But I think my mom was just trying for something that was normal but not common. And then she used the masculine spelling. I wasn't pleased with it, but...let's be honest :| It could'a been much worse.

The only trips that come to mind are the ones that I take by myself. Though, recently, I wasn't flying solo :) I always joke that everywhere I want to go is a minimum of 12 hours away. I was born 12 hours south of where I live now, and a lot of my family is still there. I also have a cousin that lives 12 hours north of me, and I've driven up to see her at least once. The trip is fun, but it leaves you bone-weary. Unless I'm able to stay for about a week, I usually don't even want to go... because I'll just be exhausted from the traveling. Still, there are some that I would travel that long for even if the stay wasn't for more than the round trip :3
