First of the Month Madness

Yo. Today was...so unreal. Mom woke me up around 11:30 a.m. We had to go to town to get sturdy black tennis shoes (because they have to be black for work and they have to be sturdy because …of work), and black jeans, also for work. We figured we’d go to the mall first to see what they had to offer. They have Foot Locker there and Lady Foot Locker. I had mentioned that we might be able to do a few laps or something.
Holy God. The PEOPLE! It was unbelievable! It was the most aggravating experience of my life. We walked from JC Penny’s to Sears (which means from one end of the mall to the other), and found nothing. We went to Wal-Mart and got the jeans. Wal-Mart looked like there was another hurricane coming (and I say that in jest of course). Once again, the people! People toting 2 to 3 buggies. And, what’s worse, toting their miserable, whining, ill-disciplined brats around. Another memory on which I will look back to if ever I actually question my desire not to procreate.
We mentioned the flock of people to the cashier, and she said it was like that every first of the month. Not to mention that it was Saturday, after all. I absolutely loath going to town on Saturdays. Mom and I once again resolved never to go to town on Saturdays again. Which, I’m sure, we did last time we were out on a Saturday.
We then went to Sonic and got salads for lunch. When we got back, we watched something Mom had taped on TV. I got on and checked on LJ and my friends’s list and I was shocked to see the whole page filled up. It was astounding. It was like everyone decided to post. Is it the first of the year thing? Hmmm...Ah well. Then I went to my room and watched Threshold, which I’d taped last night. Twice. It was interesting, again. I find myself enjoying the show. I then came out and sat with Mom a little while, only to learn that Invasion was going to be not only rerunning, but the next episode would be playing as well. What luck. I hadn’t seen the entire episode last Wednesday. It’s also interesting. Especially since
rattgirl and I had discussed something about hurricanes being generated by people for reasons. She said something about the government causing hurricanes to generate sympathy for the U.S. while taking everyone’s minds off of the war in Iraq. I don't think the people we have in charge are capable enough to think up such a machine, much less actually make it.
Every time my screen saver kicks on, I stop and watch it. I enjoy watching the pictures now. There are more Black&White 2 pics, which are stunning in my opinion, plus really cool to look at. Then there’s the EQ pics of my characters that I’ve weeded out. I went thought their files and just picked certain pics of them that I liked, instead of putting all of them on here. There’s also the movie mialargs that I’ve collected while I was at the Palace. It’s just nice to see it all happen. But then I feel like a dork for staring at my screen saver with that goofy smirk on my face as I watch a picture of Shenna waving at me materialize on the screen. Ah well.
It’s raining outside. I so love the rain. I think I’ll go lay in my room and listen to it hit the tin. Goodnight.
