Life's passin' by

So, this morning (about five minutes ago), Maria says to me, “I thought about you yesterday because I saw something on TV about a Super Hero convention.” To which I replied blithely, “That sounds really dorky.” Then I finished up my work and left without paying much attention to whatever else they may’ve been saying. ...Not because I think hero conventions are dorky, mind you…but because the mood I am in right now isn’t very playful (although the first thing that popped into my head was the ‘Who Wants to be a Superhero” thing, and I think that is really dorky).

I don’t think my problems are worth hashing…or unhashing or rehashing or whatever. Suffice to say I’m bummed because one of my best friends is. Hopefully now that I’ve eaten and woke up a little, things will seem a bit better, but.../shrugs It’s just not easy to know someone special is going through something and also knowing there isn’t anything you can do. I suck at consolation...and feeling anything in general I suppose. It’s the price you pay for switching yourself onto auto-pilot.

So everyone else can just kiss my fat ass. If you aren’t helping me get through the work day, then I don’t really care. I’m here, bound by obligation, until 5. Then I’m home and nothing else matters. There’s nothing else to say, and even if there were, I'm too tired to say it.
