You know how they say you can sometimes tell when someone's watching you? How you 'feel their eyes on you' or how your 'hair stands on end'? Well, I've been thinking how isolated I am here on my hill. I mean, aside from my parents, my nearest (visible) neighbor is half a mile away. Mr. T.J.'s old place is really more visible from the back of my house, but it's farther away. We have one neighbor to our left that's actually really close, and one to our right that's half a mile away. They are on top of their own hill, just like us. I've always been a little creeped out by the guy that lives there. I mean, there's nothing that I could put my finger on or anything, I'd just rather chew aluminum than be in his presence. He's much older than I am, and he lives with his elderly mother because she can't live by herself anymore. Still... there's always been something that made me think he's missing quite a few sandwiches out of his picnic basket.

Then, Mom told me that he has binoculars and watches us whenever he sees us out in the yard.

....!?

Ok, major creep factor here. I mean seriously? Binoculars? Evidently he and his mother have their living room set so that the TV is on the wall near the windows and the windows are always open. So whenever they're just sitting there watching TV, and they see us through the windows, they whip out the binoculars and see what we're doing. I hate nosey people, but this takes it a little far, I'm thinking. I mean, srsly, Gladys Kravitz has nothing on these people. I find such behavior utterly repulsive -..-

I'm very glad that they are so far away, and equally glad that none of my windows (except the one that in the bathroom that I've frosted for privacy) faces their house. Honestly!
