Due to the past occurrences of hurricanes and their volatile nature, Diamond Offshore in its infinite wisdom decided that the men on my Dad’s rig should batten down the hatches and then evacuate. They sent helicopters to the rig so that the men could leave…but evidently, the Mexicans would not let them. So, as a substitute plan, they decided to send our boys to Villahermosa, Mexico. Now, Dad’s in a hotel that they are sandbagging as precaution against the hurricane. The hotel has no TVs and no one speaks English.

I’d just like to let everyone know, that if anything should happen or go ill for my Dad, nine shades of holly hell will be raised. I don’t know how…but they will. As far as I’m concerned, this situation was handled poorly in every way possible. That’s all I have to say about that.

Now, the man is here working on our air conditioner, so we’re hoping that we can get up and running soon. That’s all. Goodnight.
