msmoonI’m at church right now, let me go ahead and say that so that it isn’t confusing >..< Our internet has been down for three days....I think. I think it went down Friday afternoon/evening, and it just will not come back. I was playing WoW, and UC went all barren again and no one was on or moving or responding. So I got kicked off. Well, I looked at the modem and it had no DSL or Activity. It has, Power, Ethernet, DSL, and Activity, and usually Power, Ethernet and DSL are lit all the time, and the Activity light flashes. So, I tried to reset the modem. That didn’t work. I tried to unplug the modem for 15 seconds and then plug it back in. The modem kept turning itself on, with all the lights lit up, then each light would blink in turn and then the Activity and DSL lights would go out entirely and it would turn itself off and then on and restart that whole process.
It was most aggravating. I left the modem off for an entire day and then tried again...did nothing. I also tried going to the modems web page, as I call it. Near as I can figure it, there’s no interface....and as I understand it, that means there’s no bridge between my computer and the internet. So, maybe tomorrow we’ll take the modem down to Windstream and ask them to fix it or...something. TV is only so interesting. And I’ve learned that even with a million channels you’ll still have nothing to watch =..= And it’s not necessarily that I’m so active online, or that I get so many e-mails from friends and family, and they all expect me to reply quickly...it’s just more that I need to have internet in order to be content.
Church was fun this morning if only because Mom and Dad had a song to sing in church, and Dad had planed to give Mom this beautiful ring for their anniversary. They’re anniversary is on the 20th, but he has to leave for offshore tomorrow night/Tuesday morning. So, he surprised her with the ring this morning in front of everyone....Personally, I would’ve just died if someone did that to me =..= But Mom loved it, and it was cute, and a serious ‘Awww’ moment...and that’s what matters.
Aaaand that’s all the time I have for updates. Church is starting up and I can’t bury myself behind this screen -..- alas. I’ll check in when my internet is alive again. Later, Sunshines!
