...getting...slee~eepy...
Mellow
Wow...what a day. We finally had a lull in there...somewhere between...oh, I don’t know...4:15 and 4:45. Then Mr. M (the big boss) came back in and freaked out because Mrs. C and I hadn’t put copies of the e-mail we’d sent out in the files for the flood and property folders. Mrs. C quickly brought up the e-mails (along with every other piece of paperwork we’d done) and printed everything out, clipped it all together, and placed it all in the fold just so he couldn’t complain. And we did all this while he was chatting away on the phone. By the time he got off the phone, it was 5:05, and we were half way out the door. He stopped us and check to see everything was there, and then let us go once he realized that we’d printed everything out twice just to make sure -.- Looking back at it, it’s hilarious. At the time it was mildly-annoying. You know; the type of annoyed you get when you can work up a good annoyed. Yeah. Mildly annoying.
Ok, so on the way home I stopped at a hand’s free car wash. Man, I love those things. And my baby was so dirty. So now the Puma is full of gas, and it nice and clean. MM is very happy. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not the type that has to have everything a certain way. If my car is dirty and I can’t afford to go have it washed, then I’m perfectly content to just let it slide. But when I’m perfectly capable of taking it to a place where other people wash it or machines do it for me, then I really want to get the problem taken care of. It was also very fun, because Reiko had lent me hear Skindread CD (the Jamaican Hard Core group ^.^), so while the pressure wash was rocking my car back and forth slightly and doing a killer impersonation of hurricane Rita, I cranked the radio up and rocked with the car to the music!
You know, I don’t know why Reiko decided to let me borrow that CD. I mean..I don’t like Hard core very much. Sure, sometimes it sounds cool (from afar), but over-all, it’s a headache on a disk. And while it could be argued that I am the Queen of the Caribbean Music scene (please tell me you can feel the sarcasm as you read this), I honestly don’t have that much Jamaican music to show for it…not that I don’t like Jamaican music...at least, I think I like Jamaican music...Well, put it this way; I’ve never disliked Jamaican music.
How did I get on that subject? Never mind -.-
So, I get home and Mom’s got a women’s meeting to rush off to. She’s got this huge pot of chili ready for me to take to work tomorrow. I sent an e-mail around before I left mentioning that my mom wanted to cook chili for the lot of us, and the general response was positive. Although I don’t know of any group of red-blooded, American women that would pass up the chance of a free meal or the chance not to cook. So, I fixed some college cuisine (ramen noodle -.-) and watched the back dated episodes of Gilmore Girls that I’ve been missing in the mornings. Damn, but I love that show. I really have to buy the first season so that I can force Chibi (
amai_tenshi) into watching it.
Oh, that’s another thing. Has anyone noticed that my personalized icons for my friends are no longer working? I’ve gone over to The Massive Tool thingy, and it still just isn’t working. And I’m left wondering what’s up. I mean, if I’m doing everything right, dare I say that it’s something wrong with their code?
Anyway...Mom just called and she’s coming home. That means another round with the blow dryer. I just wish we could put a straightener in my hair that would work without giving me sores all over my scalp. Oh well. After Mom works her magic, I’m gonna take pills and watch Slayers Next till I konk out. So goodnight.
