I think I just woke up a few minutes ago, only to have Chinese food and then flat line from the MSG =..=’ I didn’t stay up that late! I think I went to bed… a little after 11. True, not exactly the best of times to turn in, but it’s not like it was 2 in the morning or something.
Scamp and I went to see Transformers last night. Twas a good movie all over again...we talked about movies that are spin offs of series or other original works. I have a theory that you should never go in to such a movie expecting to enjoy it or it to be anything like the original. Because there’s no way that anything compairs to what the original is (that I can remember)….except maybe the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Sure it wasn’t exact, but considering all the work they put in and what a tribute they made to Tolkien, I think it’s a damn good piece on it’s own. So, that’s possibly the one exception that I’ve known. (I will not mention annoying teenyboppers in front of us. I will not mention annoying teenyboppers in front of us. I will not mention annoying teenyboppers in front of us.)
We got even deeper into said discussion when we got home and Josh was watching Resident Evil. He told us that the movie(s) were no where near as good as the games they came from. Then we got to talking about a WoW movie (if ever one should be made) and how terrible it could possibly end up. I mean, look at the Dungeons and Dragons movie (which I’ll be buying to support the fandom if nothing else).
I have now added the following items to my wish list: TRANSFORMERS Generation 1 (G1) : Complete DVD Box Set, Seasons 1, 2 and 3 of Beast Wars, along with Transformers Beast Machines , though I’m not sure what I’ll be getting or in what order. …Or when. Ah well. It’ll all happen eventually.
Scamp gave me quite a scare this morning. I woke up…and she was up. And I’m like “WTF, you up?” and she tells me she thinks a spider came down beside her…and bit her foot O..O’’ I don’t know what to do with spider bites! I joked that I should rub some aloe vera on her neck (total Red vs. Blue joke). Then she said that maybe she just hurt the ingrown toenail she’s got =..= Well, at least that’s better than having poison in you or something. I just called her and she said she’d soaked her foot in Epsom Salt (and she’s medicated) and it’s not quite a bad. Which is good. I just hope it gets better as time goes and she can have a more worry free vacation.
Other than that…nothing new is going on. Hope all a ya’ll are doing fine. I’ll talk more later. Until then, Sunshines.
