Poor Daddy...

Ok, so Dad came in from work today. He really was off yesterday, but he went to his sister’s house and slept the night before leaving early this morning. He had a really bad hitch this time out, because half way through, he was using a wrench on this machine, and his hands slipped….and the wrench kicked-back and hit him right in the face. He had two black eyes and a cut just above his nose =..= Poor Daddy. The guys on the rig got a kick out of it though; they kept saying, “You’re wife got tired of putting up with your trash didn’t she!”

And today, he got up and drove as far as he could. He stopped in...Tallulah, LA, at a rest stop to sleep some because he got really sleepy. He woke up and went to the bathroom, and then he headed out. Well, about an hour and a half later, he pulled into a gas station only to discover that his wallet was missing! He looked all over his truck and couldn’t find it, so he assumed he lost it at that rest stop. So, he asked the manager of the store if he could give him the credit card number for some gas, because he only had a quarter of a tank left. The guy said he couldn’t do that because he’d be fire, but he gave Dad $20! Dad got that much gas and headed back towards the rest stop. Well, after a second, he figured, this isn’t right. So he pulled over and just tore through his truck….and he found his wallet on underneath a cushion that was under the passenger seat. It must have come loose when he was sleeping and when he started driving it moved or something.

So! He headed back to that gas station and paid the manager back, offering him $20 more than he’d originally given him ($40). The man said, no, the reason he gave Dad that money is because he was in need, and he’d like it better if my Dad were to give it to someone else in need. So Dad said that he would, and he gave the man our address and phone number and told him if ever he or his family wanted to come up to Branson, He’d pay for him to go to a show and show him around.

Dad finally got home around 4, and boy but he was bone tired. It’s just been a really long day for him. I'm just glad he's home, safe and sound...well, for the most part ^..^

Oh, I finished making out my Christmas cards today. They’re in the mailbox right now. So, if I won’t be around on Christmas and I have your address, then you might be getting a card soon (for people like Chibi, Reiko, and Scamp, who I’ll actually be seeing at or around Christmas; tough luck, you’re stuck with presents!). So yeah…productive day today. What else did I do? ….oh! I bought the two remaining Deviant Project CDs that are on iTunes (it’s so much cheaper!) and Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s
Beethoven's Last Night. I really just love that music =..= I can’t help myself. And it’s so cheap on iTunes.

We’re all getting ready for supper and to go to church tonight. I think Calliope is pretty charged too. So I guess I’ll talk later, Sunshines!

You Are Flannel Pajamas

You seek comfort above everything else. You rather feel good than look good.

You are a very relaxed person, especially when you're surrounded by your favorite things and people.

You are a homebody. Home is the place where you can truly be yourself.

You are likely to wear pajamas a lot. In fact, you often change into your pj's the minute you get home!
