Fact of the Day: New England
New England is in the northeastern region of the United States. The six states that make up New England are Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. The region was named by Captain John Smith, who explored its shores in 1614 on behalf of some London merchants. New England was soon settled by English Puritans who believed in hard work and were happy to spend their time building new communities.Holidays
