Things have been better but...
2008-May-12, Monday 12:32 pmI’m still sick, and so I haven’t been playing WoW or anything. Luckily I got like 7 new movies (all thanks to the Mall gift certificate my coworkers gave me for Secretary’s week). So this was very much a movie weekend. Let me try to recollect what happened this weekend.
Saturday morning I woke up much much earlier than usual. I had coughed all night long and I got up around 7:30. I showered, did my hair (minimally) and got ready. I went to town, drawing out some money from my savings account (not just for the Mother’s Day thingy but for Mecha Con prep). I went to Wal-Mart, got some Robitussin and some Ricola’s. I also stopped along the road and took pictures of the buttercups and wildflowers. Buttercups are my favorite flower and they’re covering the whole town. I’ve been meaning to stop and take pics of them, but traffic is always so bad. I discovered that town at 8:45 on a Saturday is a beautiful thing...no one’s out.
Anyway, I finally got all the stuff at Wal-Mart that I wanted and I headed back to the mall. Unfortunately, the mall doesn’t really open till 10. The mall itself is open for the walkers at 9, but the shops and services aren’t open till 10. So, I walked one lap in the mall, and my leg was kicking my ass for it. My heal on my right leg is still killing me; mostly when I walk flat on my feet or on flat shoes, but it still hurts either way. Then I waited 20 minutes at the customer service center, and got a $100 gift certificate for Mom, but I only spent $80 because the mall sent me a promotional thing for all of May. You get a gift certificate and every $20 you put on it they’ll put $5. So $20=$25, $40=$50, $80=$100 etc. Then I went down the store called the Sound Shop and spent the gift certificate the girls had given me on movies. I’ll review them later.
Then I went home and slothed around the entire weekend. Mother’s day I was feeling worse than before. I didn’t go to church and missed out on lunch (sleeping through most of it). Mom and Dad finally called from the grocery store asking if there was anything I needed. I asked for bread, eggs and chicken noodle, the latter of which has been a main meal for the past week.
Mom wasn’t feeling great either. Evidently she ate something that didn’t agree with her. I gave her the earrings first, and she loved them and then I gave her the gift certificate which she said I shouldn’t have but she loved it. She then went to bed while I fixed my soup...Dad came back over and we watched Last Holiday (which I’d gotten at the Sound Shop the day before). Funny funny movie. I then went home and spent the rest of the day watching Sailor Moon Super which I’ve very slowly been going through.
This morning I had to go to the doctor’s office around 9:15. They gave me a shot and antibiotics and a couple of prescriptions to fill. I’m just so tired, I can’t wait to get through the day.
I guess that’s all…I can’t think of anything else to write yet. Later, Sunshines =..=
What's Important to You... And What Isn't: |
![]() For you, primal needs like eating and sleeping are your top priorities. You find getting things done to be incredibly stressful. You don't like having things to do. You attend to almost every priority in your life. You don't neglect much. You want your health to be a high priority, but you don't often get around to taking care of it. |
