Assembly Line
2005-Jul-30, Saturday 11:34 pmI took 3 pictures. One of my old (yucky) dresser, and then one of the bed with all the junk from the dresser on it. Then I took a picture of the little closet thingy in place. I will post those pictures at a later date when there are plenty of pics on my camera and I can justify going to CVS and having them put on CD.
For some reason, even though I bought a Kodak Easy Share camera, it doesn’t easily share. I asked Brian about it, and he said that it was due to some sort of bug...He went into techo-babble, which I didn’t understand but nodded and murmured politely. From what I can understand, Windows and Kodak just aren’t on speaking terms. He said something about how the USB port system is flawed though. Something about how you’re supposed to be able to plug the camera dock into any USB port and it’s supposed to work, yet somehow Windows doesn’t accept that...Just my luck I suppose.
So, yes, I love my closet/dresser/shelves/drawers, but I’m trying to focus on how nice they look, as opposed to the fact that they’re made out of cheap junk and will fall apart easily. I’ll talk to Dad and draw up some plan for my own dresser unit.
You may laugh, but I did draw my own plans for my bookshelves. My dad checked everything over and he says that all the measurements are accurate and well-planned. I’ve been discussing them for the past 6 weeks I’d say, and I can’t wait to see them go up. Here is a picture for your viewing pleasure. It’s very plain but all I needed were the measurements...and besides, I can’t even draw stick people. You think I’m gonna try furniture!
amai_tenshi posted in her journal...and it isn’t quite August yet...it will soon snow in South Louisianna.
Well that’s all for tonight. I really need to give myself a pedicure...but I just haven’t made the time for it lately. Oh well. Goodnight.

You seek out information because you know that expanding your horizons will probably benefit you in the long run. You know that staying on the cutting-edge is the surest way to success and recognition. Still, you lead a busy life and, for the most part, you don't have time to blindly try new things. You will probably make an excellent mid- to high-level manager in a gigantic corporation that will eat you alive. You will wake up one day when you're 55 wondering where your life went. Enjoy! |
