Yo. So, today wasn’t a terrible day, but it probably should have been. Mom and I got a call from our kin up in North LA. Mrs. Patsy Sue died today. She had hepatitis and her liver was badly damaged. Well, recently her kidneys failed her and they all knew it was only a matter of time. You know, I should probably be really sad about this, but I’m not. She was so ready to go, and even though I know we’ll all miss her, I’m glad she doesn’t have to deal with that pain any more.
Mom’s been trying to keep up happy by being enthusiastic about my decorating ideas. But I’m happy about that too. I really can’t wait till we can start! The sooner we start the sooner this’ll all be over /weep. No, I’m all right.
So anyway, I got to realizing that very soon my room will be changing, and I want to show you all what it’s been like for the past couple of years. I’ve virtually had the same posters and such for the longest of time, they’ve just moved on occasion. And, because
rattgirl did a picture post and I remembered that I wanted to do one. So! Without further ado!
OK, first the books. I’ve always loved books but, as usual, never had a real place to put them! So, the general rule was “Stack ‘em anywhere!”. This is where books could be found in my room.
or
When the hurricanes came and threatened to flood, oh, the entire world, I decided it might be a good idea to stack those books somewhere so that if the flooding did occur, they’d at least be up on something. So as long as it didn’t flood past those shelves, I’d still have my books.
Then! My dad introduced me to this!
Eh...ok, so he’s had a pair of these sitting in his shed for a few...years. Nothing a good scrubbing wont fix.
Of course, I couldn’t haul these two things into my room and place my books in them, so that meant hauling the books out bit by bit and putting them in the bins as orderly as possible. I tried separating them into similar groups. The following group represents just my Saddle Club collection.
However, I finally got all the books set in! I earned a severe back ache along with the new free space.
Ok, now onto the video closet. I’m not sure if I’ve done this before, but either way, I’m doing it again. Ok, so this was my old video closet.
On the very top shelf are objects that have no other place in my room (the dolls) along with the Sacred Lord of the Rings trilogy special edition thingies! Next shelf is DVDs of all kinds. The next shelf down is anime DVDs and videos along with other important series like X-men: Evolution and...uh...well, other series that I can’t think of right now. Oh, and also my 50 pound rock collection is in the large blue bin. Below that are a slew of nondescript VHS tapes of movies that are slowly degrading and losing worth as I type. Below that are even more degraded VHS tapes, these are things I taped off of TV like Batman, X-men, Spiderman and Gargoyles.
Here are some more close up views of already described chaos.

Here are the four bags of VHS tapes that we decided to throw away. They’re all degraded and not worth a thing. Everything else went to Aunt Batty’s garage sale.

And here’s the closet from anime shelf down. Man! Would you look at the floor!..You can see it!
Ok, so recently Mom and I have decided to over haul my room and do a complete make over...save for the ceiling and carpet of course. So, I decided to take pictures now of where everything was (while it was tidy) and then post after pictures later. OK. So, here we go!

Here’s the wall with my entry door on it, in case you couldn’t tell by the door in the right corner.

And here’s the corner.

And there’s the wall my bed is against.

This is the table that’s on the other side of my bed that no one ever sees! It’s usually so dirty and full of junk that when I tidied it up I had to take a pictures...it’ll probably never look like this again.

Alright there’s the corner where my indigo curtains are (that I will loose after the makeover), and it’s also a great shot of the picture my Aunt Lane gave me so long ago along with the unicorn wind chimes that are hung in the corner from the ceiling. Aunt Carolyn gave me those wind chimes after they’d come back from a vacation somewhere. At night, when I go to sleep I can here them tinkling quietly because of my fan. Oh, you can see the table too, although not too well. And there’s a huge amount of pillows on the floor that you can’t see either.

Here’s computer corner.

And the final wall! And that’s it. I was gonna post a bunch of pictures of the wall art that I have (everything from posters to the small pictures of the planets I have hanging above my closet, but I’ve decided that there are enough pics up here right now.
That’s all for now. I’ll post when I can after we’ve begun making it over.
Phew! Ok, so...uh. After all that I need a cigarette and I don’t even smoke jk. I don’t suppose this entry needs anything more after all that...and there’s nothing new to add. So, goodnight. 6 always comes early.

3. My subtitle is ____ because ____.
4. My friends page is called ____ because ____.
5. My default userpic is ____ because ____.
ANSWERS:
1. My username is msmoon because it’s the first real nickname I’ve ever had, and I’m sticking with it. Oh, and you know, huge Sailor Moon fanatic back in the day and all...
2. My journal is titled From the Silent Planet because of many things. 1) C. S. Lewis’s space trilogy’s first book is Out of the Silent Planet, and for a long time there I didn’t post so it seemed quiet. Quite a change from what’s been going on lately. But the title may change if I change the theme.
3. My subtitle is Where’s My Happy Ending? because I never seem to get one?
4. My friends page is called The Inmates have taken over the Asylum because we're all crazy people and yet we're still in charge of our lives somehow.
5. My default userpic is
because I’ve had the crescent moon as my logo since I had my nickname!
