Pensive
Well, today’s been nice. Really. I mean, it’s the first day I haven’t had to get up at 5 a.m. I feel great! Well. Ok, not great, but as great as I get to getting great. Yesterday was bad =.= I woke up…hell I don’t even remember when I went to sleep. But I know I actually got up around 3:45 ish. I felt so terrible I actually called in sick to church. I don’t do that unless it’s really bad and let me assure you that it was.
For some odd reason, I decided to rewatch The Lord of the Rings...and when I say rewatch, I mean watch everything. Not just the movies but the extra extended stuff too, because I don’t have enough points on my nerd card /sarcasm. I tell you what, watching the first of the two bonus discs always makes me thing about what I’d do if. I’ve always said I’d rather do an animated movie rather than live-action movie. But now that the issue has been discussed, I’d much rather a live action movie. And then they got into the whole ‘armor’ and ‘weapons’ and ‘costumes’ section of this DVD and I was like “Hmm, well this race of characters is like this because of this” and then I kinda stepped outside myself and was like “Whoa…” It’s like I have amnesia or something until I start talking about it or am asked about it. It’s all in my head, but I don’t know it’s there until I actually start vocalizing it. It’s weird =.= Well...maybe not weird, but just not quite normal. Normal people don’t sit around saying things like that. Not that I want to be normal. Then again, now that I’ve found out Gillian’s got the same sort of dilemmas, I don’t feel so lost. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think we were starting our own buddy system here.
Speaking of Gillian, I feel awful because I haven’t e-mailed her back yet. I’ve been able at any time to do so, but I just can’t get my enthusiasm on here. On the other hand, I cannot wait to get her letter in. She said she’d be willing to draw my characters for me, since I can’t draw a decent straight line (I kid you not), so I sent Kerani and of course Ruby as the first two. And now all the other characters seem to have woken up and are all clamoring for a turn. Alex has been the most aggressive (which isn’t too surprising given her nature). But it goes without saying that if you have a visual of Ruby you have to have one of Alex too. And of course the list just keeps getting bigger. If you do Alex then you have to do Garnet and Amythest and Golem and of course let’s take a break from the Three and go over to Rexa (you have to do Rexa!) and Calladi, and then Damaris and Kuroneko, and Keibo, and that’s just a few of the female characters. I suppose it’s because the characters have never been so clear in my head before, and Gillian’s such a damn good artist that simply the possibility excites me.
And then I have to remind myself that I’m still in the real world and I need to push that all back down till I can focus on it. /shrugs Oh well. I’m off to watch CSI: Miami with Mom. G’night!
