X-Men Movies

2011-Sep-07, Wednesday 11:41 am
msmoon: (XME - Antisocial)
Sooooo... yeah. I've been stewing on this for a while. I have the X-Men movies, because I really want to support the fandom and all... but I have a couple of issues with them. So here it is. Now that it's out, I'll just move along with my life :)

msmoon: (Firefly - Misbehave)
Barely edited and nearly uncensored :) The panel called "The Best There is at What We Do" with Scott McNeil and Steve Blum. This is the first of 8 parts...

I apologize for the horrible camera quality. I had 2 cameras and switched to the better one for the final 2 videos. It didn't help that I was seated pretty far back. I advise you to watch this in a small format :3

X-men First Class

2011-Jun-14, Tuesday 03:40 pm
msmoon: (XME - Antisocial)
So, I finally managed to pry myself out of the house. Instead of just going to the movies and going home, something interesting (and totally unexpected) akshully happened o..o I met a couple of people that were a little like me :D

Ok... so I've had time. In fact... I've sorta been putting it off, but it's really time to state my opinion of the Wolverine movie...

All things considered, this movie is... good. The lead actors were great. Hugh Jackman is always a pleasure to watch and Liev Schreiber was fantastic really. I did sorta miss Tyler Mane (but more because he was so effin hot and just awesome), but Liev represented Sabertooth really well... at least I thought. The only other actor I can mention is Taylor Kitsch... and I have to say, you were perfect in the New Orleans scene... but what happened afterwards, dude? I mean, your accent was perfect during the whole card dealing thing....then it disappeared. Also, I miss the Gambit eyes. I hope, if Gambit is in a movie later on, his eyes are the way they're supposed to be.

NOW ... here comes the bad news... )

I'm kinda hoping this'll be like... like the Hulk. You know, there was really nothing wrong with that movie. But it kinda fell flat. But then, the second one, The Incredible Hulk followed, and it was so awesome. I know they're making a Deadpool movie and I've heard there is a second Wolverine movie... so, I'm really hoping the next ones are good, because this one just didn't do it for me.

So, the things that I never talked about that happened yesterday (which, to me, are of great significance) would have to be A) Alicia and I were left alone, unsupervised and as the general teachers of the youth class (consisting at that time of solely Takara & Lamarr); And B) Jim & Reiko went to see Star Trek and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Now... admittedly, the thing with Reiko and Jim going to the movies, isn't huge. I mean, Reiko called me to tell me that they were going out on a full-day date and then to see the two movies... dinner was at Lone Star (celebrating the fact that she is not a Mother) followed by the movies. She also called to tell me Happy Mother's day...since... I dunno, she sorta sees me as a Mom-ish figure. Jim made a side-comment that I was a MILF (which, if as endearing as Jim gets, and since I know him I actually said, 'Aw, thanks'... is that messed up or what?). Later, she called to report on the movies. She reported that Star Trek was awesome and I had to see it. I asked what Jim thought, and he said it was awesome, so that confirmed it. Reiko doesn't always have the best of taste, so... always good to seek a second opinion. And Jim's a self-respecting Geek, like me, and I know if a movie based on a fandom he likes is made and he likes it... then it's cool. Later, they kept texting me though the Wolverine movie, asking questions and very confused. I explained a few things, and later, I got a call from Jim (trying to disguise his voice). He reported that they basically butchered the original Wolverine story line and threw in a ton of stuff that wasn't really supposed to be there. Now, I'm trying to stay neutral till I see the movie but... his bad opinion of it, concerns me.

Now we move on to the second thing. The thing that really concerns me. Someone actually left unsupervised minors in my care. I mean, I know I told Pastor Sam that I wouldn't mind teaching the Youth with Alicia... but that wasn't supposed to be till July. Now, it didn't really bother me, because it was Takara and Lamarr, so they didn't really expect much of us. In fact, I think they enjoyed the casual break. And we got so busy talking, it was half-way through the class before we realized our teacher wasn't going to be there. We really didn't know what to do, so we just kept the whole thing loose. I mean, we hadn't even discussed what we might like to teach on when we do get the class.

So, since we had no lesson plan, we randomly quizzed them on insipid Bible facts while talking about various things that interest them (how many books are in the Bible? What's the shortest verse in the Bible? etc.) I learned that Takara is a reader. She's read some of Harry Potter and all of Stephenie Merey's Twilight books. I also learned that Lamarr's current obsession is Transformers and the new movie coming out. Don't mention it, don't even hint about it, because he will pounce on it and run! All I had to do was mention to Alicia that the second Transformers movie was coming out this summer... that's all. He spent the rest of our time together conveying his knowledge of the upcoming movie, rumors pertaining to the upcoming movie, and singing the old Transformers theme song. And, if ever there was a quiet moment, he would just say "Transformers! Revenge of the Fallen!" It was... a little awkward, but somewhat endearing in a way.

So, I'm gonna be meeting with Alicia.... Thursday, I believe is when we said. So, I'm gonna ask her what she thinks of our lessons consisting of a Bible Trivia game... it'd be more fun, I think. I know we have a game like that around here. Dad says he knows where it is. It's like a board game we used to play all the time. It was fun. It'd give the kids a break without being meaningless. They may learn stuff, right? And it's important for kids to have fun. So that'd probably be a great idea. I'll have to ask Alicia first.

...well, that's all I wanted to say. Tomorrow, I go around and apply at places... again. And there's...other stuff I have to do that eludes my memory at this moment. Anyway, I have to get it done....might as well close this entry out before today becomes tomorrow. Later, Sunshines :)

Counting Down...

2009-Feb-25, Wednesday 10:50 pm
msmoon: (Uh...)

Tonight, after our Bible study was essentially over, our pastor says, “Well! It’s the 25th of February! Ya’ll know what that means....” and we all sort of looked about at one another, wondering if today was a holiday or some event that we’d somehow forgotten. Then, he follows up with,

“Only 10 more months till Christmas!!!!” and we’re like o..o...^..^...=..= He continued to mention announcements, and at the end of them I asked, “And you will keep us all appraised of the approaching Christmas situation?” and he grinned and nodded....our pastor’s a nut :D

/sigh. what else? Oh. Interview went well....I think. You never really can tell until you get a call (...or not). The good doctor and his wife/office manager, Mrs. Soma (funny that I’d be working for a Soma :D) are both Indian (not Native American, mind you, but actually of Indian ethnicity ^..^) and they seem genuine and nice people. Aside from them there is only one other girl, the receptionist. So, a small business but that means less drama. I found out there’s two other doctor’s offices back there with them (they’re sorta hidden >..>). I was advised to call them next week to remind them of my interest in the position and I would be contacted....if I don’t get this job, I will definitely be going about to all the doctor’s offices and just handing out resumes =..=

PS: So, I finally got Mom to watch X-Men and tonight X-Men 2, and she's actually really enjoying them. It all started when Hugh Jackman hosted the Oscars and was on Oprah the next day, and I told her that he was in the X-Men series as Wolverine and would be in another movie concerning his origin this year sometime. So, she wanted to see the previous movies (The X-Men Series) that he's been in so she'd understand the new one better next time. /looks this way and that, then whispers. I think my Mom has a crush on Hugh Jackman XD! I can't wait to see the Origins movie! ...and the next Transformers movie...and Watchmen ....and...probably several others O..o; What are some movies that ya'll can't wait to see? :D

msmoon: (Firefly - Going mad)
Saturday. Today started out ok I guess. Mom and I woke up late. I should say that I woke up late. I’d had a terrible leg cramp that night. It was so bad that I couldn’t lay on my back with my calf touching anything. So when I finally got to sleep, I slept hard. We headed to the Bank for Mom first because she had to send Bub some money (again). Then she got a Wal-Mart money gram, while I got my bangs cut. We looked around at some other stuff (mostly computer/video games and DVD camcorders), but we only got a few things that we knew we needed. Still ended up being over $50 somehow …and they say Wal-Mart is the one with the low prices. After that we went to Books-A-Million...just to look around I guess. I saw some interesting D&D books that I wanted to add to my wish list. Dragon Compendium, Magic of Incarnum, and Complete Mage all looked really interesting to me. But then, I like all of the D&D books, so I’m biased. Then we headed home. Mom was feeling really sick, and I wasn’t feeling much better really. We got home, watched The Pacifier and promptly konked out. At least, Mom did. She was really feeling like she was getting a virus or something. I watched The Soup and started watching Wolf’s Rain. Why do I bother with Wolf’s Rain? Sure, it’s beautiful and wonderful but the ending is agony…/shrugs. Oh well. Now we both feel really sick with the virus =_= Oh well. Final Destination & Final Destination 2 is on…and I’m in the mood for a laugh.

Ok, so after watching FD1 & 2 and I have to say…I don’t think I’ve laughed this much watching the Sci Fi channel since they showed Jeepers Creepers 2. Did anyone else see Jeepers Creepers 2? That was hysterical!! Oh! At the end of FD2, when they all think it’s over and they’re bar-b-queing with those farmer folks that they took the car from. And the farm kid says that he nearly got killed by the news van and then goes over to the grill, and the two people look over expectantly and then the grill explodes! Right as the woman started screaming, I heard Ruby says “Death’s back, bitches.” It was so freakn’ funny! Though the likenesses between the people in the first movie and second movie are scary. Eugene and Carter are alike in that they’re non-believers that wanna go out on their own terms and make a big show about killing themselves even though they don’t get the chance to. Kim’s like Alex because of the premonitions I suppose. Clair’s herself, but that police officer dude reminds me of her in the fact that he’s supporting Kim. Oh, and the stoner dude reminds me of Hitchcock...the business chick reminds me of that preppy girl that got run over by the buss, and the mom and her kid kinda remind me of the Teacher and Todd from the first movie. Clair finally died though... Funny no? You know, I don’t find horror movies in general to be funny, it’s just teen-horror movies if you know what I mean. The more teens involved the funnier it is for some odd reason. I guess it’s because they’re so stupid...I mean, not the movies but the teens in them. I remember watching The Ring and that wasn’t stupid or funny. Jeepers Creepers the first movie, was very creepy, which is what they wanted I imagine. But it wasn’t funny, it was freaky-creepy. So, does anyone have any other teen-horror movies that are stupid funny that I can add to this list’o’mine. Maybe the subject shouldn’t be teen horror movies, but rather things that are taken seriously that are completely laughable.

Oh, and as a bonus, I got to see Village of the Damned which is the movie version of The Midwich Cuckoos. I’d become interested in the book when I learned about the Stepford Cuckoos from X-Men. I was debating on whether or not to watch it, and I even left the room for a second to go and get something, then I came back in and all the people just dropped and I thought “Hmm...this reminds me of The Midwich Cuckoos book…” then I saw the sign that said “Midwich 7” and was like “Dude!!!” So of course, I had to watch it. After that I was like “Um, is that Kristi Alley? God she’s hot...” and then “OMG! That’s Mark Hamil!! I am so not worthy...” and lastly “It’s Christopher Reeves…*sniffles*” Although, I gotta say, I don’t know if in the book the alien kids were actually kids. On the cover of the book I saw, it looked like young adults to me...but the movie was creepier if only because creepy kids like that are so much scarier than anything else science fiction can throw at me O_O Little David was awfully cute though...

Also, Sci Fi has been running the Arby’s commercial where there are 3 construction workers sitting on break, and two foxy ladies walk by and they say nothing, then they start cat-calling at a balding guy in a suit because he has an Arby’s bag and I’ve laughed myself into a headache at least 3 times from it. Then again, they’ve been running the Eregon (which I can’t wait to see) commercial, The Lost Room commercial and the ED commercial…I’m getting sick of the last two in that list =.= Though that Staples commercial with the gift panel is funny when you see different ones. Oh! And that World of Warcraft commercial! Where this guy is actually sitting at his cubical at work playing WoW, and some guy walks up and says “How are you doing? Are you gonna have that report done for us by this afternoon?” and the WoW dude says “No. In fact, I’m gonna have to ask you to just come back another time. I got a meeting with the Bobs in a couple of minutes.” And the narrator says “Somewhere you’d rather be?” that was so cool! I don’t know how many times I wished I could play WoW at work =___=

Guilty Pleasure. Ok, I have a confession to make. I’ve discovered my very first guilty pleasure. The truth is that I really don’t feel guilty about most of the things that I enjoy doing. Even if most/some people don’t consider them right, fun or cool. I argue that if it doesn’t take insane domination over my life and gives me pleasure, it’s just fine. But I have discovered one thing that I think is very not right and in fact it makes me feel a bit guilty that it gives me pleasure……I love...watching The Girls Next Door on E!. Do not ask me why, but I find their inane prattling hilarious. In fact, if I see that there running it on E!, I’ll sit and watch it...even if it’s reruns. I find myself very ashamed that I enjoy watching these girls considering that they’re the exact opposite of everything I consider important. But Alas, it’s true. I enjoy watching the blond bimbos.

AMOS. Even without the internet, AMOS is still behaving terribly. It takes 2 minutes to pull start things that used to take nanoseconds. I think Scamp mentioned something about Memory and I’m beginning to wonder if maybe that might be it….I’ve got hundreds of World of Warcraft pictures too, that could be it. I wish I could figure out how to get WoW to convert the images to jpeg files. Then I wouldn’t have to convert them, I’d just burn them to CD when they get to be too much. But it can’t be just that. I had at least 300 pics of Shenna alone on my PC when I played EverQuest, and I had about 80 characters...I’ve only got 5 warcraft characters. So it can’t be just the WoW pics. I just can’t figure out what to do and that frustrates me so =_____=

Oh! My Mom made the most wonderful mistake anyone can make! She was grocery shopping while I was at work and bought me another bag of coffee, only she bought coffee beans! I was so excited because with my bullet blender and all, I can effectively grind coffee beans into powder! I’ve always wanted to grind my own coffee beans. I’d only heard that it makes the coffee so much better. And boy did it ever. I am so glad she made that mistake, and I hope that we can make it more often.

I’m boared...I wanna play Katamari...and talk with Scamp...and hang out with my ‘Mouto-chans...Grr.

Harvest Moon

Con time!

Beware, for I am: Image hosted by Photobucket.com Excited

I finally did it. That’s right. I finally paid my way for MechaCon. I had been fretting about it for a while. Putting off purchasing it because I wasn’t sure if I’d have the money. But I realized, I have a little over $600 in my savings. So I transferred $300 over to checkings and then bought pre-registration pass and the hotel room. It came to a little over $200 for the total. So now, I fully intend to transfer at least $50 a check to savings and empty all but $100 into checkings the day before I go. That’ll give me plenty of spending money. I’m so excited!!!!

/sigh Now that I’ve got that out of the way. I’d like to apologize for my ranting over the X3 movie. I know it’s just a movie, but the other two rocked so much. I mean, sure there were a few things in there that just didn’t really go (like the fact that Lady Deathstrike was considered a mutant and she wasn’t in any other version!), but I’ve decided that I’m over the whole thing. Sure, it didn’t come out at all the way I wanted it, but I’ve been reassured that all is not lost. There will be at least the supposed Wolverine spin off. And of course let’s not forget that they supposedly made the last Superman movie ages ago, and yet we’ve got another one coming soon. So, anything’s possible na no da. I was just disappointed. However, I still intend to ignore the third movie in my X-men fan fic. There were just too many things that I don’t agree with to bother putting them into my story (like the Phoenix being a dual personality of Jean’s. How dare they demean the Phoenix like that!!)

In other news, the box set of Fruits Baskets arrived today and I’m now on the second DVD in the set! I love it so much...it’s just way too up lifting and funny not to adore. Plus I <3 Kyo! Of course that means I haven’t watched any of Firefly yet =_____= Gomen ne, Chibi-chan! But anime must come before wicked sci fi. Priorities and all. But I’ll get to it soon enough.

Well, the pills are kicking in. I’ve done everything that was meant to do today. Goodnight!

Sweet Exhaustion

msmoon: (Slayers - Hissyfit)

Beware, for I am: Sleepy Sleepy

Huh...what a day. Woke up at 9 to have breakfast and clean up a bit. Then I headed to town to get candy and buy tickets for X-men 3. Chibi showed up and I got us a medium root beer because I’d gotten Pocky and my favorite caramel treasures candies, but I didn’t get a drink. So we shared that. We laughed at the movie previews, and agreed that we have more movies that we must go and see (Superman, My Super-X-Girl Friend, and that new Fast and Furious that’s set in Japan ^___^). Then the movie started. We were enthralled for the entire time...and then...the disappointment.

Don’t read. Spoilers. )

/sighs I feel much better now that I’ve ranted about all that. All in all, the acting was great, the effects were great, everything the actors did was great...I just hated the story line and ending! I mean really...It’s not too much to ask that they follow the story line is it? And don’t go saying ‘this is the last one’ and leave so many things unfinished. But, now I’ve spoken and will now let it go (or try to).

The rest of the day was fun. Chibi and I ate a taco bell and then I took her back to her house. We made a actual video review of ourselves with my camera and watched another episode of Firefly. Pretty sure it was the Shindig episode. Pretty cool. They really need to have more of River in there. But she loaned me the box set so that I could watch it. It always seems like we can never watch it entirely whenever she’s in. Maybe I’ll have better luck on my own.

Then I came home and Mom and I decided to go out and rent some movies. We got The Family Stone, Last Holiday, and March of the Penguins. We watched the first two but we’re not sure if we’ll get to see the Penguins. Or at least, not together. They have to be back by 6 tomorrow. I could watch it before I leave tomorrow, but Mom’s gonna be out doing her rounds. So she could watch it when she gets back.../shrug. Guess we didn’t plan that one out too well.

Well. I best be going to bed now. It’s back to the daily grind tomorrow. ‘Night ya’ll.

What Do You Need in Your Life? [dark pics]

You need understanding.

In your life there has been many people that could never seem too comprehend

What a doozie....

Beware, for I am: Productive Productive

Whoa...what a rollercoaster. Ok, church this morning was good in the fact that I had to stay for the 10:30 song service to do sound. Now usually I’d be kinda freaked about it, but I actually wasn’t feeling too bad. And then, I rocked the house. For some odd reason I’m always intimidated by the other services. I guess it’s because they’re supposed to have more to them and be more complicated. I always think I wont be able to do them well, but when I did the song service this morning, and it sounded good, I felt so good.

We then went to Piccadilly and ate. I had the fried butterfly shrimp with green been casserole, Neptune salad (a constant. I'm a sucker for crab meat) and a roll. The casserole wasn’t that great...but everything else was pretty good. And I got a cell-phone photo of Aunt Batty to go with her name. Sweet.

Came home and immediately conked out. I started hurting, and with food in my belly and all it was no contest. I woke up later (around 4ish) and I was feeling really weird. I rewatched Legend...I still think that Darkness is really hot. The voice alone, man...But anyway.

I then realized I hadn’t done any work on my fics. So I hurriedly got online...and looked at journals and fan fiction for a couple of hours ---_____---- sheesh. Finally, I managed to limit the distractions and hunker down for some serious work. But man...it seems like the work is endless here. I’ve got the rough draft down, but I really want to go over it a few more times...it’s like 1,000+ words past the word limit that I put, but it’s still not good enough. This one promises to be a doozie.

Oh, also, I called Chibi and Reiko tonight. Chibi wants to go see X3 tomorrow, but Reiko’s got work. But I can’t go see the movie any other time during the week (at least not comfortably), so Chibi and I are gonna go and then I’ll talk with Chibi about getting together again later in the week. We have to hurry up with that because Reiko will be leaving us this Saturday for Kentucky...and Chibi’s leaving for Switzerland ===____==== Geeze. Oh well, we’ll figure it out.

Ok...I’m hungry and it’s late. Goodnight!

Beware, for I am: Pleased Pleased

Hope everyone enjoyed that crazy fact filled post. I know I did.

Today work was huge. Let’s just say, I earned my shower today, ok people. I’m mainly in charge of filing things right? Well our filing cabinets are located in the ‘storage room’ which is secret code for the sweat box unfinished area that will be another office. So there’s no air conditioner and it’s hot no matter what you do. I have a fan that blows on me constantly, and I’m always soaked when I come out. Well I’m feeling fairly good since I’ve got half a box left before I’m done filing all the old files. Then I look over in the corner, under some wall decorations and other misc boxes, and after some heavy digging I find about 16 more boxes full of files...I asked Nick which files need filing and the reply was ‘any that aren’t stamped Complete…aka...all of them. ---___--- Yeah. But then I bucked up and just went to work. I filed, I charted, I copied, I filed some more and then I swept and I was home.

Watched Mona Lisa Smile tonight on TV. It was good all over again. It’s one of those movies that makes you very grateful for how far we’ve come and it makes you appreciate all the fights those women had to fight to get our rights for us. I’d seen it ages ago with Mom at the theater. That kinda brought me back. It feels like it’s been ages since I went to the theater. The Palace that is. I can’t wait to go back and see X3 whenever I can. I’m hoping me and the ‘Mouto-chans can pull that off some time this coming week.

Speaking of the ‘Mouto’s, Reiko dropped by to get her graduation present. It finally came in this afternoon with the mail now if only the damn Fruit’s Baskets would get here, then all would be well. She was very very excited. I got her the fourth volume of MeruPuri and the first volume of Fushigi Yugi: Genbu Kaiden...and they’re both in English -.- Yeah...Chibi kinda gets into a bad habit of buying Japanese Manga...in the original Japanese language. I’m a fan of Japan and all, but I still can’t read Japanese, yo. I can’t even really speak Japanese. I mean, sure, I can cuss people out, and I can say token phrases, but unless I get into a conversation with a Japanese cab driver, what good will that do me? /takes a breath Man...that was a long sentence...So, Reiko’s graduated (did so on the 24) and Chibi should be coming back soon. Can’t wait. I need my fix, man.../twitch twitch.

I was looking at this picture from Pirates of the Caribbean – Dead Man’s Chest, and I couldn’t help but notice that Johnny and Orly look great and rugged and the pictures are so cool..and Kera looks the same. It’s like almost the same pose as from the last one. At least the wet Orlando’s hair and sopped it around his face and put a back light on him and played heavenly music, but Kera looks almost exactly like she did from the first movie...Gotta love this piccy too. I love that the doll hanging from the skull’s dreadlock, dangly thing is like a unhappy voodoo doll of Captain Jack ^___^

Well that’s enough gabbing about movies. Mom and I kinda have plans all made up for parts of this weekend. Tomorrow we’ll sleep in. Then we can go to town, shop a bit, see the sights, have a pedicure (she’s been wanting to do that with me for ages now =_=), and we’re gonna go see Eight Below at the dollar theater. Then we’ll do some grocery shopping and be home. Sunday’s got no plans tacked to it, and even though I know it’s a tad unrealistic, I’m hoping to work on some of my fan fictions (it’s a damn good thing I wrote down all sorts of ideas while I was in college and typed them up. Otherwise I’d have nothing, and the end of the month would come and I’d be like “Ahh! Need write chapters!” But anyway.) Monday I’m kinda hoping to spend with Chibi and/or Reiko. For parts of the day that is. Just to have some fun. Because I think Reiko’s leaving for Kentucky someone tell me what’s in Kentucky worth seeing again? in like a week from tomorrow...uh…today...Uh. It’s the third --___-- So yeah. And then Chibi’s headed off to Switzerland that same week too. So...yeah. We have to manage our time wisely. But Mom and I have agreed to go rent some movies for that night and pop some popcorn and watch them together and have a girl’s night. That’ll be fun. I really hate that I’m not spending as much time with Mom these days...but work does that /shrug.

Well I’m off to bed now. G’night

Beware, for I am: Sleepy Sleepy

Wow. This whole week just sort of flew by...which is good considering all the things that happened at work.

Monday: Met L. The other girl that works in the clerical department with me.
Tuesday: Worked by myself for an hour and a half since C had a family emergency.
Wednesday: Repeat of Teusday only more working with the innumerable amount of files and where they should be places.
Thursday: Actually had someone to work with for the latter part of the day, but didn’t really notice as I was so busy with the files in the sweat-box of a room they use for storage.
Friday: Repeat of Thursday, only with a definite sense of confidence in what I was doing with the files. The files are now my territory be-yotch.

So yeah. Work’s been very busy. Which is really good. I get there. I do stuff. Time files. I leave.

I’d really like to talk about the whole X2 thing that happened tonight. So, Fox decided to show X2, and they built up that they were gonna show you exclusive, never-before-seen footage for X3, right? Or at least that’s the general impression I got. So, I’m setting there, taping the thing, just in case I should miss something. There are barely any intrusions from Sir. Ian and Mr. Grammer and the ones that are there are hardly what one would call exclusive. I mean, they showed thing you all ready know...Colossus? Juggernaut? Beast? Shadowcat?..that’s what you’re gonna tell us about? Man...What Fox should have said is “The Exclusive, Never-before-seen footage ...if you don’t have the internet and have somehow lived in a cave for the past decade…will air on Fox with the television premier of X2.” Tsk tsk, Fox. Tsk Tsk.

Other than that...I have nothing else. [livejournal.com profile] labile’s an amazing artist (check the massive use of a’s in there). I need to work more on my fan fics. Gotta buy more clothes tomorrow for work. That’s it. Stick a fork in me.

Today’s events...

Get up.
Drop car off at body shop.
check in with Dad.
go home to shower
do hair for work
eat
go to work.
make charts
fax
make more charts
come home
eat
rewatch Thir13en Ghosts because of all the parts I missed last night
watch The Soup that I taped this afternoon
Check the dates and info on Mecha Con.

...I’m kinda restless and board, and I don’t know what I want to do. Sucks.

On a good note, Dad came home today. He says he feels so much better, but he gets tired quickly. We keep telling him that’s a sign that he needs to slow down. He just got out of the hospital after all.

I think I’m gonna go rewatch X-men Evolution...because I really can’t muster up the enthusiasm to do anything on the computer...Later.

Beware, for I am: Content Content

Ok, so this morning got up, went to church, Bro. Gary Sap was there. He used to be the director for the LA youth conventions...I remember when we made him shave him shave his head...Man...teens are so easily amused.

Anyway. After coming home and eating, I worked a bit on the web site. Mostly just the Written Word section. I’ve been making a table for my main content to go in and then having a background image inside that table. Then I’ve been putting the chapters in a white table and having a black background. Well, I decided to actually make a few backgrounds for the EQ Saga that’d go instead of the drab old black background. Then it got to be like, 30+ backgrounds /rolls eyes. So then I went and got some X-men backgrounds from the X3 web site, and I decided to use those for the Different from Me chapters. So that sections is all but done. No more worky on that section. I think the only thing I really have left to do is order the movies, tv, anime, and toons lists and give summaries of why I liked certain things, and the whole links section needs serious work. I’ve almost got Toons and Anime done. Gargoyles has been done as well. So, really all I have to is TV and Movies. Movies in itself will be huge because I have such a huge list of movies that I’ve seen/want/like/hate etc. Obsessive? I think so.

So then...I vegged out a bit. You know...just laid in bed for a long time thinking about where I could go with fics and other such stuff. And just thought, you know? I like to just think with no particular goal in mind from time to time.

Then I gave mom a pedicure because they’ll be leaving tomorrow, and I can’t very well send her out without giving her the professional toe treatment ^__^. Oh, and Reiko came over just as I was finishing up. She asked my Dad if he wanted her to do his toe nails, and he said, “Sure, let me go and clean them.” And he went in the other room and got the toe-nail that had fallen off when we went to Toad Suck to visit my cousins =__= Strange sense of humor runs in this family, na no da. I bet you might get pretty grossed out by that. You’d probably prefer that I just stop right there, because things just couldn’t get weirder, right?

If so, don’t read beyond this point )

Then Reiko got on her MySpace and I showed her something that I’d only discovered about an hour before she got there. I saw the cutest little hamham (hamster) video on there, and when I went to the person’s page I found that it was a page for the hamster, albeit organized by the hamster’s owner. I then stumbled upon the S. S. H.. Apparently it’s a MySpace community just for rodents...Hamster, chinchillas, gerbils, etc. Now, while it did gain me two new spots on my MySpace friend’s list...I must say I find it a bit...interesting. I mean...these people have either made their pet the main character on their MySpace or they’ve just made a whole MySpace page for their pet...interesting. That’s all I have to say about that. As a result of these people and their overwhelmingly cute pets, I now cannot get the Hamester Dance remix song out of my head...and I'm no longer certain that I want to.

Aw, cripes! I really have to get Reiko to show me that button thing again. It was histericle. But anyway. Shower’s taken, pills are kicking in, and I’m getting up early to see the rents off on their grand adventure to Arkansas. Goodnight.

Beware, for I am: Calm Calm

Wow. Today was a flurry of things. I woke up and it was almost 12. I was like O___o. So was my mom come to think of it.

But anyway. I hadn’t gotten to sleep till late (thanks so much, insomnia). I realized that I’d been reading and forgetting the time. Then when I finally did go to bed, I realized that today would be the 4th, meaning that the next chapter in the EQ Saga was due Friday. I kinda freaked because even though I had the chapter put together the way I wanted it, I hadn’t proofread it. So there’s little guessing as to what I planed on doing today.

But there were a few kinks in that plan. First off, Mom wanted some help ‘straightening up’ the house. I don’t mind that in the least. I stripped my bed and put the sheets on, made my bed with fresh sheets, picked up around my room, cleaned my bathroom, and then I vacuumed the living room. Mom and I finally put up the last little Asian art thingy for the set that I have on my wall. I think it looks really nice considering that it’s on a wall that’s all bowed out =__=.

behold )

But anyway.

Then I got out my papers and started proofreading. I had both stories to think about. Both the EQ Saga and Different from Me needed updating. So, I proofread both of those and then I helped Mom clean off the carport so that she could wash it down and pour cleaner on the concrete. I tell you, my Mom likes things being orderly and clean. And she everything she cleans, she cleans completely. None of this half-way crap that others may give you. Oh no. My Mom’s sister didn’t nickname her Clorox Bleach for no reason.

So after that, Reiko came over to check her MySpace and chat as usual. She told me her mom would be leaving Tuesday to go out of town for something, and she wanted a place to crash that’d have some fun company. I told her my parents were leaving Tuesday to go to Arkansas, so I would have 2 beds free if she wanted to occupy one. So she shall be staying next week. Mom had fixed some hot wings and some corn on the cob, and Reiko hadn’t eaten so we offered her some food and of course...she took it. So after she ate and we gabbed a bit more she left.

Then it was back to working. I read over what I proofread and then I made sure everything was working to the best of my knowledge, then I htmled the chapters. I already posted the next chapter in the Different from Me story line. Then I htmled the next chapter in the EQ Saga. But it was getting kinda late, so Mom called me in to watch CSI. Man, I love that show. Don't ask me why. I guess it's because I understand it, and that makes me feel smart. Not that I feel smarter for watching it. I just feel smart because I can understand what's going on. But anyway.

After watching CSI and taking a shower, I loaded it on to FF.net, but I didn’t post it. So tomorrow, I’ll go ahead and post it.

I was thinking of going over to FF.net to read some fan fiction (what else does one do when they go over to FF.net?), but it’s already late and Mom needs me to get up early and drive her to pick up her car from the auto shop tomorrow. So, I shall be off to bed. Goodnight.

Ok, so we’re supposed to be getting some really bad weather in, so I figured I’d do a hurried post now. Things to touch on today.

  • Woke up early to get a hair cut. I now have bangs and am about an centimeter lighter all around.
  • Enjoyed Chibi’s post. She seems to be posting more often and that’s a good thing.
  • Watched X-Men 1.5 & X2.
  • Enjoyed watching the crazy bonus footage when Reiko dropped by (for all of 2 seconds) to check her MySpace. Reiko then dashed off to get ready for Prom. I believe she’s fairly addicted.
  • Wrote a little more in Different From Me.

    That’s all for now. Later!

Other than the rain, there was very little that happened today. I surfed around the ‘net, and watched X-men: Evolution again. The latter of which inspired me to write a tinsy bit more in my Different from Me story...but nothing worth showing yet. Not enough words, not enough content, yada yada.

Tried to watch last night’s episode (or at least what I caught on tape) of Supernatural. So aggravated with the WB for that. They interrupted the show and were showing a rerun of that American Inventor show. Now, that show’s plenty funny, but still when I wanna watch Supernatural and something’s on in its place, it’s just aggravating. I did manage to get, like, the last 20 minutes of the show...which isn’t nearly enough! Especially since they were dealing with Vampires. The whole Vampire mystique and I missed the first 40 minutes of it? And I’d actually tuned in, so it wasn’t even my fault! /sighs I cannot wait till this comes to DVD box set, just so I can buy it and fill in all the things I’ve missed.

Well...I suppose that’s all. Chibi says she’s doing a little better, but then her attitude always seems to make things a bit easier. I gotta go shower, and then there’s the wedding to go to tomorrow.

    I'm a Troll!

The vicious Jungle Trolls, who populate the numerous islands of the South Seas, are renowned for their cruelty and dark mysticism. Barbarous and superstitious, the wily Trolls carry a seething hatred for all other races. One tribe, however, was forced to overcome its prejudices when it encountered the Orc Warchief, Thrall, and his mighty Horde. The Trolls of the Darkspear tribe, long since exiled from their ancestral lands in Stranglethorn Vale, were nearly destroyed by a band of aquatic Murlocs, but Thrall and the Horde managed to save them. In return the grateful Trolls swore an oath of eternal allegiance to the Horde. Led by the cunning Shadow Hunter, Vol'jin, the Darkspear Trolls now make their home in Durotar along with their Orcish allies. Their village, named after their fallen tribal elder, Sen'jin, lies along the eastern coast of the harsh, rocky land. The Darkspear tribe also occupies tracks within the nearby jungles of the Echo Isles. As part of the Horde, the Trolls have extended their loyalty to the mighty Tauren, but they have little trust for the manipulative Forsaken, whom they believe will visit only misery and strife upon their allies.
