Beware, for I am: Nervous Nervous

My parents came back last night because they thought that my Dad was trying to pass a kidney stone. He went to the doctor this morning only to find that he doesn’t have kidney stones. He has a kidney infection. The doctor said it’s a good thing that he came when he did. A few more days and ‘there would’ve been no help for it.’ What a scary thought. He’s now running fever and sweating and then getting cold chills. We give him plenty of water and cranberry juice, but really there’s just no way to keep him comfortable. The doctor told him to take Tylenol for the pain. Why the hell do these people go away to college for years if they’re gonna give you half-assed meds? I mean, he knows that he’s in this pain. He knows that the man can’t stand because of the pain in his back. For God’s sake, give him something that’ll help! But no, you tell him to take Tylenol. I swear.

Well. I’ve showered. And work was great today. Nothing too strenuous. The great thing about being at the bottom is the fact that your responsibilities are minimal. Copy this, fax this, sort that, you’re done. So that’s good. I’m gonna go relax till 10. I expect Reiko will be calling to get her stuff. Later.
