I really hate that I haven't gotten around to writing here yet. Especially since Sunday night was so fun. At the church, Takara, Lamarr and Timmy didn't show because they had work to be done at their house. Buddy wasn't there either, so it was just the boys and us. I had been showing Alicia a little pet project I was working on. I had decided to try the iWeb application for making web pages, and since the main focus of my life is the Youth group, I made a page for them. The boys came in as we were looking at it. They all thought it was pretty awesome, and I had to tell them that I really had very little to do with it since the application made it so effortless.

Julian had gotten up to 250 points, and according to our reward system, he could claim an MP3 player. We had intended to get him a small 2gig one from Wal-Mart, but since Dad bought me that new iPod, I asked him if he'd rather have my old 4gig iPod. He was very happy about it and enthusiastically accepted. I wasn't sure how to wipe an iPod on the spot, but Alicia and I doped it out. After giving him a brief tutorial in how to connect the iPod to his computer and upload songs, I handed the Calliope, renamed Julian, over to him :) He was so happy, he just stared at the blank iPod, playing about with it just to inspect how it worked and all. I was so delighted by his reaction that I temporarily forgot my own discomfort with not having an iPod to help me get around in these hills =..=

Mom had cooked a huge gumbo and invited some people from the church over. This included the boys and their Mom, two visiting missionaries, and Pastor Sam and Mrs. Karen. The table isn't geared for that many people, so the boys and I sat in the living room while everyone else enjoyed the table. The boys and I talked a lot, and I found out that they each have their own brand of 'girl problems'. Billy didn't talk much because he was having an 'epic battle' via text messaging -..- Jesse was perfectly content to just sit and talk, but Julian was a bit restless if only because he had been hoping to use Billy's phone to call his girlfriend. Julian would wait patiently for a bit and then beg for the cell, and Billy would yell, "Epic battle!" and keep right on texting. Finally, I just gave Julian my phone and let him call her, because it was obvious Billy was getting nowhere. We came over to place too, and the boys were like kids in a candy store when they saw all my swords and daggers :) To the point that Billy said he wanted to hide in my closet o..O' But they had to leave soon after that because it was getting fairly late and they'd be having school in the morning and all.

Monday was...hard. Mr. TJ, our friendly neighbor, decided to take us on a tour of the mountains so we could get some good pictures of the countryside. That would've been great...if I don't get motion sickness just from the hills I have to go over to get to the main highway =..=' I lasted pretty long, thanks to borrowing one of Dad's nearly broken CD players, but after a while, nothing really helped. I was headachy and totally plagued by motion sickness. We did get some pictures, and the scenery was truly beautiful.... but it really wasn't enough compensation for my misery >..<

Now...I'm washing towels and sprucing up a bit. In between working I've been watching Robotech :) I've already gone through the entire Macross Saga and now I'm starting on the Masters Saga. I just wish I'd stop getting the munchies -..- It's like I'm craving something, but I've no idea what I really want. I hate it when that happens.

Oh well. I guess that's all for now. I'll write later, Sunshines :)

War With the Flies

2009-Jul-08, Wednesday 05:08 pm
msmoon: (RVB - Red Bull)

Alas, I have had a buggy little problem in my house. For the past few weeks, there have been a number of fruit flies and just common house flies in my house. Now... I'm generally a laid-back sort of person. A fly or two doesn't really bother me. As long as they leave me alone, I'm fine. Unfortunately, this became more than a fly or two very quickly AND they constantly buzzed about me. It seemed like over-night, I had 3 dozen flies in my house. And that's just the house flies, not the fruit flies. I cannot begin to count their number. I mentioned it to Dad, and I got some pesticide spray.

Dad said that around the back of their house they had the same problem. Well, the garbage had begun to pile up, and when Dad went to burn what he could, he found a bunch of maggots in the garbage can.... XP OMG, so nasty. So, evidently, the flies were just gathering around their back yard where the garbage cans were, and since my house is (technically) in their backyard, they just decided to come on over. Spraying the pesticide on the walls and outside my house has not helped. So, this past weekend (while I was feeling crapy with my leg hurting and all anyway) I decided to keep the spray handy......I ended up pretty much declaring war on the flies. I put the pesticide squirt nozzle on the direct spray, so that it shoots out a single line of liquid as opposed to a poof cloud spray. Every time I saw one, I ended up cornering it and just sprayed till I'd knocked the sucker into a puddle of pesticide. I'm very happy to report that my house is virtually fly free. There's an odd one here or there in rooms I don't go in that often, but over-all N2 has no flies in it right now :)

The only down-side is that I can only spray pesticide for so long without hacking my lungs out. Too much of it in one room makes my throat and nose itch like crazy >..< So, I try to limit the amount I spray... When the house was over-run with them, I was terribly miserable. Now, it's not so bad since I only see one odd fly now and then. But now, I'm not so relaxed about it. Used to, if I saw a fly, I'd just let it be. But after this entire ordeal, one fly means I'm off to fetch the pesticide -..- The annoying little buggers aren't even smart enough to leave me alone, and an annoying pest is about as bad as one that bites or stings.

Oh, and Mom and Dad are away now. Dad got called out early Monday... well, to be precise, he called his company asking when they wanted him, and they said "a day earlier than usual". He'll be towing the rig this hitch, so he may be out for anywhere between 14 to 37 days @..@ And since he had to leave Monday at noon, and he didn't get any sleep before hand, and since Mom's older sister (Aunt Audrey) has been having serious heart trouble in the way of multiple heart attacks, Mom decided to accompany him and drive back up after Aunt Audrey's surgery. So, I'm left to hold down the fort while they're gone. All I really have to do is burn my own trash, collect their mail, watch out for Aunt Carolyn's mail and cut the grass at some point.... fun.

Oh, yesterday was my day with Alicia. She pretty much comes over every Tuesday now. We were checking to see places we could visit in Branson... of course it was a great excuse just to go to Branson and map the place out for me. Alicia wanted to go to Staples too, and I've actually never been to a Staples. But, I'm getting ahead of myself.

I had an appointment with the chiropractor yesterday at 3, so Alicia came over early, but accompanied me to the chiropractor (with a small assortment of the first volumes of my manga collection). I told the doctor about how I injured my knee Friday, and she checked it and said my ankle and knee were out of alignment because of it. So she adjusted it too and told me to ice it as well as my lower back (20 minutes on the ice pack and 2 hours off). After that, we went straight to Branson.

On the way there, Alicia got really hungry....and I started getting hungry too. We had planned on stopping at Applebee's to get a to-go menu (turns out they didn't even have any at the time -..-), so we just decided to have lunch there. They still had that 2 meals for $20 deal, so we went ahead and did that. Then we went to Staples, and I found some of those
Soney Earbuds that Takara had showed me at the Lock-In. They fit really easily into the ear, and unlike the original earbuds I had, they don't hurt. Oh, and they were only $9.99, soooo I got them :) We also went to K-Mart, but that was because Alicia said that her mom needed some loafers and ... she wanted to buy them for her... I dunno. Whatever.

Uhhh, then we went to the theater to check and see if they had the times that Transformers 2 would be playing for this Saturday... they only replied that the Imax had it... which really didn't help us much. I told Alicia that I knew the Imax's web site said they wouldn't be playing Transformers 2 after the 9th, so I'd call this little cinema on the 10th and ask if they were having it then. Over-all, we'll have to see, otherwise our trip to Branson will be ...underwhelming at best. After that we were a bit bummed so we went to Best Buy, and I found
Tall Tale on DVD. I was so excited, because I loved this movie when I was young, and it didn't seem like it'd ever come out on DVD. And there it was... for $6.99! So... of course, I got it =..=' And Best Buy was right next to Books-A-Million ... so, no surprise where we went next. I ended up buying this enormous book on Mythology called Mythology: Myths, Legends, & Fantasies. It's massive and I probably paid entirely too much for it... and I love it :3 Of course, this thing is so comprehensive, I may never need another book or reference on mythology EVER. In the back, there's an index for referencing individual things, but there's also a section that breaks down each section and says "For Further Reading" and tells you many books that you can get if you want to focus solely on one thing. It's huge o..o

After that, Alicia and I came home... although it took her a while to adjust to manga reading, she did manage to finish the first volume of Furuba in the car on the way home while I rocked out. I've also managed to get her hooked on the Corrs and Nightwish... mwahaha :D But anyway! Then when we got home, and after we unpacked we finished watching Princess Mononoke. Miyazaki-san is so awesome. I think Alicia agrees :) I was actually surprised to learn that the english voice-actor that spoke for Moro... is Gillian Anderson, aka Scully o..o How many cool points can you earn? :D Anyway! After that, she went home and I showered and went to bed.

I really have been loafing about today...but I'm really tired and just content to so. I mean, I know I probably should've cut grass.... but, I can always do it later. Annnd now, I gotta go and get ready... gotta leave for church around 6:45 and my hair is riotous :3 I like getting ready early so that I can relax and not rush before I leave. So! I'm off. I'll type later, Sunshines :)

Cleaning and Cracking

2009-Jun-30, Tuesday 11:37 pm
msmoon: (Jesus Saves)

So! Today was my first chiropractor adjustment... gotta say, it's totally not like all the other times. This chiropractor doesn't believe in crackin' ya bones :) and I'm grateful. Of course, Instead, she slowly realigns things with a small machine that gives a very firm *tap-tap-tap!* sensation. It may sound like something that wouldn't be terrible... but have it going up every vertebra of your spine and... well.

So, according to my x-rays, one of the lower discs in my spine is leaning forward drastically, thus pinching a nerve... which is why I have severe back pain not to mention constant tenseness in my back. Also, my neck is a little more forward than it should be, and my jaw is slanted...so Dr. Lindsey is working on all of these things at once. She also said that I should put a cold pack on my lower back at least once a day to help with the tendernes...and I should sleep with a pillow under my knees. Trouble is... I actually don't have a spare pillow at the moment. Gotta say, after she adjusted me, I felt... strange. Not hurt or anything, just off. Or perhaps what was weird is that I got up feeling distinctly not-off, but when I tried to walk, I kept veering to the side and nearly smacking into walls -..- yeah.. so I was ... uh.. dissorented. Oh yeah, I was so disoriented, I actually forgot my purse there! I was so busy focusing on walking straight, I didn't even remember that I didn't have it! So, we called them up and said we'd swing by tomorrow to get it sometime =..= They were nice about it.

The doctor also gave me a book to read about reversing allergies... which would be awesome. It'd be great to visit with Reiko and not feel suffocated because of Chimera-bear :3 I wubs dat kitteh.

Speaking of Reiko, I haven't heard anything from her or Jim. I'm sure she's busy with recovery and thus keeping everyone else busy but... I expected to get something. I'ma have to call her tomorrow... there's just nothing else for it. I did get a very inappropriate text message one morning from her that had to do with the late Michael Jackson -..- Honestly...

Oh, also, today, I finally got the pictures from the Youth Lock-In up onto FaceBook (I know, I probably annoyed everyone who was following me on Twitter... assuming that that's a great number of people...). Anyway, I made it so "everyone" can see the pictures so, if you want to take a look at them,
GO HERE. Comments are adored :)

Before ... when the day was starting... There was a great storm this morning. I mean, the wind made my house jiggle again. And the thunder! It was that ripping thunder that feels like it's in your back yard, tearing up your atmosphere :) I was still tired, and it was 8ish, and I know that I dozed off... unfortunately, I woke up more tired than I had been =..= Hate it when that happens. But, I made breakfast and then slowly started moving things about in the living room - tidying up and all. Then, I let Harvey (my Roomba vacuum) loose in the living room. While he was running, I would periodically venture into the kitchen to see what needed to be tended there. I put Sophie (my dishwasher) on and emptied her, and made sure the countertops were clean as well. So when Harvey finished with the living room (and had recharged and all), I put him to work in my kitchen. I was very happy to see that both living room and kitchen were clean today before I left for the chiropractor's.

When I got back, Alicia was already here. I made hotdogs real quick, with chili, and we each had two while we started watching the second disc of FuruBa. Dad popped over at one point to get himself and Mom a couple of hot dogs too, but over all we sat, ate and watched :) We didn't stop till we'd seen it all too. She's very tempted to buy it, but considering her financial situation, she really shouldn't. The girl actually gets a paycheck (albeit a small one) and she's worse off with her money than I am. Still... at least she can pay her own bills.

So, I haven't gotten any calls from the doctor's office I applied to. But I sent off a fax yesterday to answer an add in the paper. I also have heard that a local business is hiring... I'm just trying not to get discouraged. Oh well.

Hmmm. The second long post in the same week. I must be having a good enough time if I want to let everyone know all this stuff :3 But the pills are kicking in, and I still haven't showered. And I'm actually tired. Still, the day's been long and strange. I feel like I've earned my rest...even if parts of me still feel... off. I mean, I seriously feel fine, but when I try to do something I'm all wobbly and uncoordinated ... this is probably the closest I'll ever get to feeling drunk ^..^ Oh well. I'll write later, Sunshines :)

msmoon: (Obsessions)

OK, I just have to say it. I've been watching what I can of Boys over Flowers over on animesquish, right? I said that in my last actual post. It's pixilated and the time isn't always right, but it's there for free, so I'm not complaining. Well, I got curious, and searched for the DVD box set on Amazon.com... just to price it, right? Well, there really isn't a box set on Amazon, that I'm seeing. It's just a few individual volumes. So, I went and checked on my newest hope of hopes,
Shop Anime DVD......Z.O.M.G. They have the Hana Yori Dango box set for $38.95... $38.95!! That's like, a whole new level of anime promises here! Suddenly crack looks more expensive O..O' I'm suddenly very anxious to hear from Scamp about her purchase from this dealer. If it turns out that there wares are just as good as buying from Amazon... I'm DEFINITELY going to be buying some things here. And Hana Yori Dango may just be the first series that I buy ^..^

OK, there’s a ton of stuff on this web site that I’m intereted in. Aside from the aformentioned HYD, I’d be very interested in...

....of course, this is just the first glance review. If I broke it down and really started hutning for stuff, who knows what I might find!

oooh, holy crap. I really need a job....@..@ yara yara... so depressing -..-

P.S. Oh yeah, Scamp, my cousin, worked on VBS for her mom-in-law... this simple fact always cracks me up for some really weird reason :3

msmoon: (RVB - Words)

For some God-awful reason, I cannot get some of the songs from the Daria musical out of my head! I keep repeating “The big wet rainstorm’s over!” and “What if the town blew away” o..o

/clears throat. Gosh, but it feels like ages since I actually made a post. I rely on Twitter a lot to convey those little dribbles of everyday life...Today, there will be no tweets though, as I took a bit of a mental health day. I just read and amused myself all day long. If you can call reading manga via the internet 'reading'. It's not the old fashion style of having a physical tome in your hands and curling up in bed to enjoy it (which I much enjoy), but it'll do.

So! ... I was lollygagging about on deviantart the other night, when I happened to stumble across a very talented artist by name of
kara-lija. She has some absolutely beautiful stuff really, and I was just so taken with her style. I came across one of her misc creations, and she said it was from Boys Over Flowers. So, I decided to head over to One Manga (thanks, Reiko!) and see if they had that available to read. Aaaand they did!.... 240 something chapters of it O..o' So... I started reading it. I got though 125 chapters =..= Of course, around 10 tonight, I had the amazingly bright idea to head over to Anime Squish (thanks, Scamp!) and see if they had the anime available to watch....and they do.

I only got to watch a bit of the first episode, but since I've read the manga... I kinda know what's going on and all. Although, I beginning to wonder if Anime Squish has problems with all the first episodes. The first Ep of PGSM wouldn't play either, and the first of BoF isn't right... the sound and the picture are askew. Then again, it's really the only place I know of you can watch subbed anime for free -..- Of course, now that I've spent all day on Mako-kun, reading the manga... My eyes feel strained from staring at the screen (and growling at the computer & internet connection). So... I'm not enthusiastic about letting the video load and then watching it =..= Maybe tomorrow.

In Totally Unrelated news; Mom's home from her Distract Assembly trip. She said that actually had a tornado scare this afternoon. No one was hurt at the assembly, but it was still more excitement than they'd wanted. I told her that a few days ago, I noticed a small reddish, pimple-sized bump on the top of my thigh and above my hip. It didn't bother me over-much. But then, it itched a bit, and I did what I could to ignore it. Then... I woke up and the bumps are the size of dimes. Malformed, melted dimes, but dimes none the less! She simply looked at me, like a cow looks at an on-comming train and said, "Yeah, Hon. Those're chiggers... they call 'em red bugs here in the country." =..= She then informed me that I might need to rub some sort of ointment on it, but otherwise it shouldn't be much of a bother... other than the overwhelming urge to scratch >..>

<..< ... >..> ... I really have little else to say. Other than wondering when I'll have to make the mad-dash to straighten up around here for Bear and Scamp's visit, I've really little to look forward to. I did drop off a resume at a doctor's office that's in desperate need for help. I called them as well, and they said they'd tell their office manager (who was off on vacation, but would be coming back in a few days) that I was very interested in the position. Other than that, there really are no new developments.

Well...I'm about to have my evening bowl of cereal and then it's off to bed for me. I'll write latter, Sunshines :)

Catching Up

2009-Apr-18, Saturday 04:30 pm
msmoon: (MsMoon's Crescent)

/sigh. Gosh I suck. No postage for way too long. It’s almost been a week >..> and I cannot have two quiz spams side by side.

Uhhh, I had to order that charger from Amazon to get Makoto up and working. I mean, I tried just holding the charger in place and hoping it'd charge but, no dice. So, I finally have my charger :D It came in and Makoto is back to 100%. Thank you, Amazon.com :)

So! Let's see....I should probably make a list of things to discuss since it's been almost a week. Alicia and I met Tuesday night at
Uncommon Grounds. I busted my bum to get what little I have of my original story typed up properly and put into a folder so she could take it and read it. So far, her only problem is that there's so little of it =..= I'm hoping that if we keep meeting regularly, that I'll find some motivation to write more :) Lord knows, my original needs all the help it can get.

Hey, Scamp? How much of my original did I actually send to you o..o? I'm wondering if I actually have more now or if I sent it all to you...

You know something else that's been bothering me? I have been swinging for about 3 weeks or so now, and it still hurts to do it most of the time. I thought you were supposed to exercise for a time, and then your body would adjust to that and it wouldn't hurt to exercise >..> I have never enjoyed exercise. It's really hard to make yourself do something when you don't enjoy it. I enjoy swinging, and that is the only reason I've managed to stick with that exercise routine. Mom and I do want to get, like, yoga mats and weights with DVDs, and get some sort of exercise routine going. I mean, I've switched entirely to drinking water now, and I feel great, but I've got to get moving more often....and as much as I hate it, that means cardio -..- God, but I do hate cardio.

You really don't know frustration until you have to move. Or when you have to unpack...that's frustrating too. Especially when you have no power or water in your house...and no money. That sucks. Every day, I've been taking boxes and stuff over to my trailer and just stacking some of those boxes. Mom and I went over there today and started unpacking the kitchen....we agreed that all the pots and pans and dishes were dirty and would need to be cleaned before use =..= We also went to Target yesterday, and I got everything I need for my spare bathroom. I've never had a spare bathroom, so it was like, "What can I do there?" I didn't want to over do anything, but I still wanted it to be nice. Oh, and Mom and I unpacked all my clothes and put it in my enormous closet :) That was fun. We did sorta agree that there's no point in unpacking books or DVDs (the main mass of my things really). I mean, till I get those book shelves, my books have no place to go, and till I get a DVD cabinet, my DVDs have no place to go so....yeah. Kinda don't want them spread out all over the place.

It's weird to move and unpack, because you feel almost like you're getting presents when you remember everything that starts coming out of boxes. And you get all nostalgic because you're like, "Oh! This box is full of my movies!" or "Wow! I'd forgotten I had that!" even. It's just strange...good, but strange. The down-side, of course, is when you pull something out of the box and it's broken ;_; quite a few things have taken damage actually.

I've been working on Mom's Mother's Day gift for a while now. Every time I get the chance to stay home alone, I take it. What I'm doing is, I'm scanning as many old photos as I can find onto my log in on her new computer. I'm hoping that I can get a jump drive and transfer them all over the day before Mother's Day, and that'll be her Mothers Day gift :D I'm sure she'll love it, because she has no idea I'm doing it and she absolutely loves surprises. And plus that's something she's really been wanting to do, you know? Safeguard all her memories and such. So, shhh, don't tell anyone. But I've been working like a mad woman to get as much done as possible. It's not easy when the photos are not dated, and most of them aren't >..> Still, it's good to have them safe :)

Oh, our Trailer dude who sold us the trailer and moved it for us and all, he said that during every move a trailer takes some damage. So, we're supposed to take note of the things that are messed up inside the trailer and he'll fix them for us. So far, this is what I have...

1. The screen door has some damage to it on the outside.
2. The siding around the door is coming off in one spot.
3. The front door will not stay closed unless the deadbolt is locked.
4. The outside light fell off...we still don't know why o..o.
5. The floor in the kitchen is messed up, bowing slightly.
6. The joint in the kitchen has come away from the wall.
7. The recessed lighting in the kitchen is not sitting right.
8. The laminent near the stove and on the floor near the dishwasher is crackling.

Considering the hills and thrills they endured coming here, that's really a small list of things :) Every time I go into my trailer, I'm happy. I like how it looks inside, and it's just bare bones, so I know I'm going to enjoy it a lot whenever I actually can move in and put my stuff everywhere.

I haven't heard anything from my Twin recently...which is weird, since I re-sent her the letter that I'd e-mailed to the wrong place -..-' Dad and I were talking, and he figured since she's close to Atlanta, we might just get a round-trip ticket for me and I fly out :) That'd be really awesome. Oddly enough, Reiko has been so lonely lately, when I told her I'd be near Atlanta, she wanted to know if she could come to the wedding o..o' She was like, "I'll bring a gift! That's all that matters, right? The guests need to bring gifts! Atlanta's only 4 hours from here! And I can see you!" ...yeah...

Oh, speaking of Reiko. Like I said, she's been really lonely lately. Oddly enough, she has very few friends in NC, and since the army wives she does know have very little in common with her, she's actually transformed into the 'quiet one' of the bunch. I know o..o weird. But, I've been thinking how much I'd love to go to an anime con (not this year, but maybe next depending), and
Animazement is right there in Raleigh. If we want to get together again (and if we actually have money to attend), I could meet up with her and we could go there :) That'd be fun! And Mecha Con was such a blast.... cons really are the best way to get together :D I think. I mean, the Gathering with my Twin and then Mecha Con with Reiko. Both of them were a blast, and more so because of the company than because of the con. The Con's just a great excuse to get together and be crazy :)

Of course, I started looking up conventions close to me. The easiest for me would be the
Arkansas Anime Festival...it looks pretty cheap for a con though (even if they're calling it a festival. It's $17 per day for adults who are pre-registered AND it's in Fayetteville... that's an hour and 40 minutes away (not to mention dirt cheap)! I mean, I know that there's also Kawa Kon (in Clayton, MO) and
Naka Kon (in Kansas City, Mo), but Fayetteville is just uber convenient.

....wouldn't it be awesome, if every couple of years my friends and I could just meet up at a con? I mean, we could take turns since we're all in different places, but each year one of us would have the con in our state/nearby, and we'd all just have a great excuse to go :3

...all that anime/friend talk being said...I really miss my Red vs. Blue =..= I wanted to buy
The Blood Gluch Chronicles after I'd given my individual DVDs to Reiko...but then the Rents told me I was moving so...yah.. And now! they have the new season, Red vs. Blue: Reconstruction, out....and it's totally effin' awesome :D I mean, I've seen it all on the web site, but I really do have to have that <..< eventually...it will be mine..

Meh....I've talked/typed enough...goodness, but did I ever type enough. I really can't think of anything more to say and...I'm wanting to relax a bit. I'll post again later, Sunshines :)

ZOMG Hugeness! O..O

2009-Apr-07, Tuesday 03:59 pm
msmoon: (MsMoon's Crescent)

Ok, so the two biggest things that could possibly happen have happened. Admittedly, one of them really didn't happen so much to me, but someone close to me, but it affects me, so it still counts!

Yesterday, Dad had some guys out here checking to see how much it'd be to dig a septic tank for my new trailer. We wanted an estimate of his prices and what all it included. I also went about applying for jobs as much as I could. But, since Mom and Dad had run the roads mostly, I decided to finish the laundry and mind the soup Mom had started. So it was kinda a slow day (made chocolate chip caramel filled cookies and they were awesome too :3). And today, I get up and Dad says the guys for the septic tank are already out there digging. O..o They needed soil samples.

So, Dad decides that now's a great time to go and buy my trailer, which is fine with me. I mean, heck, that's one step closer to actually getting moved and settled and all. So we head over there, double-check I've got the right one in mind and all, and talk with the guy. They're having a sale now where they pay the sales tax, which is awesome, because it's like $3,000 cheaper (which is good because the septic tank/water system will cost about $4,000 D:). Of course, they have to come out and survey the land and make sure it's properly level and all that jazz.

Oh, and I have the title for the trailer :) So, it's kinda mine now. The contract for it has been signed and all, it's just a matter of the time it'll take to get everything prepared for it to be put in here all proper. Anyway!

So the guys follow us back and start talking location and what they'll need to do with the bulldozer he has and all....and....then he says "We can have the trailer out here tomorrow, if you'd like." O..O I mean... we still have to put in the power lines, put in the septic tank, the water pipes, and let's not forget pouring concrete for a foundation...how could they possibly get the trailer in so soon? I mean, I know it wouldn't be hooked up, but would it be safe? I'm soooo confused. I assume that if they put the trailer in here tomorrow, it'll just be...here...on the land....but not livable. I know they won't have the power lines and water pipes all hooked up any time soon, so... It's...it's...../grin. Inconceivable!

/tries to breath properly. Oh! And...there's the other thing.

So, My phone died yesterday. I heard it's pathetic cries for help a little late, as the battery was flashing red by the time I turned it off -..- But, my Twin sent me a message while my phone was charging and it simply said "Call me :D". Of course...I didn't really get it till this afternoon because my phone's been charging since yesterday afternoon. So, I call her, but she's busy at work, so she has to call me back. When she does she announces that she's engaged! Aaaaand she wants me to be her maid of honor!! O..O Zomg! So much is happening all at once! I asked you know, how they were planning to do this, because her last marriage was Justice of the Peace style, and she said she doesn't want that. I assume it won't be a huge ceremony, just us important people there :D But, since it only happened yesterday, she really has nothing absolutely planned. If her beau deploys (he's in the National Guard) in January 2010, then they'll be having the ceremony this year, but if not, it might be next year. She did say that she hopes to have the dresses through some popular chain store so that I can get fitted for my dress locally instead of having to drive ...which, I'll be eternally grateful for. She also isn't sure about the etiquette of such things...I mean, I paid for my bridesmaid dress with Reiko, but that's more because it was assumed that I would, because I knew she'd never be able to afford it. She's wondering if she could manage dresses that are more ...wearable. I mean, I'm never wearing my bridesmaid dress from Reiko's wedding ever...ever...again. So, she's hoping it'll be a style that would be more practical. Gosh, we have to think of so many things now. This is the second maid of honor for me o..o By the time Scamp or Chibi decides to get hitched, I really should be good at this -..- Lord knows, I may never be good at having bachelorette parties (my idea of the perfect bachelorette party includes coffee/chocolate milkshakes and watching Supernatural and old school anime :D)..but, at least I know some things to expect... color schemes, photos, church, rehersals, reception, etc. /sigh. Always a bridesmaid...

Oh, and we got to dial back from the excited giggles of her upcoming nuptials and switch on to subjects that we are well-versed in and as such have better opinions of. Like anime. I told her I'd actually bought the first season of Bleach. She said that while she enjoyed the Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle manga, the anime is so cheesy you can't really enjoy it unless you make fun of it. She did say that Death Note was pretty awesome.... I think there was another one she mentioned... Oh! Duh, Naruto. I remember she said that Death Note was awesome... don't remember what was said about Naruto...We talked about the new season of Slayers too, which is so exciting. I have all the other seasons on DVD and I obsessed/fan-girled over them a lot...so, new stuff to squee over :) Oh well. Anybody else have any anime fandoms they enjoy? The only thing I'm curious to see is the new live-action Sailor Moon...I think it'd be hilarious ^..^

This all really boils right back to....I need a job ;_; srsly. There's houses to be paid for, weddings to attend and ...anime to buy! So yeah, I need to get a job..soon...so that I can take off and do stuffs :D ...Comfortably >..>

Oh well. I'm sorta kinda keyed down now...which is good because the activity happening all so fast and all being so epic was giving me a huge head/stomach ache >..<

That's all for now (as if buying/owning houses and tying souls together isn't enough). I'll write later, Sunshines :)

Mecha Con Whirlwind

2008-Aug-05, Tuesday 11:30 am
msmoon: (SM - Playful Uranus)

Holy crow….I think I might actually be recovered from the con (or well on my way)...I’m still sorta tired, but…I’m always tired.

Saturday, we dragged ourselves out of bed around 9 to go to Vs. A Leo. We ended up walking in just as they started (thanks to Reiko and Reign’s smoke breaks). Talk about hilarious. I don’t know how they end up with come-backs so quickly, but those two guys are hilarious. After an hour of amusing ourselves with that, we headed back out (because Emphysema and Bronchitis needed their fix again). We hung out (invariable going to the dealers room or just walking around) till 1, and I went to see the panel called 15 Years of Sailor Moon…..which…..ended up frustrating me, and I just left that panel early.

There was more hanging out till about 4ish, when we headed down to the bus area. The cosplay competition had gotten so big, they actually reserved Angelle Hall on the University of Louisiana at Lafayette campus. Talk about madness. We got in on the second bus (first seats), and the lobby of the hall was full when we got there, and I’m fairly sure two more buss loads were dropped off. Then they opened the doors O..O I managed to scamper down and get us seats on the edge of the 6th row to the far right side. Finally, it seemed like everyone got seated and situated.

Then they made us wait an hour. But of course, we’re anime fans…and most of us are kids to boot. So we didn’t just sit quietly. First there was singing, clapping, everything we could do to keep ourselves entertained. Then, the guys in the back who control the lights, sound and everything in the auditorium used one of those red laser lights and he was pointing out things on the stage….well, it turns out someone else…brought a laser light. Two to be precise. There was one red one and one green one, and they would chase each other around on the walls and ceiling. Then the guys in back made the spot light chase them around. There was music, and eventually dancing by everyone in the auditorium, but…it stopped when someone stupid got on the stage. Yeah. But then we all sat down and watched the laser lights ^..^ Twas funny.

The cosplay competition was good. I got it all on Zeiss, but for some odd reason, none of the pictures Reiko took came out. But it was pretty awesome, and I did get it on DVD at least. There was a “Dating Game” thingy in between the competition and the awards (so that we don’t all go stir crazy again), and there was a “Het” Round and a “Yaoi” round =..= Oddly enough, the Yaoi round was funnier, but I didn’t record it! So yeah. I wanted to have room on the DVD for the awards and stuff, so I didn’t record that, but you know. Whatever. The memories will still rock.

We went back to the hotel (after waiting for the buss for 35 minutes) and I went to sleep. Reiko, on the other hand, went to the “Mecha Con House Party/Rave”. Then she went and swam with some guys (though the pool was closed so they had to jump the fence. A storm rolled in though. So they came back to their hotel rooms….at 4:30 in the morning =..= Evidently Reiko had met a guy named Gaven that night, and they all agreed to go and eat sushi during the “happy hour” between 10 and 2. They agreed to meet at 11…….But see, they were all exhausted. I woke up and got ready around 10ish, and Reign knocked on my door around 11 telling me that Reiko needed to get up now because they’d all agreed to go out for sushi….She was ready by 11:40 but…there was no sign of Gaven. I found out that Gaven is the “Local Fraternity Rich Kid” and he knows all the local restaurants and what’s good…and plus he was really freakin’ awesome. So yeah, they really liked hanging around with him. He did show up around 12ish, and we went through the dealers room one more time (Gaven wanted a hentai shirt and Reiko got a black Yoshi plushy), and then we headed all the way across town…to find that sushi places are closed on Sundays. I knew this, but I guess I figured that, you know, maybe not all of them adhered to this. So, we ended up going to Chili’s for breakfast (of course, by the time we got there and ordered it was around 1:40). But after much toil and sorrow we got our food and were happy. At this point, we were having such fun hanging out that I decided to blow off whatever panels I might've wanted to go to that day. Who needs the con when you've got cool people, right?

After eating and goofing off a bit, we headed back to the hotel, and instead of prolonging the inevitable, we decided to go ahead and start packing up to leave. I’d gotten a text from Scamp, but my phone was on silent so…yeah. I texted back asking if she could show up in the lobby around 3:45. She said they might be a little late, but they’d be there. We headed down, and the boys were good to help us with the luggage cart. I told them to go ahead and take the luggage out and I’d check out. After check out, I walked out to the parking lot to find Gaven on the luggage cart (surfing it) with Reign pushing the cart, and Reiko trailing behind holding Reign’s leash…..these crazy kids are so much fun. We stopped outside (after turning in the luggage cart) and they took a smoke break ….and stalked Master Roshi. Reiko had gotten some new pants that say “I *heart* Kyo”, and who better to take a naughty picture with than Master Roshi, right? So, Master Roshi finally came back (they’d seen him pass already), and Reiko got her picture with him.

Needless to say the pictures from the trip are great….even if there aren’t enough of them. True, Facebook’s stupid 60-Picture limit would hinder anything more than the 125 we had, but it’d make a great album. I was thinking of buying a couple of matching albums and printing out the pictures so Reiko and I can have the ultimate memento. It’d be awesome…it’s just…to find the right one, ya know?

Sunday after the con is a blur really. I know that Scamp showed up and then we drove home. I uploaded pics to MySpace right away, but couldn’t edit them all….the internet kept crashing >..< Oh well. I’ll get around to it. Anyway, I went to bed late, not because I wasn’t tired, but because I was so tired I couldn’t rest. I tried to read a bit (and since I bought a crap-load of manga, that worked nicely for me ^..^). Monday was terrible. I wasn’t feeling good and I was zonked from the whirlwind weekend. After work (which just dragged by), I went over to my Aunt Carolyn’s house to eat. Mom and Dad had gotten in from Arkansas, and Aunt Carolyn had cooked jambalaya and white beans. I ate and was very happy.

After getting home, I got a call from Reiko. She said she’d been talking to Reign and Gaven and they were telling her about another convention coming up in December called Louisianime. She didn’t have internet though, so she was wondering if I could look for it for her. And since I put that link right there up, I’m gonna assume you all figured out that I found it =..= It turns out it’s May 8-10, 2009 at the Marriot in Baton Rouge….which is better time-wise, because she wants to cosplay as Seras Victoria from Hellsing. I still don’t know if I’ll be going…but it’d be more realistic if it’s next year and all. I’ve already taken off all the days I can this year.

….I think Reiko stole my cereal…But yeah! That was our Mecha Con Experience. I’m pretty certain that if I got next year, I’ll be reserving a suite for Thursday through Monday so that I can get there nice and easy and then leave whenever I want ^..^ I didn’t really do that much damage swag-wise either. I ended up with 4 hacky sacks that have cute anime-ish faces on them, my two Mokona’s (one white and one black), Volumes 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11 of W Juliet and Volumes 3, 5, and 6 of Kara Kano (there was a special...8 manga for $60 ^..^). Yayness. I now have absolutely no money =..= But Friday is payday. I shall be paying bills though so…yeah. I’m keeping it simple for the next couple of weeks. Luckily, I don’t kneed much.

I guess that’s all for now. Later, Sunshines!

Harvest Moon

P.S. Did somebody order a hurricane?...

msmoon: (Bulma - Obey Me)

OMG, so....Reiko doesn't have word on her lap top......weirdest thing EVER. Anyway. So, yeah, still at Mecha Con. We went and did ...what did we do? Well, getting registered and pre-registered....it didn't really mean shit....because, the dealers’ room was really the only thing I was looking forward to right away...and it didn't open till 1:30 (30 minutes after walk-in registration opens -..-). So, we wait in this enormous line for Reiko to get registered. She had been saying to me, " 'Ne-san...one minute I'll be next to you, and the next I'll be gone! And two days later, you'll find me passed out somewhere with a Haru or Kyo look alike!" Which....I was like "yeah...whatever." But, we're standing in line, right? And she just goes rigid....then she turns to me and says, "That guy in the wig and all black over there. Don't look right at him! ...yeah.... that's the one I want." And so...I look over and there's a guy that's six food somethin-somethin', wearing all black with buckle up boots, and a dark maroon wing with a black bandana over it (keeping the wig effectively down), and I have to admit, he's very easy on the eyes. But he's just a guy. But she's hyperventilating. So I'm like, "He's a cosplayer, and you're the one taking pics of cosplayers. Go take a picture of him." But she's way too shy. So...in my mind, the dudes forgotten.

Well, we finally get through with her registration and hit the dealers' room. It's nice and I bought some nice snacks. No real anime or manga yet, but I'm thinking I might just not get that...because I can get it on the interwebz (=^..^= Nya! LoLCatz seapk!!). But I got some great snacks, and some mochi beanies...so to speak. I've been calling them that because I don't know what else to call them! There is a nice big black and white Mokona, and I want to get those....but I'm still not sure, because they're $25 each. I know....it's not a bad price....but it's not great either.

Anywayz! So, we headed off to the room after all of the stuff I bought.....and HE was in the elevator. I was just like /blink blink. but Reiko was all /HYPERventilate!. Then....after dropping off our stuffs and ...I think we ate a sandwich, we went back downstairs...and he was there too! And he wanted to go out and smoke! And Reiko wanted to go smoke! So, yeah....she accused him of following us. Then, at 3 we went to see Master Roshi give a class about Cosplay for the "Mature" Fan which wasn't anything bad! It was for why adults should still cosplay (and I totally agree). The truth is, I just wanted to see Master Roshi. Because he's cool like that.

.......I don't remember what we did. I think we went back through the dealers’ room. I know we walked the halls, and we both bought $1 buttons (mine says ">.> eh?" and Reiko's says "*_* ZOMG!". Dey's cute =^..^=). But then, we went back up to the room to hang out for a while, because the next thing wasn't till 6. And Reiko went out for a while, and when she came back.....................................it was HIM. He was with her! Following her around like a helpless puppy, because someone had taken his picture and promised to put it up on a web site, but the girl had thought Reiko was with him, so she gave Reiko the card! ....and Reiko refused to give it back!!! So, he's been pretty much hanging with us every since. His name is Jeremy and he said his cosplay character is the not-whiny twin of Cloud (so we started calling him Rain - though I call him Reign since it has a double meaning and is cooler ^..^).

After another smoke break, we attended the 6 o'clock class called Online vs. Table-Top Gaming which was a girl who manages a LJ (and many other) online RPGs, and a guy that was a GM for a table-top group. It was very fun, but mostly because our shepherds were very ADD and funny like that. After that class let out, we pretty much varied between walking around on the convention floor, going out for a smoke break, and coming up the room for Reiko to check her MySpace and show off movies and music she has on her lap top.

We were headed down to the convention floor again, because the schedule says that there's a slot for Anime Bloopers (18+ only) which I thought would be hilarious....but it got canceled. Oh, funny thing. On the way down, we're walking down our hallway to the elevators, and one of the doors opens and a Harley Quinn girl steps out. I say, "...Harley?" because, Harley's my favorite Villainess from Batman (and probably all of DC), and she grins and does a little psychotic grin/pose, and Rieko says "Hey...isn't that.." and I look right at the girl and say, "Yeah. Don't worry. I'll masturbate to you later." The girl then jets back into her room and slams the door shut. Of course, Reiko and "Puppy" (which is what Reiko calls him all the time) think this is hilarious. Later on, after we found out the anime bloopers thing was canceled, we got back on the elevator to go back to our rooms. The elevator stops at the 4th floor (convention floor) and who's standing there? Harley Quinn and the poor man's Joker!!! She looks at me, I do a nice little Psychotic Grin and she takes a step back and refuses to let her puddin get on the elevator. As the doors are closing, we hear him yell "But it was going up!!" So we can only assume that she was too afraid to be in a confined space with me to allow herself to get on ^______^ I iz ammuzed.

Oh yeah! I totally forgot to mention! Reiko bought a nice ribbon and leather collar with a bell that ties in back. And then she bought some pretty kitty ears too! So now, she has a make-shift costume. She keeps talking in lolCatz (which is why I can't stop myself from doing it from time to time) and meowing....tis funny. Oh, and "Puppy" (who has officially earned that nick name now), says he's dressed as Cloud's (from Final Fantasy VII) evil twin, and he isn't as whinny as Cloud. So we've started to call him Rain...but only around other con-goers. But when we're just hanging out (mostly when they're smoking out back) we call him Puppy. Tis funny.

So....tomorrow, the first thing we wanna see is Vs. A Leo at 10 (of the a.m. variety). So...yeah...that was today...Fun huh? Ohhhh yeah.....but, God, are my feet soar >..< Srsly. I iz gon' be soarz in zhe mornin (lolCatz speak!).

...I think that's all...really...my brain is tired. So...Goodnight, sunshines.

Day Off

2008-Jul-10, Thursday 10:10 am
msmoon: (BC - You gotta be kidding)

Zomg...So, the 10 hour work week started this week, and I got Wednesday (yesterday) off. I think I planed to do way too much in one day. But in the end, I didn’t get as much as I wanted accomplished. I was going through all the things I know I need done, and in truth, I only got one thing fully accomplished. I had told Scamp, “I need a hair cut, I need to cut the grass, I need to get my car inspected and I need to call AT&T to ask why the hell I don't have internet (in the most polite way possible)”. I did get in touch with AT&T and after an hour and a half, I have internet. I also got most of the grass cut, but not all...so not a total fail, but still not a success either. It’s such a long story…and I really am getting ahead of myself.

OK, so I woke up…don’t know when exactly, but I got out to the mower around 10 in the morning. Yeah, hottest part of the day, yada yada. I wasn’t waking up early on my day off, and it’s effin’ hot all the time around here anyway. So, I got on the mower around 10. I was both surprised, and yet not, to find the spare gas can was empty. So I only had whatever gas was in the mower to work with. I managed to get all of my parents yard mowed, my front yard and part of my side yard mowed…and then the thing shut off on me. I had noticed the drop in temperature and increase in moisture – both of which usually mean rain. So I’d been saying to myself, “I don’t care if it does rain…I’ll mow until I’m out of gas.” So, when the gas ran out, I sat there all of 2 seconds, contemplating going for gas. The second I hopped off and my foot hit the ground, it was like the bottom of the bucket fell out. I got drenched just walking to my house, and I wasn’t even that far away! So, I looked upward and yelled, “Fine! I can take a hint!” and then went inside to shower. I wasn’t surprised to find both my knees and shoulders were sun burnt. I was surprised to find that other than being slightly over-heated, I wasn’t that bothered by it. Mostly because I was so dang sore. Our mower is the type that has two handles on either side, and you have to push the handles to go forward…something is wrong with the right handle, and it’s overly tight, not going as easily forward or backward as usual. My whole right side was so sore from fighting with it…I had to take two alieve to get to sleep along with my regular pills.

But anyway...I ate some lunch after my shower (which felt fantastic. Isn’t it amazing how blissful a shower feels after you’ve sweet for 2+ hours. Yes. 2+. I got on that mower around 10 and when I walked in the house it was 12:30 =..=). I answered a few calls I'd gotten (from Mom and Reiko). Then I turned my computer on and dialed the DSL line for AT&T. Ended up talking with a lovely lady named Gail over in Asia (I know. I asked where she was. “You’re actually calling Asia, Ma’am.” O..O Awesome!). After a few minutes, she realized that I was not registered with AT&T ...even though I’d had the internet for…what? 5 or six months now? Yeah. Not registered. So evidently, they’d set me up with a temporary name and password, and it’d run out. An hour and a half later, I was back online, and I’d earned the biggest migraine I’d had in a while. I don't think it was from the computer and the fight with it alone; probably a combination of frustrations with the mower, the heat outside, the cool climate inside and the frustrations with the computer just combined for one big whopper (and this wasn't Burger King. I did not have it my way =..=). I took pills and dragged myself up to bed. I am so sore today. It’s not even funny. My sunburn isn’t bothering me though. Luckily, Mom had left behind her huge straw hat, and my face is just fine.

Oh, I got a call from Reiko. I had decided to go to Mecha Con this year…which…surprised me really. But, I figured why the hell not? My days in LA are numbered now, so might as well take advantage of the local cons. With Dad’s shifts being all messed up, Mom decided that she won’t be able to come down during the convention. So, I went ahead and invited Reiko, because she needs as much distraction as she can get…plus she loves conventions. And, going alone wouldn’t suck, but it’ll be a lot more fun with her.

Well...I say I 'invited' her...but, really when she called I said, "Take August 1-3 off."
and she was like, "Why?"
and I was like, "Because you're going to be in Lafayette."
and she was like, "...why?"
and I was like, "Because you're going to Mecha Con with me."
and she was like, "...Awesome! An anime convention? Hells yeah!"

So, I’d told her to schedule off for the 1-3 of August. She called this morning, and what I think will happen is that she’ll come to spend the night Thursday night (July 31st), and then we’ll just leave Friday morning. I couldn’t get her registered early, so I’m hoping to arrive around 11:30 for the walk-in registration. Google says it takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes to get to the con, I’m adding in 30 minutes for traffic…we’ll probably leave around 8:45ish. At least, that’s the plan. I just hope it works without a hitch.

….headache hangover is not good. Blah. I think next week, I'll plan to do maybe one or two things, but not a bunch of stuff. It's supposed to be a day off after all. Oh well. Back to work! Later, Sunshines.

Harvest Moon

msmoon: (Supernatural - Sucks outloud)
Well, this weekend was miserable. Yes, I live and breath and…burn. It’s a long convoluted story, and eventually I will get to it. But first...hows about we focus on what good was done.

I updated my movie list, beings as I’ve bought a couple of new things recently (or had things bought for me. Whichever). And then I decided to go ahead and pack up all of my box sets of shows and anime. It took two boxes to do, and I have cataloged these boxes with ID numbers and everything.

Reiko called me Friday afternoon sometime because she really wanted to inform me of this web site called TV Links (yet another great way to waste time). She discovered it and found out you can watch TV shows, Cartoons, Movies, Music Videos and the most important part (at least to Reiko) Anime. So, she introduced me to the first four episodes of Petshop of Horrors which is a very Reiko anime...I don’t like the tragedy that’s in every damn episode, but I did enjoy the depiction of the Kirin/Kilin and Medusa. That was awesome. I’d seen an image of a Kirin before (other than the kick-ass character that’s in CSHayden’s gargoyles fanfiction) and the thing I saw was not in any way appealing. At least PSOH got the image to look decent.

Something really...awkward happened Saturday. It’s a little weird and very painful, and extremely feminine, so I shall put it behind a cut so that no one feels forced to find out what happened.

I sure hope this day goes by quickly. Mom said that we would try to get in the Nexus and dust off the walls and stuff. That way when it comes time to pain, there’s nothing in the way...I don’t know that I ever fully understood that, but whatever. If it speeds the process along, then that’s fine. And that’s gonna have to be it for me today. Mostly because I just can’t think of anything else to write. Later, Sunshines.

Your Love is Based on Friendship

For you, chemistry doesn't really happen without compatibility.
Companionship and openness are the most important parts of your relationships.
Whoever you love should be your best friend.
And falling in love with a good friend is never out of the question.

Why your love can last: You only fall for people who you truly understand... and who truly understand you

Why your love can fail: Sometimes you don't admit how important physical chemistry is to you

PS: Oh yeah, I totally forgot, but my Aunt Batty went to better doctors (ones that don’t think she’s just a dramatic basket case), and they found out it’s her gallbladder that’s giving her the problem. Lori says there’s this nerve called the Vagas nerve (pronounced like Vegas) that runs from the gallbladder to the heart and if that starts acting up it can feel like heart problems. So, Mom and Dad are still on for going to Colorado on the 28th. Which means that when Scamp comes down we’ll have the house to ourselves...and she’ll be able to keep Fred company ^..^

msmoon: (MM's Jellies!)
Wow...it’s always surprising how much more enjoyable work is when you have a holiday smack-dab in the middle of the week. I mean, we just got back, and it feels like a Monday…but tomorrow’s Friday O.O omfg, we get to have more days off after tomorrow! Whohoooo!

/clears throat yeah...something like that. So, work’s been good. I actually just took my lunch and showed everyone the pictures from vacation…what little there are. Then I got chastised for eating so late. Not because it’s bad for my health, mind you…but because their crappy lunch is now failing them. But I smoothed it all out with candy ^.^

It’s weird having an e-mail role play with my Twin now, if only because I’m not obsessively checking my mail at every chance...I know I’m a loose with no life whatsoever, but honestly! This is only making it more obvious. No, it’s really great starting up a role play again. Even if e-mail/story-format is harder than IMRPG. But you take what you can get right? It’s a little weird to be starting blindly too. I mean, everyone knows Caladi (and if Stephen doesn’t then I’m sure my Twin can update him). It’s a little odd to be starting out with new characters that I know nothing about….weird…but fun ^_^

Another thing I started doing (which is a really bad habit, and I know it), is looking around on Amazon.com when alerts come to me...It's bad enough that they send me notifications - because let's face it, I spend so much money there - but that I check the sight religiously...it's a little scarey. But, I can report that the next season of Bones is up for grabs along with a collector's set of Tenchi in Tokyo. I'm not exactly sure how that helps you all, but it's great to get it off my chest ^.^

Oh, interesting thing happened this morning. I check my FaceBook (because that’s how much of a freak I am), and some guy from Bristol had friended me...I was like, “Huh...I’m pretty sure I don’t know anyone from Bristol, but maybe it’s one of Scamp’s friends...” Turns out, Scamp doesn’t know this guy from Adam. <.<…..>.>…..That kinda surprised me (to say the least). I mean, Scamp has Brit friends; I don’t have Brit friends…hell, let’s just come out and say it: I don’t have any friends lol. I have aquantances and internet friends. But very few actual IRL friends. So, to say that some guy out of the blue just decided to friend me was ‘odd’ is an understandment. I really should get a shirt that says “Doesn’t play well with others” on it or something =.=

Ok…I am going to check my e-mail (again), and then get back to work...or something resembling it ^.^ Later, sunshines.

I’m sure it’s no surprise, but I feel like bloody blistering hell =.= I should take this time to read over Scamp’s races….but I’m so tired, that nothing I read is sticking. I hate it when that happens. I think I’ll make a copy for myself and just give her the original back that way, I can read it any time. I just hope I’m not coming down with something, because not only is my cycle on, but I have a sore throat, my head is throbbing, and my stomach feels funny…it’s just weird. And I don’t have that many cough drops >.< Why does everything have to happen at once?

Ok, so I’m gonna try and get away from the complaining now. Scamp is over at my house for the week. Yayness. Don’t know how long she’s staying, but either way, it’s safe to say Billy will get a full week of sleep ^.^ Normally, I’d get all sappy about having a cool boyfriend that stays up all night talking to you…but I don’t know what that’s like, so yeah. No reason for me to get nostalgic. Meanwhile, we’ve been having a lot of fun just talking. We did watch Magic Knight Rayearth, which she hates me for making her endure. I find we actually have more fun when we’re just talking. Like, we enjoy watching things, but we have more fun talking than when we watch stuff together…although, when we are watching stuff, we tend to talk about things that are totally irrelivent ^.^ I think things are more fun that way.

It’s much bigger when you see it up close…

But anyway. So, yeah, Scampers and I’ve been talking about just about everything under the sun. That’s been fun. It’s almost like, “When do we find the time to watch stuff, because we’re too busy talking.” S’funny like that.

I guess that’ll be all for now. Later, sunshines.

Which Elven Race are you?

Elf of the White Hills: Other races of elves think you could be related to dark elves, because of your similar coloring (you're skin is much lighter though, with darker hair and eyes); but you live in the white hills, not underground. Your attitude may be frigid, and all logic, but you're not evil. You give yourself to study, the pursuit of knowledge and the safety that comes with the power of information. You tend to be a little too opinionated and may lean towards bigotry.

Baffeled By Dreams

msmoon: (Mononoke - Strange)
What an interesting couple of days O.o Yesterday at work was not fun in the least. I started getting a migraine around 10ish yesterday morning, while I was sorting the mail. I stuck it out, took some aspirin (such a futile attempt, my brain actually laughed at me =.=) because I knew of all the thing I had to do, I had to get the mail done for the day. Well, it slowly developed from a headache around my eyes to an entire migraine, complete with nausea. Around 2ish I finally couldn’t take it any more. I had gotten the mail all loged, I just hadn’t QA-ed it. I called Mrs. Ellen and asked if I could go ahead and go home….Mrs. Ellen is so funny. I mean, she’s a work-o-holic, right? So, she’s always really focused on the job. She tells me “Go ahead and go home and rest, but if you can, try to make it back this afternoon, or maybe come in early tomorrow.” …….Ok, there’s no way I could return from a migraine, and I work 8-5…I can’t come in any earlier. /shrugs Funny no?

Anyway. After clocking off, the first thing I saw was the midday sun beating off the concrete. Not good. I don’t know how I got home, but my headache had traveled down into my neck and the joins of my jaw by the time I did get home. I called Mom and Dad (who’re in Lafayette for Dad’s “schooling”) to let them know that I was home with a migraine. Mom told me where I could find my Zanax pills so that I could take care of the problem. I took a nice long shower (complete with Aromatherapy from Bath&Bodyworks; OMG, sinful joy) and then conked out. I slept for a couple of hours….I don’t remember looking at the clock when I got in or when I hit the hay, but I woke up around 7ish. So evidently I needed the rest. I was pretty drugged, but also kinda hungry. So, I got up and took the egg rolls and those crab things that we got from Sam’s out and put them in the oven. They were good…the crab things. I was surprised because it was better than the ones I get in the resturants. I played some WoW….made a new character on Ice Crown, Valisilwen (Yalisilwin’s double) the Night Elf hunter. Then I realized all at once that Supernatural should be on, so I turned on the TV, and …the Brink Awards? Ok, I’m not condemning awarding worthy people, but …don’t unexpectedly interrupt my show >.> I was mildly furious. So…I watched Bloody Mary and Hookman from the first season -.-

That pretty much concludes my night. I slept all night through and woke up feeling as close to good as I ever get. I wasn’t exhausted, so that’s as much as I can ask for. I’ve been having some weird dreams lately though…

WoW. I told Scamp about my weird Warcraft dream (beings as she’s told me about hers…which make mine look normal [no offense, Scampers, but that dream gives elf hunters a whole different meaning…on both levels ^.^]). I just got Yalisilwen up to level 15 recently, and she got that spell that lets the Hunter take over the pet…and she has a new pet, btw, for those of you who care to keep up with my insane RPG babbling (but your reading, so I guess you do ^.^). She stabeled Puff and aquired a Ghostclaw Lynx (or whatever they’re called) and named him Kyo (because he’s orangeish with a bad attitude but soft and cuddling all at the same time!). Anyway! She got the spell where she can take over Kyo and make him run around and look at things for her and it’s like she’s seeing it herself. So, I had this dream where I cast that spell and was running to find Scamp and her Brit Boy Billy (that’s just so fun to say). So, I’m Kyo and I run around for a minute and I see them far off and think, “Ok, now I know where they are, I can end the spell.” But I can’t end the spell! I get stuck inside Kyo and I can’t find my original body either! So I run up to Scamp and Billy and I’m in tears (Kitty tears work every time), and I explain that I’m stuck as Kyo. And of course, Billy pulls a Shigure and just points and laughs at me very loudly. Scamp figures out that someone’s captured Yalisilwen and put my body in a state of suspended animation (though I’ve no idea how she could’ve figured that out). So, Billy finally gets his laughter under control and we decide to go and look for whoever it is that stole my body….and just as Scamp asks me to see if I can catch my own scent….my alarm clock went off =.= That was a most interesting dream! I would’ve enjoyed seeing how that ended…oh well.

Seconds, Anyone? My second dream was me on the Today show being interviewed by Matt Lower….which is weird enough in itself. He was asking me what I thought of the papparazi and if I had any bad experiences with them (so I’m assuming that I was a famous author/movie maker or whatever). I told Matt that I had my own huge estate in New Zealand that the stalker-razzi couldn’t get onto, but it always bothered me that they complained about how famous people treated them (they being the paparazzi). I said, if they wouldn’t stalk and harass stars then, they wouldn’t get hurt or spit on or run over or whatever. I went on to say “You don’t see normal people stalking stars, I know I’ve never—Oh wait…there was that incident with Joel McHale, but he dropped the charges.” And Matt realized I was joking and laughed asking me “Joel McHale from the Soup?!” and I was like “My, the disdane in your voice. Honestly, Matt. Joel McHale is my McDreamy! For those of you who don’t know, tune in to the Soup, Friday nights at 10, 9 central for all my central hommies, and you can catch Joel, Lou, Tom, Man-kini man and all the others!” and then we both cracked up laughing……..weird no?

Oh yeah! I got Magic Knight Rayearth in! I tell you what, that’s one of the hardest anime to endure in dub, but I do love it in its original form. I don’t know why…I mean, it isn’t the greatest of animes out there, but I still love it. I guess it was one of the firsts I ever saw after being exposed to the wide world of Anime. I’d go over to Chibi’s house each time we got a new tape in (yes, that was when we were back on tapes -.-) and we’d watch it together. I suppose it just brings back those memories…hanging out at Chibi’s, watching anime and playing EverQuest...No jobs or bills, just saving up allowance to buy more anime. Man, those were the days….or something. Now, I can’t wait to buy the second season...

I think that’s everything. Mom and Dad are set to come home this evening some time. I’m trying not to think about Dad at that school…I mean, I know it’s necessary and all, but I don’t really like the idea of visualzing Dad blindfolded, in a helicopter, that’s flipped upsidedown and then dunked underwater. Ech. Oh well. My break’s almost over. I’ll go ahead and catch ya’ll later sunshines!

Dear Cupid,

This year, I've had my ups and downs in the love department.

I held Popfiend’s hand but only to exchange long protein strings.
I tried to seduce Tinhuviel with the whole ‘secret admirer’ bit but then lost interest.
I walked in on Purrsia and Cheezey making out and decided to join in.

So, as you can see, it's been a hectic year. Can you please make Gamer_gal fall in love with me this Valentine's day?

Well, today was fun to start off, a tad on the miserable side towards the middle, and it ended fairly well all thing’s considering. My cousins (Scamp and her older brother Josh) came over this morning (oh yeah, they brought their parents with them too), and I showed Josh Warcarft *cough*warcrack*cough*. I really should see a doctor about that cough too... ^_^ Anyway. Yeah, after showing Josh a few videos on YouTube, I let him get on and play. He made an Orc Warrior, which I must confess is a tyle of character that I never play. Evenditly he’s suited to the big, brutish tank style. Which is really great, because we DoT dealers, Mages etc. really need someone like that around to absorb a foes blows….dude that almost sounded like poetic in some weird, geeky way =) Anyway!

I finally got the Brit boy’s package(s) to Scamp for her to add to her…uh…things she’s sending them O.o And I also got to give her the Red vs. Blue tapes that I made for her….which will go to Josh whenever she moves in with me ^.^ I’m not certain how, but they also managed to make off with a good deal of my anime collection….not that I mind really. I know how funny Scamp can be about the care and condition of such things (books, anime, oh hell, anything!). Besides, no one here is watching it. That reminds me, I really need to finish watching Rune Soldier. I bought the box set and I haven’t even watched it all! I guess that’ll come after I finish Lori’s X-Files. I swear, it’s going on two weeks that I have this, and I’ve yet to get through the sixth disc! I don’t know what’s been wrong with me lately, but I guess my attention has been a bit divided.Or just not there at all O.o But, yeah…anyway. I loaned them /thinks Slayers (the first season along with Next and Try), and Fruits Basket.

Mom had made a nice, big taco soup since they’d taken the trouble to come all the way over here hauling Aunt Lane/Conni’s chair. The adults talked (and ranted) while we camped out in my room and talked (and ranted ^.^). The taco soup was really good...I think the difference is in the Fritos...I’ve eaten it before without the Frito chips and it wasn’t one of my faves. But it is very easy to make, and it is warm and tastey. After some gaming, a bit of talking, and then wishing them well as they went on their way…I came down with a serious headache. It felt like a sinus head ache, so I can only assume it’s just my allergies. Yes, Spring has definatley sprung. I can feel it in my nose =_=

Other than watching a bit of X Files and laying around, I did nothing but feel the effects of the sinus/allergy medicine. Then mom poked her head in and asked if there were any other epsidoes of Bones that we could watch…and considering we’d only gotten the first disc watched, I said there was quite a few. So we got through the second disc today ^.^ And the evening ended really well.

I must say though...I’m afraid that I’m becoming a little obsessed with spending money on Amazon…or anywhere else really. Sure, I don’t do it when I don’t actually have money...but think about it. Friday, once I’d gotten paid and found out how much I made, I went to Amazon and bought The X-Men Trilogy (because even though I dispised the last one I still love the X-men), Robotech - The Shadow Chronicles, Howl's Moving Castle, Can't Take Me Home by P!nk, Don't Fear the Reaper: The Best of Blue Öyster Cult, and Numb/Encore by Linkin Park & Jay-Z (because Amazon stopped selling it or something)…it was like…I really just couldn’t help myself. I had done the math and figured what I’d have left over after tithes, savings and bills and then said “Yeah, I’ve got plenty left over.” So I spent some. /nod nod nod. I really should focus on not doing that for a very long time…

Other than that purchase…and my lingering headach…everything’s pretty ok. Oh yeah. There is that one thing…Mom and I were trying to move that chair that Scamp and Co. brought…and Mom tried to move it too soon and the wrong way and…well…right onto my right big toe. Yeah, the nail kind of cracked down the center to about half way down the length of the nail...and the edge around the nail has turned a different color. Trying to file that nail evenly was terrible. But! Other than that and my headache, I’m doing ok. And now, I’m really tired…so I’m gonna go ahead and close out now that I’ve written here and to Scamp. See you later, sunshines!

Holy Bovines, Batman. I don’t know that I’ve ever been this tired, or if I was, I certainly can’t remember it (then again, I’m having a hard time remembering my own name). I knew it was bad when I asked Lori this morning,
“Is Mrs. Ellen in an e-mail?”
and she said, “If you mean Meeting, then no she isn’t.”
          “...What’d I say?”
“You asked if Mrs. Ellen was in an E-mail?”
          “Oh God...”
Lacey said she heard me say that too, though it didn’t quite register what I was asking. Lori was afraid she’d learned to speak Tracie, considering she understood what I meant =_=

Needless to say, last night was a late night. Though I don’t remember having that many early nights when Scamp is over. Scamp arrived at our house safe and sound (or as sound as Scamp gets ^.^) yesterday morning. We ate with my parents, and then they had to leave so that they could hurry up and get to Houston. Then, we talked a bit, and we played some EverQuest: Champions of Norrath on the PS2. I made a Barbarian character and she has a High Elf Character. It was much funness (I love bashing things). We played for a while and then got to a saving point and stopped...then we talked some more, and I forced her to watch the first disc of FuruBa. She liked it, though I knew few people who actually dislike it. The only problem I have with it is that there isn’t more.

Oh! And I finally got someone to share my enthusiasm for Scourge of Worlds. I don’t know how many people know about it, but I got it on loan from Reiko. I think it’s cool, considering that I’d never heard of it. It’s an interactive DVD movie based in the Dungeons&Dragons world. Scamp seemed to enjoy it too. And since she knows a lot of hard-core gamer geeks, she could probably ask around and see who’s seen it and all and maybe introduce more people to it. /shrugs

After all the movies and stuff we ended up talking a lot about our stories and just stuff...like Fred the cockroach (long story, and one I do hope to see in a Scamp Comic). I only realized how late it was around 11ish, and I hadn’t even taken my shower. So I hurried up and took my shower and ate some cereal so there would be something in my stomach when I took my sleeping pills. We talked a little more, and I think I finally got to bed around 12 something ish...

My sleep was not good either. I kept waking up and looking at my clocking and thinking, “Oh, God, I really need to sleep!” and I was totally unaware that I actually had been sleeping. It was weird because I remember waking up like that several times and thinking I’d been up the entire time just trying to get to sleep. It was like my sleep wasn’t restful at all and my mind didn’t even acknowledge it O.o’’’ Weird no? I don’t know that I’ve ever been that tired. Waking up at 5:45 was not easy...especially with loosing an hour and all....I hope Scamp slept well.

Well, today, I’ll try and get to bed a little early. It’s just harder to shut down when there’s someone around I actually want to talk to. I wanted to break in the camcorder I bought too. It’s so purdy ^___^ (purdy is cowboy, not gumbonese ^_^). But, I want to take my shower early...that way I wont have to worry about doing it late at night and going to bed with a wet head...We’ll have to see.

Oh well. I gotta get back to work...we have a huge pile of mail that came in that should keep me busy for all of today and probably some of tomorrow. At least I won’t have to worry about falling asleep due to having nothing to do. I’ll see ya’ll when I see ya’ll. Later, sunshines!
