Work and Ambitions

Yo. Today I accomplished something other than getting up. After I got up, Mom and I watched the Filthy Rich Cattle Drive that I taped, and we both decided that we hate Fabian to even greater extents. As the show is progressing, he’s becoming less liked...in my household at least. Anyway. I was already hungry, which was ok ‘cause it was almost 12:00 p.m. Well, Mom and Dad had gone to the houseboat the other night. My Uncle C has a houseboat and whenever we want to get some crabs, we go over there. So she said we’d be boiling crabs, and it’d take about 20 minutes to get them done.

So, to make myself stop thinking about my hunger, I got on and started typing up stuff from this stack of insurmountable papers on my desk here. I think I got rid of a least 17 papers. But then I looked up and realized, it was 2:35...and still no crabs. / ¬_¬ Turns out the thing Dad wanted to use to boil the crabs on outside wasn’t working. So they had to improvise. But we finally did get to eat crabs, and it was good. Dad ended up pealing the crabs for me, which was great because it’s hard for me to peel crabs. /shrug.

After I’d washed up from the smelliness of the crab stuffs, I went to my room and started watching Sailor Moon R. I finally finished the first sesons of Sailor Moon, and I’ve been bored so I figured, why not move on to R? It seems fitting. But I keep wanting to watch Sailor Moon Supers and I can’t. I could, but it’s all on VHS, and my VCR has been VHS Unfriendly lately. It tears up tapes a lot, and when it does play it makes terrible ringing sounds while the dialog and everything is playing. Weird. I can’t wait till I can afford to buy the rest of the anime I want on DVD...Let’s see...there’s Fruit’s Basket, Slayers Next and Try...the Slayers Movies (there’s like 7 of them I think...), Magic Knight Rayearth seasons 1 and 2 and the OVA, and of course Sailor Moon Supers and Super S, then there’s Fushigi Yugi seasons 1 and 2…not to mention the anime movies, Princess Mononoke, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, and Spirited Away! Gosh...I’ve got so much work ahead of me.

We went to church tonight, and they had a bunch of people there from Chicago...and we were wondering what was going on, but we assumed they were on a ‘Missions Trip’. Their pastor, whose name I wont even attempt to spell, preached. It was really good. It’s the first Wednesday in a long time that we had Sis. Janet singing and Bro. Troy came to help her! He hasn’t sung in ages, but when he did tonight it felt so good just to hear him. And the pastor was not long winded. It’s wonderful to have a man who can actually say what he wants to say without dragging it out. He even had a long alter service, and we still have like 19 minutes left on the tapes.

There was this guy that was with them who was taking pictures. He kept trying to find a nice spot to take them, without getting people’s heads in the shot. So I told him to come into the sound booth and take pics. He was very thankful, and as a fellow photographer, I didn’t mind in the slightest.

That reminds me...I really need to get to CVS and get my pics developed or put to CD or whatever it is I wish to do with them. I wanted to take pics of other things around the community that showed the effects of the hurricane. Truthfully, there’s very little damage around here. Trees are down, some shingles are gone as well as a few tin roofs, but other than that, we’re extremely blessed.

Well, I guess that’s all for tonight. I still need to take pills and shower...with extreme emphasis on the taking of the pills. Goodnight.

You are full of charm and cheer. You light up a room.

And while you crave attention, you do it without ego.

You are an interesting mix of contradictions - and very unpredictable.

You are both dependent and independent, calm and restless.

You are passionate, emotional, gregarious, and (at times) unforgiving.
