Good morning, Glory....Hello, Sunshine!

Mood: Thankful

Yo. I woke up around 12ish this morning. So I feel a little bit better...but I still have my cough and it hurts all over my torso when I cough. Plus the feel of the junk in my throat isn’t pleasant in the least.

The sun just came out a little while ago. The wind is still taking its fury out on anything in it’s path, but the rain has stopped. Mom and I turned on HTV (Houma TV) and were devastated by what we saw. Dulac, Montegut, lower Lafourche, lower Terrebonne...all flooded. People are out in their boats rather than their houses. The bayous have over bourn their banks and you can no longer tell where the roads are. Schools, Churches, Homes, Garages, Business, Post offices...all are flooded. The water ranges from a few inches in the door, to nearly the tops of mail boxes and windows. The scary part...is that we are lucky. We weren’t hit nearly as hard as Lafayette, Abbeville, Lake Charles, and Port Arthur.

As for us, we are extremely blessed. We have the high ground, and so we didn’t flooded. But the only wind damage we’ve sustained is the loss of a small apple tree. We are so blessed.

Now, I am off to go take some medicine, lay in bed with Mr. Bunny, and try to forget this ache in my chest. Later.

Still Cataloging Stuff

Mood: Drugged

Yo. Again, today was productive but utterly boring. We finally did go through all my VHS tapes and threw away 4 bags worth of tapes. The tapes were either worn out and old, or just things I’d taped from TV ages ago (batman, Spiderman, gargoyles, Hercules, Xena, anime, the Rosie show, etc). So, my ‘movie closet’ looks much more...barren now.

Here’s the list of the good VHS tapes I had that I’m considering selling whenever we do move.( Weird Stuff )

Other than that...all I really did was laze around all day...I’m getting into a bad habit of doing that...but I don’t have much energy to do anything else. Mom says it’s the cough syrup...I’ve decided that that’s gonna be my story, and I’m sticking with it.

And tomorrow will come early and it will be long too. So I’ll go ahead and close for tonight. Goodnight.
