A Nexus between Worlds

I’ve been making a lot of references to the a-frame. I would just like to start by saying that Scamp and I have decided that no house of ours will be referred to by such simple terms. Whether we live in the a-frame or not, we’ve decided that we shall call our home ‘Nexus’. Because, what with all the different themes (elvish for her room, fairies in mine, Zen/eastern in the living room for peace, mermaids in the bathroom because of water and dragons in the kitchen because of fire), it will be very much like a nexus between all worlds. I told her ‘I still want it to look somewhat plain on the outside, if only to give the illusion that it totally sucks. Then you step inside and it’s like “….whoooooooaaaaaah…” I just can’t wait to start.

But the plan is to go to the Gathering in June first. After I’ve blown all my savings there, I’ll start saving all over again. Once I get $1,200 in savings, I’ll take out $1,000 and put it in a CD, then I’ll start saving again. I want a bare minimum of $800 in savings before we really start breaking ground with decorating and everything else that may come. They say you’re supposed to have about 3 months pay saved up at all times just in case you get fired or something happens and you need that. Plus it’ll just be like...insurance I suppose. Or maybe reassurance -.-

All right! Enough money talk. Tomorrow is pay day! And, it’s the payday that I can actually enjoy! Sure, I have the automatic transfer and all, but still, there’s gonna be at least $200+ that’ll be in my account and I can do whatever I want with it. Aside from a rather large purchase from Amazon, I’ve no intentions of blowing it all though...then again, I never really intend to blow it all >.> Sometimes it just happens.

Other than that, I’ve little else to talk about. I can’t wait to get Scamp’s pictures in, but I patiently wait till I can add on to the Scamp Art © portfolio ^_^
