I’m still not feeling well really, but I’m much better off now than I was 3 days ago. Perhaps it’s the magical property of sushi :D So, I woke up this morning to the deep vibrations of my cell phone. Mom was calling from the road; they hadn’t found anything for a good birthday present in town and decided to go to Branson. And of course, she wanted me to come along with her. So, I rolled myself up and outta bed and got ready. They had to refill some medicine and it’d take about an hour so, I was good for that long. I ate a bit of breakfast and got dressed and all that.

We needed to go to Bath&Bodyworks, which is on Branson Landing. Branson Landing is just off the highway, an outdoor strip of shops where with a center lane only big enough for the trolly (which is free to ride) patrols up and down. Bath&Body (along with several other stores) are in this little strip. We hit the bath and body first. We got our gift (plus... a little something extra), and then we were on our way up and down the strip just to see what there was to see. Tons of restaurants were there, not to mention the normal chain stores like Pac Sun and such.

Then I spent some money -..- There was this lovely store, one I’ve seen here and there and loved to walk through but never bought anything from. It’s called EarthBound Trading Company. They have a lot of cultural items (old Egyptian, Indian, and Japanese) and there are rocks. Any place where I can look at and possibly buy rocks is a great place. Well, they had these huge rock book ends, and they were marked down. I got a pair of blue ones and they cost $19.15...they had previously been $49.99 O..O so yeah, I made out like a thief there.

Mom and Aunt Carolyn got something from the Bath Junkie store. I probably would’ve liked it, but Mom spent enough on me at Bath&Bodyworks so I didn’t bother to ask for anything. Then....we went to Sushi House.

Sushi House is the place I told ya’ll I went to back when Mom and I had our little browse-about Branson day a while back (probably in early December). I had swiped one of their to-go menus, but I hadn’t eaten there. Well, there were chef specials too, so we took a look at those. We had the crunch rolls and the yum yum rolls....and they were both very yum-yummy ^..^ The Crunch roll was much like Zen’s Crunchy roll, only the sauce that they put on it (if it is eel sauce) is not as bad as Zen’s eel sauce. Zen’s sauce was tangy and a bit too salty, but this one was almost sweet, and it just absorbed into the crunches lightly flavouring them and the accenting the crab meat and avocado inside. The Yum Yum roll was fried shrimp, avocado and a tiny bit of cream cheese, toped with stringy crab meat.....it was delicious, and a strange opposite to the crunch roll. Some time, perhaps after I start working and can afford to just go off to Branson some time on my own, I’d like to go there and just get a sushi sampler for myself so I can try all their sushi (as opposed to eating 2 rolls every time I go).

According to my research, there are 4 sushi places in Branson, but two are on that strip that we were on. The two we’ve seen are The Sushi House and then there’s the Wasabi - Japanese Steak and Sushi Bar (the two we haven’t seen yet are Japanese Steak Sushi & Cocktail Lounge and Shogun). I did pop into Wasabi for a menu to go, but in my opinion Sushi House will be better, because Wasabi has a menu full of things you can get like soups and noodles and chicken and steak and all that, and it comes with a paper devoted to their sushi. Sushi house is nothing but sushi, and sushi done well. So, in the end, the place that specialises in sushi will be better at it...I think. It was a slightly biased opinion, as I’d just been wowed over the Sushi House’s sushi. Mom says we’ll have to go to Wasabi next time (because for her Sushi just isn’t enough), so I’ll just have to wait and see. Maybe Dad will be able to go with us next time.

Yes, Dad is safely offshore so, he did not partake of this outting....I don’t know that he would’ve much enjoyed it if he had gone along. But I do know that he would’ve enjoyed being there rather than being at work.
Well, we’re off to church. I’ll talk later, Sunshines.

You know this day has been a bit odd…I mean, I woke up before Mom (not that it was early, but I was the first one up), and I had a craving for eggs. I haven’t made eggs since I was little (and even then, I tended to make them only to please Dad). But I actually wanted a big, well-rounded breakfast. So I made eggs, over easy and some toast. I would’ve cooked some bacon and ham too...but I wasn’t sure where Mom kept it. Mom woke up a few minutes after I’d eaten, and I was proud of myself because not only had I made my own stuff but it actually tasted good.

After a minute to finish eating my mini-wheat cereal, we got ready and went to town. I spent over $60 at Bath and Bodyworks, but I think I’m completely set for the next three or four months for aroma therapy, body wash and hand soaps. I also bought Mom some body butter that she really liked and some hand soaps as well. Then we went to Wal-Mart, but they didn’t have the chairs and futon that I really wanted. They had one, but it wasn’t the type that I wanted. So I decided not to get it. Instead I spent over $60 (again) on two twin sheet sets (for the spare bed/futon) and some oil. Now my room smells like I’m cooking an apple cobbler, which is very odd since there’s no way that I could do that ^..^

When we got home and unloaded, I quickly went to Wal-Mart.com and looked to see if the chairs and futon I’d found were still in stock and available for shipping. They were, and I went ahead about bought them. The chairs will ship the local store, but the futon is coming straight to us (I don’t know why, but they couldn’t ship both there).

So, in one week, I have ordered my Gusdorf 17623GUS TV STAND 36 Inch COGNAC, my Butterfly Chairs + Ottoman and my Convertible Futon/Twin Bed. S’been a busy week. Thank God I had that extra in my pay check otherwise I’d be really in a bind. As it stands I have almost $300 in my checkings, and I like to keep $200 bare minimum. So I’m good. I want to try and not buy anything else unless it’s absolutely necessary until my next check. (I also got Bottle Holder, Napkin Holder, Salt and Pepper Shakers with Holder, and Incense Burner as a set for my kitchen, but those weren’t that expensive).

I am a happy (psycho) bunny ^____^

There are only a few other things that I feel I really want to order for my living room. And next check I’ll be getting the End Tables, Tabletop Fountain, and the Coaster Set. Then, maybe with my next check, I can get the last pieces. The Coffee Table, Indoor Lights to go on the beams and the decorative Jade Lotus. When it all comes together, it’ll be awesomeness on a stick.

Oh! I almost forgot! I also placed a small order to pyramid collection. I got the Mermaid door topper, and this Calendar. And that'll be my order from Pyramid for a while. =..=

It’s funny, but it feels good to spend all that money in such a productive manner and have plenty left over. Now, all I need to do is buy my Mom’s other birthday present and bring it to work to wrap, and I’ll be set. The only other gifts I need to buy are for my ‘Mouto-chan’s extra Christmas presents...Oh, and I need to get Thomas’s Christmas/Birthday presents too. Darn. And here I thought I was close to done with gifts and all. Geeze. But, none of that needs to be done before September. Mom’s birthday is Sept. 2, so that’s the priority.

Now that you’ve been updated on all my money matters/shopping schedules, I feel good ^..^ I think I’m gonna go and get some lunch. Shopping like this can wear a girl out ^..~ Later, Sunshines.

Harvest Moon

Baffeled By Dreams

What an interesting couple of days O.o Yesterday at work was not fun in the least. I started getting a migraine around 10ish yesterday morning, while I was sorting the mail. I stuck it out, took some aspirin (such a futile attempt, my brain actually laughed at me =.=) because I knew of all the thing I had to do, I had to get the mail done for the day. Well, it slowly developed from a headache around my eyes to an entire migraine, complete with nausea. Around 2ish I finally couldn’t take it any more. I had gotten the mail all loged, I just hadn’t QA-ed it. I called Mrs. Ellen and asked if I could go ahead and go home….Mrs. Ellen is so funny. I mean, she’s a work-o-holic, right? So, she’s always really focused on the job. She tells me “Go ahead and go home and rest, but if you can, try to make it back this afternoon, or maybe come in early tomorrow.” …….Ok, there’s no way I could return from a migraine, and I work 8-5…I can’t come in any earlier. /shrugs Funny no?

Anyway. After clocking off, the first thing I saw was the midday sun beating off the concrete. Not good. I don’t know how I got home, but my headache had traveled down into my neck and the joins of my jaw by the time I did get home. I called Mom and Dad (who’re in Lafayette for Dad’s “schooling”) to let them know that I was home with a migraine. Mom told me where I could find my Zanax pills so that I could take care of the problem. I took a nice long shower (complete with Aromatherapy from Bath&Bodyworks; OMG, sinful joy) and then conked out. I slept for a couple of hours….I don’t remember looking at the clock when I got in or when I hit the hay, but I woke up around 7ish. So evidently I needed the rest. I was pretty drugged, but also kinda hungry. So, I got up and took the egg rolls and those crab things that we got from Sam’s out and put them in the oven. They were good…the crab things. I was surprised because it was better than the ones I get in the resturants. I played some WoW….made a new character on Ice Crown, Valisilwen (Yalisilwin’s double) the Night Elf hunter. Then I realized all at once that Supernatural should be on, so I turned on the TV, and …the Brink Awards? Ok, I’m not condemning awarding worthy people, but …don’t unexpectedly interrupt my show >.> I was mildly furious. So…I watched Bloody Mary and Hookman from the first season -.-

That pretty much concludes my night. I slept all night through and woke up feeling as close to good as I ever get. I wasn’t exhausted, so that’s as much as I can ask for. I’ve been having some weird dreams lately though…

WoW. I told Scamp about my weird Warcraft dream (beings as she’s told me about hers…which make mine look normal [no offense, Scampers, but that dream gives elf hunters a whole different meaning…on both levels ^.^]). I just got Yalisilwen up to level 15 recently, and she got that spell that lets the Hunter take over the pet…and she has a new pet, btw, for those of you who care to keep up with my insane RPG babbling (but your reading, so I guess you do ^.^). She stabeled Puff and aquired a Ghostclaw Lynx (or whatever they’re called) and named him Kyo (because he’s orangeish with a bad attitude but soft and cuddling all at the same time!). Anyway! She got the spell where she can take over Kyo and make him run around and look at things for her and it’s like she’s seeing it herself. So, I had this dream where I cast that spell and was running to find Scamp and her Brit Boy Billy (that’s just so fun to say). So, I’m Kyo and I run around for a minute and I see them far off and think, “Ok, now I know where they are, I can end the spell.” But I can’t end the spell! I get stuck inside Kyo and I can’t find my original body either! So I run up to Scamp and Billy and I’m in tears (Kitty tears work every time), and I explain that I’m stuck as Kyo. And of course, Billy pulls a Shigure and just points and laughs at me very loudly. Scamp figures out that someone’s captured Yalisilwen and put my body in a state of suspended animation (though I’ve no idea how she could’ve figured that out). So, Billy finally gets his laughter under control and we decide to go and look for whoever it is that stole my body….and just as Scamp asks me to see if I can catch my own scent….my alarm clock went off =.= That was a most interesting dream! I would’ve enjoyed seeing how that ended…oh well.

Seconds, Anyone? My second dream was me on the Today show being interviewed by Matt Lower….which is weird enough in itself. He was asking me what I thought of the papparazi and if I had any bad experiences with them (so I’m assuming that I was a famous author/movie maker or whatever). I told Matt that I had my own huge estate in New Zealand that the stalker-razzi couldn’t get onto, but it always bothered me that they complained about how famous people treated them (they being the paparazzi). I said, if they wouldn’t stalk and harass stars then, they wouldn’t get hurt or spit on or run over or whatever. I went on to say “You don’t see normal people stalking stars, I know I’ve never—Oh wait…there was that incident with Joel McHale, but he dropped the charges.” And Matt realized I was joking and laughed asking me “Joel McHale from the Soup?!” and I was like “My, the disdane in your voice. Honestly, Matt. Joel McHale is my McDreamy! For those of you who don’t know, tune in to the Soup, Friday nights at 10, 9 central for all my central hommies, and you can catch Joel, Lou, Tom, Man-kini man and all the others!” and then we both cracked up laughing……..weird no?

Oh yeah! I got Magic Knight Rayearth in! I tell you what, that’s one of the hardest anime to endure in dub, but I do love it in its original form. I don’t know why…I mean, it isn’t the greatest of animes out there, but I still love it. I guess it was one of the firsts I ever saw after being exposed to the wide world of Anime. I’d go over to Chibi’s house each time we got a new tape in (yes, that was when we were back on tapes -.-) and we’d watch it together. I suppose it just brings back those memories…hanging out at Chibi’s, watching anime and playing EverQuest...No jobs or bills, just saving up allowance to buy more anime. Man, those were the days….or something. Now, I can’t wait to buy the second season...

I think that’s everything. Mom and Dad are set to come home this evening some time. I’m trying not to think about Dad at that school…I mean, I know it’s necessary and all, but I don’t really like the idea of visualzing Dad blindfolded, in a helicopter, that’s flipped upsidedown and then dunked underwater. Ech. Oh well. My break’s almost over. I’ll go ahead and catch ya’ll later sunshines!

Dear Cupid,

This year, I've had my ups and downs in the love department.

I held Popfiend’s hand but only to exchange long protein strings.
I tried to seduce Tinhuviel with the whole ‘secret admirer’ bit but then lost interest.
I walked in on Purrsia and Cheezey making out and decided to join in.

So, as you can see, it's been a hectic year. Can you please make Gamer_gal fall in love with me this Valentine's day?

….I’m really tired. I’ve had a busy day. First, Mom and I went to IHOP to have breakfast. We had the Cinn-a-stackers French toast, and for once I think we found something that was almost (almost mind you) too sweet for even me. But it was so good. Seriously, it’s one of those things where you’re like “Oh, I’m not sure I can handle it but ohhhh it’s soooo good!”After breakfast, we headed to Wally World to get groceries. I ended up buying a second DVD holder…and Jumanji. It was $5.50 /shrugs. Mom and I then came home and watched Man of the Year with Robin Williams. It was pretty good. We started it thinking it was a total comedy, but it turned out to be a serious funny thing.

After talking a bit with Scamp, I played some WoW with my Twin. Yaviel got up to level 11, and I’m proud of her. I really want her to get up to 13 if only so she can wear some of the jewelry that she made. I mean, honestly...she made the ring or necklace, let her wear it =.= Got a better pet too, instead of that loud-mouthed imp. It’s a good thing we got off when we did though, because I was about ready to plop over from hunger.

Around 7ish, Mom and I went to the mall. I was getting low on the pick cherry blossom body wash that I love, and I had just gotten paid, so I wanted to get something more. Their body washes were on sale for $5 a piece so, I really lucked out. That reminds me, I need to head to their web site and register to receive newsletters with coupons and notifications of specials. I’m such a B&B whore …but in a good way. I got two bottles of white cherry blossom body wash, some sheer freesia body wash, and some jasmine & vanilla aroma therapy. Then, Mom ended up buying a couple of things for my cousin’s birthday and got me some magnolia hand lotion. All in all, not a bad haul.

Then we went to Regis hair salon and I got my hair cut and styled. It looks very very…different…which is what I wanted. I’m not certain that I like it though…but I wanted different, so I’m not complaining, and everyone who’s seen it (that’s right, both the stylus and Mom) said that it looks really good. We’ll see. Oh, I also got my eyebrows done, which is something I’ve never had done. They the beautician said I had really nice eyebrows for someone who’d never had them done, they just needed some grooming. So I look a little different now, and it’s taking a bit of time to adjust to that I guess. Pictures will be forthcoming once I have the energy to take them.

I finally finished watching the 3rd season of the X-Files. Yay. I gotta talk Lori into giving me season 4 and 5...I didn’t get to see the first episode of the forth season because Lori said I wouldn’t get it -.-

Pills have kicked in. Talking like cartoon characters. Must sleep now. Later, sunshines.

Wow...what a day. I have felt so bad every morning over the holidays. It started probably around Thursday morning. I’ve been waking up with a killer sore throat, but normally, I can just drink some hot coffee in the morning, bring a few cough drops with me during the day, and drink hot tea at night and be fine. But it worsened severely over the weekend =,= I think I may have a bit of a head cold, because it feels like the pressure in my head is constantly changing. Sometimes I feel like my ears need to pop or that there’s a vice around my head. It’s not painful, mind you, just awfully tight. Not to mention my sore throat has become more permanent, and I sound like a prepubescent, emo boy. I’m definitely going to be calling our ear, nose & throat doctor tomorrow to see if I can get some sort of shot and stuff to help. But enough about that. Let’s talk about the days that’ve passed so far. Let’s see...when last I left you, I was about to go to lunch with the girls and then from there I’d head over to Chibi’s. All right. Let’s start there...

ISR WorkSaver Systems Christmas Lunch. Ok, so the lunch went very well. This little restaurant is just so charming and so superb. Not to mention that the company was just delightful. Donna and I conspired together to share an appetizer; the crab ravioli in a creamy buttery sauce...exquisite. Hell, I’d go back just to order a few more of those! Of course, Donna reminded me not to over-eat because they had some great deserts here. We immediately planed on sharing a desert. For my meal I had originally wanted to order a four-cheese fettuccini that could come with your choice of chicken or shrimp and with your choice of pasta. But, I think that I always get fettuccini when I go places, so I decided to try thinking outside the box and got a chicken dish that was fried and smothered in cheese. Not a bad dish, mind you, but I’ve also decided never to ask for something else when I know I’m gonna enjoy my original selection -_- We talked so much and just enjoyed Mrs. Ellen & Dr. Bunch’s company. We gave them their gifts (Mrs. Ellen got a very lovely candle and Dr. Bunch got a current Saint’s hat and shirt which he loved). I’m not sure what all the other girls got, but I got a $100 bonus as well from them. They really did not have to do that what with the lovely lunch and all, but it was an unexpected treat. Mrs. Ellen also gave us some great tips for how to ‘inconvenience’ a man without getting charges pressed against you. Donna and I ended up sharing a mudbath for desert ^.^

Sloths’ Con Christmas. We ended up getting out of our lunch a little late, and what with traffic being a nightmare, we didn’t actually get to Chibi’s till 4:20ish. I told Reiko that I had wanted her to actually feel as though she got there early for once...even though she was late too -.- Anywho! They were surprised to see my cousin, but almost instantly accepted her into the fold. In fact all it took was a ‘are you as cool as MM?’ question for them to want to boot me out _ But that’s another story. We all sat down and exchanged gifts and we all loved our gifts. I got both the Moutos gifts that corresponded without actually matching. Chibi and Reiko both received a beautiful hanging fairy from Pyramid Collection and a lovely key necklace, but their gifts were unique to them. I also got Scamp a 60 color pencil set and a year’s subscription to Writer’s Digest. I would’ve gotten her a membership to their book club as well, but her income is substantially less than mine, and it wouldn’t be fair to shove all those books in her face without her being able to actually get them. So yeah. Reiko got Chibi the second season of House, and she got me the first season of Bones. I’m pretty sure that I mentioned that I knew what she got me because of the escapades we had to go through to get it, but if not oh well. Chibi got me a T-shirt of Sesshomaru, a cool kanji mug, and a beautiful necklace; She got Reiko a necklace that Reiko’s always stealing from her (she figured she’d earned it), a kanji mug and a nezu & neko Furuba T-shirt. Very cute. Note: Pictures of this event is up on my FaceBook ^.^ After that, Scamp and I showed them all the benefits of having a GameShark to stop the timer on Katamari & We Love. It was fun for a bit when we could finally impress them by rolling up the world and all. Then we watched the first few episodes of Threshold. Chibi made some (very nasty) onigiri in between brakes (when we had to get up or permanently loose all feeling in our backsides), but we didn’t actually leave till 11. And even then it felt like we hadn’t spent enough time together -.-

Saturday. I was feeling a little more sick Saturday morning, but Mom, Scamp and I had all planned on heading to town to pick some things up. We had to be home before 1 because Mom had a wedding to go to. We got a couple of nice shirts at Avenue and I also bought a few products at Bath & Bodyworks. I was getting low on my pink cherry blossom shower wash, so I wanted to get a bit more, and I’ve noticed that my hands are cracking a bit, so I wanted to get some lotion as well. Well, I got both of those, and then I noticed some caramel corn bodywash/shampoo/bubble bath. I had to get that too! Then a sales lady said if you buy 3 you get 1 free, so I got Scamp some hot chocolate hand lotion (that I’m sure will make all British boys and pert puppies lap right out of her hands ^___^). We went home and just chilled out for a while. Neither of us was feeling that great. We ended the night gabbing our heads off in my room. Bub came in that morning while we were out shopping, so he had to take the guest room. I admitted that I was a fitful sleeper and Scamp said she’d rather sleep on the sofa. So that’s how things went. But before we really called it a night she checked in with her parents who’d called earlier. They said they were picking her up early, sometime Sunday morning because her uncle was coming in and he had gifts for them all. I couldn’t really complain since I’d had her for 5 days or so. I think we finally got to bed around...1ish?..I guess.../shrugs.

Sunday (Christmas Eve). Sunday I felt really bad. I thought maybe it was just because I was tired, but I really couldn’t shake it. After waking up and having breakfast, Scamp and I just hung out in my room till her parents got here to pick her up. We visited for about 45 minutes before they left with her and all the gifts I had gotten for her siblings. We then headed for church, which was very nice. I was nearly falling asleep by the end of it, but I was very hungry. That’s completely new for me considering we used to get up and go to the 8 am service and be out in time for 10:30. No one was really hungry, but we’d all head out to town (if nothing was cooking at home) and arrive just in time for the restaurants to open. Once we smelled the food we were a bit hungry, but even then it was a proper “I really want to eat” hungry. It was more of a “hmm, that sure smells good” hungry. This time we were actually hungry. So we went to Burger King for Bub, Dad and I and Mom got something from Taco Bell (which is not a church ^___^). Inside joke. I quickly succumbed to my illness right after eating and was miserable all day. I did manage to (somehow) get a scene from the book written out. It’s not in sequence, but it is crucial so I wrote it all out before I lost it.

Christmas. Christmas was fun and terrible all at the same time. Bub was just as sick as I was (perhaps worse), but we managed to try and put on a good front for the rents ^,^ We had our traditional breakfast of tomato gravy and biscuits with bacon. Then we exchanged gifts and all, and I really do think that passes entirely too fast. I got a very nice jewelry box, a pretty necklace, and a 60 disc CD holder from the rents. Scamp got me this adorable statue of a baby dragon, who I’ve taken to calling Edger (Eddy for short). I’d been eying him from the Pyramid Collection catalogs, even though I was certain it’d be one of those things I’d never buy for myself. Dad got a gift certificate from Harbor Freight from Mom. And from me he got the Bible Collection (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Sampson & Delilah, and King David), the Smokie & The Bandit Persuite Pack, and The Ultimate Johnny Carson Collection on DVD. Mom got a watering can fountain and the computer game Insaniquarium from me. She got Channel #5 from Dad. Thomas got a “grooming kit” from all of us along with some cash to get more clothes while he’s down here. We all retreated to enjoy our gifts. Note: There will also be pictures of this on my FaceBook.

I cleaned up my room a bit so we could scoot my jewelry box in here and then loaded it up. That got me to wanting to clean for good, and that kept me busy while Dad and Bub watched King David. I realized it had been a while that I’d been cleaning when Mom tapped on the wall and told me lunch was ready. We had roast beef in gravy with mashed potatoes, rolls, green been casserole, and rice dressing. It was wonderful. Then Bub and I promptly went off to be sick and pass out for hours while the rents went and visited other family members who were celebrating at their houses.

I woke up after being asleep for a while and they were back. It was dark, so I asked Dad if he wanted to watch some of the Johnny Carson DVDs with me. We laughed so hard at that. There was this one thing (which will explain the title) where Johnny came out and said that there was a woman arrested for performing sexual favors for spaghetti dinners. She didn’t demand money or anything she just wanted spaghetti. So he said “Does that make her a Pasta-tute?” and Mom like to died laughing! I had to pause it, she was so loud. And I’m not talking about insane giggles neither; no-ho! This was high-pitched, I can’t breath, my sides are aching, Hyena on speed laugh. We ended up laughing harder at her than at the video! She said it almost reminded her of when I was very young and I had read over something about concubines in the bible and I asked if we knew any ‘combines’. Started the laughing madness all over again...

Lord, it’s been a pretty good day. It’d be nice if this sore throat and heavy head would go away, but still. All in all a very nice Christmas. Even if I am more exhausted and sore from all the merry making. Now that I’ve finished up this monumental entry and the e-mal I was writing to Scamp, I’m gonna finish my hot tea and go take my shower. Goodnight.
