Ok, so here I am, it’s late Tuesday night and I wanna write to you guys. Of course I can’t right? Wrong. I’m so gonna write on this jump drive and posting it tomorrow. So here’s a few of the subjects I’d jotted down to focus my energy on.

Character Profiles. I must confess...I have maybe 5 character profiles written. That’s right. Out of the estimated 1330 characters that I have record of in my books, I’ve maybe 5 profiles. Maybe. Of course, now that Scamp’s offered to draw some of my characters, I’ve been wanting to hurry up and make those profiles. My biggest thing so far? Working out the kinks in Topez’s profile because of all the characters I want to see, he’s the one that I really really really must see.

B&W2: Music that Inspires. Ok, so does everyone know about the game Black&White and it’s (better) sequel of Black&White 2? Well, if you don’t know, listen up. You’re about to be schooled. Black&White was on ok game. Black&White 2 was better but just as confining...and consuming. Perhaps you’ve heard of “god games” like the Sims in which you create characters and then watch over them and try to control them and order their lives. Black&White leaves little mystery to the term ‘god game’ if only because you are a god in the game. A god in a ancient civilization but a god still. You have your conscience of good and evil that advises you as to how to handle situations, but ultimately you make the choice as to whether you wish to be good or evil (black or white). In the first game you have to keep your people happy, train up your creature, and defeat other god(s). It becomes tedious because of that. In the second you have to build up your people (the Greeks) after a massive attack on your original home city by the great Aztec army. You hop from Island to Island; first learning what it takes to build up your people and later learning what it means to make war on other people or to convert them to your own. I haven’t been telling you this to brag on the game though. I’ve been telling you this to tell you of the music. I’m not sure how many people notice the music that’s put into these games. Well, I happened to be looking through the B&W2 files to look and see if they kept screenshots, because I happened to notice that they did in the first one when I noticed the music files. I listened to them and fell in love. It’s such good music (some of them at least), and I find it so moving. So I’ve been reading this book that says that you need music when you’re writing at times and it needs to have no vocals or very few vocals. The focus has to be on the music and the feel of the music. Well, I thought, “Great! I’ll came a CD of that or something and I can listen to it while I write.” ……My CD recording software doesn’t recognize the files. All it says is that it’s winamp files, so I don’t get why it can’t see it. But I’m wondering if there’s any way to convert those files so that I can make a CD of them……or maybe I’ll ask Chibi if she could do it...She’s the guru.

Iowa/Heaven. Ok! So today I got The Pacifier and Field of Dreams. I’m watching Field of Dreams and I hear a line repeat itself in two different parts of the script. In the first part it’s where Shoeless Joe Jackson asks Ray if this is Heaven. Ray says, “No. It’s Iowa.” And Joe looks at him for a moment and then runs off. Then at the end of the movie, Ray’s Dad asks if it’s heaven and Ray says again, “No. It’s Iowa.” And then his dad says “...I could’ve sworn it was heaven...” then Ray asks, “Is there a heaven?” and his dad says “Oh yes...it’s a place where dreams come true.” So Ray thinks about that, looks around and sees his wife and daughter on the front porch laughing and he says, “Maybe this is heaven.” The first thing that entered my mind……………….was [personal profile] rattgirl. I wanted to log on, get to LJ and leave a huge comment about “HOLY SH*T! You live in heaven, dude!!!”…maybe I still will. And she’ll be all like “O.o This is heaven? How cruel is that?” or something and I’ll have to direct her back here to this crazy rant and she’ll be all like “LOL!!”. That’ll be fun. It’ll be great.

I think I’ve decided to copy a few movies for Lacey. She loves romances that are set back in the day (like Pride & Prejudice) and I have quite a few of those. So I’ve decided to go through my long list of movies and find a few that she’d like. I was trying to remember which ones I had loaned her a while back that she never watched (The Inheritance being one of them, it’s the first movie I decided to copy), but as in all things my memory is for crap. I’m pretty sure (but not definitely sure) that Little Women and A League of their Own was in that list...I’ll have to ask.

That’ll be all for now. Later!

What Disney Princess are you?
Belle

You see past the bad things in people. You also don't settle for someone who is below your standards. You care about your education and you love your family. It takes a lot to win your heart, but once someone does they can count on you to be loyal.
