Moving on Over

I must say, I am just so fit to be tied with being bored without the computer. The weather has been splendid ‘stay at home’ weather, and all the movies I have, I’ve already watched a billion times, and I can’t exactly afford to go out and buy more. There are two things that I’m looking forward to this week; getting AMOS back (preferably fixed), and Friday (payday!).

I’ve already paid all my bills, so I’m hoping to have a bit of spending money for movies and such.... I’m not sure. If I make the usual $300+ then $100 will automatically go into Savings, leaving me $200+. You know me with my money plans; if I don’t have a plan for my money, I’ll end up spending it all. I definitely want to get V for Vendetta, the four disc box set of The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, and Lady and the Tramp because Disney has made it clear they’re pulling the last two back into the vault at the end of the month (and I’m buying V ‘cause it rocks my soxs). I already bought the special edition of Bambi the other day at Sam’s. I checked there for the other movies while I was there, but it’s cheaper at Amazon.com if you can believe that. So, as soon as payday rolls around I’ll make another Amazon purchase. But I was thinking of buying other things...maybe something other than movies >.>... Because we all known I need to increase my DVD collection...<.< Not sure. We shall see (I’m open for suggestions ^_^).

I finally got the chance to talk to Scamp Saturday. We musta been on the phone for about two and a half hours. It was fun just to talk and catch up. Without the computer and being able to post and send e-mails at any time, it feels like we haven’t been communicating properly. She said she would be writing me back soon and enclosing Lacey and Jade’s portraits to add to my Scamp Art© binder ^.^ That’s always really cool to hear.

I said earlier that there were some things I’d been stewing about lately. Well, after getting along so great with me and my parents, Dad and Mom brought up the option of Scamp moving in over here. Then they said it might be better for us to move into the A-frame house and live there. The rent would be reduced to $100 a month instead of the usual $400, but it still wouldn’t be a free ride. Of course, if we could both have jobs and such at the time, it’d be a very nice living. When I called, I talked about the A-frame with her, and she said even if it would be small, it’d still be nice. We already talked about how we want to decorate it. The bathroom/washroom would have the mermaid paintings and such from Pyramid Collection. The kitchen would have a dragon décor, beings as the kitchen represents fire and all. The living room would have the lotus decorations, because lotus is more soothing and peaceful and we see the living room as a room where you go for conversation or TV watching and such and you want that to be peaceful. My room, I want the fairies from Pyramid, just because Pyramid’s fairies look better than most. Scamp said she might save big time and decorate her room with swords and such from the Lord of the Rings section on the Nobles Collection. The only thing I’m not sure about is all the eastern art and décor I have in my room right now. I kinda don’t want to get rid of that, but I’m not sure if it’ll go anywhere in the house...we’ll see. It might-could fit in the lotus living room. The next thing I worried about was furniture. I can keep my bed of course. But chairs and such for the living room might be a problem. But I told Mom that, and she assured me that between garage sales and local thrift stores it shouldn’t be too hard to find some cheap furniture. All I really want for the living room is a few chairs and end tables next to those chairs. No coffee table...we’re both a bit klutzy and there’s very little room, so I can’t see having a coffee table. The only other issue would be the computer issue. I mean, we might-could fit a little computer desk in the nook behind the stairs where my closet would be...but after thinking about it, I thought it might be easier if we got Scamp a laptop (at some point), and then put my computer upstairs with me in my room, and got a wireless router that would transmit internet wirelessly to her lap top and she could use that anytime in her room and not be limited and have to either come up to my room (which would kill her, because those stairs are very verry steep), or go to the living room. Ideally...it might just be better if we both had laptops, if only because it’d save a whole lotta space =____=’ Chibi had a very nice Mac LapTop...I might-could start looking at prices now...But now I’m just over thinking everything. But, hell! It’ll be my first time living on my own...I think I’m entitled to over-react if I wanna.

Oh! I almost forgot! Scamp told me that Sev had wanted her to dress up as a peep for Halloween. And I was like “Oh! That’d be so cool if you modernized it! Like, get a sequin, sparkly, slinky dress in purple, and have a peep-chick head as a hat! Oh!! And then I could get a blue sequin, sparkly, slinky dress, and have a peep-bunny head on top!! And we’d be themed!!! That’d be so cute!” and she’s like, “Stop taking his side! You traitor!” I still think it’d be very cute...I can’t help it. I love peeps -.-

I suppose that’ll be all for now...the weather’s making it really hard to stay awake, much less concentrate on typing. I might try to write a bit again later if I can. Ja.

Gong Band Rolling On

2007-Jan-05, Friday 10:30 am
msmoon: (OMG! ONOZ!)
Holy cow, the weather last night, ya’ll. It was bad at first because there was a tornado, flash flood warning out and all. And it was lightning and thundering and all and the rain was feirce, but then about an hour after the warning had lifted, the lightning was like a strobe light and the thunder was like a rolling gong band or something. It sounded worse than the weather that had warnings. Either way, I wasn’t sleeping, so I took the time to write till I just couldn’t stay awake anymore. It didn’t help that I was worried about my cousin in Abbeville, beings as they had a tornado touch down in New Iberia and all. But I got a rough draft drawing of Jade this morning, so I’m gonna go ahead and assume that all is well. For now.

In other news, I dropped AMOS off at the computer doctor’s this morning. It took all of 10 minutes to get him in there, explain what was wrong, fill out the paperwork and then be on my way. They were very nice about it, so it made it easier to drop him off. I had doubted that I was even the slightest bit menstrual untill I teared up 3 times this morning and one of them was when I had to leave AMOS there =,= As Lacey would say, I am so fried.= As Lacey would say, I am so fried.

…Oh, did anyone else enjoy the flower post? I thought it was cool. I put the supposed meaned of the flower under it’s picture, then the actual huge definition under that. I just thought it’d be another way to show cool facts and stuff. And since I recently started taking interest in the meaning behind flowers and trees, I thought that’d be cool.

Well, Jason’s working on the server back in the back, so we can’t actually work till he tells us we can get back on...s’kinda boring, but I’ll find ways to fill the time ^______^ I’ll check in on FaceBook and Amazon next. But that’s all for now. Ja!

Fixing and Gathering

2007-Jan-03, Wednesday 04:43 pm
msmoon: (Gargoyles - Oh really?)
Today on my lunch break, I went ahead and called the geeks over at Best Buy just like linuXman said to do. He said they’re the cheapest in town and all. It costs $199 for them to remove a virus from your computer…$199! I mean, OMG, if they’re the cheapest, I’d hate to see the most expensive! I went onto Yellow Book and printed out a list of computer service and repair places in the area. I’m thinking of calling around and asking them their prices too just in case.

Oh, also, an update on the Gathering Convention comingum in June. I was talking with my Mom and I decided to reserve rooms for the 21th – 26th of June so that gives us plenty of time to arrive and loung about before leaving. She then told me that Dad had told her to go ahead and put the ammount of the rooms on their credit card and that’d be my early birthday present…omgsquee, anyone? That has to be the coolest thing every. In fact, I think I’ve pretty much decided to pay them back a little with that...because it may just be too much O.o Or maybe I’ll just pay for all of our eats and such on the trip. We’ll see what we work out.

Also, Nicole announced that she’s throwing Mrs. Mary (her mother-in-law) a birthday party this Saturday. She invited all of us to come and said something about it being an all-girl party and such. That sounds like fun. Heck, any reason to celebrate would be a great idea if you ask me. We aren’t offered that many chances to do so in life so we should take them as they come. So Saturday, I will be heading over to Nicole’s place for the party...if I can find it...

That’s all for now. Here’s to hoping someone can fix AMOS cheaply -.- Ja.

Oh my God! Being without internet has become a serious issue now. I’m so bored at home. It’s just rediculous. I hate having to wait for work. And to top it all off, my computer has gotten slower. It takes about 30 minutes to get on, log on and actually bring up anything. And then it lags between actions =,= It’s gotten to the point that I don’t even turn it on anymore. What’s the point? Even worse, my nerdy computer friend linuXman has announced that he can’t help us. So we’re gonna have to just break down and ask the geek squad at Best Buy or something. I really just don’t know what else to do. I’ve saved everything I needed off of it (I think), so it doesn’t bother me if they have to whipe it clean.

In other news...I’ve written a huge letter to my cousin on something that I really want to post about, but can’t yet. I’ll wait till she’s told me she received the letter first. Then we’ll see.

Oh, yeah, I had a weird dream that I’ll be posting about later. ^_____________^

Also, I’ve uploaded a crap-load of pictures to the ‘Stuff’ Album on my FaceBook. That was ammusing. Other than that, I’ve got a double quarter pounder with cheese calling my name. Adios!

Is it Friday yet?

2006-Dec-28, Thursday 12:39 pm
msmoon: (Supernatural - Bad day?)
In case you didn’t know, being sick is not fun =,= After visiting the doctor Tuesday, I found out that I had a cold. Since getting medicine for it, I’ve slowly been getting better. I still feel really lousy very often, but it’s not as bad. However, since it’s passed (mostly), I’ve started cleaning my room and I’m gonna be calling luniXman to come over and see what’s wrong with AMOS. I cannot wait to be back online fully. I feel like I haven’t played WoW in ages and let’s not eve talk about being able to post, e-mail, and buy things at my own leasure.

I keep getting tired spell. I hope they pass quickly, beacue only a few charts came in and I’ve got plenty of time left to work =.= Is it Friday yet?

Harvest Moon

msmoon: (Firefly - Going mad)
Alright, so it’s almost completely confirmed that my computer has a worm. As such I stayed up till 2 in the morning trying to save various files to CD. =_______= I got a lot done, but there’s plenty left to be done. On the good side of things, Scamp is with us and we have had a blast. She gave me cheat codes for Katamari Damacy, and I got to legendary status!! It was much funness, even if it did keep us up till 11 something >.< Oh well. I’ll sleep well tonight…if I can manage to save as many files as possible. We’re also having a blast talking like crazy about everything from the Brits (mostly Sweet William), to family, and stories and her world and mine. Oh! She’s done an amazing drawing of Topez! I cannot wait to have that fully done and colored and everything. I can’t wait till we’ve fixed AMOS so that I can scan it on and put it on FaceBook. Or scan it and send it to her so she can put it on FaceBook…O.o either way. Whenever she goes back home next week, I’ll be sending all the other gifts I got for her sibs (my cousins).

I haven’t heard anything from Chibi...Rieko did send me an e-mail, and I quickly e-mailed her back regarding her schedule...If I haven’t heard anything by the end of the day, I’ll resort to making calls. Chibi said something about them not being here for Christmas because of the cruise they’re going on. The truth is that no one knows anything, so I’ll be referring over the phone whenever I can.

At work, both Mrs. Mary and Lacey are getting divorces from spouses that treat them poorly or have cheated on them. We don’t know how they can possible laugh at this, but I think it’s from the earlier experience. Both Lacey and Mrs. Mary have had this type of trouble before, so they’re not as devastated by it. Nicole said she’d be crying and Lori, Lenda and I agreed we’d probably be under investigation for justifiable homicide. /nod nod nod. It’s like it’s terrible, but they really are taking it in stride. S'probably more because they've little choice...

Oh well. That’s all for now. We got Lacey to get us some Raising Cains today, and from the headache that I’m getting tells me she needs to get back soon =__=

Brief Update:

  • Ok so, my parents are gonna go and get Scamp today instead of me leaving at dark:30. That's a releif.
  • I never did get those wireless PS2 controllers yesterday because Sam's was out of them I asked the people there, and they said they were on order and could come in tomorrow. Mom & Dad are also checking on that -_-
  • Brian never did come over last night, so I still have no interenet...woe is me. Scamp is hopeful that she'll be able to help a bit.

Now..after all that gloomyness. Let's move on to the laughter. I think we all need it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Something not to laugh about
If they know of him at all, many folks think Ben Stein is just a quirky actor/comedian who talks in a monotone. He's also a very intelligent attorney who knows how to put ideas and words together in such a way as to sway juries and make people think clearly.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary

Here with at this happy time of year, a few confessions from my beating heart: I have no freaking clue who Nick and Jessica are. I see them on the cover of People and Us constantly when I am buying my dog biscuits and kitty litter. I often ask the checkers at the grocery stores. They never know who Nick and Jessica are either. Who are they? Will it change my life if I know who they are and why they have broken up? Why are they so important? I don't know who Lindsay Lohan is either, and I do not care at all about Tom Cruise's wife. Am I going to be called before a Senate committee and asked if I am a subversive? Maybe, but I just have no clue who Nick and Jessica are.  If this is what it means to be no longer young? It's not so bad.

Next confession:
I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don' t feel  discriminated against. That's what they are: Christmas trees.  It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, "Merry Christmas" to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto.

In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu. If people want a creche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.

I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution, and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship Nick and Jessica and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him?

I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too.

But there are a lot of us who are wondering where Nick and Jessica came from and where the America we knew went to.
In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.

Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her "How could God let something like this Happen?" (regarding Katrina)

Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, "I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives.

And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?"

In light of recent events...terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found recently) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK.

Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shall not kill; thou shall not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about and we said OK.

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW."

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell.

Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says.

Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.

Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

 Are you laughing?

Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it.

Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.
Pass it on if you think it has merit. If not then just discard it... no one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in.

msmoon: (Slayers - Bawl)
OK, so two things. Got a call from Mom. Com Cast came and hooked everything up!...and we still have no internet =______= So, I’ll be placing a call to luniXman soon. I was so hoping it’d come back up today. I mean honestly, what’s the problem here? If it’s not the internet it has to be the computer right? ;__; But enough about my own misfortunes. Let’s move on to the drama at work!

Ok so secondly, today at work Lori tells us that she noticed this guy out side. Well, we’re on the second story, so we’ve got a great view of this field that’s behind us and behind a lot of other businesses. Lori said this dude just walked across the field, found this large wood pile, pulled out a board and laid down on it and fell asleep. So she felt really sorry for him (tis the season), and she wanted to run down there and give him the half of her sandwich that she didn’t eat. Of course Nicole wouldn’t let her because she was afraid the guy’d have a knife or gun and be nuts or something. So everyone but me and Lacey leave, and Lori can’t stand it anymore, but no one would let her go out and actually help this guy. So she calls around for shelters and such and the Bunkhouse (a local shelter) says that if she calls the cops and the guy checks out clean they’d give him a place to stay and a warm meal. So we call the cops and the cops think this dudes one of the local homeless dudes and if he is that means he’s deranged and sick and he’d be arrested. So we all watch at our windows as the police officer walks across this enormous field, and wakes the dude up and he gives the officer his ID and then the officer starts walking back. Ok, so we assume he isn’t the regular homeless deranged person, he must be just some down-on-his-luck guy. So Maria decides she wants to head out there and give the guy stuff and everyone goes on a scavenger hunt. Lori gives him her sandwich, a drink and her blanket, and a few people down stares contributed some items like money and such for the guy. Well, the officer comes back a little later (after we’ve given him all this stuff), and announces that this man is wanted on several drug and theft charges in Florida. But since it’s all out of his jurisdiction, he can’t arrest him. So he tells the guy to eat and be on his way. So we’re all a little upset about that. I mean, we were kinda hoping we could help him get to the Bunkhouse, but the Bunkhouse wont take people that have records or aren’t clean. He ate, gathered up his stuff and we all watched as he trekked off and away. Lori doesn’t regret giving him the things we gave him thought, because even if he is a druggey or a thief he’s still a homeless man, and in a way I do agree. Unfortunately, the officers said we need to make sure we go to our cars in twos for a little while...just in case =.=

So that was the little drama at work this afternoon. Man, that makes for a huge and convoluted story O.o Well, at the very least, no one can say ‘nobody cares and no one notices’ because we do and we did.

Harvest Moon

msmoon: (Firefly - Going mad)
Saturday. Today started out ok I guess. Mom and I woke up late. I should say that I woke up late. I’d had a terrible leg cramp that night. It was so bad that I couldn’t lay on my back with my calf touching anything. So when I finally got to sleep, I slept hard. We headed to the Bank for Mom first because she had to send Bub some money (again). Then she got a Wal-Mart money gram, while I got my bangs cut. We looked around at some other stuff (mostly computer/video games and DVD camcorders), but we only got a few things that we knew we needed. Still ended up being over $50 somehow …and they say Wal-Mart is the one with the low prices. After that we went to Books-A-Million...just to look around I guess. I saw some interesting D&D books that I wanted to add to my wish list. Dragon Compendium, Magic of Incarnum, and Complete Mage all looked really interesting to me. But then, I like all of the D&D books, so I’m biased. Then we headed home. Mom was feeling really sick, and I wasn’t feeling much better really. We got home, watched The Pacifier and promptly konked out. At least, Mom did. She was really feeling like she was getting a virus or something. I watched The Soup and started watching Wolf’s Rain. Why do I bother with Wolf’s Rain? Sure, it’s beautiful and wonderful but the ending is agony…/shrugs. Oh well. Now we both feel really sick with the virus =_= Oh well. Final Destination & Final Destination 2 is on…and I’m in the mood for a laugh.

Ok, so after watching FD1 & 2 and I have to say…I don’t think I’ve laughed this much watching the Sci Fi channel since they showed Jeepers Creepers 2. Did anyone else see Jeepers Creepers 2? That was hysterical!! Oh! At the end of FD2, when they all think it’s over and they’re bar-b-queing with those farmer folks that they took the car from. And the farm kid says that he nearly got killed by the news van and then goes over to the grill, and the two people look over expectantly and then the grill explodes! Right as the woman started screaming, I heard Ruby says “Death’s back, bitches.” It was so freakn’ funny! Though the likenesses between the people in the first movie and second movie are scary. Eugene and Carter are alike in that they’re non-believers that wanna go out on their own terms and make a big show about killing themselves even though they don’t get the chance to. Kim’s like Alex because of the premonitions I suppose. Clair’s herself, but that police officer dude reminds me of her in the fact that he’s supporting Kim. Oh, and the stoner dude reminds me of Hitchcock...the business chick reminds me of that preppy girl that got run over by the buss, and the mom and her kid kinda remind me of the Teacher and Todd from the first movie. Clair finally died though... Funny no? You know, I don’t find horror movies in general to be funny, it’s just teen-horror movies if you know what I mean. The more teens involved the funnier it is for some odd reason. I guess it’s because they’re so stupid...I mean, not the movies but the teens in them. I remember watching The Ring and that wasn’t stupid or funny. Jeepers Creepers the first movie, was very creepy, which is what they wanted I imagine. But it wasn’t funny, it was freaky-creepy. So, does anyone have any other teen-horror movies that are stupid funny that I can add to this list’o’mine. Maybe the subject shouldn’t be teen horror movies, but rather things that are taken seriously that are completely laughable.

Oh, and as a bonus, I got to see Village of the Damned which is the movie version of The Midwich Cuckoos. I’d become interested in the book when I learned about the Stepford Cuckoos from X-Men. I was debating on whether or not to watch it, and I even left the room for a second to go and get something, then I came back in and all the people just dropped and I thought “Hmm...this reminds me of The Midwich Cuckoos book…” then I saw the sign that said “Midwich 7” and was like “Dude!!!” So of course, I had to watch it. After that I was like “Um, is that Kristi Alley? God she’s hot...” and then “OMG! That’s Mark Hamil!! I am so not worthy...” and lastly “It’s Christopher Reeves…*sniffles*” Although, I gotta say, I don’t know if in the book the alien kids were actually kids. On the cover of the book I saw, it looked like young adults to me...but the movie was creepier if only because creepy kids like that are so much scarier than anything else science fiction can throw at me O_O Little David was awfully cute though...

Also, Sci Fi has been running the Arby’s commercial where there are 3 construction workers sitting on break, and two foxy ladies walk by and they say nothing, then they start cat-calling at a balding guy in a suit because he has an Arby’s bag and I’ve laughed myself into a headache at least 3 times from it. Then again, they’ve been running the Eregon (which I can’t wait to see) commercial, The Lost Room commercial and the ED commercial…I’m getting sick of the last two in that list =.= Though that Staples commercial with the gift panel is funny when you see different ones. Oh! And that World of Warcraft commercial! Where this guy is actually sitting at his cubical at work playing WoW, and some guy walks up and says “How are you doing? Are you gonna have that report done for us by this afternoon?” and the WoW dude says “No. In fact, I’m gonna have to ask you to just come back another time. I got a meeting with the Bobs in a couple of minutes.” And the narrator says “Somewhere you’d rather be?” that was so cool! I don’t know how many times I wished I could play WoW at work =___=

Guilty Pleasure. Ok, I have a confession to make. I’ve discovered my very first guilty pleasure. The truth is that I really don’t feel guilty about most of the things that I enjoy doing. Even if most/some people don’t consider them right, fun or cool. I argue that if it doesn’t take insane domination over my life and gives me pleasure, it’s just fine. But I have discovered one thing that I think is very not right and in fact it makes me feel a bit guilty that it gives me pleasure……I love...watching The Girls Next Door on E!. Do not ask me why, but I find their inane prattling hilarious. In fact, if I see that there running it on E!, I’ll sit and watch it...even if it’s reruns. I find myself very ashamed that I enjoy watching these girls considering that they’re the exact opposite of everything I consider important. But Alas, it’s true. I enjoy watching the blond bimbos.

AMOS. Even without the internet, AMOS is still behaving terribly. It takes 2 minutes to pull start things that used to take nanoseconds. I think Scamp mentioned something about Memory and I’m beginning to wonder if maybe that might be it….I’ve got hundreds of World of Warcraft pictures too, that could be it. I wish I could figure out how to get WoW to convert the images to jpeg files. Then I wouldn’t have to convert them, I’d just burn them to CD when they get to be too much. But it can’t be just that. I had at least 300 pics of Shenna alone on my PC when I played EverQuest, and I had about 80 characters...I’ve only got 5 warcraft characters. So it can’t be just the WoW pics. I just can’t figure out what to do and that frustrates me so =_____=

Oh! My Mom made the most wonderful mistake anyone can make! She was grocery shopping while I was at work and bought me another bag of coffee, only she bought coffee beans! I was so excited because with my bullet blender and all, I can effectively grind coffee beans into powder! I’ve always wanted to grind my own coffee beans. I’d only heard that it makes the coffee so much better. And boy did it ever. I am so glad she made that mistake, and I hope that we can make it more often.

I’m boared...I wanna play Katamari...and talk with Scamp...and hang out with my ‘Mouto-chans...Grr.

Ok, so. My computer’s been cranky lately. Not working right and never really letting me do what I need to do. So, I asked linuXman about it and he recommended 2 software programs to buy/download and run on the PC. The number for the title is the amount of Spy ware SpyWare Bot found on my PC. Honestly. Then, I remove all that crap, and what happens? That’s right folks. I’m writing this to you because we have no internet over at MM’s house. It’s a crying shame. We’re getting internet with ComCast on the 14th of this month, so Mom says that if it doesn’t rectify itself then we’ll have to just wait and let the ComCast people come and fix it. I’m gonna try what I know (which isn’t much), but till then I’ll be posting when I get breaks at work. So if I don’t reply quickly, it’s because of that. That’s all I can give ya’ll for today. So wish me luck, and later.

msmoon: (Ice Age - Twitch)
Ok...so I’m at work (on break), and I thought I’d post because I might not post all weekend with the way my computer’s been behaving. I’m almost certain I have a virus if only because it’s freezing and going so slow. I’m hoping I don’t but /shrugs, I really just don’t know what else it could be. I’ll ask techno-geek luniXman as soon as I can, but /sigh I dunno.

In all other news! My shelves have been installed and my PS2 is on its along with Katamari Damacy. I took all the suggestions given to me and added them to my wish list (both on Amazon and on GameSpot.com). My Dad says that when he comes in next time he’ll make a third shelf to go above my TV and it’ll hold books and stuff so they’ll all look symmetrical. They’re kinda scratchy right now because he couldn’t get them all the way painted in time, but I think they’re spiffy. Tonight (after Mom’s women’s meeting) we’ll be headed to town to get a few things for the PS2 that I just don’t feel like waiting for. I plan on getting 2 wireless controllers and a PS & PS2 memory card (thanks to Scamp for the advice!). Twin-san was all full of good games too. She wrote me and was like ‘ok, get Jak and Daxter, Final Fantasy VII-XII, the .hack series, legend of dragoon, final fantasy tactics, suikoden iii, iv, and v, dynasty warriors 4 and 5..let's see.oh, of course, katamari. that is fun as hell! anyway if i remember any more i'll send them your way. rock on to getting a ps2 finally :D’ ….O.o that’ll all be going on the wish lists. In related news...Mom wants me to get DDR O.o’

Speaking of Dad, he said he was going to ‘fix’ my fan for me =.=’ Yeah. When he put it back up it was noisier than it had been. Of course he didn’t want to go out, buy and install a brand new fan on his last day, so I’m stuck with a small desk fan. Good thing the weather turned cold so I don’t need a fan desperately.

Oh! Also, we’ve switched our services from Bellsouth to Time Warner. Or, it will be switched come December 14. We have to network our computers together...but considering how badly AMOS is behaving, that might not be a good idea -.- Y’know...I think my next computer will be MAC. I’ve nothing but good about them. Of course, my next computer will probably be five years down the road, and I’ll have to buy it myself but still. You get what I mean. But anyway. We’ll be getting TV, Phones, and Internet all on the same plan, and we’ll be saving about $10 a month. Not much, but it adds up na no da.

Uh...hmm. /thinks. I’m sure there was more that I wanted to say, but it’s escaping me at the moment...funny that. Oh well.

TGIF
Can I get an Amen?

I guess I’ll close out on that note. Later!

Gosh, this morning posting thing is catching on. Probably because I’m more tired and less likely to post after work. My computer’s still as zany as ever at this point, but I’ve run a virus program on it and it has yet to find any threats. /shrugs I’m gonna keep running them though…just for the heck of it.

Ok, so I have a question for my PS2 junkies out there (yes, I’m talking to the three of you). I always thought a PS2 was just a bit smaller (height wise) than an average VCR. S’that correct? See, the way I figure it, I’m gonna get my dad to nock out the shelves that I have for my TV and VCR. He’ll make some that are a bit lower, so that the VCR and PS2 will be right above my computer, and the TV will be right above that. Theoretically the PS2 and VCR will go side by side, but Dad asked the dimensions of the PS2 for certainty sake, and I really didn’t know...Here’s how my set-up looks now:

visuals )

But when Dad’s done, the shelves will span across the entire nook. The Nook is about 39 inches across, the VCR is 17 inches long-ways and about 4 inches in height…..so that means the remaining shelf space would be about 22 inches. So as long as the PS2 doesn’t exceed 22 inches long-ways, it should be fine. …..theoretically.

Oh well. I’d better hurry up and finish this. This computer’s going so slow that it’s just not letting me post quickly any more. I shall try again sometime later with updates…ja!

Gaahhhhh! I swear this computer is totally pissing me off! It’s super slow, and it won’t let me just switch between windows like it used to. I usually have my journal up, another web page up, my e-mail, and then my folder that has all my junk in it, and it takes forever to switch between the two and it never just switches, it freezes momentarily then allows me to function in the window for a minute before freezing again. And when I click on links, it goes even slower. Man!

/sigh. OK. Moving on. A lot has happened...Or, perhaps I should say that a lot happened yesterday. It was a long day. We got up and went to church as usual, then we went out to eat afterwards. We went home and changed into comfortable clothes, and Mom and I hit the road. We headed over to Lafayette to give my cousin, scamp, her birthday gifts. She got the entire Lord of The Rings Trilogy Extended edition DVDs and a 1GB jump drive that I’m sure she’ll put to good use...We talked for a while, and I showed her my FaceBook. She says she’s gonna get on when she’s 18 since that’s the requirement and she’s turning 18 in ...well, it was 2 days, but now it’s tomorrow -.- But Mom said we had to start home because it’s about a 2 hour trip depending on traffic and weather. So, we started back and we got back around 4:30.

I immediately took a shower. It helps me to relax, and I do get a bit claustrophobic in cars so I needed it. After that, I put some incense on and checked Amazon.com. I figured ‘what the heck’ and bought a PS2 with the Katamari Damacy game. I figured, the price is relatively low at this point, and I do have money in the bank not to mention that payday is this Friday; so, it’s not like I’m overdrawing or being irresponsible. I’m fairly excited about it. Dad says that he’ll take out the shelf that my VCR is on and extend it so that I can put both the VCR and the PS2 up there. I just home the cord on the controls is long enough to be comfortable at the foot of the bed...we’ll figure something out.

Well, I’d better get off of here before I panic and think I’m gonna make myself late. Stupid computer, running slow. Oh well, tootles!

msmoon: (Supernatural - no good)
Wow. MM has been a very bad LJ girl. Bad MM. I’ve been meaning to post, I just never have worked up the proper enthusiasm for it. And I’ve been writing e-mails like crazy to Gillian, and on a working day, I can only focus my energy on one thing; writing her a e-mail or posting. Don’t ask for both na no da. So, updates and changes...let’s see...

Well, I’ve added on a few more Icons because I’m just nerdy that way. I also found the cutest mood icons hidden away in the recesses of AMOS. I guess I must’ve found them as a zip at one time and downloaded them with the intent of putting them on and then forgot about them. Problem is, I’ve no idea who made them in the first place. So, thank whoever you are from bringing the kawaii blobs back. I’m enjoying them very much.

I’ve been watching Lord of the Rings again. With my work schedule and all, it’s taken me a week to get to The Two Towers. Isn’t that just depressing? But then I’ve been watching all the bonus footage. And when I say all, I mean all.

In other news, I’ve been ripping all my CDs and putting all of my music on my computer. Why? Because I’m a paranoid nerd like that. Go figure. Also, my parents bought me Easy Media Creator 8 today for my birthday. Mom said she had no idea what to get me so she just wanted me to go with them and pick out what I wanted. So I did. Speaking of Birthdays, I have Gillian’s, Chibi’s and Reiko’s birthday presents. All I need to worry about now is my Twin’s. Which isn’t much of a worry since I’ve a pretty good idea what I’m gonna get her. You know, it’d be so much easier if everyone in the world had an Amazon.com wish list. Chibi always makes it extraordinarily easy for me to buy her things if only because she has a wish list with Amazon. Moving on...Oh, you know what? Gillian’s birthday is right around Thanksgiving, so if we end up getting together for Thanksgiving with our families like we’ve been hoping we would, I could actually give her her present…that’s be so cool!

Other than all that, not much is really going on. Other than me starving...which really doesn’t make sense when you consider that I’ve got a steak from Applebee’s sitting in the refrigerator...I think I hear it calling my name...So, till next time!

Updated Movie List

msmoon: (Exotic Eye)
Beware, for I am: Blah Blah

I have a confession to make...for the last couple of weeks, I have taped and watched Angel. It comes on for two hours early in the morning. 5 and 6 a.m. to be more precise there. I saw it back when I had to wake up early for work, and it interested me...I think it was the episode where Conner dumped Angel into the ocean and Cordelia was ascended to the higher plane. And I kinda just wanted to see what would happen, and I wasn’t willing to get up early to watch it. So I set it to tape...when will this madness stop? For God’s sake, people! I mean, ok…I’m giving this series a chance because it’s Joss Whedon, but even I can only take so much. /sigh

Anyway...on to other things. My work schedule is changing yet again. But it’s nothing bad or anything...depending on how you look at it. Boss lady wants me to come in super early so’s I can work on the filing in the back room without over-heating. Then she figures I can take a break for a few hours and come back and work till five. So I’ll be working from 7 – 11 in the back (and as that’s four hours and I only need 6 ½ each day, I only need 2 ½ more), so I’ll come back at 2:30 and work till 5. But I’m only going to be doing that in the latter part of the week, like Thursdays and Fridays. Which means that Drama-Free Thursday and Casual-Dress Fridays are as good as dead to me. Sorry, Poppy-kun. But, if I can get more done, I’ll try not to complain about it.

In other news, I got two packages in today. I got, The Silver Stallion and Epic in. Although, it sounds a bit dramatic to be calling him ‘Epic’...so I think I’ll just call him...Bert. /nod nod nod I like Bert. Now, I’m kinda wanting to buy some other horses from them. They have so many pretty horses...pretty pwetty horses.../shakes head uh, yeah. So, maybe I’ll think about that.../blink blink. Also, I decided to update my ‘Movie List’, and I’ve actually made a tag for the Movie List. That way I wont have to go hunting through the ‘lists’ and ‘movies’ categories. ...I’m an obsessor. Sue me ¬.¬ Anyway. Here’s the new Movie list.

Wow...I have no life. Oh well. I’m expecting Underworld – Evolution to come in any day now, as I’ve gotten the other three movies I ordered. Mom says we need a shelf to put Bert on, but I don’t know where to ask for it. I’ve always said I wanted a top self that would go across the wall that my window’s on just that the top of the window’s seal for books and stuff...Maybe now’s a good time to re-request it.

I suppose that’s all for now. G’night crazies.

Fire
-5 Earth, -2 Air, 5 Fire, 2 Water
You have one of the seven Fire personalities. Fire is cleansing and destroys impurities and wrongness. Fire personalities like to focus on what is right: morally, ethically, and just plain correctly. As a Doctor, you would be most interested in indetifying the patient's problem so you cut it out or kill it or whatever.

OKC won't let me list all 52 categories, so I've had to bundle seven categories into one here. Take a look at your score to find the exact category that applies to you below, then find the blurb about the category the most suits you father below. Remember that the subcategories listed here assume you already had the scores to put you on this page, so don't try to use the subcategories on someone else's page. High is +5&up, Low is minus 5&down.

Fire High, Earth&Air Low: Strict Moralist

Fire High, Earth&Water Low: Strict Philosopher

Fire High, Water&Air Low: Strict Engineer

Fire High, Earth Low: Scholar

Fire High, Air Low: Tradionalist

Fire High, Water Low: Idealist

Fire High, nothing Low: Pure Fire

IdealistYou are the Idealist. The most important thing to you is what is right, and it seems a bit odd to you that this isn't true for everyone. Come to think of it, you may not be convinced that this isn't true for everyone, at least at some level. Your friendships are generally based on aquaintances, and you have a stronger tendency than most to lose track of people if there isn't some other reason to come in contact with them. When you hold a belief, you tend to hold it strongly or not at all. Middle ground isn't your forte.

Pure FireAll fire personalities are concerned with what is right, but there are a lot of different kinds of "right" to choose from. Something could be right because it helps people, or right because it is logically correct, or right because it makes something function properly. Your personality is relatively balanced in the types of "right" that have importance to you. Which is the most important one to you that shifts based on where you are, who you are with, and what you are doing.

ScholarYou figure that the best questions are the ones that give you some insight into the truth. Your personality revolves around what it right, and you are somewhere in between the moralist and the philosopher in terms of your outlook on life. Work to you means figuring things out, not building them. Many science fiction authors show world where robots and similar technology take care of all the mundane work, and that would suit you just fine.

Strict EngineerOf all the engineering personalities, this is the one most concerned with what is right. You are suited to the life-or-death engineering problems that face the world, like making sure that airplane wings don't fall off. The rumor is that you don't have social skills. Actually, you can be quite polite and charming when you put your mind to it. That just isn't a priority. Putting wild and crazy untested ideas into practice isn't so much your thing, unless "putting into practice" can include a whole lot of refining and perfecting along the way.

Strict MoralistYou know what is right and what is correct, and your philosophy is grounded in what is right for people. You have the tendency to get carried away with your ideas and maybe impose them on others from time to time, and sometimes what is right isn't the same as what is easy, but even in the most confusing of day to day situations, you see through to the essence of the matter to find what is right, or more often what is wrong. Your demanding nature can be a bit hard on relationships, and people who want to run off and start things without a plan can lose their patience with you at times.

Strict PhilosopherThe strict philosopher is creative, and channels that creativity through a keen sense of the way things should be. Your best ideas come when reacting to material from others. Often seing a mistake in what someone else does suggests what is right to you. Your closest friendships are with people who understand that you don't need to be mushy to show affection, and probably tend towards devices like sarcasm. You get frustrated with people who go off half cocked on a project and have to do thing over because they didn't do them right.

TradionalistYou are most comfortable when there is a structure to the way things are done and people respect that. You don't have a particular problem making friends, but are selective about who you will make friends with and who you will stay friends with. This isn't being disloyal --- you are quite loyal to those who do right by you --- but you keep the bar high for membership to that inner circle. Chaos is not something you enjoy in your life, and you find it easier to get things done when you have the time to make sense of everything first.

msmoon: (Grrr!)

Beware, for I am: Image hosted by Photobucket.com Frustrated

Wow. Another one of those days. Woke up around...when was it?...it had to be about 8 or so. The reruns of Gilmore Girls run at 9:30 and I was actually back in for it. So anyway, while I was fixing breakfast my dad says to me, “Hon, I need your help with something, and don’t say ‘no’.” Which means I was going to be helping him (he told me I couldn’t say no after all -.-). After a quick pop tart and coffee fest for breakfast, I got dressed and went outside. Turns out he needed me to help him with ‘yard work’ of a sorts.

My uncle C (the head of the rich family members) owns a tractor that has a dump thingy on it...you know, it raises the dump bucket and lowers and there’s three levers just to operate the dump thingy. Anyway, it’s a fancy-snancy tractor that has it’s on air conditioned cab, and Dad had been using it to take heaps of mud that he’d previously dug and discarded while digging out our old ditch, and putting them in the lower lying areas of the yard. Well, when the street was paved, there was a crew that came and did some trimming of branches around the power lines. They then chopped the branches into mulch, and for some odd reason, my mom thought we might need a bunch of mulch. So she asked them to dump a bit in our yard. We ended up with a pile that would cover a sumo-wrestler. But we had it right next to our drive way, and Dad was worried that it’d attract termites.

The whole purpose of this rant is for me to explain that he had moved almost all of the pile, but he couldn’t get the stuff at the bottom without someone to help him get it into the dumper’s bucket. He gave me a crash course in the operation of the tractor (I hate clutch vehicles), and I ended up dumping two loads at the back of our lot, onto a dead banana tree. Air conditioned or not, I was still sweating after that was over. I was afraid I’d wreck the tractor or screw up the transmission or something >_> But all was well after that.

Then I watched the rerun of Gilmore Girls only to realize that Mom and I had seen it Friday. Turns out Gilmore Girls reruns at two times, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, but the ones in the afternoon are an episode ahead of the ones in the morning. So if you view Monday’s afternoon GG, there really is no point in seeing Tuesday’s morning GG. I watched it anyway, because it was Emily and Richard’s reconciliation. I liked that part. I hated how Emily ordered Christopher around at the end though. So, I assume that means Luke and Lorelai’s big break-up concerning Christopher will be either next or soon.

Enough about that though. I then went and looked over the adds in the paper. I found three adds to apply for not counting the staffing agencies that I’ve already applied at. I edited my cover letter and printed out three for each, then made resumes and envelopes to go with each. I waited till Mom and Dad had gone over the bills and made out their payments, then I headed to town. I deposited my last check into my bank and got enough cash for a car wash. My car was caked with dust, and I figured if I didn’t get it cleaned now then I never would. So I did that, and then I went to Rouses where they had a post office drop box. I dropped all the mail and then headed back home.

When I got home I discovered I had a letter from Chibi. I was elated. I read it and then I typed up a reply. I then proof-read the reply and write it out on black paper with my new jell pens. I even had enough time to make a MM’s Jellies doodle. That was fun. Of course the down-side to taking such measures when writing a letter means it took up nearly all the afternoon. When Mom poked her head in my room to see if I minded going to town with Dad for something, it was already 4. I checked over all the things I had and realized I’d finished the letter. So I leave the pages all there, waiting to be put into the proper envelope.

I went with Dad to Lowe’s because he too had been productive. He and Mom had bought a new stove. The problem was it was about an inch higher than the last one, so there’s a gap between the counter and the stove. Dad didn’t find anything to fill the space, but I did find some nice base-boards. We also talked about all the things we’re doing to the house, and I told Dad that I don’t really care where we live, as long as it’s not in LA. I’m sick of the hurricanes and worrying about them. And I’m not a natural worrier. I wouldn’t say that I worry about hurricanes, because I don’t. But they are something that you can’t just forget about.

Anyway. We then went to Best Buy and got a wireless router and a USB thingy to plug into old Irene. Mom and dad want to access the internet on the old computer, but they don’t want to run cords all through the walls and such, so we choose to go wireless. The problem is our old Westell doesn’t seem to be on speaking terms with the new Linksys. So we’re gonna give Bell south a call in the morning and ask if they’ve got any solutions (like sending us a new modem or something).

So after wrangling that thing for the evening, I finally to watch CSI: Miami. Great episode, even if it was a rerun. I love Horatio, and Dad hates that Mom and I like him. He thinks he’s stuck on him self, but we both tell him over and over that he’s just an actor playing a part.

I gotta say though, not all of today was a total beast. There was the time Dad and I had just gotten in from Lowe’s and Best Buy. Mom was out on the patio, and she said she was hungry, so I made us all Ramen noodle (beef for Dad, spicy chicken for Mom, and chicken for me) along with some egg rolls and tea. We sat on the back there and just ate and enjoyed the weather. The weather has been quite temperate lately. It’s hot and humid, but there’s always a breeze that keeps you a little cool. We did some bird watching as well, at least mom and I did. Mom and Dad put a little bird house in the tree that’s just off our patio and there’s a tiny sparrow and his little mate inside it. I think she’s nesting, but the house is so small that he usually wont fit in it if she’s in there, so he just hangs out on the ledge of the house outside, peeping in ever now and then. I dubbed them Vern and Shirley. Dad thought it was silly, but I like it. There’s also the hummingbirds. Mom’s got 3 feeders out and they zip on it and feed at each one. There’s two, and Mom thinks it’s a male and a female, because one’s small and has a ruby throat while the other is a tab bit larger (no humming bird is very large) and is very dark brown throughout. It was pleasant. After we sat for a while, I went and watered all the plants including my little cacti. I really should get my camera out and take some pictures. But anyway.

I found out that Lexy (my printer) has this really cool scan feature. If you have more than one page to scan, you just line them up on top, and she’ll scan them all. I had a lot of fun with scanning Chibi’s huge letter. I wanted to remember what I had said because I have a real problem with forgetting who I tell what and I hate repeating myself.

I also managed to write a little bit on my x-men fic. Nothing huge, just a little bit of the next chapter. I think I at least know where the thing is going, so I have a guide post. That’s one thing I hate about not having a set schedule. Since you have plenty of time to do anything, nothing ever gets done. I actually have to crack a whip on myself otherwise I’d never do anything. It’s sad really =.=

Oh well. I’m kinda hungry, and I heard my Mom and Dad mention that they’re having a tomato-gravy & busicuit breakfast tomorrow with a few of their elderly friends. That means it’ll be early so I’d better get as much sleep as I can...and I’ve gotta say I haven’t been having the best night sleeps lately. So goodnight!

Working on a Saturday...

Wow. Today was just...wow. Dad woke me up around 10. I ate breakfast and we headed to my bank to deposit the rent money. We then went to Wally-World to get groceries. I swear, all we had was 5 things on there. But of course we found a dozen or so other things we needed. Then we realized that some of the stuff we needed we could buy in bulk at Sam’s. So after spending money at Wally-World, we headed over to Sam’s. But we only got like 3 things there. We then sent buh his money and came home.

After unloading the groceries, I sat Dad and Mom down and watched The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe with them. My God, I love that movie. I cannot wait for Prince Caspian. But that will be coming in December of 2007 if IMDb is accurate. Dad really didn’t get it so I had to explain a lot of it to him. Mom is so focused on the fact that LWW parallels the Bible that she sometimes aggravates me. The story is teh greatest on it’s own! Anyway...

After the movie, I got to work washing; dishes and clothes mainly. I then got online and checked eBay for Corel Draw. I’d be saying to Mom that I needed to get the newer version for AMOS, but it cost like $200, and now that I’m unemployed I don’t really have that type of money. I bought it today for about $45. God, but I love eBay. However, I need to make sure that I stay away from it for another month or so; otherwise, I may end up buying more stuff and without an active source of income...well, that’d get old fast.

I had started watching The Day After Tomorrow last night. You know how it is, up and can’t get to sleep. Watch something you’ve seen a million times and hope it lulls you. So I finished watching it this afternoon. It just proves what I’ve been saying all along. We are all suckers for CGI weather graphics.

Since I have a paid account, I searched for people in my area. I actually found an old friend of mine that I’d virtually lost contact with. She’s mostly on MySpace really, but it pointed me in the right direction. So, now I’ve been messaging her with MySpace and we’ve kinda renewed ties. That’s good. It makes me feel like I actually have another friend.

Well...that’s all for now. I need to go check the clothes and then I might try taking a shower. Catch ya later, babies.

Another update

Ok. So, Mom had to go in to have a colonoscopy (sp?) done today. I’m not sure where, or exactly when it was, but I know they were up around 6:30 this morning. She’s been fasting for that past two days. Out of consideration for that, Dad decided to fast too. I got made or bought food that didn’t have much of a smell to it and just confined myself to my room. So, they leaft really early today to get that done, and I stripped all the beds and put the sheets on to wash.

I’ve been trying to keep myself busy lately...that involves a lot of getting on the AMOS to see if I can work on fan fics and getting distracted by my web site and trying to work on that while going through images of various fandoms and seeing if I can make icons out of those. I hate it when I’m busy and I don’t get much done, don’t you? Who the hell am I talking to? /shakes head anyway. This morning, while scoping the web site, and looking at images I found a few really cool people on LJ. I was looking at their journals and I was just thinking, “My God…I don’t wanna forget these people...I’d better friend them.” So I’ve increased my FL on LJ which does happen once every other blue moon or so.

Now...what am I gonna do now? Oh yeah. Now, I will go and check the washer. I’ll put on something suitable to wear to town (even though I’ve no intention of getting out of my car…thank God for drive up windows -.-), I’m gonna deposit the rent money into my bank, and then I’ll go get some KFC for Mom. She said yesterday that she wanted KFC mashed potatoes and gravy with some chicken. You know, you never notice how many food commercials there are till you start a fast...or till someone in your house has to at least. Ok so. That’s it for now. Later!

Laid back Saturday

Well, today certainly started out earlier than I would’ve wanted, but it was a good day. Started out going to Chibi’s. We were going to wait for Reiko to give her those birthday presents we got here. I got there around 9, and when 10:30 rolled around and Reiko was a no show, I called and found out she had spent the night at a friend’s house. So, Chibi and I watched the third episode of Firefly and then we had hot chocolate and she packed, and I left. I got home, played City of Heroes, leveled a few characters on a few server, watched the rest of Batman and that was my day. Not very thrilling was it? Oh well. There’s so much more drama when I’m at work.

6 a.m. always comes early so I’d best be off to bed. I hope Chibi and her parents have a safe drive up there and back again. Goodnight, all.

What brought this on?!

Wowey-wow, wow, wow. Today was long and tiring but very good. I talked with the Boss-Lady and she said she definitely wanted my resume and she wanted to hire another ‘temp-worker’ to work specifically on phones so that I could specifically do typing. Which is good. There were so many times I wish I’d brought a notebook because either I didn’t have anything to type or the phones just weren’t ringing. I really don’t like doing phones either, but I can do it. When I told them that I didn’t enjoy doing the phones, they’d have the other girl do the phones while I typed stuff. That’s cool.

So, 8 hours a week working 5 days a week and making $7 an hour...that’s $280 a week...4 weeks in the month, that’s $1,120 a month...and 12 months in the year...wow. Of course I’m not taking out the bit that the staffing place will take for the first three months and taxes. Now ya’ll know why I don’t like thinking about money. I get too far ahead of myself.

Ok, so after I got home from work I took a shower, and then Mom and Dad and I ate. We then went to the mall to a store for plus sizes. I’m not huge by any means, but I’m too big to shop in most stores and find something that I actually like. So, it just makes me a bit more comfortable to shop in said stores. We got a few more items of business clothing that will look very nice.

We then turned around and came home. And I got on my computer only to find everything different...I nearly pitched a fit (or at least I would’ve if I hadn’t been so tired)! The theme was different, the settings were all different, none of the things I’d set up to show on the start menu were there, none of the Microsoft software was showing up in icons (it’s all word pad icons and nothing for the excel stuff), and the worst part is IncrediMail had to completely reinstall itself! I now have none of my addresses or folders. All those important files I had that had passwords and links to place; they’re gone. I have no idea how that happened or why. It totally burns me up though! Now I can’t e-mail people because I can’t remember their addresses off the top of my head like that! I think it did that a few months back, but I can’t remember if I resolved it, or if it was only a temporary thing. So aggravating.

All right. I’m gonna go and print out a copy of my resume and then I’m off to bed. Goodnight everyone.
