Ok. I just finished watching The Last Samurai...again. And I'll admit it..I cried...again. I cry ever time I watch the show. And I thought to myself of how Tom Cruise really did a pretty good job in this movie. I mean, he played the character really well. I wasn't thinking at all about him but about what his character stood for.
I've heard a lot of Tom Cruise flack...and, I'll admit, I've only seen him in 2 movies (that I'm aware of), The Last Samurai and Interview with a Vampire.....I found that his portrayals of both characters were good. Honestly, he was the best Lestat that I'd seen on screen. So really, that makes me wonder if this flack he's received isn't unfounded. After all, if he portrays the characters he plays well...isn't that all that matters?
Just another quandary left out to the masses and void.
