Better Reception

Hey Mina. My ear’s doing a lot better now. Today was such a trip though. School sucked—as it usually does—I still haven’t done much in the way of my speech. We had a speech test, which gave me a total headache (the test was at least seven pages long!). Then I got out of school at 1 instead of 1:30 and Mom and Dad weren’t there right away so I had to wait. They only made me wait fifteen minutes, so it’s no big deal.

Went to the doctor’s office...We waited...maybe thirty minutes before we were showed to a room...then waited at least an hour before we actually saw the doctor. It was terrible. I was getting headaches behind my eyes and my noise was bothering me big time. Finally he saw us and he sprayed some stuff in my noise to clear up the congestion—which worked great but made my noise run and burn like crazy.

Then he peeked in my ears and saw that the left on was clogged a little and the right was totally blocked. So he got some itsy bitsy tweezers and pulled two huge globs of ear wax out of the left ear—didn’t feel all that great, but it was better than what happened next. He had to use a suction thingy to suck out the ear wax in the right ear. It sounded like my ear was the Grand Canyon on rare day when a hurricane passed through! It made my head ache that much worse, and made me dizzy to boot. And that’s not the best part. I got home and realized that my ear still feels blocked! So mom decided to buy a syringe and some of that ear cleaning fluid that dissolves wax and we’d use that since using q-tips gave a less than desirable out come.

But anyway, after a little shopping we came home and after Mom got the food started, we watched Gilmore Girls and Survivor—the ones I had taped for her last week since she was away. Then I got online—it was around 6—and Twin-san wasn’t on, but since Tribe is on tonight I didn’t really expect her to be. So I got off pretty quickly. Then I took my shower, and set something for Mom to tape—I think it’s that special thing of Third Watch...

And now I’m updating everything and about to go to sleep. I gotta get up at 7 tomorrow. But that’s no where near as early as Dad. He has to leave at 2 or so in the morning for his flight offshore. I always hate it when he has to go. The two weeks in always seem to pass by so fast. Oh well. That’s life I suppose.

Oh also, Dad said that next time he comes in we’re gonna go browsing for cars. And when we find one we like, we’ll trade in our old Mercury for it and it’ll be mine. I’ll only have to share it a few select times with them, which I don’t mind at all since I share both the car and truck with them all the time. And the car will be in my name, and they’ll pay the notes till I get a job. I love my parents ^.^

That’s about all I can think to write about now. Tomorrow I’m really gonna crack down on the speech thing...but there’s only so much I can do really. I figure last time I prepared and memorized my speech and I choked up and shook and was more nervous than anything, so maybe doing things totally opposite will help...I guess that’s all for now Mina. That’s all she wrote.
