Something's done, at last!

Yo. Today was actually quite productive. I took up almost all day today converting EQ pics. I have, like a bazillion of those things! I take pics like crazy in EQ, and I just stored them away in old files. I had them in the ‘My Pictures’ File so that whenever my screen saver would come up, it would show case those pictures. The only problem is they take a lot of space on a hard drive...

When I knew I was quitting for sure, I wanted to take as many pics of basic stuff up till that point. So, I started taking pics like mad, but then a problem arose. Whenever you take a picture in EQ, it saves it as a .bmp file, which is great if you can convert it right away and have plenty of space. I had neither. So one day I log on to get ready and play EQ again, and my computer sends me a message. “You have only 1% of space left on your computer. Please delete some things to free up some space.” I couldn’t even defrag, ‘cause defraging takes at least 20% or something. So, I took all my current EQ pics and burned them to CD. Not the ones that were new .bmp files, just old ones that I had for forever. It took about 5 or 6 CDs just for that. Then I treid converting those .bmp files...that turned out hard since I’d taken billions of pics. So, in the end, I just burned everything to a dozen or so CDs and left it at that. I vowed that eventually I’d put everything back and convert it and then re-save it to CD so it’d be complete (I’m obsessive about these things, I know -.-;).

But anyway, today I had all those files onced-over, then I converted them all and put them in designated folders. Not only that, but I also worked on the EQ Characters section of my web site. The one that I’m forming now that is. My old web site pains me very time I look at it, but I remind myself that I am working hard to do things every day. And today was one of the biggest. I worked on the RPG section of the web site and then the EQ Characters section as well. It doesn’t seem like much, really, but in fact it was.

Of course I did find time to take a break and watch Ghostbusters 2 somewhere in there. I also showered and ate occasionally. But you know. I just love the Ghostbusters movies. I know their old, but it’s like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies. You just don’t get tired of them...I probably should bring those to Chibi’s sometime...God, I remember when I was little and the Ninja Turtles movies came out. My friend was telling me about it and he was like,

“It’s a really good movie. It only has, like, three bad parts in it where one of them says *looks around and whispers* damn.

I remember how we all would mute the TV when each individual ‘damn’ would come up, because that was such a bad word! Now, saying damn would be the least of my worries!

I totally put off going through all the unlabeled tapes in my room again /sigh. The task just seems so massive, I don’t even want to try working on it. At least with my web site, I can focus on one small area at a time, so that it doesn’t seem so huge (even though it’d make Bill Gates whimper). I used to tape shows that I loved. But I wouldn’t just tape them to see what came on each day ‘cause I was busy; I’d tape them and keep them and watch them over and over again. I have old tapes of Batman, Xena, Hercules, Spiderman, Superman, (of course) Gargoyles and Thundercats as well. And that’s just all the stuff I taped regularely, not counting whatever I wanted to tape on a whim. As a result, I now have tapes in various stacks all over my room and in my movie closet that are unlabeled, or in disarray or just aren’t good quality tapes anymore. Of course now that they’ve come out with most of that stuff (at least the important ones [Gargoyles, Thundercasts, Batman, Herc & Xena] on DVD, I don’t really mind throwing it away…But first I wanna see what’s on there!

Tomorrow...I will be going to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com].We haven’t gotten together in a couple of weeks, and she still hasn’t seen Red vs. Blue season 3...and we both wanna go see that movie, so what better excuse than to go see it? She still hasn’t e-mailed me about whether or not she wants me to come and get her or not...oh well. I’ll call her or something. Damn...it’s already 12? Hmm...that’s not too late for her though. Oh well. Tomorrow should be fun. But it is now late and I must be off into dream land. Goodnight to all...and to all, Goodnight.
