 1 year anniversary, and he and his wife met in New Orleans and she wanted to go back to celebrate. So we did the only thing we could do. We left the molding in the house and just went back home. We ate and watched a bit of TV...but I wasn’t feeling great, so we took a break to rest…unfortunately, bloody hell week is keeping me up.

Reiko called. She said she had a cold and had gone in to the doctor to get medicine, when they noticed something. Her heart rate was off. So they decided to do an EKG to see if there were any problems. It turns out her left atrium is swollen (at least that’s what she said). They said that since her family has a long history of heart disease (namely her dad’s side), it would be wise to check it out before it becomes serious. So she’s trying to quite smoking (because the doctor told her that stopping might help the swelling to go down. I’ve only been reminding her of the link between heart diseases and cigarettes since I found out that she smokes), and she was proud to tell me that she’d only smoked one cigarette today. I was very proud of her because she does smoke a lot, and I do worry for her.

Mom asked if there was a good movie I had that we hadn’t seen that we could watch. I told her I still had The Holiday, and though neither of us like a lot of sex in a movie, that one was so good, we were able to see past it. I know sex is a part of life and all, but we all know what happens behind closed doors right? Just imply it, don’t paint us a picture. Either way we almost ate a whole jar of Tostitoes chips and dip while we watched...although I must admit, I was responsible for most of it disappearing.

Anyway, after that, we went and sat on the patio. Then, we went in and I convinced Mom to watch the first episode of Heroes...she loved it. I think it’s not so much that she loves it, but she got interested in what would happen next, and the show is great at cutting the individual story lines just when you want to know what will happen. Man, they know how to hook you. We watched the first disc and 3 out of the 4 episodes on the second. I just hope we can finish before the premier.

Oh, speaking of kick-ass entertainment, Amazon.com finally decided to ship out the second season of Supernatural. Not that that really means anything...I’ve seen the carrier wait to pick up a package for a couple of days. Either way, I’ll be a very happy psycho bunny when it does come in.

Also, at some point in time I bought this mug. It’s back-ordered, so I can’t count on it coming in any time soon, but I had to have it. So there ya go.

I really wish Invasion America was on DVD...I know that’s random, but I can feel my sleep meds kicking in and I tend to get that way when they do. I just really would like to watch it again...that was a good show.

Well, meds are kicking in so I really must go. Goodnight, Sunshines.
