Good New / Bad News

Well, the bad news is that Lacey, my giggle buddy, has turned in her two-weeks notice (as of this Friday, I think). She said he last day should be the 6th of next month. We’re really going to miss her around here, and I can’t see how anyone will be able to fill her spot appropriately.

The good news would have to be that Lacey isn’t leaving on bad terms. She said that she and her husband were talking and she said she would like to go back to school for Crime Scene Investigator. That’s right, our Lacey wants to be a CSI ^.^ She mentioned it to her dad, and he (apparently) is a bit influential in their parish. He talked to the Sherif’s department, and they (the Sheirf’s department) have offered to pay for her tuition. So, someone else is offering to pay for her to go back to school for her dream and then give her a job. How could she possibly pass up on that? She told us all that the only reason she’d been struggling with it is because of us, and how she really didn’t want to leave us behind. But it is her dream, so we’ve all encouraged her to just go for it. She’s gone on record saying that we (she and I at least) have to go and see Pirates of the Carribbean – At World’s End together. And I fully intend to hold her to that. Let’s just hope the theater isn’t cold.

I fully intend to enjoy the next two weeks as much as I can...After the 6th, we won’t be seeing each other every day anymore.
