The Music Saves My Stomach -..-

I really hate that I haven't gotten around to writing here yet. Especially since Sunday night was so fun. At the church, Takara, Lamarr and Timmy didn't show because they had work to be done at their house. Buddy wasn't there either, so it was just the boys and us. I had been showing Alicia a little pet project I was working on. I had decided to try the iWeb application for making web pages, and since the main focus of my life is the Youth group, I made a page for them. The boys came in as we were looking at it. They all thought it was pretty awesome, and I had to tell them that I really had very little to do with it since the application made it so effortless.
Julian had gotten up to 250 points, and according to our reward system, he could claim an MP3 player. We had intended to get him a small 2gig one from Wal-Mart, but since Dad bought me that new iPod, I asked him if he'd rather have my old 4gig iPod. He was very happy about it and enthusiastically accepted. I wasn't sure how to wipe an iPod on the spot, but Alicia and I doped it out. After giving him a brief tutorial in how to connect the iPod to his computer and upload songs, I handed the Calliope, renamed Julian, over to him :) He was so happy, he just stared at the blank iPod, playing about with it just to inspect how it worked and all. I was so delighted by his reaction that I temporarily forgot my own discomfort with not having an iPod to help me get around in these hills =..=
Mom had cooked a huge gumbo and invited some people from the church over. This included the boys and their Mom, two visiting missionaries, and Pastor Sam and Mrs. Karen. The table isn't geared for that many people, so the boys and I sat in the living room while everyone else enjoyed the table. The boys and I talked a lot, and I found out that they each have their own brand of 'girl problems'. Billy didn't talk much because he was having an 'epic battle' via text messaging -..- Jesse was perfectly content to just sit and talk, but Julian was a bit restless if only because he had been hoping to use Billy's phone to call his girlfriend. Julian would wait patiently for a bit and then beg for the cell, and Billy would yell, "Epic battle!" and keep right on texting. Finally, I just gave Julian my phone and let him call her, because it was obvious Billy was getting nowhere. We came over to place too, and the boys were like kids in a candy store when they saw all my swords and daggers :) To the point that Billy said he wanted to hide in my closet o..O' But they had to leave soon after that because it was getting fairly late and they'd be having school in the morning and all.
Monday was...hard. Mr. TJ, our friendly neighbor, decided to take us on a tour of the mountains so we could get some good pictures of the countryside. That would've been great...if I don't get motion sickness just from the hills I have to go over to get to the main highway =..=' I lasted pretty long, thanks to borrowing one of Dad's nearly broken CD players, but after a while, nothing really helped. I was headachy and totally plagued by motion sickness. We did get some pictures, and the scenery was truly beautiful.... but it really wasn't enough compensation for my misery >..<
Now...I'm washing towels and sprucing up a bit. In between working I've been watching Robotech :) I've already gone through the entire Macross Saga and now I'm starting on the Masters Saga. I just wish I'd stop getting the munchies -..- It's like I'm craving something, but I've no idea what I really want. I hate it when that happens.
Oh well. I guess that's all for now. I'll write later, Sunshines :)
You Are "Hey" |
![]() You tend to be more of a listener than a talker. You especially hate talking to strangers. You are independent and very creative. You are good at expressing your thoughts, even if you keep most of them private. Some people may see you as standoffish, but you're really a friendly person. It just takes you a while to warm up. |
