Careful of the Welcome Mat

Holy crap! So, I'm sitting in my living room... just finished my breakfast and sipping my coffee; and, I hear this weird 'tunk-tunk' noise. I look around my living room, trying to see if anything's fallen... Then I hear it a bit louder 'tunk-tunk-tunk-tunk!' and I realized it's my door. So... I go over to my door, and I open it-

O..O'''!!!!!

Hundreds of shards of glass just collapsed and fell onto my Welcome mat...

So... I heard my Dad on the tractor this morning.....yeah. He totally chucked a rock my way. /sigh. So, I'm kinda staring at my half collapsed glass door. There really is only a small, oddly shaped hole. I don't really have a broom or dustpan or a vacuum that would work for this. I have Harvey, but ....I don't think that would've worked...So, as I was thinking, I made sure to call Mom and Dad, who had gone to town. After I explained the situation, I politely asked them to get me a broom and dust pan :)

So, I'm looking about at this mess.... I can't leave my front door open, my AC's on (and that's just how I looked at it before laughing at myself). So...after texting everyone, forraged around my house. I came up with those glad force-flex bags.... I used one as a glove, putting my hand in it and just picking up as many peices as I possibly could, and then I used the other one to hold all the glass. First, of course, just picked up the welcome mat and dumped all the glass that was directly on top of it into the trash bag.

And of course, I texted all my friends =..= One of them, Lessie, actually texted back asking if I'd taken pictures... to which, I responded, "Who do you think you're talking to :) of course." :D So. Yeah. Pictures eventually.
