Yo. I was just about to sit down and type up stuff and start looking around at everything...and the power went out...It’s so clear outside it isn’t even funny. We went through Rita without even loosing Internet, and then all of a sudden, in the middle of mild weather...our power goes out! WTF!
We sat in the dark for like fifteen minutes, and then the power mysteriously came back on. /shrug. So anyway. Today was painful. Not for me of course. It was terrible for Mom though. She was called early by the eye doctor who reminded her about how she had that eye surgery today. But she only had 10 minutes till her appointment, so she just got ready and left. Well, she didn’t get back till noonish...she was in so much pain. I hate it when she’s in pain and I can’t do anything about it. It was so bad, we went back to the doctor, and he gave her something to lubricate the eye. Well, that only made things worse. So we called the doctor, and he said to go to the drug store and buy some stuff. It’s a jell you put in your eye that coats the eye and sooths it...supposedly. So we did that, but it didn’t really help too much. But after resting in a dark room with an ice pack over half her face for a while, she was more relaxed so that helped in the end. Now’s she watching the Amazing Race with one eye, while Dad massages her feet.
So that is my day. I shall now go and search Amazon.com for calligraphy instructor set. I’ve only just realized that people have been buying me these fancy books that I could write in...but they’re like super super nice, so I really don’t want to write in them with my terrible hand writing. So, now I’ve taken an interest in learning to make my writing more pretty.
I suppose I’ll sign off for now. No one to talk to and nothing to do. Goodnight.

These bizarre creatures are well known for their weird brooding habits.
They mate in the water, and as the eggs are released the male fertilizes them and presses them to the back of the female. The skin grows around the eggs to enclose them where they will develop over the next 80 days. The young emerge out of the back of this toad as a bunch of tiny froglets!
