msmoon: (Supernatural - no good)
Wow. MM has been a very bad LJ girl. Bad MM. I’ve been meaning to post, I just never have worked up the proper enthusiasm for it. And I’ve been writing e-mails like crazy to Gillian, and on a working day, I can only focus my energy on one thing; writing her a e-mail or posting. Don’t ask for both na no da. So, updates and changes...let’s see...

Well, I’ve added on a few more Icons because I’m just nerdy that way. I also found the cutest mood icons hidden away in the recesses of AMOS. I guess I must’ve found them as a zip at one time and downloaded them with the intent of putting them on and then forgot about them. Problem is, I’ve no idea who made them in the first place. So, thank whoever you are from bringing the kawaii blobs back. I’m enjoying them very much.

I’ve been watching Lord of the Rings again. With my work schedule and all, it’s taken me a week to get to The Two Towers. Isn’t that just depressing? But then I’ve been watching all the bonus footage. And when I say all, I mean all.

In other news, I’ve been ripping all my CDs and putting all of my music on my computer. Why? Because I’m a paranoid nerd like that. Go figure. Also, my parents bought me Easy Media Creator 8 today for my birthday. Mom said she had no idea what to get me so she just wanted me to go with them and pick out what I wanted. So I did. Speaking of Birthdays, I have Gillian’s, Chibi’s and Reiko’s birthday presents. All I need to worry about now is my Twin’s. Which isn’t much of a worry since I’ve a pretty good idea what I’m gonna get her. You know, it’d be so much easier if everyone in the world had an Amazon.com wish list. Chibi always makes it extraordinarily easy for me to buy her things if only because she has a wish list with Amazon. Moving on...Oh, you know what? Gillian’s birthday is right around Thanksgiving, so if we end up getting together for Thanksgiving with our families like we’ve been hoping we would, I could actually give her her present…that’s be so cool!

Other than all that, not much is really going on. Other than me starving...which really doesn’t make sense when you consider that I’ve got a steak from Applebee’s sitting in the refrigerator...I think I hear it calling my name...So, till next time!

On This Day: Saturday September 23, 2006

This is the 266th day of the year, with 99 days remaining in 2006.

Fact of the Day: checkers

One of the oldest board games in the world is checkers. Checkers is played by two people with 24 playing pieces on a board with 64 light and dark squares. Early games similar to checkers date back to ancient Egypt (c. 1600 BC). There is even a reference to a checkers-like game in Homer's Odyssey. The modern version of checkers arrived in the 12th century AD with the adoption of the 64-square board; in the 16th century the rule of capture was added, giving us the contemporary version of the game. The earliest checkers book was published in Spain in 1547. In England and Scotland checkers is called "draughts."

msmoon: (MM's Jellies!)
A few days ago I noticed that the D&D class books were no longer available through Amazon. So I went ahead about bought them all new/used. The cool part? I found them all from one seller, which made it less expensive, and the most expensive book was a little over $8! I paid more for shipping & handling! These are books that cost approximately $20 a pop! I just felt proud of myself and decided to bask a bit. I haven’t gotten the books in yet, but I do look forward to their arrival. Maybe it’ll help me with my own classes a bit more -.-‘’’
