How many fantasy's does that make it?
2006-Apr-27, Thursday 11:57 pmBeware, for I am:
Frustrated
Wow. That’s all I have to say about today. Wow. It was...wow.
Woke up late. That’s always good. At least, since I now have nothing to do, it is. Watched last night’s episode of Bones with Mom. She’s getting to where she likes the show now. Talk about a sad show. It was cool as always, but to think a kid’s gonna die so young. Man. I know it happens all the time all over the world, but when we watch characters on a tv show and get to feel like we know them personally, it just feels that much more sad. Then you realize that it happens all the time and you feel bad that it takes something as superficial as a TV show to get you to remember that, because you always knew it. But still. It was a good show. I now want to go see The Louvre...and that makes me feel stupid because I feel like I’ve allowed the power of suggestion to sink it’s teeth into me. Still, there are worse suggestions I could take.
Next in chronological order came Reiko’s visit, which was short and to the point. She left her copy of Final Fantasy VII – Advent Children in my care, and for that I will be forever grateful. Or something. I must say...I was much happier after she left. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy sharing things with my ‘Mouto-chans, but when it comes to watching something with Reiko that has at least one attractive character in it...things can get...agitating. Things began to take on quite a pattern.
Cloud comes on screen
Reiko: My God! He’s so hot!
Kadaj comes on screen
Reiko: Isn’t he just the hottest!?
Yazoo, and Loz are fighting Cloud
Reiko: Frikkin’ right!
Tifa and Loz fight scene
Reiko: This is so frikkin’ cool! I love Tifa!
scene where Cloud finds Tifa in Aerith’s flower beds and falls unconscious
Reiko: This is my favorite scene!
I’m sure you get the picture -_- However, after she left, I found I couldn’t watch the movie in peace. Mom and the Renters had decided to bar-b-que...and I was hungry. So at this point, nothing would do till I’d cleaned off the table outside, set it with napkins, paper plates and plastic cubs, and hauled everything Mom had fixed from the kitchen to said table. We then ate, made merry, and watched as humming birds darted to the feeders and then fled the scene.
After that I went in and watched the movie...then I rewatched the movie...I was interrupted by d-monthly pains and then I came in and watched the movie again; this time in English. I hated the English and have since decided to stick with the Japanese. The only time one should watch an anime dubbed is when they’ve already seen the original a few times and they’re in the mood for a laugh or otherwise can’t bring themselves to stare at the screen and read subtitles. At least that’s my opinion.
After that, I played a lot of Black&White 2. Then I looked up and realized it was frikkin’ 9 and I’d once again missed Supernatural…/sigh why the hell cant this show rerun at another point in the week like every other show? I mean, CSI comes on 3 nights (Miami – Monday, NY – Wednesday, Vegas – Thursday) and yet it’s on every other night as well, rerunning. Gilmore Girls reruns in the mornings, and in the afternoon every weekday. Even the Soup reruns on Saturdays twice and then on Mondays and Tuesdays (the original episode being on Friday nights). Why can’t Supernatural rerun on Saturday or Sunday? I keep missing my doses and it’s driving me crazy /weep weep.
Ok. Enough about that. Mom had gone off to Grandmere’s house, and she didn’t get back till like...10. So we both sat down and watched CSI. It was great tonight. I was so hoping for a new episode. They finally took advantage of the whole ‘mother of the groom’ stigma thingy. And the thing about the bridesmaids? Did anyone else know that the purpose of the bridesmaids was to shield the bride from harm? In folklore it’s their cause to wear a dress that’s similar to the bride so that evil spirits will get confused and not know which woman to attack. I really had no idea that’s what they were for. You learn something new every day. Oh, and they did the perspective thing again. You know, where they take the same story but from four different people’s point of view so it always seems different. I love it when they do that, but Mom and Dad hate it. I think it’s cool.
Well, that’s all for today. I’m gonna watch FF VII – AC again till I get too tired and konk out. Goodnight.
