msmoon | Heroes - Episode 2 x 06

OK, Heroes was last night, and I have no one to talk about it with. So I’m going to actually do a rant/review here. So here it is...it's my first time, so be gentle.

Hiro. I tend to love anything that has Hiro in it, he’s just too adorable and genki not to love. But lately he hasn’t been our genki Hiro...Also, I’m seriously beginning to believe that Hiro is “The Dragon”. You know how in Season 1, they told Hiro’s favorite tale of Kensei? Where Kensei learned to be a sword saint from a dragon? But then once all his good deeds were done and he was established, the dragon came demanding the heart of the princess, but Kensei took her place? I’m thinking that since the Japanese tend to wax poetic about the things in the strangest ways, Hiro’s the dragon from the legend. I foresee him and Kensei accidentally going back to the future, and the princess telling the tale her way and making the legend what is now.

Clair Bear. Originally...I wasn’t too big of a Clair fan, but she grew on me after she punched Jackie ^..^ Now, this is just becoming vicarious revenge on any of the popular norms that made my adolescent hell. Thank you for that. I really appreciate it. And it’s good to see a young character advocating individuality.

HRG. Another character that I did not originally like, but any guy that’s willing to become a monster to protect those he loves…I don’t like the means, but I understand that he’s willing to make sacrifices (including his own humanity) for the cause and I love that about him……..what, pray tell, is this “liquid man” creature you speak of? O..o

Peter. I’m loving the memory-loss Petrelli now...I’m also loving that his powers come out more now that he doesn’t know they’re there. It’s like it’s all instinct. Poor NY! Everyone’s gunning for that poor city. I know the traffic can be hell but...What’d New York ever do to you, Kring? June 14, 2008…thanks for the new Apocalypse deadline. S’allways good to know when it’s coming.

Mohinder. Finally. Thank you for growing a back-bone and standing up for something. You should do it more often. Honestly, for a smart man, you can be as dumb as a wall.

Monica. I love you honey. Your accent is tolerable. You have a great heart, in fact I think you might be too nice for this. But really, I do love you. You’re great. I hope you actually end up being St. Joan.

Company. What’s up with you guys? Seriously. Lenderman dies and everything goes to hell in a hand basket.

Matt Parkman. Where the hell are you? Molly needs you! Haul your ass back to base, dude.

Nikki.….w…t…f? I don’t know what’s wrong with you, but you need to stop it. You’re seriously freaking me out here o..o

Wonder Twins + Sylar. ...I don’t really love the twins. I find them interesting, but I’ve yet to find any lasting bit of affection for them. And while Sylar is a yummy-little-scruptious-hunk’a-man-meat, he’s still buckets of crazy. That kills off any logical affection I might have for him. I like him better now that he doesn’t have his powers and is only capable of making creepy-ass threats. It would really be interesting if at some point Al had picked up enough English to figure out what Sylar said. I do enjoy the fact that the twins are opposites in so many ways. Maya can kill with her eyes, Alejandro cancels it out for her; but, Maya is the open, trusting one and Al doesn’t trust anyone or anything it seems. At least they’re in the U.S. now...not that that’ll help to solve their problems much.

…/sighs. Ok. Now I feel a little better. Glad to get that all off my chest. Thanks for listening (or reading, as it were).
